1. அல்லேலூயா, கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் நல்லவர், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

1. Praise the everlasting. (Halleluya) O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is gracious, and his mercy endureth for ever.

2. கர்த்தருடைய வல்லமையான செய்கைகளைச் சொல்லி, அவருடைய துதியையெல்லாம் பிரஸ்தாபப்படுத்தத்தக்கவன் யார்?

2. Who can express the noble acts of the LORD, or shew forth all his praise?

3. நியாயத்தைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களும், எக்காலத்திலும் நீதியைச் செய்கிறவர்களும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

3. Blessed are they that alway keep judgment, and do righteousness.

4. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் தெரிந்துகொண்டவர்களின் நன்மையை நான் கண்டு, உம்முடைய ஜாதியின் மகிழ்ச்சியால் மகிழ்ந்து, உம்முடைய சுதந்தரத்தோடே மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படிக்கு,

4. Remember us, O LORD, according to the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit us with thy saving health.

5. உம்முடைய ஜனங்களுக்கு நீர் பாராட்டும் கிருபையின்படி என்னை நினைத்து, உம்முடைய இரட்சிப்பினால் என்னைச் சந்தித்தருளும்.

5. That we might see the pleasure of thy chosen, that we might rejoice in the gladness of thy people, and give thanks with thine inheritance.

6. எங்கள் பிதாக்களோடுங்கூட நாங்களும் பாவஞ்செய்து, அக்கிரமம் நடப்பித்து, ஆகாமியம் பண்ணினோம்.

6. We have sinned with our fathers, we have done amiss, we have dealt wickedly.

7. எங்கள் பிதாக்கள் எகிப்திலே உம்முடைய அதிசயங்களை உணராமலும், உம்முடைய கிருபைகளின் திரட்சியை நினையாமலும் போய், சிவந்த சமுத்திர ஓரத்திலே கலகம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

7. Our fathers regarded not thy wonders in Egypt, they kept not thy great goodness in remembrance: but were disobedient at the sea,(see) even at the reed sea.(see)

8. ஆனாலும் அவர் தமது வல்லமையை வெளிப்படுத்தும்படி, தம்முடைய நாமத்தினிமித்தம் அவர்களை இரட்சித்தார்.

8. Nevertheless, he helped them for his name's sake, that he might make his power to be known.

9. அவர் சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தை அதட்டினார், அது வற்றிப்போயிற்று; வெட்டாந்தரையில் நடக்கிறதுபோல அவர்களை ஆழங்களில் நடந்துபோகப்பண்ணினார்.

9. He rebuked the reed sea,(see) and it was dried up: so he led them thorow the deep as in a wilderness.

10. பகைஞன் கைக்கு அவர்களை விலக்கி இரட்சித்து, சத்துருவின் கைக்கு அவர்களை விலக்கி மீட்டார்.

10. Thus he saved them from the hand of the hater, and delivered them from the hand of the enemy.

11. அவர்கள் சத்துருக்களைத் தண்ணீர்கள் மூடிக்கொண்டது; அவர்களில் ஒருவனும் மீந்திருக்கவில்லை.

11. As for those that troubled them, the waters overwhelmed them, there was not one of them left.

12. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை விசுவாசித்து, அவருடைய துதியைப் பாடினார்கள்.

12. Then believed they in his word, and sang praise unto him.

13. ஆனாலும் சீக்கிரமாய் அவருடைய கிரியைகளை மறந்தார்கள்; அவருடைய ஆலோசனைக்கு அவர்கள் காத்திராமல்,

13. But within a while they forgot his works, and would not abide his counsel.

14. வனாந்தரத்திலே இச்சையுள்ளவர்களாகி, அவாந்தரவெளியிலே தேவனைப் பரீட்சைபார்த்தார்கள்.

14. A lust came upon them in the wilderness, so that they tempted God in the desert.

15. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் கேட்டதை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார், அவர்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களிலோ இளைப்பை அனுப்பினார்.

15. Yet he gave them their desire, and sent them enough at their wiles.

16. பாளயத்தில் அவர்கள் மோசேயின்மேலும், கர்த்தருடைய பரிசுத்தனாகிய ஆரோனின்மேலும் பொறாமைகொண்டார்கள்.

16. They angered Moses in the tents, and Aaron the saint of the LORD.

17. பூமி பிளந்து தாத்தானை விழுங்கி, அபிராமின் கூட்டத்தை மூடிப்போட்டது.

17. So the earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the congregation of Abiram.

18. அவர்கள் கூட்டத்தில் அக்கினி பற்றியெரிந்தது; அக்கினி ஜூவாலை துன்மார்க்கரை எரித்துப்போட்டது.

18. The fire was kindled in their company, the flame brent up the ungodly.

19. அவர்கள் ஓரேபிலே ஒரு கன்றுக்குட்டியையுண்டாக்கி, வார்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட விக்கிரகத்தை நமஸ்கரித்தார்கள்.

19. They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.

20. தங்கள் மகிமையைப் புல்லைத் தின்கிற மாட்டின் சாயலாக மாற்றினார்கள்.

20. Thus they turned their(his) glory into the similitude of a calf, that eateth hay.

21. எகிப்திலே பெரிய கிரியைகளையும், காமின் தேசத்திலே அதிசயங்களையும், சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தண்டையிலே பயங்கரமானவைகளையும் செய்தவராகிய,

21. They forgot God their Savior, which had done so great things in Egypt.

22. தங்கள் இரட்சகரான தேவனை மறந்தார்கள்.

22. wonderous works in the land of Ham, and fearful things in the reed sea.

23. ஆகையால், அவர்களை நாசம்பண்ணுவேன் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது அவரால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட மோசே, அவர்களை அவர் அழிக்காதபடிக்கு, அவருடைய உக்கிரத்தை ஆற்றும்பொருட்டு, அவருக்கு முன்பாகத் திறப்பின் வாயிலே நின்றான்.

23. So he said he would have destroyed them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in that gap: to turn away his wrathful indignation, lest he should destroy them.

24. அவருடைய வார்த்தையை விசுவாசியாமல், இச்சிக்கப்படத்தக்க தேசத்தை அசட்டைபண்ணினார்கள்.

24. Yea they thought scorn of that pleasant land, and gave no credence unto his word.

25. கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்திற்குச் செவிகொடாமல், தங்கள் கூடாரங்களில் முறுமுறுத்தார்கள்.
1 கொரிந்தியர் 10:10

25. But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.

26. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் வனாந்தரத்திலே மடியவும், அவர்கள் சந்ததி ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே அழியவும்,

26. Then lift he up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness.

27. அவர்கள் பற்பல தேசங்களிலே சிதறடிக்கப்படவும், அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தம்முடைய கையை எடுத்தார்.

27. To cast out their seed among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.

28. அவர்கள் பாகால்பேயோரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு, ஜீவனில்லாதவைகளுக்கு இட்ட பலிகளைப் புசித்து,

28. They joined themselves unto Baal Peor, and ate the offering of the dead.

29. தங்கள் கிரியைகளினால் அவருக்குக் கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்; ஆகையால் வாதை அவர்களுக்குள் புகுந்தது.

29. Thus they provoked him unto anger with their own inventions, and the plague was great among them.

30. அப்பொழுது பினெகாஸ் எழுந்து நின்று நியாயஞ்செய்தான்; அதினால் வாதை நிறுத்தப்பட்டது.

30. Then stood up Phinehas, and executed justice, and so the plague ceased.

31. அது தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக என்றைக்கும் அவனுக்கு நீதியாக எண்ணப்பட்டது.

31. And that was counted unto him for righteousness, among all posterities for evermore.

32. மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீர்களிடத்திலும் அவருக்குக் கடுங்கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்; அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் மோசேக்கும் பொல்லாப்பு வந்தது.

32. They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that Moses was punished for their sakes.

33. அவர்கள் அவன் ஆவியை விசனப்படுத்தினதினாலே, தன் உதடுகளினால் பதறிப்பேசினான்.

33. Because they provoked his spirit, and he told them plainly with his lips.

34. கர்த்தர் தங்களுக்குச் சொன்னபடி, அவர்கள் அந்த ஜனங்களை அழிக்கவில்லை.

34. Neither destroyed they the Heathen, as the LORD commanded them.

35. ஜாதிகளுடனே கலந்து, அவர்கள் கிரியைகளைக் கற்று;

35. But were mingled among the Heathen, and learned their works.

36. அவர்களுடைய விக்கிரகங்களைச் சேவித்தார்கள்; அவைகள் அவர்களுக்குக் கண்ணியாயிற்று.

36. In so much that they worshipped their images, which turned to their own decay.

37. அவர்கள் தங்கள் குமாரரையும் தங்கள் குமாரத்திகளையும் பிசாசுகளுக்குப் பலியிட்டார்கள்.
1 கொரிந்தியர் 10:20

37. Yea they offered their sons and their daughters unto devils.

38. அவர்கள் கானான் தேசத்து விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் பலியிட்டு, தங்கள் குமாரர் குமாரத்திகளுடைய குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தினார்கள்; தேசம் இரத்தத்தால் தீட்டுப்பட்டது.

38. And shed the innocent blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they offered unto the images of Canaan, so that the land was defiled with blood.

39. அவர்கள் தங்கள் கிரியைகளினால் அசுத்தமாகி, தங்கள் செய்கைகளினால் சோரம்போனார்கள்.

39. Thus were they stained with their own works, and went awhoring with their own inventions.

40. அதினால் கர்த்தருடைய கோபம் தமது ஜனத்தின்மேல் மூண்டது; அவர் தமது சுதந்தரத்தை அருவருத்தார்.

40. Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.

41. அவர்களை ஜாதிகளுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்களுடைய பகைஞர் அவர்களை ஆண்டார்கள்.

41. And gave them over into the hand of the Heathen, and they that hated them, were lords over them.

42. அவர்களுடைய சத்துருக்கள் அவர்களை ஒடுக்கினார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய கையின்கீழ்த் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டார்கள்.

42. Their enemies oppressed them, and had them in subjection.

43. அநேகந்தரம் அவர்களை விடுவித்தார்; அவர்களோ தங்கள் யோசனையினால் அவருக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணி, தங்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தினால் சிறுமைப்படுத்தப்பட்டார்கள்.

43. Many a time did he deliver them, but they provoked him with their own inventions, and were brought down for their wickedness.

44. அவர்கள் கூப்பிடுதலை அவர் கேட்கும்போதோ, அவர்களுக்கு உண்டான இடுக்கத்தை அவர் கண்ணோக்கி,

44. Nevertheless when he saw their adversity, he heard their complaint.

45. அவர்களுக்காகத் தமது உடன்படிக்கையை நினைத்து, தமது மிகுந்த கிருபையின்படி மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டு,

45. He thought upon his covenant, and pitied them, according unto the multitude of his mercies.

46. அவர்களைச் சிறைபிடித்த யாவரும் அவர்களுக்கு இரங்கும்படி செய்தார்.

46. Yea he made all those that had led them away captive, to pity them.

47. எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, நாங்கள் உமது பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைப் போற்றி, உம்மைத் துதிக்கிறதில் மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படி எங்களை இரட்சித்து, எங்களை ஜாதிகளிலிருந்து சேர்த்தருளும்.

47. Deliver us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the Heathen: that we may give thanks unto thy holy name, and make our boast of thy praise.

48. இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அநாதியாய் என்றென்றைக்கும் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படத்தக்கவர். ஜனங்களெல்லாரும்: ஆமென், அல்லேலூயா, என்பார்களாக.

48. Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting and world without end, and let all people say: Amen, Amen. Praise the everlasting.(Halleluya.)
