1. They brought the Chest of God and placed it right in the center of the tent that David had pitched for it; then they worshiped by presenting burnt offerings and peace offerings to God.

2. When David had completed the offerings of worship, he blessed the people in the name of GOD.

3. Then he passed around to every one there, men and women alike, a loaf of bread, a slice of barbecue, and a raisin cake.

4. இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைப் பிரஸ்தாபம்பண்ணித் துதித்துப் புகழுகிறதற்கு கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகச் சேவிக்கத்தக்க லேவியரில் சிலரை நியமித்தான்.

4. Then David assigned some of the Levites to the Chest of GOD to lead worship--to intercede, give thanks, and praise the GOD of Israel.

5. அவர்களில் ஆசாப் தலைவனும், சகரியா அவனுக்கு இரண்டாவதுமாயிருந்தான்; ஏயெல், செமிரமோத், யெகியேல், மத்தித்தியா, எலியாப், பெனாயா, ஓபேத்ஏதோம், ஏயெல் என்பவர்கள் தம்புரு சுரமண்டலம் என்னும் கீதவாத்தியங்களை வாசிக்கவும், ஆசாப் கைத்தாளங்களைக் கொட்டவும்,

5. Asaph was in charge; under him were Zechariah, Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, who played the musical instruments. Asaph was on percussion.

6. பெனாயா, யாகாசியேல் என்னும் ஆசாரியர் எப்போதும் தேவனுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகப் பூரிகைகளை ஊதவும் நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.

6. The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel blew the trumpets before the Chest of the Covenant of God at set times through the day.

7. அப்படி ஆரம்பித்த அந்நாளிலேதானே கர்த்தருக்குத் துதியாகப் பாடும்படி தாவீது ஆசாப்பிடத்திலும் அவன் சகோதரரிடத்திலும் கொடுத்த சங்கீதமாவது:

7. That was the day that David inaugurated regular worship of praise to GOD, led by Asaph and his company.

8. கர்த்தரைத் துதித்து, அவருடைய நாமத்தைப் பிரஸ்தாபமாக்குங்கள்; அவருடைய செய்கைகளை ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே பிரசித்தப்படுத்துங்கள்.

8. Thank GOD! Call out his Name! Tell the whole world who he is and what he's done!

9. அவரைப் பாடி, அவரைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணி, அவருடைய அதியசங்களையெல்லாம் தியானித்துப் பேசுங்கள்.

9. Sing to him! Play songs for him! Broadcast all his wonders!

10. அவருடைய பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைக்குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டுங்கள்; கர்த்தரைத் தேடுகிறவர்களின் இருதயம் மகிழ்வதாக.

10. Revel in his holy Name, GOD-seekers, be jubilant!

11. கர்த்தரையும் அவர் வல்லமையையும் நாடுங்கள்; அவர் சமுகத்தை நித்தமும் தேடுங்கள்.

11. Study GOD and his strength, seek his presence day and night;

12. அவருடைய தாசனாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின் சந்ததியே! அவரால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களாகிய யாக்கோபின் புத்திரரே!

12. Remember all the wonders he performed, the miracles and judgments that came out of his mouth.

13. அவர் செய்த அதிசயங்களையும் அவருடைய அற்புதங்களையும் அவர் வாக்கின் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகளையும் நினைவுகூறுங்கள்.

13. Seed of Israel his servant! Children of Jacob, his first choice!

14. அவரே நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்; அவருடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகள் பூமியெங்கும் விளங்கும்.

14. He is GOD, our God; wherever you go you come on his judgments and decisions.

15. ஆயிரந்தலைமுறைக்கென்று அவர் கட்டளையிட்ட வாக்கையும், ஆபிரகாமோடே அவர் பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையையும்,

15. He keeps his commitments across thousands of generations, the covenant he commanded,

16. அவர் ஈசாக்குக்கு இட்ட ஆணையையும் என்றென்றைக்கும் நினைத்திருங்கள்.

16. The same one he made with Abraham, the very one he swore to Isaac;

17. அதை யாக்கோபுக்குப் பிரமாணமாகவும், இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையாகவும் உறுதிப்படுத்தி:

17. He posted it in big block letters to Jacob, this eternal covenant with Israel:

18. உங்கள் சுதந்தரபாகமாக கானான் தேசத்தை உனக்குத் தருவேன் என்றார்.

18. 'I give you the land of Canaan, this is your inheritance;

19. அக்காலத்தில் அவர்கள் கொஞ்சத்தொகைக்குட்பட்ட சொற்பஜனங்களும் பரதேசிகளுமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

19. Even though you're not much to look at, a few straggling strangers.'

20. அவர்கள் ஒரு ஜனத்தை விட்டு மறு ஜனத்தண்டைக்கும், ஒரு ராஜ்யத்தை விட்டு மறு தேசத்தாரண்டைக்கும் போனார்கள்.

20. They wandered from country to country, camped out in one kingdom after another;

21. அவர்களையொடுக்கும்படி ஒருவருக்கும் இடங்கொடாமல், அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் ராஜாக்களைக் கடிந்துகொண்டு:

21. But he didn't let anyone push them around, he stood up for them against bully-kings:

22. நான் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினவர்களை நீங்கள் தொடாமலும், என்னுடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்குத் தீங்குசெய்யாமலும் இருங்கள் என்றார்.

22. 'Don't you dare touch my anointed ones, don't lay a hand on my prophets.'

23. பூமியின் சகல குடிகளே, கர்த்தரைப் பாடி, நாளுக்குநாள் அவருடைய ரட்சிப்பைச் சுவிசேஷமாய் அறிவியுங்கள்.

23. Sing to GOD, everyone and everything! Get out his salvation news every day!

24. ஜாதிகளுக்குள் அவருடைய மகிமையையும், சகல ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளும் அவருடைய அதிசயங்களையும் விவரித்துச் சொல்லுங்கள்.

24. Publish his glory among the godless nations, his wonders to all races and religions.

25. கர்த்தர் பெரியவரும் மிகவும் துதிக்கப்படத்தக்கவருமாயிருக்கிறார்; எல்லா தேவர்களிலும் பயப்படத்தக்கவர் அவரே.

25. And why? Because GOD is great--well worth praising! No god or goddess comes close in honor.

26. சகல ஜனங்களுடைய தேவர்களும் விக்கிரகங்கள்தானே; கர்த்தரோ வானங்களை உண்டாக்கினவர்.

26. All the popular gods are stuff and nonsense, but GOD made the cosmos!

27. மகிமையும் கனமும் அவர் சமுகத்தில் இருக்கிறது; வல்லமையும் மகிழ்ச்சியும் அவர் ஸ்தலத்தில் இருக்கிறது.

27. Splendor and majesty flow out of him, strength and joy fill his place.

28. ஜனங்களின் வம்சங்களே, கர்த்தருக்கு மகிமையையும் வல்லமையையும் செலுத்துங்கள்; கர்த்தருக்கே அதைச் செலுத்துங்கள்.

28. Shout Bravo! to GOD, families of the peoples, in awe of the Glory, in awe of the Strength: Bravo!

29. கர்த்தருக்கு அவருடைய நாமத்திற்குரிய மகிமையைச் செலுத்தி, காணிக்கைகளைக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவருடைய சந்நிதியில் பிரவேசியுங்கள்; பரிசுத்த அலங்காரத்துடனே கர்த்தரைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுங்கள்.

29. Shout Bravo! to his famous Name, lift high an offering and enter his presence! Stand resplendent in his robes of holiness!

30. பூலோகத்தாரே, நீங்கள் யாவரும் அவருக்கு முன்பாக நடுங்குங்கள்; அவர் பூச்சக்கரத்தை அசையாதபடிக்கு உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறவர்.

30. God is serious business, take him seriously; he's put the earth in place and it's not moving.

31. வானங்கள் மகிழ்ந்து, பூமி பூரிப்பதாக; கர்த்தர் ராஜரிகம்பண்ணுகிறார் என்று ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே சொல்லப்படுவதாக.

31. So let heaven rejoice, let earth be jubilant, and pass the word among the nations, 'GOD reigns!'

32. சமுத்திரமும் அதின் நிறைவும் முழங்கி, நாடும் அதிலுள்ள யாவும் களிகூருவதாக.

32. Let Ocean, all teeming with life, bellow, let Field and all its creatures shake the rafters;

33. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகக் காட்டுவிருட்சங்களும் கெம்பீரிக்கும்; அவர் பூமியை நியாயந்தீர்க்க வருகிறார்.

33. Then the trees in the forest will add their applause to all who are pleased and present before GOD --he's on his way to set things right!

34. கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள், அவர் நல்லவர், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

34. Give thanks to GOD--he is good and his love never quits.

35. எங்கள் ரட்சிப்பின் தேவனே, நாங்கள் உமது பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைப் போற்றி, உம்மைத் துதிக்கிறதினால் மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படிக்கு, எங்களை இரட்சித்து, எங்களைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, ஜாதிகளுக்கு எங்களை நீங்கலாக்கியருளும் என்று சொல்லுங்கள்.

35. Say, 'Save us, Savior God, round us up and get us out of these godless places, So we can give thanks to your holy Name, and bask in your life of praise.'

36. இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு சதாகாலங்களிலும் ஸ்தோத்திரம் உண்டாவதாக; அதற்கு ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் ஆமென் என்று சொல்லிக் கர்த்தரைத் துதித்தார்கள்.

36. Blessed be GOD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Then everybody said, 'Yes! Amen!' and 'Praise GOD!'

37. பின்பு பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாக நித்தம் அன்றாடக முறையாய்ச் சேவிக்கும்படி, அவன் அங்கே கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாக ஆசாப்பையும், அவன் சகோதரரையும், ஓபேத்ஏதோமையும், அவர்களுடைய சகோதரராகிய அறுபத்தெட்டுப்பேரையும் வைத்து,

37. David left Asaph and his coworkers with the Chest of the Covenant of GOD and in charge of the work of worship; they were responsible for the needs of worship around the clock.

38. எதித்தூனின் குமாரனாகிய இந்த ஓபேத்ஏதோமையும் ஓசாவையும் வாசல்காக்கிறவர்களாக வைத்தான்.

38. He also assigned Obed-Edom and his sixty-eight relatives to help them. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun and Hosah were in charge of the security guards.

39. கிபியோனிலுள்ள மேட்டின்மேலிருக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய வாசஸ்தலத்திற்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிற சர்வாங்கதகன பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் சர்வாங்கதகனங்களை நித்தமும், அந்திசந்தியில், கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குக் கற்பித்த நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறபடியெல்லாம் கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்துவதற்காக,

39. The priest Zadok and his family of priests were assigned to the Tent of GOD at the sacred mound at Gibeon

40. அங்கே அவன் ஆசாரியனாகிய சாதோக்கையும், அவன் சகோதரராகிய ஆசாரியரையும் வைத்து,

40. to make sure that the services of morning and evening worship were conducted daily, complete with Whole-Burnt-Offerings offered on the Altar of Burnt Offering, as ordered in the Law of GOD, which was the norm for Israel.

41. இவர்களோடுங்கூட ஏமானையும், எதித்தூனையும், பேர்பேராகக் குறித்துத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட மற்றச் சிலரையும்: கர்த்தருடைய கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது என்று அவரைத் துதிக்கவும்,

41. With them were Heman, Jeduthun, and others specifically named, with the job description: 'Give thanks to GOD, for his love never quits!'

42. பூரிகைகளையும் கைத்தாளங்களையும் தேவனைப் பாடுகிறதற்குரிய கீதவாத்தியங்களையும் தொனிக்கச்செய்யவும் அவர்களுடன் ஏமானையும் எதித்தூனையும் வைத்து, எதித்தூனின் குமாரரை வாசல் காக்கிறவர்களாகக் கட்டளையிட்டான்.

42. Heman and Jeduthun were also well equipped with trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments for accompanying sacred songs. The sons of Jeduthun formed the security guard.

43. பின்பு ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் அவரவர் தங்கள் வீட்டிற்குப் போனார்கள்; தாவீதும் தன் வீட்டாரை ஆசீர்வதிக்கத்திரும்பினான்.

43. Arrangements completed, the people all left for home. And David went home to bless his family.
