1. இதோ, இவைகளெல்லாவற்றையும் என் கண் கண்டு, என் காது கேட்டு அறிந்திருக்கிறது.

1. Lo! all this , hath mine own eye seen, Mine ear hath heard and understood it:

2. நீங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறதை நானும் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்; நான் உங்களுக்குத் தாழ்ந்தவன் அல்ல.

2. Just as ye know, I too, know, I, fall not short, of you.

3. சர்வவல்லவரோடே நான் பேசினால் நல்லது; தேவனோடே நியாயத்திற்காக வழக்காட விரும்புவேன்.

3. But indeed, I, unto the Almighty, would speak, and, to direct my argument unto GOD, would I be well pleased.

4. நீங்கள் பொய்யைப் பிணைக்கிறவர்கள்; நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் காரியத்துக்குதவாத வைத்தியர்கள்.

4. For, in truth, ye, do besmear with falsehood, Worthless physicians, all of you!

5. நீங்கள் பேசாமலிருந்தால் நலமாகும்; அது உங்களுக்கு ஞானமாயிருக்கும்.

5. Oh that ye would, altogether held your peace, and it should serve you for wisdom!

6. நீங்கள் என் நியாயத்தைக் கேட்டு, என் உதடுகள் சொல்லும் விசேஷங்களைக் கவனியுங்கள்.

6. Hear, I pray you, the argument of my mouth, and, to the pleadings of my lips, give heed:

7. நீங்கள் தேவனுக்காக நியாயக்கேடாய்ப் பேசி, அவருக்காக வஞ்சகமாய் வசனிக்கவேண்டுமோ?

7. Is it, for God, ye would speak perversely? And, for him, would ye speak deceit:

8. அவருக்கு முகதாட்சிணியம்பண்ணுவீர்களோ? தேவனுக்காக வழக்காடுவீர்களோ?

8. Even, for him, would ye be partial? Or, for GOD, would ye so plead?

9. அவர் உங்களை ஆராய்ந்துபார்த்தால் அது உங்களுக்கு நலமாயிருக்குமோ? மனுஷனைப் பரியாசம் பண்ணுகிறதுபோல அவரைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணுவீர்களோ?

9. Would it be well, when he searched you out? Or, as one might jest with a mortal, would ye jest, with him?

10. நீங்கள் அந்தரங்கமாய் முகதாட்சிணியம்பண்ணினால், அவர் உங்களை எவ்விதத்திலும் கண்டிப்பார்.

10. He will, severely rebuke, you, if ye are secretly partial.

11. அவருடைய மகத்துவம் உங்களைத் திடுக்கிடப்பண்ணாதோ? அவருடைய பயங்கரம் உங்களைப் பிடிக்கமாட்டாதோ?

11. Shall not, his majesty, overwhelm you? and, the dread of him, fall upon you?

12. உங்கள் பேரை நினைக்கப்பண்ணும் அடையாளங்கள் சாம்பலுக்குச் சரி; உங்கள் மேட்டிமைகள் சேற்றுக்குவியல்களுக்குச் சமானம்.

12. Are not your memorable sayings, proverbs of ashes? Breastworks of clay, your breastworks?

13. நீங்கள் மவுனமாயிருங்கள், நான் பேசுகிறேன், எனக்கு வருகிறது வரட்டும்.

13. Quietly let me alone, that, I, may speak out, then let come on me, what may.

14. நான் என் பற்களினால் என் சதையைப் பிடுங்கி, என் பிராணனை என் கையிலே வைப்பானேன்?

14. In any case, I will take up my flesh in my teeth, and, my life, will I put in my hand:

15. அவர் என்னைக் கொன்றுபோட்டாலும், அவர்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிருப்பேன்; ஆனாலும் என் வழிகளை அவருக்கு முன்பாக ரூபகாரம்பண்ணுவேன்.

15. Lo! he may slay me, yet , for him, will I wait, Nevertheless, my ways unto his face, will I show to be right:

16. அவரே என் இரட்சிப்பு; மாயக்காரனோ அவர் சந்நிதியில் சேரான்.

16. Even he, will be on my side unto salvation, For, not before his face, shall any impious person come.

17. என் வசனத்தையும், நான் சொல்லிக் காண்பிக்கிறதையும், உங்கள் செவிகளால் கவனமாய்க் கேளுங்கள்.

17. Hear ye patiently my speech, and be my declaration in your ears.

18. இதோ, என் நியாயங்களை அணியணியாக வைத்தேன்; என் நீதி விளங்கும் என்று அறிவேன்.

18. Lo! I pray you, I have set forth in order a plea, I know that, I, shall be found right.

19. என்னோடே வழக்காடவேண்டுமென்று இருக்கிறவன் யார்? நான் மவுனமாயிருந்தால் ஜீவித்துப்போவேனே.

19. Who is it that shall contend with me? For, now, if I should hold my peace, why! I should breathe my last!

20. இரண்டு காரியங்களை மாத்திரம் எனக்குச் செய்யாதிருப்பீராக; அப்பொழுது உமது முகத்துக்கு முன்பாக ஒளித்துக்கொள்ளாதிருப்பேன்.

20. Only, two things, do thou not with me, then, from thy face, will I not hide me:

21. உம்முடைய கையை என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரப்படுத்தும்; உம்முடைய பயங்கரம் என்னைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணாதிருப்பதாக.

21. Thy hand from off me, take thou far away, and, thy terror, let it not startle me!

22. நீர் கூப்பிடும், நான் உத்தரவு கொடுப்பேன்; அல்லது நான் பேசுவேன்; நீர் எனக்கு மறுமொழி சொல்லும்.

22. Then call thou, and, I, will answer, Or I will speak, and reply thou unto me.

23. என் அக்கிரமங்களும் பாவங்களும் எத்தனை? என் மீறுதலையும் என்பாவத்தையும் எனக்கு உணர்த்தும்.

23. How many are mine iniquities and sins? My transgression and my sin, let me know!

24. நீர் உமது முகத்தை மறைத்து, என்னை உமக்குப் பகைஞனாக எண்ணுவானேன்?

24. Wherefore, thy face, shouldst thou hide? Or count me, as an enemy to thee?

25. காற்றடித்த சருகை நொறுக்குவீரோ? காய்ந்துபோன துரும்பைப் பின்தொடருவீரோ?

25. A driven leaf, wilt thou cause to tremble? Or, dry stubble, wilt thou pursue?

26. மகா கசப்பான தீர்ப்புகளை என்பேரில் எழுதுகிறீர்; என் சிறுவயதின் அக்கிரமங்களை எனக்குப் பலிக்கப்பண்ணுகிறீர்.

26. For thou writest, against me, bitter things, and dost make me inherit the iniquities of my youth;

27. என் கால்களைத் தொழுவடித்துப்போட்டு, என் வழிகளையெல்லாம் காவல்பண்ணுகிறீர்; என் காலடிகளில் அடையாளத்தைப் போடுகிறீர்.

27. And thou dost put in the stocks my feet, and observest all my paths, Against the roots of my feet, thou dost cut out a bound;

28. இப்படிப்பட்டவன் அழுகிப்போகிற வஸ்துபோலவும், பொட்டரித்த வஸ்திரம் போலவும் அழிந்து போவான்.

28. And, a man himself, as a rotten thing, weareth out, as a garment which the moth hath eaten.
