1. மோசே ஆரோன் என்பவர்களுடைய கையின்கீழ்த் தங்கள்தங்கள் சேனைகளின்படியே எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய பிரயாணங்களின் விபரம்:

1. These [are] journeys of the sons of Israel who have come out of the land of Egypt, by their hosts, by the hand of Moses and Aaron;

2. மோசே தனக்குக் கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே அவர்கள் புறப்பட்ட பிரகாரமாக அவர்களுடைய பிரயாணங்களை எழுதினான்; அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொரு இடங்களிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்பண்ணின பிரயாணங்களாவன:

2. and Moses writeth their outgoings, by their journeys, by the command of Jehovah; and these [are] their journeys, by their outgoings:

3. முதலாம் மாதத்தின் பதினைந்தாம் தேதியிலே அவர்கள் ராமசேசை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டார்கள்; பஸ்காவுக்கு மறுநாளிலே, எகிப்தியர் எல்லாரும் பார்க்க, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் பெலத்தகையுடன் புறப்பட்டார்கள்.

3. And they journey from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the morrow of the passover have the sons of Israel gone out with a high hand, before the eyes of all the Egyptians --

4. அப்பொழுது எகிப்தியர் கர்த்தர் தங்களுக்குள்ளே சங்கரித்த தலைச்சன் பிள்ளைகளையெல்லாம் அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அவர்கள் தேவர்களின் பேரிலும் கர்த்தர் நீதிசெலுத்தினார்.

4. and the Egyptians are burying those whom Jehovah hath smitten among them, every first-born, and on their gods hath Jehovah done judgments --

5. பின்பு இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் ராமசேசிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், சுக்கோத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

5. and the sons of Israel journey from Rameses, and encamp in Succoth.

6. சுக்கோத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், வனாந்தரத்தின் எல்லையிலிருக்கிற ஏத்தாமிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

6. And they journey from Succoth, and encamp in Etham, which [is] in the extremity of the wilderness;

7. ஏத்தாமிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், பாகால்செபோனுக்கு எதிராக இருக்கிற ஈரோத் பள்ளத்தாக்கின் முன்னடிக்குத் திரும்பி, மிக்தோலுக்கு முன்பாகப் பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

7. and they journey from Etham, and turn back on Pi-Hahiroth, which [is] on the front of Baal-Zephon, and they encamp before Migdol.

8. ஈரோத்தை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, சமுத்திரத்தை நடுவாகக் கடந்து வனாந்தரத்திற்குப் போய், ஏத்தாம் வனாந்தரத்திலே மூன்று நாள் பிரயாணம்பண்ணி, மாராவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

8. And they journey from Pi-Hahiroth, and pass over through the midst of the sea, into the wilderness, and go a journey of three days in the wilderness of Etham, and encamp in Marah.

9. மாராவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, ஏலிமுக்குப் போனார்கள்; ஏலிமிலே பன்னிரண்டு நீரூற்றுகளும் எழுபது பேரீச்சமரங்களும் இருந்தது; அங்கே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

9. And they journey from Marah, and come in to Elim, and in Elim [are] twelve fountains of waters, and seventy palm trees, and they encamp there;

10. ஏலிமிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தின் அருகே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

10. and they journey from Elim, and encamp by the Red Sea.

11. சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தை விட்டுப் பறப்பட்டுப்போய், சீன் வனாந்தரத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

11. And they journey from the Red Sea, and encamp in the wilderness of Sin;

12. சீன் வனாந்தரத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், தொப்காவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

12. and they journey from the wilderness of Sin, and encamp in Dophkah.

13. தொப்காவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப் போய், ஆலூசிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

13. And they journey from Dophkah, and encamp in Alush;

14. ஆலூசிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், ரெவிதீமிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள். அங்கே ஜனங்களுக்குக் குடிக்கத் தண்ணீர் இல்லாதிருந்தது.

14. and they journey from Alush, and encamp in Rephidim; and there was there no water for the people to drink.

15. ரெவிதீமிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

15. And they journey from Rephidim, and encamp in the wilderness of Sinai;

16. சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், கிப்ரோத் அத்தாவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

16. and they journey from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamp in Kibroth-Hattaavah.

17. கிப்ரோத் அத்தாவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், ஆஸரோத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

17. And they journey from Kibroth-Hattaavah, and encamp in Hazeroth;

18. ஆஸரோத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், ரித்மாவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

18. and they journey from Hazeroth, and encamp in Rithmah.

19. ரித்மாவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், ரிம்மோன்பேரேசிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

19. And they journey from Rithmah, and encamp in Rimmon-Parez;

20. ரிம்மோன்பேரேசிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், லிப்னாவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

20. and they journey from Rimmon-Parez, and encamp in Libnah.

21. லிப்னாவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், ரீசாவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

21. And they journey from Libnah, and encamp in Rissah;

22. ரீசாவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், கேலத்தாவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

22. and they journey from Rissah, and encamp in Kehelathah.

23. கேலத்தாவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், சாப்பேர் மலையிலே பாளமிறங்கினார்கள்.

23. And they journey from Kehelathah, and encamp in mount Shapher;

24. சாப்பேர் மலையிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், ஆரதாவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

24. and they journey from mount Shapher, and encamp in Haradah.

25. ஆரதாவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், மக்கெலோத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

25. And they journey from Haradah, and encamp in Makheloth;

26. மக்கெலோத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், தாகாத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

26. and they journey from Makheloth, and encamp in Tahath.

27. தாகாத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், தாராகிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

27. And they journey from Tahath, and encamp in Tarah;

28. தாராகிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், மித்காவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

28. and they journey from Tarah, and encamp in Mithcah.

29. மித்காவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், அஸ்மோனாவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

29. And they journey from Mithcah, and encamp in Hashmonah;

30. அஸ்மோனாவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், மோசெரோத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

30. and they journey from Hashmonah, and encamp in Moseroth.

31. மோசெரோத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், பெனெயாக்கானிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

31. And they journey from Moseroth, and encamp in Bene-Jaakan;

32. பெனெயாக்கானிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், கித்காத் மலையிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

32. and they journey from Bene-Jaakan, and encamp at Hor-Hagidgad.

33. கித்காத் மலையிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், யோத்பாத்தாவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

33. And they journey from Hor-Hagidgad, and encamp in Jotbathah;

34. யோத்பாத்தாவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், எப்ரோனாவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

34. and they journey from Jotbathah, and encamp in Ebronah.

35. எப்ரோனாவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், எசியோன் கேபேரிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

35. And they journey from Ebronah, and encamp in Ezion-Gaber;

36. எசியோன் கேபேரிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், காதேசாகிய சீன் வனாந்தரத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

36. and they journey from Ezion-Gaber, and encamp in the wilderness of Zin, which [is] Kadesh.

37. காதேசிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், ஏதோம் தேசத்தின் எல்லையிலிருக்கிற ஓர் என்னும் மலையிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

37. And they journey from Kadesh, and encamp in mount Hor, in the extremity of the land of Edom.

38. அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியனாகிய ஆரோன் கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளையின்படியே ஓர் என்னும் மலையின்மேல் ஏறி, அங்கே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட நாற்பதாம் வருஷம் ஐந்தாம் மாதம் முதல் தேதியிலே மரணமடைந்தான்.

38. And Aaron the priest goeth up unto mount Hor, by the command of Jehovah, and dieth there, in the fortieth year of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month;

39. ஆரோன் ஓர் என்னும் மலையிலே மரணமடைந்தபோது, நூற்றிருபத்து மூன்று வயதாயிருந்தான்.

39. and Aaron [is] a son of a hundred and twenty and three years in his dying in mount Hor.

40. அந்நாட்களிலே கானான் தேசத்தின் தென்திசையில் குடியிருந்த கானானியனாகிய ஆராத் என்னும் ராஜா இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் வருகிறதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டான்.

40. And the Canaanite -- king Arad -- who is dwelling in the south, in the land of Canaan, heareth of the coming of the sons of Israel.

41. ஓர் என்னும் மலையை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், சல்மோனாவிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

41. And they journey from mount Hor, and encamp in Zalmonah;

42. சல்மோனாவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், பூனோனிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

42. and they journey from Zalmonah, and encamp in Punon.

43. பூனோனிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், ஓபோத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

43. And they journey from Punon, and encamp in Oboth;

44. ஓபோத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், மோவாபின் எல்லையிலுள்ள அபாரிமீன் மேடுகளிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

44. and they journey from Oboth, and encamp in Ije-Abarim, in the border of Moab.

45. அந்த மேடுகளை விட்டுப்பறப்பட்டுப்போய், தீபோன்காத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

45. And they journey from Iim, and encamp in Dibon-Gad;

46. தீபோன்காத்திலிருந்து புறப்புட்டுப்போய், அல்மோன் திப்லத்தாயிமிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

46. and they journey from Dibon-Gad, and encamp in Almon-Diblathaim.

47. அல்மோன் திப்லத்தாயிமிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், நேபோவுக்கு எதிரான அபாரீம் மலைகளிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

47. And they journey from Almon-Diblathaim, and encamp in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo;

48. அபாரீம் மலைகளிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், எரிகோவின் அருகே யோர்தானைச்சார்ந்த மோவாபின் சமனான வெளிகளிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

48. and they journey from the mountains of Abarim, and encamp in the plains of Moab, by Jordan, [near] Jericho.

49. யோர்தானைச் சார்ந்த மோவாபின் சமனான வெளிகளில் அவர்கள் பெத்யெசிமோத்தைத் தொடங்கி, ஆபேல் சித்தீம்மட்டும் பாளயமிறங்கியிருந்தார்கள்.

49. And they encamp by the Jordan from Beth-Jeshimoth, unto Abel-Shittim, in the plains of Moab.

50. எரிகோவின் அருகே யோர்தானைச் சார்ந்த மோவாபின் சமனான வெளிகளிலே கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

50. And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, in the plains of Moab, by Jordan, [near] Jericho, saying,

51. நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: நீங்கள் யோர்தானைக் கடந்து, கானான்தேசத்தில் போய்ச் சேரும்போது,

51. 'Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When ye are passing over the Jordan unto the land of Canaan,

52. அத்தேசத்துக் குடிகளையெல்லாம் உங்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்திவிட்டு, அவர்களுடைய எல்லாச் சிலைகளையும் வார்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட அவர்களுடைய எல்லா விக்கிரகங்களையும் அழித்து, அவர்கள் மேடைகளையெல்லாம் நிர்மூலமாக்கி,

52. then ye have dispossessed all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and have destroyed all their imagery, yea, all their molten images ye destroy, and all their high places ye lay waste,

53. தேசத்திலுள்ளவர்களைத் துரத்திவிட்டு, அதிலே குடியிருக்கக்கடவீர்கள்; அந்த தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்படி அதை உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தேன்.

53. and ye have possessed the land, and dwelt in it, for to you I have given the land -- to possess it.

54. சீட்டுப்போட்டு, தேசத்தை உங்கள் குடும்பங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரங்களாகப் பங்கிட்டு, அதிக ஜனங்களுக்கு அதிக சுதந்தரமும், கொஞ்ச ஜனங்களுக்குக் கொஞ்சச் சுதந்தரமும் கொடுக்கக்கடவீர்கள்; அவரவர்க்குச் சீட்டு விழும் இடம் எதுவோ, அவ்விடம் அவரவர்க்கு உரியதாகும்; உங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய கோத்திரங்களின்படியே சுதந்தரம் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளக்கடவீர்கள்.

54. 'And ye have inherited the land by lot, by your families; to the many ye increase their inheritance, and to the few ye diminish their inheritance; whither the lot goeth out to him, it is his; by the tribes of your fathers ye inherit.

55. நீங்கள் தேசத்தின் குடிகளை உங்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்திவிடாமலிருப்பீர்களானால், அப்பொழுது அவர்களில் நீங்கள் மீதியாக வைக்கிறவர்கள் உங்கள் கண்களில் முள்ளுகளும் உங்கள் விலாக்களிலே கூர்களுமாயிருந்து, நீங்கள் குடியிருக்கிற தேசத்திலே உங்களை உபத்திரவப்படுத்துவார்கள்.

55. 'And if ye do not dispossess the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it hath been, those whom ye let remain of them, [are] for pricks in your eyes, and for thorns in your sides, and they have distressed you on the land in which ye are dwelling,

56. அன்றியும், நான் அவர்களுக்குச் செய்ய நினைத்ததை உங்களுக்குச் செய்வேன் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

56. and it hath come to pass, as I thought to do to them -- I do to you.'
