1. அப்பொழுது ஜனங்கள் யோசியாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோவாகாசை அழைத்து, அவனை எருசலேமிலே அவன் தகப்பன் ஸ்தானத்திலே ராஜாவாக்கினார்கள்.

1. Then the people of the land took Yeho'achaz the son of Yoshiyahu, and made him king in his father's place in Yerushalayim.

2. யோவாகாஸ் ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபத்துமூன்று வயதாயிருந்து, மூன்று மாதம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டான்.

2. Yo'achaz was twenty-three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Yerushalayim.

3. அவன் எருசலேமில் அரசாளாதபடிக்கு எகிப்தின் ராஜா அவனைத் தள்ளிவிட்டு, தேசத்தின்மேல் நூறு தாலந்து வெள்ளியும் ஒரு தாலந்து பொன்னுமான தண்டத்தைச் சுமத்தி,

3. The king of Mitzrayim deposed him at Yerushalayim, and fined the land one hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.

4. அவனுடைய அண்ணனாகிய எலியாக்கீமை யூதாவின்மேலும் எருசலேமின்மேலும் ராஜாவாக்கி, அவன் பேரை யோயாக்கீம் என்று மாற்றினான்; அவன் தம்பியாகிய யோவாகாசை எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய நேகோ எகிப்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோனான்.

4. The king of Mitzrayim made Elyakim his brother king over Yehudah and Yerushalayim, and changed his name to Yehoiakim. Nekho took Yo'achaz his brother, and carried him to Mitzrayim.

5. யோயாக்கீம் ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபத்தைந்து வயதாயிருந்து, பதினொரு வருஷம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டு, தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.

5. Yehoiakim was Twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Yerushalayim: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God.

6. அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் வந்து, அவனைப் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோக இரண்டு வெண்கலச் சங்கிலியால் அவனைக் கட்டினான்.

6. Against him came up Nevukhadnetztzar king of Bavel, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Bavel.

7. கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் பணிமுட்டுகளிலும் சிலவற்றை நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவைகளைப் பாபிலோனிலுள்ள தன்னுடைய கோவிலிலே வைத்தான்.

7. Nevukhadnetztzar also carried of the vessels of the house of the LORD to Bavel, and put them in his temple at Bavel.

8. யோயாக்கீமுடைய மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்ததும், அவனிடத்திலே கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டதுமான அவனுடைய அருவருப்புகளும், இஸ்ரவேல் யூதா ராஜாக்களின் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது; அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் அவன் குமாரனாகிய யோயாக்கீன் ராஜாவானான்.

8. Now the rest of the acts of Yehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Yisra'el and Yehudah: and Yehoiakim his son reigned in his place.

9. யோயாக்கீன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது எட்டு வயதாயிருந்து, மூன்று மாதமும் பத்து நாளும் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டு, கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.

9. Yehoiakim was eight years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months and ten days in Yerushalayim: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.

10. மறுவருஷத்தின் ஆரம்பத்திலே நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்னும் ராஜா அவனையும், கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் திவ்வியமான பணிமுட்டுகளையும் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுவரப்பண்ணி, அவன் சிறிய தகப்பனாகிய சிதேக்கியாவை யூதாவின்மேலும் எருசலேமின்மேலும் ராஜாவாக்கினான்.

10. At the return of the year king Nevukhadnetztzar sent, and brought him to Bavel, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Tzidkiyahu his brother king over Yehudah and Yerushalayim.

11. சிதேக்கியா ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபத்தொரு வயதாயிருந்து, பதினோரு வருஷம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டு,

11. Tzidkiyahu was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Yerushalayim:

12. தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; அவன் கர்த்தருடைய வாக்கை உரைத்த எரேமியா என்கிற தீர்க்கதரிசிக்கு முன்பாகத் தன்னைத் தாழ்த்தவில்லை.

12. and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God; he didn't humble himself before Yirmeyahu the prophet speaking from the mouth of the LORD.

13. தேவன்மேல் தன்னை ஆணையிடுவித்துக்கொண்ட நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்னும் ராஜாவுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணி, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்துக்குத் திரும்பாதபடிக்கு, தன் கழுத்தை அழுத்தமாக்கி, தன் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தினான்.

13. He also rebelled against king Nevukhadnetztzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart against turning to the LORD, the God of Yisra'el.

14. ஆசாரியரில் பிரதானமானவர்கள் யாவரும் ஜனங்களும் கூடிப் புறஜாதிகளுடைய சகல அருவருப்புகளின்படியும் மிகவும் துரோகம்பண்ணி, கர்த்தர் எருசலேமிலே பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணின அவருடைய ஆலயத்தை தீட்டுப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

14. Moreover all the chiefs of the Kohanim, and the people, trespassed very greatly after all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted the house of the LORD which he had made holy in Yerushalayim.

15. அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தமது ஜனத்தையும் தமது வாசஸ்தலத்தையும் காப்பதற்கான இரக்கமுள்ளவராயிருந்தபடியால், அவர்களிடத்துக்குத் தம்முடைய ஸ்தானாபதிகளை ஏற்கெனவே அனுப்பினார்.

15. The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling-place:

16. but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, until there was no remedy.

17. Therefore he brought on them the king of the Kasdim, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or gray-headed: he gave them all into his hand.

18. அவன் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் பெரிதும் சிறிதுமான பணிமுட்டுகள் அனைத்தையும், கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் பொக்கிஷங்களும் ராஜாவுக்கும் அவன் பிரபுக்களும் இருந்த பொக்கிஷங்களுமாகிய அனைத்தையும் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனான்.

18. All the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes, all these he brought to Bavel.

19. அவர்கள் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தைத் தீக்கொளுத்தி, எருசலேமின் அலங்கத்தை இடித்து, அதின் மாளிகைகளையெல்லாம் அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்து, அதிலிருந்த திவ்வியமான பணிமுட்டுகளையெல்லாம் அழித்தார்கள்.

19. They burnt the house of God, and broke down the wall of Yerushalayim, and burnt all the palaces of it with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels of it.

20. பட்டயத்திற்குத் தப்பின மீதியானவர்களை அவன் பாபிலோனுக்குச் சிறைபிடித்துப்போனான்; பெர்சியா ராஜ்யபாரம் ஸ்தாபிக்கப்படுமட்டும் அங்கே அவர்கள் அவனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரருக்கும் அடிமைகளாயிருந்தார்கள்.

20. Those who had escaped from the sword carried he away to Bavel; and they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Paras:

21. கர்த்தர் எரேமியாவின் வாயினாலே சொன்ன வார்த்தை நிறைவேறும்படிக்கு, தேசம் தன்னுடைய ஓய்வு வருஷங்களை இரம்மியமாய் அநுபவித்துத் தீருமட்டும், அது பாழாய்க்கிடந்த நாளெல்லாம், அதாவது, எழுபது வருஷம் முடியுமட்டும் ஓய்ந்திருந்தது.

21. to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Yirmeyahu, until the land had enjoyed its Shabbatot: for as long as it lay desolate it kept Shabbat, to fulfill seventy years.

22. எரேமியாவின் வாயினாலே கர்த்தர் சொன்ன வார்த்தை நிறைவேறும்படி, பெர்சியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய கோரேசின் முதலாம் வருஷத்திலே கர்த்தர் பெர்சியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய கோரேசின் ஆவியை ஏவினதினாலே, அவன்: பரலோகத்தின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் பூமியின் ராஜ்யங்களையெல்லாம் எனக்குத் தந்தருளி, யூதாவிலுள்ள எருசலேமிலே தமக்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவிக்கும்படி எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறார்.

22. Now in the first year of Koresh king of Paras, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Yirmeyahu might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Koresh king of Paras, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

23. அவருடைய ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரிலும் எவன் உங்களுக்குள் இருக்கிறானோ அவன் போகட்டும், அவனுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவனோடிருப்பாராக என்று பெர்சியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய கோரேஸ் அறிவிக்கிறார் என்று, தன் ராஜ்யம் எங்கும் எழுதியனுப்பி விளம்பரம்பண்ணினான்.

23. Thus says Koresh king of Paras, All the kingdoms of the eretz has the LORD, the God of heaven, given me; and he has charged me to build him a house in Yerushalayim, which is in Yehudah. Whoever there is among you of all his people, the LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.
