1. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீ பார்வோனிடத்தில் போய்: எனக்கு ஆராதனைசெய்ய என் ஜனங்களை அனுப்பிவிடு.

1. And the LORD spoke to Moses, 'Go to Pharaoh and say to him, 'Thus says the LORD: 'Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

2. நீ அவர்களை அனுப்பிவிடமாட்டேன் என்பாயாகில், உன் எல்லை அடங்கலையும் தவளைகளால் வாதிப்பேன்.

2. 'But if you refuse to let [them] go, behold, I will smite all your territory with frogs.

3. நதி தவளைகளைத் திரளாய்ப் பிறப்பிக்கும்; அவைகள் உன் வீட்டிலும் உன் படுக்கை அறையிலும், உன் மஞ்சத்தின் மேலும், உன் ஊழியக்காரர் வீடுகளிலும், உன் ஜனங்களிடத்திலும், உன் அடுப்புகளிலும், மாப்பிசைகிற உன் தொட்டிகளிலும் வந்து ஏறும்.

3. 'So the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into your house, into your bedroom, on your bed, into the houses of your servants, on your people, into your ovens, and into your kneading bowls.

4. அந்தத் தவளைகள் உன்மேலும், உன் ஜனங்கள்மேலும், உன் ஊழியக்காரர் எல்லார்மேலும் வந்து ஏறும் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

4. 'And the frogs shall come up on you, on your people, and on all your servants.' ' '

5. மேலும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயினிடத்தில் நீ ஆரோனை நோக்கி: நீ உன் கையில் இருக்கிற கோலை நதிகள்மேலும், வாய்க்கால்கள்மேலும், குளங்கள்மேலும் நீட்டி, எகிப்துதேசத்தின்மேல் தவளைகளை வரும்படி செய் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

5. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, 'Say to Aaron, 'Stretch out your hand with your rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt.' '

6. அப்படியே ஆரோன் தன் கையை எகிப்திலுள்ள தண்ணீர்கள்மேல் நீட்டினான்; அப்பொழுது தவளைகள் வந்து, எகிப்து தேசத்தை மூடிக்கொண்டது.

6. So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt.

7. மந்திரவாதிகளும் தங்கள் மந்திரவித்தையினால் அப்படிச் செய்து, எகிப்து தேசத்தின்மேல் தவளைகளை வரப்பண்ணினார்கள்.

7. And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt.

8. பார்வோன் மோசேயையும் ஆரோனையும் அழைப்பித்து: அந்தத் தவளைகள் என்னையும் என் ஜனங்களையும் விட்டு நீங்கும்படி கர்த்தரை நோக்கி வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிடும்படி ஜனங்களைப் போகவிடுவேன் என்றான்.

8. Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, 'Entreat the LORD that He may take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice to the LORD.'

9. அப்பொழுது மோசே பார்வோனை நோக்கி: தவளைகள் நதியிலே மாத்திரம் இருக்கத்தக்கதாய் அவைகளை உம்மிடத்திலும் உம்முடைய வீட்டிலும் இல்லாமல் ஒழிந்துபோகும்படி செய்ய, உமக்காகவும் உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரருக்காகவும் உம்முடைய ஜனங்களுக்காகவும் நான் விண்ணப்பம் பண்ணவேண்டிய காலத்தைக் குறிக்கும் மேன்மை உமக்கே இருப்பதாக என்றான்.

9. And Moses said to Pharaoh, 'Accept the honor of saying when I shall intercede for you, for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your houses, [that] they may remain in the river only.'

10. அதற்கு அவன்: நாளைக்கு என்றான். அப்பொழுது இவன்: எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு ஒப்பானவர் இல்லை என்பதை நீர் அறியும்படிக்கு உம்முடைய வார்த்தையின்படி ஆகக்கடவது.

10. So he said, 'Tomorrow.' And he said, '[Let it be] according to your word, that you may know that [there is] no one like the LORD our God.

11. தவளைகள் உம்மையும், உம்முடைய வீட்டையும், உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரையும், உம்முடைய ஜனங்களையும் விட்டு நீங்கி, நதியிலே மாத்திரம் இருக்கும் என்றான்.

11. 'And the frogs shall depart from you, from your houses, from your servants, and from your people. They shall remain in the river only.'

12. மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் பார்வோனை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டார்கள். பார்வோனுக்கு விரோதமாக வரப்பண்ணின தவளைகள் நிமித்தம் மோசே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டான்.

12. Then Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh. And Moses cried out to the LORD concerning the frogs which He had brought against Pharaoh.

13. கர்த்தர் மோசேயின் சொற்படி செய்தார்; வீடுகளிலும் முற்றங்களிலும் வயல்களிலும் இருந்த தவளைகள் செத்துப்போயிற்று.

13. So the LORD did according to the word of Moses. And the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courtyards, and out of the fields.

14. அவைகளைக் குவியல் குவியலாகச் சேர்த்தார்கள்; அதினால் பூமியெங்கும் நாற்றம் எடுத்தது.

14. They gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank.

15. இலகுவுண்டாயிற்றென்று பார்வோன் கண்டபோதோ, தன் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தி, அவர்களுக்குச் செவிகொடாமற்போனான்; கர்த்தர் சொல்லியிருந்தபடி ஆயிற்று.

15. But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not heed them, as the LORD had said.

16. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயினிடத்தில்: நீ ஆரோனை நோக்கி: உன் கோலை நீட்டி, பூமியின் புழுதியின்மேல் அடி; அப்பொழுது அது எகிப்து தேசம் எங்கும் பேன்களாய்ப்போம் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

16. So the LORD said to Moses, 'Say to Aaron, 'Stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the land, so that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.' '

17. அப்படியே செய்தார்கள்; ஆரோன் தன் கையில் இருந்த தன் கோலை நீட்டி, பூமியின் புழுதியின்மேல் அடித்தான்; அப்பொழுது அது மனிதர்மேலும் மிருகஜீவன்கள்மேலும் பேன்களாய் எகிப்து தேசம் எங்கும் பூமியின் புழுதியெல்லாம் பேன்களாயிற்று.

17. And they did so. For Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod and struck the dust of the earth, and it became lice on man and beast. All the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

18. மந்திரவாதிகளும் தங்கள் மந்திரவித்தையினால் பேன்களைப் பிறப்பிக்கும்படிப் பிரயத்தனஞ்செய்தார்கள்; செய்தும், அவர்களால் கூடாமற்போயிற்று; பேன்கள் மனிதர்மேலும் மிருகஜீவன்கள்மேலும் இருந்தது.

18. Now the magicians so worked with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not. So there were lice on man and beast.

19. அப்பொழுது மந்திரவாதிகள் பார்வோனை நோக்கி: இது தேவனுடைய விரல் என்றார்கள். ஆனாலும், கர்த்தர் சொல்லிருந்தபடி பார்வோனுடைய இருதயம் கடினப்பட்டது; அவர்களுக்குச் செவிகொடாமற்போனான்.

19. Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, 'This [is] the finger of God.' But Pharaoh's heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, just as the LORD had said.

20. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நாளை அதிகாலமே நீ எழுந்து போய், பார்வோன் நதிக்குப் புறப்பட்டு வரும்போது, அவனுக்கு முன்பாக நின்று: எனக்கு ஆராதனை செய்யும்படி என் ஜனங்களைப் போகவிடு.

20. And the LORD said to Moses, 'Rise early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh as he comes out to the water. Then say to him, 'Thus says the LORD: 'Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

21. என் ஜனங்களைப் போகவிடாயாகில், நான் உன்மேலும், உன் ஊழியக்காரர்மேலும், உன் ஜனங்கள்மேலும், உன் வீடுகள்மேலும் பலவித வண்டுகளை அனுப்புவேன்; எகிப்தியர் வீடுகளும் அவர்கள் இருக்கிற தேசமும் அந்த வண்டுகளால் நிறையும்.

21. 'Or else, if you will not let My people go, behold, I will send swarms [of flies] on you and your servants, on your people and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms [of flies,] and also the ground on which they [stand.]

22. பூமியின் நடுவில் நானே கர்த்தர் என்பதை நீ அறியும்படி என் ஜனங்கள் இருக்கிற கோசேன் நாட்டில் அந்நாளிலே வண்டுகள் வராதபடிக்கு, அந்த நாட்டை விசேஷப்படுத்தி,

22. 'And in that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms [of flies] shall be there, in order that you may know that I [am] the LORD in the midst of the land.

23. என் ஜனங்களுக்கும் உன் ஜனங்களுக்கும் வித்தியாசம் உண்டாகும்படி செய்வேன்; இந்த அடையாளம் நாளைக்கு உண்டாகும் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

23. 'I will make a difference between My people and your people. Tomorrow this sign shall be.' ' '

24. அப்படியே கர்த்தர் செய்தார்; மகா திரளான வண்டுஜாதிகள் பார்வோன் வீட்டிலும், அவன் ஊழியக்காரர் வீடுகளிலும், எகிப்து தேசம் முழுவதிலும் வந்தது; வண்டுகளினாலே தேசம் கெட்டுப்போயிற்று.

24. And the LORD did so. Thick swarms [of flies] came into the house of Pharaoh, [into] his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt. The land was corrupted because of the swarms [of flies.]

25. அப்பொழுது பார்வோன் மோசேயையும் ஆரோனையும் அழைப்பித்து: நீங்கள் போய், உங்கள் தேவனுக்கு தேசத்திலேதானே பலியிடுங்கள் என்றான்.

25. Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, 'Go, sacrifice to your God in the land.'

26. அதற்கு மோசே: அப்படிச் செய்யத்தகாது; எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு நாங்கள் எகிப்தியருடைய அருவருப்பைப் பலியிடுகிறதாயிருக்குமே, எகிப்தியருடைய அருவருப்பை நாங்கள் அவர்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகப் பலியிட்டால், எங்களைக் கல்லெறிவார்கள் அல்லவா?

26. And Moses said, 'It is not right to do so, for we would be sacrificing the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God. If we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, then will they not stone us?

27. நாங்கள் வனாந்தரத்தில் மூன்று நாள் பிரயாணம்போய், எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்கு விதிக்கிறபடியே அவருக்குப் பலியிடுவோம் என்றான்.

27. 'We will go three days' journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the LORD our God as He will command us.'

28. அப்பொழுது பார்வோன்: நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு வனாந்தரத்தில் பலியிடும்படிக்கு, நான் உங்களைப் போகவிடுவேன்; ஆனாலும், நீங்கள் அதிக தூரமாய்ப் போகவேண்டாம்; எனக்காக வேண்டுதல் செய்யுங்கள் என்றான்.

28. And Pharaoh said, 'I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away. Intercede for me.'

29. அதற்கு மோசே: நான் உம்மைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டபின், நாளைக்கு வண்டுகள் பார்வோனையும் அவர் ஊழியக்காரரையும் அவர் ஜனங்களையும் விட்டு நீங்கும்படி, நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி வேண்டுதல் செய்வேன்; ஆனாலும், கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிடுகிறதற்கு ஜனங்களைப் போகவிடாதபடிப் பார்வோன் இனி வஞ்சனை செய்யாதிருப்பாராக என்றான்.

29. Then Moses said, 'Indeed I am going out from you, and I will entreat the LORD, that the swarms [of flies] may depart tomorrow from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people. But let Pharaoh not deal deceitfully anymore in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.'

30. மோசே பார்வோனை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், கர்த்தரை நோக்கி வேண்டுதல் செய்தான்.

30. So Moses went out from Pharaoh and entreated the LORD.

31. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயின் சொற்படி, வண்டுஜாதிகள் பார்வோனையும் அவன் ஊழியக்காரரையும் அவன் ஜனங்களையும் விட்டு நீங்கும்படி செய்தார்; ஒன்றாகிலும் மீந்திருக்கவில்லை.

31. And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; He removed the swarms [of flies] from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people. Not one remained.

32. பார்வோனோ, இந்த முறையும் தன் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தி, ஜனங்களைப் போகவிடாதிருந்தான்.

32. But Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also; neither would he let the people go.
