1. அதற்குப் பின்பு யோசியா எருசலேமிலே கர்த்தருக்குப் பஸ்காவை ஆசரித்தான்; அவர்கள் முதலாம் மாதம் பதினாலாந்தேதியிலே பஸ்கா ஆட்டுக்குட்டியை அடித்தார்கள்.

1. And Josiah kept a Passover to the Lord his God; and sacrificed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

2. அவன் ஆசாரியர்களை அவர்கள் முறைவரிசைகளில் வைத்து, அவர்களைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் ஆராதனை செய்யத் திட்டப்படுத்தி,

2. And he appointed the priests at their charges, and encouraged them for the services of the house of the Lord.

3. இஸ்ரவேலையெல்லாம் உபதேசிக்கிறவர்களும், கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டவர்களுமாகிய லேவியரை நோக்கி: பரிசுத்தப்பெட்டியைத் தாவீதின் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோன் என்னும் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா கட்டின ஆலயத்திலே வையுங்கள்; தோளின்மேல் அதைச் சுமக்கும் பாரம் உங்களுக்குரியதல்ல; இப்போது நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கும், அவருடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கும் ஊழியஞ்செய்து,

3. And he told the Levites that were able [to act] in all Israel, that they should consecrate themselves to the Lord. And they put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel built. And the king said, You must not carry anything on your shoulders; now then minister to the Lord your God, and to His people Israel.

4. இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய தாவீது எழுதின கட்டளைக்கும், அவன் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோன் எழுதின கட்டளைக்கும் ஒத்தபடியே உங்கள் பிதாக்களின் குடும்பத்தாருக்காகக் குறிக்கப்பட்ட வரிசையிலே உங்களை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி,

4. And prepare yourselves according to the houses of your families, and according to your daily courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and [the order] by the hand of his son Solomon.

5. ஜனங்களாகிய உங்கள் சகோதரருக்காகப் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலே பிதாக்களுடைய வம்சப் பிரிவுகளின்படியேயும், லேவியருடைய வம்சத்தார் வகுக்கப்பட்டபடியேயும் நின்று,

5. And stand in the house according to the divisions of the houses of your families for your brethren the sons of the people; [so] also let there be for the Levites a division of the house of their family.

6. பஸ்கா ஆட்டுக்குட்டியை அடித்து, உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணி, மோசேயைக்கொண்டு கர்த்தர் சொன்னபடியே உங்கள் சகோதரர் செய்யும்படி, அவர்களுக்கு அவைகளை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள் என்றான்.

6. And kill the Passover [lamb], and prepare [it] for your brethren, to do according to the word of the Lord, by the hand of Moses.

7. வந்திருந்த ஜனங்கள் எல்லாருக்கும், அவர்கள் இலக்கத்தின்படியே, பஸ்கா பலிக்காக முப்பதினாயிரம் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், மூவாயிரம் காளைகளையும், ராஜாவாகிய யோசியா தன்னுடைய ஆஸ்தியிலிருந்து கொடுத்தான்.

7. And Josiah gave as an offering to the children of the people, sheep, lambs, and kids of the young of the goats, all for the Passover, [even for] all that were found, in number [amounting to] thirty thousand, and three thousand calves, these [were] of the substance of the king.

8. அவனுடைய பிரபுக்களும் மனப்பூர்வமான காணிக்கையாக ஜனத்திற்கும் ஆசாரியருக்கும் லேவியருக்கும் கொடுத்தார்கள்; தேவனுடைய ஆலய விசாரணைக்கர்த்தாவாகிய இல்க்கியாவும் சகரியாவும் யெகியேலும் ஆசாரியர்களுக்குப் பஸ்கா பலிக்கென்று இரண்டாயிரத்து அறுநூறு ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், முந்நூறு காளைகளையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்.

8. And his princes gave an offering to the people, and to the priests, and to the Levites: and Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel the chief men gave to the priests of the house of God, they even gave for the Passover sheep, lambs, and kids, two thousand six hundred, and three hundred calves.

9. கொனானியா, செமாயா, நெதனெயேல் என்னும் அவர்கள் சகோதரரும், அசபியா, ஏயெல், யோசபாத் என்னும் லேவியரின் பிரபுக்களும், லேவியருக்குப் பஸ்கா பலிக்கென்று ஐயாயிரம் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும் ஐந்நூறு காளைகளையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்.

9. And Conaniah, Benaiah, Shemaiah, Nethaneel his brother, Hashabiah, Jeiel, and Jozabad, heads of the Levites, gave an offering to the Levites for the Passover, of five thousand sheep and five hundred calves.

10. இப்படி ஆராதனை திட்டம்பண்ணப்பட்டபோது, ராஜாவினுடைய கட்டளையின்படியே, ஆசாரியர் தங்கள் ஸ்தானத்திலும், லேவியர் தங்கள் வகுப்புகளின் வரிசையிலும் நின்று,

10. And the service was duly ordered, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their divisions, according to the command of the king.

11. பஸ்கா ஆட்டுக்குட்டியை அடித்தார்கள்; ஆசாரியர் அவர்கள் கையிலிருந்து இரத்தத்தை வாங்கித் தெளித்தார்கள்; லேவியர் தோலுரித்தார்கள்.

11. And they killed the Passover [offerings], and the priests sprinkled the blood from their hand, and the Levites skinned [the animals].

12. மோசேயின் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி ஜனங்கள் கர்த்தருக்குப் பலி செலுத்தும்படி, அவர்கள் தகனபலி மிருகங்களைப் பிதாக்களுடைய வம்சப்பிரிவுகளின்படியே, இவர்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கத்தக்கதாய் அவைகளைப் பிரித்துவைத்தார்கள்; காளைகளையும் அப்படியே செய்தார்கள்.

12. And they prepared the whole burnt offering to give to them, according to the division by the houses of families, [even] to the sons of the people, to offer to the Lord, as it is written in the Book of Moses.

13. அவர்கள் பஸ்கா ஆட்டுக்குட்டியை நியாயமுறைமையின்படியே அக்கினியில் பொரித்து, பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்ட மற்றவைகளைப் பானைகளிலும் கொப்பரைகளிலும் சட்டிகளிலும் சமைத்து, ஜனங்களுக்கெல்லாம் தீவிரமாய்ப் பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.

13. And thus [they did] till the morning. And they roasted the Passover with fire according to the ordinance; and boiled the holy [pieces] in copper vessels and caldrons, and [the feast] went on well, and they quickly served all the children of the people.

14. பின்பு தங்களுக்காகவும் ஆசாரியருக்காகவும் ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள்; ஆரோனின் புத்திரராகிய ஆசாரியர்கள் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும் நிணத்தையும் செலுத்துகிறதில், இரவு மட்டும் வேலையாயிருந்தபடியினால், லேவியர் தங்களுக்காகவும், ஆரோனின் புத்திரராகிய ஆசாரியருக்காகவும் ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

14. And after they had prepared for themselves and for the priests, for the priests [were engaged] in offering the whole burnt offerings and the fat until night, then the Levites prepared for themselves, and for their brethren the sons of Aaron.

15. தாவீதும், ஆசாபும், ஏமானும், ராஜாவின் ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரனாகிய எதுத்தூனும் கற்பித்தபடியே, ஆசாபின் புத்திரராகிய பாடகர் தங்கள் ஸ்தானத்திலும், வாசல்காவலாளர் ஒவ்வொரு வாசலிலும் நின்றார்கள்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஊழியத்தை விட்டு விலகக்கூடாதிருந்தது; லேவியரான அவர்கள் சகோதரர் அவர்களுக்காக ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

15. And the sons of Asaph the psalm-singers [were] at their post according to the commands of David, and Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, the prophets of the king. Also, the chiefs and the porters of the several gates-it was not for them to stir from the service of the holy things, for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.

16. அப்படியே ராஜாவாகிய யோசியாவினுடைய கட்டளைப்படி, பஸ்காவை ஆசரிக்கிறதற்கும், கர்த்தருடைய பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளை இடுகிறதற்கும் அடுத்த கர்த்தருடைய ஆராதனையெல்லாம் அன்றையதினம் திட்டமாய்ச் செய்யப்பட்டது.

16. So all the service of the Lord was duly ordered and prepared in that day, for keeping the Passover, and offering the whole burnt sacrifices on the altar of the Lord, according to the command of King Josiah.

17. அங்கே வந்திருந்த இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அக்காலத்தில் பஸ்காவையும், புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பப்பண்டிகையையும் ஏழு நாளளவும் ஆசரித்தார்கள்.

17. And the children of Israel that were present kept the Passover at that time, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days.

18. தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய சாமுவேலின் நாள் தொடங்கி, இஸ்ரவேலிலே அப்படிக்கொத்த பஸ்கா ஆசரிக்கப்படவில்லை; யோசியாவும், ஆசாரியரும், லேவியரும், யூதாவனைத்தும், இஸ்ரவேலில் வந்திருந்தவர்களும், எருசலேமின் குடிகளும் ஆசரித்த பஸ்காவைப்போல இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களில் ஒருவரும் ஆசரித்ததில்லை.

18. And there was no Passover like it in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet, or any king of Israel; they kept not such a Passover as Josiah, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, kept to the Lord.

19. யோசியாவுடைய ராஜ்யபாரத்தின் பதினெட்டாம் வருஷத்திலே இந்தப் பஸ்கா ஆசரிக்கப்பட்டது.

19. In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah this Passover was kept, after all these things that Josiah did in the house. And King Josiah burnt those who had in them a divining spirit, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and the sodomites which were in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, that he might confirm the words of the law that were written in the book which Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the Lord. There was no [king] like him before him, who turned to the Lord with all his heart, and all his soul, and all his strength, according to all the Law of Moses, and after him there rose up none like him. Nevertheless the Lord turned not from the anger of His fierce wrath, wherewith the Lord was greatly angry against Judah, for all the provocations in which Manasseh had provoked Him. And the Lord said, I will even remove Judah also from My presence, as I have removed Israel, and I have rejected the city which I chose, [even] Jerusalem, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.

20. யோசியா தேவாலயத்திற்கு அடுத்ததைத் திட்டப்படுத்தின இந்த எல்லா நடபடிகளுக்கும்பின்பு, எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய நேகோ ஐபிராத்து நதியோரமான கர்கேமிஸ் பட்டணத்தின்மேல் யுத்தம் பண்ணவந்தான்; அப்பொழுது யோசியா அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய் யுத்தஞ்செய்யப்புறப்பட்டான்.

20. And Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt went up against the king of the Assyrians to the River Euphrates, and King Josiah went to meet him.

21. அவன் இவனிடத்துக்கு ஸ்தானாபதிகளை அனுப்பி: யூதாவின் ராஜாவே, எனக்கும் உமக்கும் என்ன? நான் இப்போது உமக்கு விரோதமாய் அல்ல, என்னோடே யுத்தம்பண்ணுகிற ஒருவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் போகிறேன்; நான் தீவிரிக்க வேண்டுமென்று தேவன் சொன்னார்; தேவன் என்னோடிருக்கிறார்; அவர் உம்மை அழிக்காதபடிக்கு அவருக்கு எதிரிடை செய்வதை விட்டுவிடும் என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னான்.

21. And he sent messengers to him, saying, What have I to do with you, O king of Judah? I have not come today to war against you; and God has told me to make haste; beware of the God that is with me, lest He destroy you.

22. ஆனாலும் யோசியா தன் முகத்தை அவனை விட்டுத் திருப்பாமலும், நேகோ சொன்ன தேவனுடைய வாயின் வார்த்தைகளுக்குச் செவிகொடாமலும், அவனோடே யுத்தம்பண்ண வேஷம்மாறி, மெகிதோவின் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே யுத்தம்பண்ணுகிறதற்கு வந்தான்.

22. However, Josiah turned not his face from him, but strengthened himself to fight against him, and hearkened not to the words of Necho by the mouth of God, and he came to fight in the plain of Megiddo.

23. வில்வீரர் யோசியா ராஜாவின்மேல் அம்பெய்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது ராஜா தன் ஊழியக்காரரை நோக்கி: என்னை அப்புறம் கொண்டுபோங்கள், எனக்குக் கொடிய காயம்பட்டது என்றான்.

23. And the archers shot at King Josiah. And the king said to his servants, Take me away, for I am severely wounded.

24. அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரர் அந்த இரதத்தின்மேலிருந்த அவனை இறக்கி, அவனுக்கு இருந்த இரண்டாவது இரதத்தின்மேல் ஏற்றி அவனை எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவன் மரணமடைந்து தன் பிதாக்களின் கல்லறையில் அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; யூதாவிலும் எருசலேமிலுமுள்ள யாவரும் யோசியாவுக்காகத் துக்கங்கொண்டாடினார்கள்.

24. And his servants lifted him out of the chariot, and put him in the second chariot which he had, and brought him to Jerusalem. And he died, and was buried with his fathers; and all Judah and Jerusalem lamented over Josiah.

25. எரேமியா யோசியாவின்மேல் புலம்பல் பாடினான்; சகல பாடகரும் பாடகிகளும் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் தங்கள் புலம்பல்களில் யோசியாவின்மேல் பாடுகிறார்கள்; அவைகள் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இஸ்ரவேலிலே வழங்கிவருகிறது; அவைகள் புலம்பலின் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

25. And Jeremiah mourned over Josiah, and all the chief men and chief women uttered a lamentation over Josiah until this day. And they made it an ordinance for Israel, and behold, it is written in the lamentations.

26. யோசியாவின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், கர்த்தருடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறதற்கொத்த அவன் செய்த நன்மைகளும்,

26. And the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his hope, are written in the law of the Lord.

27. அவனுடைய ஆதியோடந்த நடபடிகளும், இஸ்ரவேல் யூதா ராஜாக்களின் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

27. And his acts, the first and the last, behold, [they are] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
