1. தேவனுடைய மனுஷனாகிய மோசே தான் மரணமடையுமுன்னே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை ஆசீர்வதித்த ஆசீர்வாதமாவது:

1. And this [is] the blessing [with] which Moses the man of God blessed the sons of Israel before his death,

2. கர்த்தர் சீனாயிலிருந்து எழுந்தருளி, சேயீரிலிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு உதயமானார்; பாரான் மலையிலிருந்து பிரகாசித்து, பதினாயிரங்களான பரிசுத்தவான்களோடே பிரசன்னமானார்; அவர்களுக்காக அக்கினிமயமான பிரமாணம் அவருடைய வலதுகரத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டது.

2. and he saith: -- 'Jehovah from Sinai hath come, And hath risen from Seir for them; He hath shone from mount Paran, And hath come [with] myriads of holy ones; At His right hand [are] springs for them.

3. Also He [is] loving the peoples; All His holy ones [are] in thy hand, And they -- they sat down at thy foot, [Each] He lifteth up at thy words.

4. A law hath Moses commanded us, A possession of the assembly of Jacob.

5. And he is in Jeshurun king, In the heads of the people gathering together, The tribes of Israel!

6. Let Reuben live, and not die, And let his men be a number.

7. அவன் யூதாவைக்குறித்து: கர்த்தாவே, யூதாவின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டு, அவன் தன் ஜனத்தோடே திரும்பச்சேரப்பண்ணும்; அவன் கை பலக்கக்கடவது; அவனுடைய சத்துருக்களுக்கு அவனை நீங்கலாக்கி விடுவிக்கிற சகாயராயிருப்பீராக என்றான்.

7. And this [is] for Judah; and he saith: -- Hear, O Jehovah, the voice of Judah, And unto his people do Thou bring him in; His hand hath striven for him, And an help from his adversaries art Thou.

8. லேவியரைக்குறித்து: நீ மாசாவிலே பரீட்சைபார்த்து, மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீரிடத்தில் வாக்குவாதம்பண்ணின உன் பரிசுத்த புருஷன் வசமாய் உன்னுடைய தும்மீம் ஊரீம் என்பவைகள் இருப்பதாக.

8. And of Levi he said: -- Thy Thummim and thy Urim [are] for thy pious one, Whom Thou hast tried in Massah, Thou dost strive with Him at the waters of Meribah;

9. தன் தகப்பனுக்கும் தன் தாய்க்கும்: நீ உங்களைப் பாரேன் என்று சொல்லி, தன் சகோதரரை அங்கிகரியாமல், தன் பிள்ளைகளையும் அறியாமலிருக்கிறவன் வசமாய் அவைகள் இருப்பதாக; அவர்கள் உம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு, உம்முடைய உடன்படிக்கையைக் காக்கிறவர்கள்.

9. Who is saying of his father and his mother, I have not seen him; And his brethren he hath not discerned, And his sons he hath not known; For they have observed Thy saying, And Thy covenant they keep.

10. அவர்கள் யாக்கோபுக்கு உம்முடைய நியாயங்களையும், இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு உம்முடைய பிரமாணத்தையும் போதித்து, உமது சந்நிதானத்திலே தூபவர்க்கத்தையும், உமது பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும் இடுவார்கள்.

10. They teach Thy judgments to Jacob, And Thy law to Israel; They put perfume in Thy nose, And whole burnt-offering on Thine altar.

11. கர்த்தாவே, அவன் சம்பத்தை ஆசீர்வதித்து, அவன் கைக்கிரியையின்மேல் பிரியமாயிரும்; அவனைப் பகைத்து அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறவர்கள் திரும்ப எழுந்திராதபடி அவர்களுடைய இடுப்புகளை நொறுக்கிவிடும் என்றான்.

11. Bless, O Jehovah, his strength, And the work of his hands Thou acceptest, Smite the loins of his withstanders, And of those hating him -- that they rise not!

12. பென்யமீனைக்குறித்து: கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரியமானவன், அவரோடே சுகமாய்த் தங்கியிருப்பான்; அவனை எந்நாளும் அவர் காப்பாற்றி, அவன் எல்லைக்குள்ளே வாசமாயிருப்பார் என்றான்.

12. Of Benjamin he said: -- The beloved of Jehovah doth tabernacle confidently by him, Covering him over all the day; Yea, between his shoulders He doth tabernacle.

13. யோசேப்பைக்குறித்து: கர்த்தரால் அவனுடைய தேசம் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவதாக; அது வானத்தின் செல்வத்தினாலும், பனியினாலும், ஆழத்திலுள்ள நீரூற்றுகளினாலும்,

13. And of Joseph he said: -- Blessed of Jehovah [is] his land, By precious things of the heavens, By dew, and by the deep crouching beneath,

14. சூரியன் பக்குவப்படுத்தும் அருமையான கனிகளினாலும், சந்திரன் பக்குவப்படுத்தும் அருமையான பலன்களினாலும்,

14. And by precious things -- fruits of the sun, And by precious things -- cast forth by the moons,

15. ஆதிபர்வதங்களில் உண்டாகும் திரவியங்களினாலும், நித்திய மலைகளில் பிறக்கும் அரும்பொருள்களினாலும்,

15. And by chief things -- of the ancient mountains, And by precious things -- of the age-during heights,

16. நாடும் அதின் நிறைவும் கொடுக்கும் அருமையான தானியங்களினாலும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவதாக. முட்செடியில் எழுந்தருளினவரின் தயை யோசேப்புடைய சிரசின்மேலும், தன் சகோதரரில் விசேஷித்தவனுடைய உச்சந்தலையின்மேலும் வருவதாக.

16. And by precious things -- of earth and its fulness, And the good pleasure Of Him who is dwelling in the bush, -- Let it come for the head of Joseph, And for the crown of him Who is separate from his brethren.

17. அவன் அலங்காரம் அவன் தலையீற்றுக் காளையினுடைய அலங்காரத்தைப்போலவும், அவன் கொம்புகள் காண்டாமிருகத்தின் கொம்புகளைப்போலவும் இருக்கும்; அவைகளாலே ஜனங்களை ஏகமாய் தேசத்தின் கடையாந்தரங்கள் மட்டும் முட்டித் துரத்துவான்; அவைகள் எப்பிராயீமின் பதினாயிரங்களும் மனாசேயின் ஆயிரங்களுமானவைகள் என்றான்.

17. His honour [is] a firstling of his ox, And his horns [are] horns of a reem; By them peoples he doth push together To the ends of earth; And they [are] the myriads of Ephraim, And they [are] the thousands of Manasseh.

18. செபுலோனைக்குறித்து: செபுலோனே, நீ வெளியே புறப்பட்டுப்போகையிலும், இசக்காரே, நீ உன் கூடாரங்களில் தங்குகையிலும் சந்தோஷமாயிரு.

18. And of Zebulun he said: -- Rejoice, O Zebulun, in thy going out, And, O Issachar, in thy tents;

19. ஜனங்களை அவர்கள் மலையின்மேல் வரவழைத்து, அங்கே நீதியின் பலிகளை இடுவார்கள்; கடல்களிலுள்ள சம்பூரணத்தையும் மணலுக்குள்ளே மறைந்திருக்கும் பொருள்களையும் அநுபவிப்பார்கள் என்றான்.

19. Peoples [to] the mountain they call, There they sacrifice righteous sacrifices; For the abundance of the seas they suck, And hidden things hidden in the sand.

20. காத்தைக்குறித்து: காத்துக்கு விஸ்தாரமான இடத்தைக் கொடுக்கிறவர் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்பட்டவர்; அவன் சிங்கத்தைப்போல் தங்கியிருந்து, புயத்தையும் உச்சந்தலையையும் பீறிப்போடுவான்.

20. And of Gad he said: -- Blessed of the Enlarger [is] Gad, As a lioness he doth tabernacle, And hath torn the arm -- also the crown!

21. அவன் தனக்காக முதல் இடத்தைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டான்; அங்கே தனக்கு நியாயப்பிரமாணிகன் கொடுத்த பங்கு பத்திரமாயிருக்கிறது; ஆனாலும் அவன் ஜனத்தின் முன்னணியாய் வந்து, மற்ற இஸ்ரவேலுடனே கர்த்தரின் நீதியையும் அவருடைய நியாயங்களையும் நடப்பிப்பான் என்றான்.

21. And he provideth the first part for himself, For there the portion of the lawgiver is covered, And he cometh [with] the heads of the people; The righteousness of Jehovah he hath done, And His judgments with Israel.

22. தாணைக்குறித்து: தாண் ஒரு பாலசிங்கம், அவன் பாசானிலிருந்து பாய்வான் என்றான்.

22. And of Dan he said: -- Dan [is] a lion's whelp; he doth leap from Bashan.

23. நப்தலியைக்குறித்து: நப்தலி கர்த்தருடைய தயவினாலே திருப்தியடைந்து, அவருடைய ஆசீர்வாதத்தினாலே நிறைந்திருப்பான். நீ மேற்றிசையையும் தென்திசையையும் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள் என்றான்.

23. And of Naphtali he said: -- O Naphtali, satisfied with pleasure, And full of the blessing of Jehovah, West and south possess thou.

24. ஆசேரைக்குறித்து: ஆசேர் புத்திர பாக்கியமுடையவனாய், தன் சகோதரருக்குப் பிரியமாயிருந்து, தன் காலை எண்ணெயிலே தோய்ப்பான்.

24. And of Asher he said: -- Blessed with sons [is] Asher, Let him be accepted by his brethren, And dipping in oil his foot.

25. இரும்பும் வெண்கலமும் உன் பாதரட்சையின் கீழிருக்கும்; உன் நாட்களுக்குத்தக்கதாய் உன் பெலனும் இருக்கும் என்றான்.

25. Iron and brass [are] thy shoes, And as thy days -- thy strength.

26. யெஷூரனுடைய தேவனைப்போல் ஒருவரும் இல்லை; அவர் உனக்குச் சகாயமாய் வானங்களின்மேலும் தமது மாட்சிமையோடு ஆகாய மண்டலங்களின் மேலும் ஏறிவருகிறார்.

26. There is none like the God of Jeshurun, Riding the heavens in thy help, And in His excellency the skies.

27. அநாதி தேவனே உனக்கு அடைக்கலம்; அவருடைய நித்திய புயங்கள் உனக்கு ஆதாரம்; அவர் உனக்கு முன்னின்று சத்துருக்களைத் துரத்தி, அவர்களை அழித்துப்போடு என்று கட்டளையிடுவார்.

27. A habitation [is] the eternal God, And beneath [are] arms age-during. And He casteth out from thy presence the enemy, and saith, 'Destroy!'

28. இஸ்ரவேல் சுகமாய்த் தனித்து வாசம்பண்ணுவான்; யாக்கோபின் ஊற்றானது தானியமும் திராட்சரசமுமுள்ள தேசத்திலே இருக்கும்; அவருடைய வானமும் பனியைப் பெய்யும்.

28. And Israel doth tabernacle [in] confidence alone; The eye of Jacob [is] unto a land of corn and wine; Also His heavens drop down dew.

29. இஸ்ரவேலே, நீ பாக்கியவான்; கர்த்தரால் ரட்சிக்கப்பட்ட ஜனமே, உனக்கு ஒப்பானவன் யார்? உனக்குச் சகாயஞ்செய்யும் கேடகமும் உனக்கு மகிமை பொருந்திய பட்டயமும் அவரே; உன் சத்துருக்கள் உனக்கு இச்சகம் பேசி அடங்குவார்கள்; அவர்கள் மேடுகளை மிதிப்பாய், என்று சொன்னான்.

29. O thy happiness, O Israel! who is like thee? A people saved by Jehovah, The shield of thy help, And He who [is] the sword of thine excellency: And thine enemies are subdued for thee, And thou on their high places dost tread.'
