1. யோபு தன் பார்வைக்கு நீதிமானாயிருந்தபடியினால், அவனுக்கு அந்த மூன்று மனுஷரும் பிரதியுத்தரம் சொல்லி ஓய்ந்தார்கள்.

1. Then Job's three friends gave up trying to answer him, because he was so sure that he was innocent.

2. அதினால் ராமின் வம்சத்தானான பூசியனாகிய பரகெயேலின் குமாரன் எலிகூவுக்குக் கோபம்மூண்டது, யோபு, தேவனைப்பார்க்கிலும் தன்னைத்தான் நீதிமானாக்கினதினிமித்தம், அவன்மேலும் அவனுக்குக் கோபம் மூண்டது.

2. But there was a young man there named Elihu son of Barakel. He was a descendant of a man named Buz. Elihu was from the family of Ram. He became very angry because Job kept saying he was innocent�that he was right and God was wrong.

3. கொடுக்கத்தக்க மறுமொழி யோபின் மூன்று சிநேகிதருக்கும் அகப்படாதிருந்தும், அவர்கள் அவனை ஆகாதவனென்று தீர்த்ததினிமித்தம், அவர்கள்மேலும் அவனுக்குக் கோபம் மூண்டது.

3. Elihu was also angry with Job's three friends because they could not answer him, and yet they still considered him guilty of doing wrong.

4. அவர்கள் தன்னைப்பார்க்கிலும் வயதுசென்றவர்களானபடியினால், எலிகூ யோபின் வார்த்தைகள் முடிந்து தீருமட்டும் காத்திருந்தான்.

4. Elihu was the youngest one there, so he had waited until everyone finished talking.

5. அந்த மூன்று மனுஷரின் வாயிலும் மறுஉத்தரவு பிறக்கவில்லையென்று எலிகூ கண்டபோது, அவனுக்குக் கோபம் மூண்டது.

5. But when he saw that Job's three friends had nothing more to say, his anger forced him to speak.

6. ஆதலால் பரகெயேலின் குமாரன் எலிகூ என்னும் பூசியன் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: நான் இளவயதுள்ளவன், நீங்களோ விருத்தாப்பியர்; ஆகையால் நான் அஞ்சி, என் அபிப்பிராயத்தை உங்களுக்கு முன்பாக வெளிப்படுத்தப் பயந்திருந்தேன்.

6. So here's what Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite said: 'I am only a young man, and you are all older. That is why I was afraid to tell you what I think.

7. முதியோர் பேசட்டும், வயது சென்றவர்கள் ஞானத்தை அறிவிக்கட்டும் என்றிருந்தேன்.

7. I thought to myself, 'Older people should speak first. They have lived many years, so they have learned many things.'

8. ஆனாலும் மனுஷரில் ஒரு ஆவியுண்டு; சர்வவல்லவருடைய சுவாசமே அவர்களை உணர்வுள்ளவர்களாக்கும்.

8. But it is the spirit in people, the breath from God All-Powerful, that makes them understand.

9. பெரியோரெல்லாம் ஞானிகளல்ல; முதியோரெல்லாம் நீதியை அறிந்தவர்களுமல்ல.

9. Old men are not the only wise people. They are not the only ones who understand what is right.

10. ஆகையால் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; நானும் என் அபிப்பிராயத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவேன் என்றேன்.

10. So please listen to me, and I will tell you what I think.

11. இதோ, உங்கள் வசனங்கள் முடியுமட்டும் காத்திருந்தேன்; நீங்கள் சொல்லத்தக்கதை ஆராய்ந்து தேடுமட்டும், உங்கள் நியாயங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தேன்.

11. I waited patiently while you men talked. I listened to the answers you gave as you searched for the right words.

12. நான் உங்கள் சொல்லைக் கவனித்தேன்; ஆனாலும் இதோ, உங்களில் யோபுக்கு நியாயத்தைத் தெரியக்காட்டி, அவருடைய வசனங்களுக்கு ஏற்ற பிரதியுத்தரம் சொல்லுகிறவனில்லை.

12. I listened carefully to what you said. Not one of you proved Job wrong. Not one of you answered his arguments.

13. ஞானத்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்தோம் என்று நீங்கள் சொல்லாதபடி பாருங்கள்; மனுஷனல்ல, தேவனே அவரை ஜெயங்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.

13. You men cannot say that you have found wisdom. The answer to Job's arguments must come from God, not people.

14. அவர் என்னைப்பார்த்துப் பேசினதில்லை; நீங்கள் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளினால் நான் அவருக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரம் சொல்வதுமில்லை.

14. Job was arguing with you, not me, so I will not use your arguments to answer him.

15. அவர்கள் கலங்கி அப்புறம் பிரதியுத்தரம் சொல்லாதிருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுக்கு பேச்சு அற்றுப் போயிற்று.

15. Job, these men lost the argument. They don't have anything more to say. They don't have any more answers.

16. அவர்கள் பேசார்களோ என்று காத்திருந்தேன்; ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் அப்புறம் மறுமொழி கொடாமலிருந்தபடியினால்,

16. I waited for them to answer you. But now they are quiet. They stand there with nothing more to say.

17. நானும் பிரதியுத்தரமாக எனக்குத் தோன்றியமட்டும் சொல்லுவேன்; நானும் என் அபிப்பிராயத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவேன்.

17. So now I will give you my answer. Yes, I will tell you what I think.

18. வார்த்தைகள் எனக்குள் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது; என் உள்ளத்திலுள்ள ஆவி என்னை நெருக்கி ஏவுகிறது.

18. I have so much to say that I cannot hold it in.

19. இதோ, என் உள்ளம் அடைக்கப்பட்டிருந்து, புதுத் துருத்திகளை முதலாய்ப் பீறப்பண்ணுகிற புதுரசத்தைப் போலிருக்கிறது.

19. I feel like a jar of wine that has never been opened. I am like a new wineskin ready to burst.

20. நான் ஆறுதலடையும்படி பேசுவேன்; என் உதடுகளைத் திறந்து பிரதியுத்தரம் சொல்லுவேன்.

20. I must speak so that I will feel better. I must answer your arguments.

21. நான் ஒருவனுடைய முகத்தைப் பாராமலும், ஒரு மனுஷனுக்கும் இச்சகம் பேசாமலும் இருப்பேனாக.

21. I will treat you the same as I would treat anyone else. I will not praise you to win your favor.

22. நான் இச்சகம் பேச அறியேன்; பேசினால் என்னை உண்டாக்கினவர் சீக்கிரமாய் என்னை எடுத்துக்கொள்வார்.

22. I cannot treat one person better than another. If I did, God my Maker would punish me!
