1. கர்த்தாவே, பொல்லாத மனுஷனுக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவியும்; கொடுமையுள்ளவனுக்கு என்னை விலக்கி இரட்சியும்.

2. அவர்கள் தங்கள் இருதயத்தில் பொல்லாப்புகளைச் சிந்தித்து, யுத்தஞ்செய்ய நாள்தோறும் கூட்டங்கூடுகிறார்கள்.

2. Who devise mischiefs in their heart; Continually they gather themselves together for war.

4. கர்த்தாவே, துன்மார்க்கனுடைய கைகளுக்கு என்னை நீங்கலாக்கி கொடியவனுக்கு என்னை விலக்கி இரட்சியும்; அவர்கள் என் நடைகளைக் கவிழ்க்கப்பார்க்கிறார்கள்.

4. Keep me, O Yahweh, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from the violent man: Who have purposed to thrust aside my steps.

5. The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set traps for me. Selah.

6. நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: நீர் என் தேவன் என்றேன்; கர்த்தாவே, என் விண்ணப்பங்களின் சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடும்.

6. I said to Yahweh, You are my God: Give ear to the voice of my supplications, O Yahweh.

7. ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தாவே, என் இரட்சிப்பின் பெலனே, யுத்தநாளில் என் தலையை மூடினீர்.

7. O Yahweh the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle.

8. கர்த்தாவே, துன்மார்க்கனுடைய ஆசைகள் சித்தியாதபடிசெய்யும்; அவன் தன்னை உயர்த்தாதபடி அவனுடைய யோசனையை நடந்தேறவொட்டாதேயும். (சேலா)

8. Don't grant, O Yahweh, the desires of the wicked; Don't further his evil plot. They will exalt themselves. Selah.

9. என்னை வளைந்துகொள்ளுகிறவர்களுடைய உதடுகளின் தீவினைகள் அவர்கள் தலைகளையே மூடுவதாக.

9. As for the head of those who speak lies about me Let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

10. நெருப்புத்தழல் அவர்கள்மேல் விழுவதாக; அக்கினியிலும், அவர்கள் எழுந்திருக்கக்கூடாத படுகுழிகளிலும் தள்ளப்படுவார்களாக.

10. Let burning coals fall on them: Let them be cast into the fire, Into deep pits, from where they will not rise.

11. பொல்லாத நாவுள்ளவன் பூமியிலே நிலைப்பதில்லை; கொடுமையான மனுஷனை பறக்கடிக்கப் பொல்லாப்பு அவனை வேட்டையாடும்.

11. An evil speaker will not be established in the earth: Evil will hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

12. சிறுமையானவனின் வழக்கையும், எளியவர்களின் நியாயத்தையும் கர்த்தர் விசாரிப்பாரென்று அறிவேன்.

12. I know that Yahweh will maintain the cause of the afflicted, And justice for the needy.

13. நீதிமான்கள் உமது நாமத்தைத் துதிப்பார்கள்; செம்மையானவர்கள் உமது சமுகத்தில் வாசம் பண்ணுவார்கள்.

13. Surely the righteous will give thanks to your name: The upright will dwell in your presence.
