1. சிநெயாரின் ராஜாவாகிய அம்ராப்பேலும், ஏலாசாரின் ராஜாவாகிய அரியோகும், ஏலாமின் ராஜாவாகிய கெதர்லா கோமேரும், ஜாதிகளின் ராஜாவாகிய திதியாலும் இருந்த நாட்களில்;

1. And in the dayes of Amraphel King of Shinar, Arioch King of Ellasar, Chedor-laomer King of Elam, and Tidal king of the nations:

2. அவர்கள் சோதோமின் ராஜாவாகிய பேராவோடும், கொமோராவின் ராஜாவாகிய பிர்சாவோடும், அத்மாவின் ராஜாவாகிய சிநெயாவோடும், செபோயீமின் ராஜாவாகிய செமேபரோடும், சோவார் என்னும் பேலாவின் ராஜாவோடும் யுத்தம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

2. These men made warre with Bera King of Sodom, and with Birsha King of Gomorah, Shinab King of Admah, and Shemeber King of Zeboiim, and the King of Bela, which is Zoar.

3. இவர்களெல்லாரும் உப்புக்கடலாகிய சித்தீம் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே கூடினார்கள்.

3. All these ioyned together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt Sea.

4. இவர்கள் பன்னிரண்டு வருஷம் கெதர்லாகோமேரைச் சேவித்து, பதின்மூன்றாம் வருஷத்திலே கலகம் பண்ணினார்கள்.

4. Twelue yeere were they subiect to Chedor-laomer, but in the thirteenth yeere they rebelled.

5. பதினாலாம் வருஷத்திலே கெதர்லாகோமேரும், அவனோடே கூடியிருந்த ராஜாக்களும் வந்து, அஸ்தரோத்கர்னாயீமிலே இருந்த ரெப்பாயீமியரையும், காமிலே இருந்த சூசிமியரையும், சாவேகீரியத்தாயீமிலே இருந்த ஏமியரையும்,

5. And in the fourteenth yeere came Chedor-laomer, and the Kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaueh Kiriathaim,

6. சேயீர் மலைகளில் இருந்த ஓரியரையும், வனாந்தரத்துக்கு அருகான எல்பாரான்மட்டும் முறியடித்து,

6. And the Horites in their mount Seir, vnto the plaine of Paran, which is by the wildernesse.

7. திரும்பிக் காதேஸ் என்னும் என்மிஸ்பாத்துக்கு வந்து, அமலேக்கியருடைய நாடனைத்தையும், அத்சாத்சோன் தாமாரிலே குடியிருந்த எமோரியரையும் கூடச் சங்கரித்தார்கள்.

7. And they returned and came to En-mishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the countrey of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites that dwelled in Hazezon-tamar.

8. அப்பொழுது சோதோமின் ராஜாவும், கொமோராவின் ராஜாவும், அத்மாவின் ராஜாவும், செபோயீமின் ராஜாவும், சோவார் என்னும் பேலாவின் ராஜாவும் புறப்பட்டுச் சித்தீம் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே,

8. Then went out the King of Sodom, and the King of Gomorah, and the King of Admah, and the King of Zeboiim, and the King of Bela, which is Zoar: and they ioyned battell with them in the vale of Siddim:

9. ஏலாமின் ராஜாவாகிய கெதர்லாகோமேரோடும், ஜாதிகளின் ராஜாவாகிய திதியாலோடும், சிநெயாரின் ராஜாவாகிய அம்ராப்பேலோடும், ஏலாசாரின் ராஜாவாகிய அரியோகோடும் யுத்தம்பண்ணப் புறப்பட்டு, அந்த ஐந்து ராஜாக்களோடும் இந்த நாலு ராஜாக்களும் யுத்தம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

9. To wit, with Chedor-laomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar: foure Kings against fiue.

10. அந்தச் சித்தீம் பள்ளத்தாக்கு எங்கும் நிலக்கீல் உண்டாகும் கேணிகள் இருந்தது. சோதோம் கொமோராவின் ராஜாக்கள் முறிந்தோடி அங்கே விழுந்தார்கள்; மீந்தவர்கள் மலைகளுக்கு ஓடிப்போனார்கள்.

10. Now the vale of Siddim was full of slime pits, and the Kings of Sodom and Gomorah fled and fell there: and ye residue fled to the mountaine.

11. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் சோதோமிலும் கோமோராவிலுமுள்ள பொருள்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும், போஜனபதார்த்தங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போய்விட்டார்கள்.

11. Then they tooke all the substance of Sodom and Gomorah, and al their vitailes and went their way.

12. ஆபிராமின் சகோதரனுடைய குமாரனாகிய லோத்து சோதோமிலே குடியிருந்தபடியால், அவனையும், அவன் பொருள்களையும் கொண்டுபோய்விட்டார்கள்.

12. They tooke Lot also Abrams brothers sonne and his substance (for he dwelt at Sodom) and departed.

13. தப்பியோடின ஒருவன் எபிரெயனாகிய ஆபிராமிடத்தில் வந்து அதை அறிவித்தான்; ஆபிராம் தன்னோடே உடன்படிக்கை செய்திருந்த மனிதராகிய எஸ்கோலுக்கும், ஆநேருக்கும் சகோதரனாகிய மம்ரே என்னும் எமோரியனுடைய சமபூமியிலே அப்பொழுது குடியிருந்தான்.

13. Then came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Ebrew, which dwelt in the plaine of Mamre ye Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner, which were confederat with Abram.

14. தன் சகோதரன் சிறையாகக் கொண்டுபோகப்பட்டதை ஆபிராம் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, அவன் தன் வீட்டிலே பிறந்த கைபடிந்தவர்களாகிய முந்நூற்றுப் பதினெட்டு ஆட்களுக்கும் ஆயுதம் தரிப்பித்து, தாண் என்னும் ஊர் மட்டும் அவர்களைத் தொடர்ந்து,

14. When Abram heard that his brother was taken, he brought forth of them that were borne and brought vp in his house, three hundreth and eighteene, and pursued them vnto Dan.

15. இராக்காலத்திலே அவனும், அவன் வேலைக்காரரும் பிரிந்து, பவிஞ்சுகளாய் அவர்கள்மேல் விழுந்து, அவர்களை முறியடித்து, தமஸ்குவுக்கு இடதுபுறமான ஓபாமட்டும் துரத்தி,

15. Then he, and his seruants deuided them selues against them by night, and smote them and pursued them vnto Hobah, which is on the left side of Damascus,

16. சகல பொருள்களையும் திருப்பிக்கொண்டுவந்தான்; தன் சகோதரனாகிய லோத்தையும், அவனுடைய பொருள்களையும், ஸ்திரீகளையும், ஜனங்களையும் திருப்பிக்கொண்டுவந்தான்.

16. And he recouered all the substance, and also brought againe his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also and the people.

17. அவன் கெதர்லாகோமேரையும், அவனோடிருந்த ராஜாக்களையும் முறியடித்துத் திரும்பிவருகிறபோது, சோதோமின் ராஜா புறப்பட்டு, ராஜாவின் பள்ளத்தாக்கு என்னும் சாவே பள்ளத்தாக்குமட்டும் அவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோனான்.
எபிரேயர் 7:1-3

17. After that he returned from the slaughter of Chedor-laomer, and of the Kings that were with him, came the King of Sodom foorth to meete him in the valley of Shaueh, which is the Kings dale.

18. அன்றியும், உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய ஆசாரியனாயிருந்த சாலேமின் ராஜாவாகிய மெல்கிசேதேக்கு அப்பமும் திராட்சரசமும் கொண்டுவந்து,

18. And Melchi-zedek King of Shalem brought foorth bread and wine: and he was a Priest of the most high God.

19. அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்து: வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் உடையவராகிய உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய ஆசீர்வாதம் ஆபிராமுக்கு உண்டாவதாக.

19. Therefore he blessed him, saying, Blessed art thou, Abram, of God most high possessour of heauen and earth,

20. உன் சத்துருக்களை உன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்த உன்னதமான தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் என்று சொன்னான். இவனுக்கு ஆபிராம் எல்லாவற்றிலும் தசமபாகம் கொடுத்தான்.

20. And blessed be the most high God, which hath deliuered thine enemies into thine hand. And Abram gaue him tythe of all.

21. சோதோமின் ராஜா ஆபிராமை நோக்கி: ஜனங்களை எனக்குத் தாரும், பொருள்களை நீர் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளும் என்றான்.

21. Then the King of Sodom saide to Abram, Giue me the persons, and take the goodes to thy selfe.

22. அதற்கு, ஆபிராம் சோதோமின் ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து; ஆபிராமை ஐசுவரியவனாக்கினேன் என்று நீர் சொல்லாதபடிக்கு நான் ஒரு சரட்டையாகிலும் பாதரட்சையின் வாரையாகிலும், உமக்கு உண்டானவைகளில் யாதொன்றையாகிலும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளேன் என்று,
வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 10:5

22. And Abram said to the King of Sodom, I haue lift vp mine hand vnto the Lord the most hie God possessor of heauen and earth,

23. வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் உடையவராகிய உன்னதமான தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு நேராக என் கையை உயர்த்துகிறேன்.

23. That I will not take of all that is thine, so much as a threde or shoolatchet, lest thou shouldest say, I haue made Abram riche,

24. வாலிபர் சாப்பிட்டதுபோக, என்னுடனே வந்த ஆநேர், எஸ்கோல், மம்ரே என்னும் புருஷருடைய பங்குமாத்திரமே வரவேண்டும்; இவர்கள் தங்கள் பங்கை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளட்டும் என்றான்.

24. Saue onely that, which the yong men haue eaten, and the partes of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre: let them take their partes.
