1. அவர்கள் தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை உள்ளே கொண்டுவந்தபோது, தாவீது அதற்குப் போட்ட கூடாரத்தின் நடுவே அவர்கள் அதை வைத்து, தேவனுடைய சந்நிதியில் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும் சமாதானபலிகளையும் செலுத்தினார்கள்.

1. And they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before God.

2. தாவீது சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும் சமாதானபலிகளையும் செலுத்தித் தீர்ந்தபின்பு, அவன் ஜனத்தைக் கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்திலே ஆசீர்வதித்து,

2. And when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offering and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah.

3. புருஷர் தொடங்கி ஸ்திரீகள்மட்டும், இஸ்ரவேலராகிய அனைவருக்கும் அவரவருக்கு ஒவ்வொரு அப்பத்தையும், ஒவ்வொரு இறைச்சித் துண்டையும், ஒவ்வொருபடி திராட்சரசத்தையும் பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுத்தான்.

3. And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a portion [of flesh], and a cake of raisins.

4. இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைப் பிரஸ்தாபம்பண்ணித் துதித்துப் புகழுகிறதற்கு கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகச் சேவிக்கத்தக்க லேவியரில் சிலரை நியமித்தான்.

4. And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of Jehovah, and to celebrate and to thank and praise Jehovah, the God of Israel:

5. அவர்களில் ஆசாப் தலைவனும், சகரியா அவனுக்கு இரண்டாவதுமாயிருந்தான்; ஏயெல், செமிரமோத், யெகியேல், மத்தித்தியா, எலியாப், பெனாயா, ஓபேத்ஏதோம், ஏயெல் என்பவர்கள் தம்புரு சுரமண்டலம் என்னும் கீதவாத்தியங்களை வாசிக்கவும், ஆசாப் கைத்தாளங்களைக் கொட்டவும்,

5. Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with psalteries and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud;

6. பெனாயா, யாகாசியேல் என்னும் ஆசாரியர் எப்போதும் தேவனுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகப் பூரிகைகளை ஊதவும் நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.

6. and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.

7. அப்படி ஆரம்பித்த அந்நாளிலேதானே கர்த்தருக்குத் துதியாகப் பாடும்படி தாவீது ஆசாப்பிடத்திலும் அவன் சகோதரரிடத்திலும் கொடுத்த சங்கீதமாவது:

7. Then on that day did David first ordain to give thanks unto Jehovah, by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

8. கர்த்தரைத் துதித்து, அவருடைய நாமத்தைப் பிரஸ்தாபமாக்குங்கள்; அவருடைய செய்கைகளை ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே பிரசித்தப்படுத்துங்கள்.

8. O give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; Make known his doings among the peoples.

9. அவரைப் பாடி, அவரைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணி, அவருடைய அதியசங்களையெல்லாம் தியானித்துப் பேசுங்கள்.

9. Sing unto him, sing praises unto him; Talk ye of all his marvellous works.

10. அவருடைய பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைக்குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டுங்கள்; கர்த்தரைத் தேடுகிறவர்களின் இருதயம் மகிழ்வதாக.

10. Glory ye in his holy name; Let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.

11. கர்த்தரையும் அவர் வல்லமையையும் நாடுங்கள்; அவர் சமுகத்தை நித்தமும் தேடுங்கள்.

11. Seek ye Jehovah and his strength; Seek his face evermore.

12. அவருடைய தாசனாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின் சந்ததியே! அவரால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களாகிய யாக்கோபின் புத்திரரே!

12. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,

13. அவர் செய்த அதிசயங்களையும் அவருடைய அற்புதங்களையும் அவர் வாக்கின் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகளையும் நினைவுகூறுங்கள்.

13. O ye seed of Israel his servant, Ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

14. அவரே நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்; அவருடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகள் பூமியெங்கும் விளங்கும்.

14. He is Jehovah our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

15. ஆயிரந்தலைமுறைக்கென்று அவர் கட்டளையிட்ட வாக்கையும், ஆபிரகாமோடே அவர் பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையையும்,

15. Remember his covenant for ever, The word which he commanded to a thousand generations,

16. அவர் ஈசாக்குக்கு இட்ட ஆணையையும் என்றென்றைக்கும் நினைத்திருங்கள்.

16. [The covenant] which he made with Abraham, And his oath unto Isaac,

17. அதை யாக்கோபுக்குப் பிரமாணமாகவும், இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையாகவும் உறுதிப்படுத்தி:

17. And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel for an everlasting covenant,

18. உங்கள் சுதந்தரபாகமாக கானான் தேசத்தை உனக்குத் தருவேன் என்றார்.

18. Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance;

19. அக்காலத்தில் அவர்கள் கொஞ்சத்தொகைக்குட்பட்ட சொற்பஜனங்களும் பரதேசிகளுமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

19. When ye were but a few men in number, Yea, very few, and sojourners in it;

20. அவர்கள் ஒரு ஜனத்தை விட்டு மறு ஜனத்தண்டைக்கும், ஒரு ராஜ்யத்தை விட்டு மறு தேசத்தாரண்டைக்கும் போனார்கள்.

20. And they went about from nation to nation, And from one kingdom to another people.

21. அவர்களையொடுக்கும்படி ஒருவருக்கும் இடங்கொடாமல், அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் ராஜாக்களைக் கடிந்துகொண்டு:

21. He suffered no man to do them wrong; Yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,

22. நான் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினவர்களை நீங்கள் தொடாமலும், என்னுடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்குத் தீங்குசெய்யாமலும் இருங்கள் என்றார்.

22. [Saying], Touch not mine anointed ones, And do my prophets no harm.

23. பூமியின் சகல குடிகளே, கர்த்தரைப் பாடி, நாளுக்குநாள் அவருடைய ரட்சிப்பைச் சுவிசேஷமாய் அறிவியுங்கள்.

23. Sing unto Jehovah, all the earth; Show forth his salvation from day to day.

24. ஜாதிகளுக்குள் அவருடைய மகிமையையும், சகல ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளும் அவருடைய அதிசயங்களையும் விவரித்துச் சொல்லுங்கள்.

24. Declare his glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.

25. கர்த்தர் பெரியவரும் மிகவும் துதிக்கப்படத்தக்கவருமாயிருக்கிறார்; எல்லா தேவர்களிலும் பயப்படத்தக்கவர் அவரே.

25. For great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised: He also is to be feared above all gods.

26. சகல ஜனங்களுடைய தேவர்களும் விக்கிரகங்கள்தானே; கர்த்தரோ வானங்களை உண்டாக்கினவர்.

26. For all the gods of the peoples are idols: But Jehovah made the heavens.

27. மகிமையும் கனமும் அவர் சமுகத்தில் இருக்கிறது; வல்லமையும் மகிழ்ச்சியும் அவர் ஸ்தலத்தில் இருக்கிறது.

27. Honor and majesty are before him: Strength and gladness are in his place.

28. ஜனங்களின் வம்சங்களே, கர்த்தருக்கு மகிமையையும் வல்லமையையும் செலுத்துங்கள்; கர்த்தருக்கே அதைச் செலுத்துங்கள்.

28. Ascribe unto Jehovah, ye kindreds of the peoples, Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength;

29. கர்த்தருக்கு அவருடைய நாமத்திற்குரிய மகிமையைச் செலுத்தி, காணிக்கைகளைக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவருடைய சந்நிதியில் பிரவேசியுங்கள்; பரிசுத்த அலங்காரத்துடனே கர்த்தரைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுங்கள்.

29. Ascribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name: Bring an offering, and come before him: Worship Jehovah in holy array.

30. பூலோகத்தாரே, நீங்கள் யாவரும் அவருக்கு முன்பாக நடுங்குங்கள்; அவர் பூச்சக்கரத்தை அசையாதபடிக்கு உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறவர்.

30. Tremble before him, all the earth: The world also is established that it cannot be moved.

31. வானங்கள் மகிழ்ந்து, பூமி பூரிப்பதாக; கர்த்தர் ராஜரிகம்பண்ணுகிறார் என்று ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே சொல்லப்படுவதாக.

31. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, Jehovah reigneth.

32. சமுத்திரமும் அதின் நிறைவும் முழங்கி, நாடும் அதிலுள்ள யாவும் களிகூருவதாக.

32. Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; Let the field exult, and all that is therein;

33. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகக் காட்டுவிருட்சங்களும் கெம்பீரிக்கும்; அவர் பூமியை நியாயந்தீர்க்க வருகிறார்.

33. Then shall the trees of the wood sing for joy before Jehovah; For he cometh to judge the earth.

34. கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள், அவர் நல்லவர், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

34. O give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever.

35. எங்கள் ரட்சிப்பின் தேவனே, நாங்கள் உமது பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைப் போற்றி, உம்மைத் துதிக்கிறதினால் மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படிக்கு, எங்களை இரட்சித்து, எங்களைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, ஜாதிகளுக்கு எங்களை நீங்கலாக்கியருளும் என்று சொல்லுங்கள்.

35. And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us together and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks unto thy holy name, And to triumph in thy praise.

36. இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு சதாகாலங்களிலும் ஸ்தோத்திரம் உண்டாவதாக; அதற்கு ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் ஆமென் என்று சொல்லிக் கர்த்தரைத் துதித்தார்கள்.

36. Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and praised Jehovah.

37. பின்பு பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாக நித்தம் அன்றாடக முறையாய்ச் சேவிக்கும்படி, அவன் அங்கே கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாக ஆசாப்பையும், அவன் சகோதரரையும், ஓபேத்ஏதோமையும், அவர்களுடைய சகோதரராகிய அறுபத்தெட்டுப்பேரையும் வைத்து,

37. So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required;

38. எதித்தூனின் குமாரனாகிய இந்த ஓபேத்ஏதோமையும் ஓசாவையும் வாசல்காக்கிறவர்களாக வைத்தான்.

38. and Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;

39. கிபியோனிலுள்ள மேட்டின்மேலிருக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய வாசஸ்தலத்திற்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிற சர்வாங்கதகன பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் சர்வாங்கதகனங்களை நித்தமும், அந்திசந்தியில், கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குக் கற்பித்த நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறபடியெல்லாம் கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்துவதற்காக,

39. and Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of Jehovah in the high place that was at Gibeon,

40. அங்கே அவன் ஆசாரியனாகிய சாதோக்கையும், அவன் சகோதரராகிய ஆசாரியரையும் வைத்து,

40. to offer burnt-offerings unto Jehovah upon the altar of burnt-offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the law of Jehovah, which he commanded unto Israel;

41. இவர்களோடுங்கூட ஏமானையும், எதித்தூனையும், பேர்பேராகக் குறித்துத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட மற்றச் சிலரையும்: கர்த்தருடைய கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது என்று அவரைத் துதிக்கவும்,

41. and with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to Jehovah, because his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever;

42. பூரிகைகளையும் கைத்தாளங்களையும் தேவனைப் பாடுகிறதற்குரிய கீதவாத்தியங்களையும் தொனிக்கச்செய்யவும் அவர்களுடன் ஏமானையும் எதித்தூனையும் வைத்து, எதித்தூனின் குமாரரை வாசல் காக்கிறவர்களாகக் கட்டளையிட்டான்.

42. and with them Heman and Jeduthun [with] trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and [with] instruments for the songs of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate.

43. பின்பு ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் அவரவர் தங்கள் வீட்டிற்குப் போனார்கள்; தாவீதும் தன் வீட்டாரை ஆசீர்வதிக்கத்திரும்பினான்.

43. And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.
