1. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. ADONAI said to Moshe,

2. நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: புருஷனாகிலும் ஸ்திரீயாகிலும் கர்த்தருக்கென்று விரதம் பண்ணிக்கொண்டவர்களாயிருக்கும்படி நசரேய விரதமாகிய ஒரு விசேஷித்த பொருத்தனையைப்பண்ணினால்,

2. Tell the people of Isra'el, 'When either a man or a woman makes a special kind of vow, the vow of a [nazir], consecrating himself to ADONAI;

3. அப்படிப்பட்டவன் திராட்சரசத்தையும் மதுபானத்தையும் விலக்கக்கடவன்; அவன் திராட்சரசத்தின் காடியையும் மற்ற மதுபானத்தின் காடியையும், திராட்சரசத்தினால் செய்த எவ்விதமான பானத்தையும் குடியாமலும், திராட்சப்பழங்களையாவது திராட்சவற்றல்களையாவது புசியாமலும்,

3. he is to abstain from wine and other intoxicating liquor, he is not to drink vinegar from either source, he is not to drink grape juice, and he is not to eat grapes or raisins.

4. தான் நசரேயனாயிருக்கும் நாளெல்லாம் திராட்சச்செடி விதைமுதல் தோல்வரையிலுள்ளவைகளினால் செய்யப்பட்ட யாதொன்றையும் புசியாமலும் இருக்கக்கடவன்.

4. As long as he remains a [nazir] he is to eat nothing derived from the grapevine, not even the grape-skins or the seeds.

5. அவன் நசரேய விரதங்காக்கும் நாளெல்லாம் சவரகன் கத்தி அவன் தலையின்மேல் படலாகாது; அவன் கர்த்தருக்கென்று விரதங்காக்கும் காலம் நிறைவேறுமளவும் பரிசுத்தமாயிருந்து, தன் தலைமயிரை வளரவிடக்கடவன்.

5. ''Throughout the period of his vow as a [nazir], he is not to shave his head. Until the end of the time for which he has consecrated himself to ADONAI he is to be holy: he is to let the hair on his head grow long.

6. அவன் கர்த்தருக்கென்று விரதங்காக்கும் நாளெல்லாம் யாதொரு பிரேதத்தண்டையில் போகக்கூடாது.

6. ''Throughout the period for which he has consecrated himself to ADONAI, he is not to approach a corpse.

7. அவன் தன் தேவனுக்கென்று செய்த நசரேய விரதம் அவன் தலைமேல் இருக்கிறபடியால், மரணமடைந்த தன் தகப்பனாலாகிலும் தாயினாலாகிலும் சகோதரனாலாகிலும் சகோதரியினாலாகிலும் தன்னைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தலாகாது.

7. He is not to make himself unclean for his father, mother, brother or sister when they die, since his consecration to God is on his head.

8. அவன் நசரேயனாயிருக்கும் நாளெல்லாம் கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தமாயிருப்பான்.

8. Throughout the time of his being a [nazir] he is holy for ADONAI.

9. அவனண்டையிலே ஒருவன் சடுதியில் மரணமடைந்ததினால், நசரேய விரதமுள்ள அவனுடைய தலை தீட்டுப்பட்டதேயாகில், அவன் தன் சுத்திகரிப்பின் நாளாகிய ஏழாம் நாளில் தன் தலைமயிரைச் சிரைத்துக்கொண்டு,

9. ''If someone next to him dies very suddenly, so that he defiles his consecrated head, then he is to shave his head on the day of his purification; he is to shave it on the seventh day.

10. எட்டாம் நாளில் இரண்டு காட்டுப்புறாக்களையாவது இரண்டு புறாக்குஞ்சுகளையாவது ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலில் ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவரக்கடவன்.

10. On the eighth day he is to bring two doves or two young pigeons to the [cohen] at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

11. அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியன் ஒன்றைப்பாவநிவாரணபலியாகவும், மற்றொன்றைச் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாகவும் செலுத்தி, பிணத்தினால் அவனுக்கு உண்டான தீட்டை நிவிர்த்திசெய்து, அவன் தலையை அந்நாளில் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்துவானாக.

11. The [cohen] is to prepare one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering and thus make atonement for him, inasmuch as he sinned because of the dead person. That same day he is to re-consecrate his head;

12. அவன் திரும்பவும் தன் விரதநாட்களைக் கர்த்தருக்கென்று காத்து, ஒரு வருஷத்து ஆட்டுக்குட்டியைக் குற்றநிவாரணபலியாகக் கொண்டுவரக்கடவன்; அவனுடைய நசரேய விரதம் தீட்டுப்பட்டதினால் சென்ற நாட்கள் விருதாவாகும்.

12. he is to consecrate to ADONAI the full period of his being a [nazir] by bringing a male lamb in its first year as a guilt offering. The previous days will not be counted, because his consecration became defiled.

13. ''This is the law for the [nazir] when his period of consecration is over: he is to be brought to the entrance of the tent of meeting,

14. சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாக ஒருவருஷத்து பழுதற்ற ஒரு ஆட்டுக்குட்டியையும், பாவநிவாரணபலியாக ஒருவருஷத்து பழுதற்ற ஒரு பெண்ணாட்டுக்குட்டியையும், சமாதானபலியாக பழுதற்ற ஒரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும்,

14. where he will present his offering to ADONAI- one male lamb in its first year without defect as a burnt offering, one female lamb in its first year without defect as a sin offering, one ram without defect as peace offerings,

15. ஒரு கூடையில் எண்ணெயிலே பிசைந்த புளிப்பில்லாத மெல்லிய மாவினால் செய்த அதிரசங்களையும், எண்ணெய் தடவப்பட்ட புளிப்பில்லாத அடைகளையும், அவைகளுக்கு அடுத்த போஜனபலியையும், பானபலிகளையும் கர்த்தருக்குத் தன் காணிக்கையாகச் செலுத்தக்கடவன்.

15. a basket of [matzah], loaves made of fine flour mixed with olive oil, unleavened wafers spread with olive oil, their grain offering and their drink offerings.

16. அவைகளை ஆசாரியன் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் கொண்டுவந்து, அவனுடைய பாவநிவாரணபலியையும் அவனுடைய சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும் செலுத்தி,

16. The [cohen] is to bring them before ADONAI, offer his sin offering, his burnt offering,

17. ஆட்டுக்கடாவைக் கூடையிலிருக்கும் புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பங்களோடுங்கூடக் கர்த்தருக்குச் சமாதான பலியாகச் செலுத்தி, அவனுடைய போஜனபலியையும் பானபலியையும் படைப்பானாக.

17. and his ram as a sacrifice of peace offerings to ADONAI, with the basket of [matzah]. The [cohen] will also offer the grain offering and drink offering that go with the peace offering.

18. அப்பொழுது நசரேயன் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலிலே, பொருத்தனை செய்யப்பட்ட தன் தலையைச் சிரைத்து, பொருத்தனை செய்யப்பட்ட தன் தலைமயிரை எடுத்து, சமாதானபலியின்கீழ் எரிகிற அக்கினியில் போடக்கடவன்.

18. The [nazir] will shave his consecrated head at the entrance to the tent of meeting, take the hair removed from his consecrated head and put it on the fire under the sacrifice of peace offerings.

19. நசரேயன் பொருத்தனை செய்யப்பட்ட தன் தலைமயிரைச் சிரைத்துக்கொண்டபின்பு, ஆசாரியன் ஆட்டுக்கடாவினுடைய வேவிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு முன்னந்தொடையையும், கூடையில் இருக்கிறவைகளிலே புளிப்பில்லாத ஒரு அதிரசத்தையும் புளிப்பில்லாத ஒரு அடையையும் எடுத்து, அவனுடைய உள்ளங்கைகளில் வைத்து,

19. When the ram has been boiled, the [cohen] is to take its shoulder, one loaf of [matzah] from the basket and one unleavened wafer, and place them in the hands of the [nazir], after he has shaved his consecrated head.

20. அவைகளைக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அசைவாட்டக்கடவன்; அது அசைவாட்டப்பட்ட மார்க்கண்டத்தோடும், ஏறெடுத்துப் படைக்கப்பட்ட முன்னந்தொடையோடும், ஆசாரியனைச் சேரும்; அது பரிசுத்தமானது. பின்பு நசரேயன் திராட்சரசம் குடிக்கலாம்.

20. The [cohen] is to wave them as a wave offering before ADONAI; this is set aside for the [cohen], along with the breast for waving and the raised-up thigh. Following that, the [nazir] may drink wine.

21. பொருத்தனைபண்ணின நசரேயனுக்கும், அவன் தன் கைக்கு உதவுகிறதையல்லாமல், தன் நசரேய விரதத்தினிமித்தம் கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தும் காணிக்கைக்கும் அடுத்த பிரமாணம் இதுவே. அவன் செய்த பொருத்தனையின்படியே தன் பொருத்தனையின் பிரமாணத்துக்கேற்க செய்து தீரவேண்டும் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

21. ''This is the law for the [nazir] who makes a vow and for his offering to ADONAI for his being a [nazir-] in addition to anything more for which he has sufficient means. In keeping with whatever vow he makes, he must do it according to the law for the [nazir.]''

22. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

22. ADONAI said to Moshe,

23. நீ ஆரோனோடும் அவன் குமாரரோடும் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: நீங்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை ஆசீர்வதிக்கும்போது, அவர்களைப் பார்த்துச் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது:

23. 'Speak to Aharon and his sons, and tell them that this is how you are to bless the people of Isra'el: you are to say to them,

24. கர்த்தர் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து, உன்னைக் காக்கக்கடவர்.

24. '[Y'varekh'kha ADONAI v'yishmerekha.] [[May ADONAI bless you and keep you.]]

25. கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய முகத்தை உன்மேல் பிரகாசிக்கப்பண்ணி, உன்மேல் கிருபையாயிருக்கக்கடவர்.

25. [Ya'er ADONAI panav eleikha vichunekka.] [[May ADONAI make his face shine on you and show you his favor.]]

26. கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய முகத்தை உன்மேல் பிரசன்னமாக்கி, உனக்குச் சமாதானம் கட்டளையிடக்கடவர் என்பதே.

26. [Yissa ADONAI panav eleikha v'yasem l'kha shalom.] [[May ADONAI lift up his face toward you and give you peace.]]'

27. இவ்விதமாய் அவர்கள் என் நாமத்தை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர்மேல் கூறக்கடவர்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிப்பேன் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

27. 'In this way they are to put my name on the people of Isra'el, so that I will bless them.' [(A: v, S: iv)]
