7. கர்த்தருடைய வேதம் குறைவற்றதும், ஆத்துமாவை உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது; கர்த்தருடைய சாட்சி முழுமையானதும், பேதையை ஞானியாக்குகிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது.

8. கர்த்தருடைய நியாயங்கள் செம்மையும், இருதயத்தைச் சந்தோஷிப்பிக்கிறவையுமாய் இருக்கிறது; கர்த்தருடைய கற்பனை தூய்மையும், கண்களைத் தெளிவிக்கிறதுமாய் இருக்கிறது.

8. The lawe of the Lord is with out wem, and conuertith soulis; the witnessyng of the Lord is feithful, and yyueth wisdom to litle children.

9. கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிற பயம் சுத்தமும், என்றைக்கும் நிலைக்கிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது; கர்த்தருடைய நியாயங்கள் உண்மையும், அவைகள் அனைத்தும் நீதியுமாய் இருக்கின்றன.

9. The riytfulnessis of the Lord ben riytful, gladdynge hertis; the comaundement of the Lord is cleere, liytnynge iyen.

11. அன்றியும் அவைகளால் உமது அடியேன் எச்சரிக்கப்படுகிறேன்; அவைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறதினால் மிகுந்த பலன் உண்டு.

11. Desirable more than gold, and a stoon myche preciouse; and swettere than hony and honycoomb.

12. தன் பிழைகளை உணருகிறவன் யார்? மறைந்து கிடக்கும் பிழைகளிலிருந்து என்னைச் சுத்திகரியும்.

12. `Forwhi thi seruaunt kepith thoo; myche yeldyng is in tho to be kept.

13. துணிகரமான பாவங்களுக்கும் உமது அடியேனை விலக்கிக்காரும்; அவைகள் என்னை ஆண்டுகொள்ள ஒட்டாதிரும்; அப்பொழுது நான் உத்தமனாகி, பெரும்பாதகத்துக்கு நீங்கலாயிருப்பேன்.

14. and of alien synnes spare thi seruaunt. `If the forseid defautis ben not, Lord, of me, than Y schal be with out wem; and Y schal be clensid of the mooste synne.
