1. அல்லேலூயா, கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் நல்லவர், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

1. Praise ye Jah, give thanks to Jehovah, For good, for to the age, [is] His kindness.

2. கர்த்தருடைய வல்லமையான செய்கைகளைச் சொல்லி, அவருடைய துதியையெல்லாம் பிரஸ்தாபப்படுத்தத்தக்கவன் யார்?

2. Who doth utter the mighty acts of Jehovah? Soundeth all His praise?

3. நியாயத்தைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களும், எக்காலத்திலும் நீதியைச் செய்கிறவர்களும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

3. O the happiness of those keeping judgment, Doing righteousness at all times.

4. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் தெரிந்துகொண்டவர்களின் நன்மையை நான் கண்டு, உம்முடைய ஜாதியின் மகிழ்ச்சியால் மகிழ்ந்து, உம்முடைய சுதந்தரத்தோடே மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படிக்கு,

4. Remember me, O Jehovah, With the favour of Thy people, Look after me in Thy salvation.

5. உம்முடைய ஜனங்களுக்கு நீர் பாராட்டும் கிருபையின்படி என்னை நினைத்து, உம்முடைய இரட்சிப்பினால் என்னைச் சந்தித்தருளும்.

5. To look on the good of Thy chosen ones, To rejoice in the joy of Thy nation, To boast myself with Thine inheritance.

6. எங்கள் பிதாக்களோடுங்கூட நாங்களும் பாவஞ்செய்து, அக்கிரமம் நடப்பித்து, ஆகாமியம் பண்ணினோம்.

6. We have sinned with our fathers, We have done perversely, we have done wickedly.

7. எங்கள் பிதாக்கள் எகிப்திலே உம்முடைய அதிசயங்களை உணராமலும், உம்முடைய கிருபைகளின் திரட்சியை நினையாமலும் போய், சிவந்த சமுத்திர ஓரத்திலே கலகம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

7. Our fathers in Egypt, Have not considered wisely Thy wonders, They have not remembered The abundance of Thy kind acts, And provoke by the sea, at the sea of Suph.

8. ஆனாலும் அவர் தமது வல்லமையை வெளிப்படுத்தும்படி, தம்முடைய நாமத்தினிமித்தம் அவர்களை இரட்சித்தார்.

8. And He saveth them for His name's sake, To make known His might,

9. அவர் சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தை அதட்டினார், அது வற்றிப்போயிற்று; வெட்டாந்தரையில் நடக்கிறதுபோல அவர்களை ஆழங்களில் நடந்துபோகப்பண்ணினார்.

9. And rebuketh the sea of Suph, and it is dried up, And causeth them to go Through depths as a wilderness.

10. பகைஞன் கைக்கு அவர்களை விலக்கி இரட்சித்து, சத்துருவின் கைக்கு அவர்களை விலக்கி மீட்டார்.

10. And He saveth them from the hand Of him who is hating, And redeemeth them from the hand of the enemy.

11. அவர்கள் சத்துருக்களைத் தண்ணீர்கள் மூடிக்கொண்டது; அவர்களில் ஒருவனும் மீந்திருக்கவில்லை.

11. And waters cover their adversaries, One of them hath not been left.

12. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை விசுவாசித்து, அவருடைய துதியைப் பாடினார்கள்.

12. And they believe in His words, they sing His praise,

13. ஆனாலும் சீக்கிரமாய் அவருடைய கிரியைகளை மறந்தார்கள்; அவருடைய ஆலோசனைக்கு அவர்கள் காத்திராமல்,

13. They have hasted -- forgotten His works, They have not waited for His counsel.

14. வனாந்தரத்திலே இச்சையுள்ளவர்களாகி, அவாந்தரவெளியிலே தேவனைப் பரீட்சைபார்த்தார்கள்.

14. And they lust greatly in a wilderness, And try God in a desert.

15. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் கேட்டதை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார், அவர்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களிலோ இளைப்பை அனுப்பினார்.

15. And He giveth to them their request, And sendeth leanness into their soul.

16. பாளயத்தில் அவர்கள் மோசேயின்மேலும், கர்த்தருடைய பரிசுத்தனாகிய ஆரோனின்மேலும் பொறாமைகொண்டார்கள்.

16. And they are envious of Moses in the camp, Of Aaron, Jehovah's holy one.

17. பூமி பிளந்து தாத்தானை விழுங்கி, அபிராமின் கூட்டத்தை மூடிப்போட்டது.

17. Earth openeth, and swalloweth up Dathan, And covereth over the company of Abiram.

18. அவர்கள் கூட்டத்தில் அக்கினி பற்றியெரிந்தது; அக்கினி ஜூவாலை துன்மார்க்கரை எரித்துப்போட்டது.

18. And fire burneth among their company, A flame setteth on fire the wicked.

19. அவர்கள் ஓரேபிலே ஒரு கன்றுக்குட்டியையுண்டாக்கி, வார்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட விக்கிரகத்தை நமஸ்கரித்தார்கள்.

19. They make a calf in Horeb, And bow themselves to a molten image,

20. தங்கள் மகிமையைப் புல்லைத் தின்கிற மாட்டின் சாயலாக மாற்றினார்கள்.

20. And change their Honour Into the form of an ox eating herbs.

21. எகிப்திலே பெரிய கிரியைகளையும், காமின் தேசத்திலே அதிசயங்களையும், சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தண்டையிலே பயங்கரமானவைகளையும் செய்தவராகிய,

21. They have forgotten God their saviour, The doer of great things in Egypt,

22. தங்கள் இரட்சகரான தேவனை மறந்தார்கள்.

22. Of wonderful things in the land of Ham, Of fearful things by the sea of Suph.

23. ஆகையால், அவர்களை நாசம்பண்ணுவேன் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது அவரால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட மோசே, அவர்களை அவர் அழிக்காதபடிக்கு, அவருடைய உக்கிரத்தை ஆற்றும்பொருட்டு, அவருக்கு முன்பாகத் திறப்பின் வாயிலே நின்றான்.

23. And He saith to destroy them, Unless Moses, His chosen one, Had stood in the breach before Him, To turn back His wrath from destroying.

24. அவருடைய வார்த்தையை விசுவாசியாமல், இச்சிக்கப்படத்தக்க தேசத்தை அசட்டைபண்ணினார்கள்.

24. And they kick against the desirable land, They have not given credence to His word.

25. கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்திற்குச் செவிகொடாமல், தங்கள் கூடாரங்களில் முறுமுறுத்தார்கள்.

25. And they murmur in their tents, They have not hearkened to the voice of Jehovah.

26. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் வனாந்தரத்திலே மடியவும், அவர்கள் சந்ததி ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே அழியவும்,

26. And He lifteth up His hand to them, To cause them to fall in a wilderness,

27. அவர்கள் பற்பல தேசங்களிலே சிதறடிக்கப்படவும், அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தம்முடைய கையை எடுத்தார்.

27. And to cause their seed to fall among nations, And to scatter them through lands.

28. அவர்கள் பாகால்பேயோரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு, ஜீவனில்லாதவைகளுக்கு இட்ட பலிகளைப் புசித்து,

28. And they are coupled to Baal-Peor, And eat the sacrifices of the dead,

29. தங்கள் கிரியைகளினால் அவருக்குக் கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்; ஆகையால் வாதை அவர்களுக்குள் புகுந்தது.

29. And they provoke to anger by their actions, And a plague breaketh forth upon them,

30. அப்பொழுது பினெகாஸ் எழுந்து நின்று நியாயஞ்செய்தான்; அதினால் வாதை நிறுத்தப்பட்டது.

30. And Phinehas standeth, and executeth judgment, And the plague is restrained,

31. அது தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக என்றைக்கும் அவனுக்கு நீதியாக எண்ணப்பட்டது.

31. And it is reckoned to him to righteousness, To all generations -- unto the age.

32. மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீர்களிடத்திலும் அவருக்குக் கடுங்கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்; அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் மோசேக்கும் பொல்லாப்பு வந்தது.

32. And they cause wrath by the waters of Meribah, And it is evil to Moses for their sakes,

33. அவர்கள் அவன் ஆவியை விசனப்படுத்தினதினாலே, தன் உதடுகளினால் பதறிப்பேசினான்.

33. For they have provoked his spirit, And he speaketh wrongfully with his lips.

34. கர்த்தர் தங்களுக்குச் சொன்னபடி, அவர்கள் அந்த ஜனங்களை அழிக்கவில்லை.

34. They have not destroyed the peoples, As Jehovah had said to them,

35. ஜாதிகளுடனே கலந்து, அவர்கள் கிரியைகளைக் கற்று;

35. And mix themselves among nations, and learn their works,

36. அவர்களுடைய விக்கிரகங்களைச் சேவித்தார்கள்; அவைகள் அவர்களுக்குக் கண்ணியாயிற்று.

36. And serve their idols, And they are to them for a snare.

37. அவர்கள் தங்கள் குமாரரையும் தங்கள் குமாரத்திகளையும் பிசாசுகளுக்குப் பலியிட்டார்கள்.
1 கொரிந்தியர் 10:20

37. And they sacrifice their sons And their daughters to destroyers,

38. அவர்கள் கானான் தேசத்து விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் பலியிட்டு, தங்கள் குமாரர் குமாரத்திகளுடைய குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தினார்கள்; தேசம் இரத்தத்தால் தீட்டுப்பட்டது.

38. And they shed innocent blood -- Blood of their sons and of their daughters, Whom they have sacrificed to idols of Canaan, And the land is profaned with blood.

39. அவர்கள் தங்கள் கிரியைகளினால் அசுத்தமாகி, தங்கள் செய்கைகளினால் சோரம்போனார்கள்.

39. And they are defiled with their works, And commit whoredom in their habitual doings.

40. அதினால் கர்த்தருடைய கோபம் தமது ஜனத்தின்மேல் மூண்டது; அவர் தமது சுதந்தரத்தை அருவருத்தார்.

40. And the anger of Jehovah Is kindled against His people, And He doth abominate His inheritance.

41. அவர்களை ஜாதிகளுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்களுடைய பகைஞர் அவர்களை ஆண்டார்கள்.

41. And giveth them into the hand of nations, And those hating them rule over them,

42. அவர்களுடைய சத்துருக்கள் அவர்களை ஒடுக்கினார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய கையின்கீழ்த் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டார்கள்.

42. And their enemies oppress them, And they are humbled under their hand.

43. அநேகந்தரம் அவர்களை விடுவித்தார்; அவர்களோ தங்கள் யோசனையினால் அவருக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணி, தங்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தினால் சிறுமைப்படுத்தப்பட்டார்கள்.

43. Many times He doth deliver them, And they rebel in their counsel, And they are brought low in their iniquity.

44. அவர்கள் கூப்பிடுதலை அவர் கேட்கும்போதோ, அவர்களுக்கு உண்டான இடுக்கத்தை அவர் கண்ணோக்கி,

44. And He looketh on their distress When He heareth their cry,

45. அவர்களுக்காகத் தமது உடன்படிக்கையை நினைத்து, தமது மிகுந்த கிருபையின்படி மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டு,

45. And remembereth for them His covenant, And is comforted, According to the abundance of His kindness.

46. அவர்களைச் சிறைபிடித்த யாவரும் அவர்களுக்கு இரங்கும்படி செய்தார்.

46. And He appointeth them for mercies Before all their captors.

47. எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, நாங்கள் உமது பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைப் போற்றி, உம்மைத் துதிக்கிறதில் மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படி எங்களை இரட்சித்து, எங்களை ஜாதிகளிலிருந்து சேர்த்தருளும்.

47. Save us, O Jehovah our God, and gather us from the nations, To give thanks to Thy holy name, To glory in Thy praise.

48. இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அநாதியாய் என்றென்றைக்கும் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படத்தக்கவர். ஜனங்களெல்லாரும்: ஆமென், அல்லேலூயா, என்பார்களாக.

48. Blessed [is] Jehovah, God of Israel, From the age even unto the age. And all the people said, 'Amen, praise Jah!'
