1. சிநெயாரின் ராஜாவாகிய அம்ராப்பேலும், ஏலாசாரின் ராஜாவாகிய அரியோகும், ஏலாமின் ராஜாவாகிய கெதர்லா கோமேரும், ஜாதிகளின் ராஜாவாகிய திதியாலும் இருந்த நாட்களில்;

1. And it chaunsed in the tyme of Amraphel the kynge of Synear, Arioch the kynge of Ellasar, Kedorlaomer the kinge of Elam, & Thy deal the kynge of ye Heithen,

2. அவர்கள் சோதோமின் ராஜாவாகிய பேராவோடும், கொமோராவின் ராஜாவாகிய பிர்சாவோடும், அத்மாவின் ராஜாவாகிய சிநெயாவோடும், செபோயீமின் ராஜாவாகிய செமேபரோடும், சோவார் என்னும் பேலாவின் ராஜாவோடும் யுத்தம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

2. That they made warre wt Bera ye kynge of Sodome, and wt Birsa the kynge of Gomorra, & with Sineab the kynge of Adama, & with Semeaber the kynge of Zeboim, and with the kynge of Bela, which is called Zoar.

3. இவர்களெல்லாரும் உப்புக்கடலாகிய சித்தீம் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே கூடினார்கள்.

3. These came all together in to the brode valley, where now the salt see is:

4. இவர்கள் பன்னிரண்டு வருஷம் கெதர்லாகோமேரைச் சேவித்து, பதின்மூன்றாம் வருஷத்திலே கலகம் பண்ணினார்கள்.

4. for twolue yeares were they subiectes vnto kinge Kedorlaomer, & in the thirtenth yeare they fell from him.

5. பதினாலாம் வருஷத்திலே கெதர்லாகோமேரும், அவனோடே கூடியிருந்த ராஜாக்களும் வந்து, அஸ்தரோத்கர்னாயீமிலே இருந்த ரெப்பாயீமியரையும், காமிலே இருந்த சூசிமியரையும், சாவேகீரியத்தாயீமிலே இருந்த ஏமியரையும்,

5. Therfore in the fourtenth yeare came Kedorlaomer, and the kynges yt were with him, & smote the Giauntes in Astaroth Karnaim, & Susim at Ham, & Emim in the felde of Kiriathaim,

6. சேயீர் மலைகளில் இருந்த ஓரியரையும், வனாந்தரத்துக்கு அருகான எல்பாரான்மட்டும் முறியடித்து,

6. and ye Horites in their owne mount Seir vnto the playne of Pharan, which bordreth vpo the wildernes.

7. திரும்பிக் காதேஸ் என்னும் என்மிஸ்பாத்துக்கு வந்து, அமலேக்கியருடைய நாடனைத்தையும், அத்சாத்சோன் தாமாரிலே குடியிருந்த எமோரியரையும் கூடச் சங்கரித்தார்கள்.

7. And then they turned, & came to the well of iudgment (which is Cades) & smote all the countre of the Amalechites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezon Thamar.

8. அப்பொழுது சோதோமின் ராஜாவும், கொமோராவின் ராஜாவும், அத்மாவின் ராஜாவும், செபோயீமின் ராஜாவும், சோவார் என்னும் பேலாவின் ராஜாவும் புறப்பட்டுச் சித்தீம் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே,

8. Then wente out the kynge of Sodome, & the kynge of Gomorra, & the kynge of Adama, and the kynge of Zeboim, and the kynge of Bela (called Zoar) & prepared them selues to fight in the brode valley

9. ஏலாமின் ராஜாவாகிய கெதர்லாகோமேரோடும், ஜாதிகளின் ராஜாவாகிய திதியாலோடும், சிநெயாரின் ராஜாவாகிய அம்ராப்பேலோடும், ஏலாசாரின் ராஜாவாகிய அரியோகோடும் யுத்தம்பண்ணப் புறப்பட்டு, அந்த ஐந்து ராஜாக்களோடும் இந்த நாலு ராஜாக்களும் யுத்தம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

9. wt Kedorlaomer the kynge of Elam, & with Thideal ye kynge of the Heithen, & with Amraphel ye kynge of Synear, & with Arioch the kynge of Ellasar: foure kynges wt fyue.

10. அந்தச் சித்தீம் பள்ளத்தாக்கு எங்கும் நிலக்கீல் உண்டாகும் கேணிகள் இருந்தது. சோதோம் கொமோராவின் ராஜாக்கள் முறிந்தோடி அங்கே விழுந்தார்கள்; மீந்தவர்கள் மலைகளுக்கு ஓடிப்போனார்கள்.

10. And yt brode valley had many slyme pyttes. But the kynge of Sodoma and Gomorra were put to flight, & fell there, & the residue fled vnto ye mountaynes.

11. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் சோதோமிலும் கோமோராவிலுமுள்ள பொருள்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும், போஜனபதார்த்தங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போய்விட்டார்கள்.

11. Then toke they all the goodes at Sodoma and Gomorra, & all their vytales, & wente their waye.

12. ஆபிராமின் சகோதரனுடைய குமாரனாகிய லோத்து சோதோமிலே குடியிருந்தபடியால், அவனையும், அவன் பொருள்களையும் கொண்டுபோய்விட்டார்கள்.

12. They toke Lot also Abrams brothers sonne, & his good (for he dwelt at Sodome) and departed.

13. தப்பியோடின ஒருவன் எபிரெயனாகிய ஆபிராமிடத்தில் வந்து அதை அறிவித்தான்; ஆபிராம் தன்னோடே உடன்படிக்கை செய்திருந்த மனிதராகிய எஸ்கோலுக்கும், ஆநேருக்கும் சகோதரனாகிய மம்ரே என்னும் எமோரியனுடைய சமபூமியிலே அப்பொழுது குடியிருந்தான்.

13. Then came one that had escaped, and tolde Abram the Aleaunt, which dwelt in the Okegroue of Mamre the Amoryte, which was the brother of Escol & Aner: for these were confederate with Abram.

14. தன் சகோதரன் சிறையாகக் கொண்டுபோகப்பட்டதை ஆபிராம் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, அவன் தன் வீட்டிலே பிறந்த கைபடிந்தவர்களாகிய முந்நூற்றுப் பதினெட்டு ஆட்களுக்கும் ஆயுதம் தரிப்பித்து, தாண் என்னும் ஊர் மட்டும் அவர்களைத் தொடர்ந்து,

14. Now whan Abram herde yt his brother was taken, he harnessed his bonde seruauntes borne in his owne house, thre hundreth & eightene, & folowed after them vntill Dan,

15. இராக்காலத்திலே அவனும், அவன் வேலைக்காரரும் பிரிந்து, பவிஞ்சுகளாய் அவர்கள்மேல் விழுந்து, அவர்களை முறியடித்து, தமஸ்குவுக்கு இடதுபுறமான ஓபாமட்டும் துரத்தி,

15. & deuyded the, & fell vpo them by night wt his seruauntes, and smote the, and chased them awaye vnto Hoba, which lieth on ye left hande of the cite of Damascos,

16. சகல பொருள்களையும் திருப்பிக்கொண்டுவந்தான்; தன் சகோதரனாகிய லோத்தையும், அவனுடைய பொருள்களையும், ஸ்திரீகளையும், ஜனங்களையும் திருப்பிக்கொண்டுவந்தான்.

16. and brought agayne all the goodes, and also his brother Lot, and his goodes, ye wemen also and the people.

17. அவன் கெதர்லாகோமேரையும், அவனோடிருந்த ராஜாக்களையும் முறியடித்துத் திரும்பிவருகிறபோது, சோதோமின் ராஜா புறப்பட்டு, ராஜாவின் பள்ளத்தாக்கு என்னும் சாவே பள்ளத்தாக்குமட்டும் அவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோனான்.

17. And as he came agayne from the slaughter of Kedorlaomer & of the kinges that were with him, the kynge of Sodome wente to mete him in to the playne felde, which is called kynges dale.

18. அன்றியும், உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய ஆசாரியனாயிருந்த சாலேமின் ராஜாவாகிய மெல்கிசேதேக்கு அப்பமும் திராட்சரசமும் கொண்டுவந்து,

18. But Melchisedech the kynge of Salem brought forth bred and wyne. And he beynge the prest of the most hye God,

19. அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்து: வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் உடையவராகிய உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய ஆசீர்வாதம் ஆபிராமுக்கு உண்டாவதாக.

19. blessed him and sayde: Blessed be thou Abram vnto the most hye God possessor of heauen and earth.

20. உன் சத்துருக்களை உன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்த உன்னதமான தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் என்று சொன்னான். இவனுக்கு ஆபிராம் எல்லாவற்றிலும் தசமபாகம் கொடுத்தான்.

20. And praysed be God the Hyest, which hath delyuered thine enemies in to thy handes. And Abram gaue him tythes of all.

21. சோதோமின் ராஜா ஆபிராமை நோக்கி: ஜனங்களை எனக்குத் தாரும், பொருள்களை நீர் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளும் என்றான்.

21. Then sayde the kynge of Sodome vnto Abram: Geue me the soules, and take ye goodes vnto thy self.

22. அதற்கு, ஆபிராம் சோதோமின் ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து; ஆபிராமை ஐசுவரியவனாக்கினேன் என்று நீர் சொல்லாதபடிக்கு நான் ஒரு சரட்டையாகிலும் பாதரட்சையின் வாரையாகிலும், உமக்கு உண்டானவைகளில் யாதொன்றையாகிலும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளேன் என்று,
வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 10:5

22. But Abram sayde vnto the kinge of Sodome: I lift vp my honde vnto the LORDE the most hye God, possessor of heauen and earth,

23. வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் உடையவராகிய உன்னதமான தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு நேராக என் கையை உயர்த்துகிறேன்.

23. that I wyll not take of all that is thyne, so moch as a threde or a shue lachet, lest thou shuldest saye: I haue made Abram ryche:

24. வாலிபர் சாப்பிட்டதுபோக, என்னுடனே வந்த ஆநேர், எஸ்கோல், மம்ரே என்னும் புருஷருடைய பங்குமாத்திரமே வரவேண்டும்; இவர்கள் தங்கள் பங்கை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளட்டும் என்றான்.

24. Saue onely that which the yonge men haue spent, and the men Aner Escol and Mamre, that wente with me, let them take their parte.
