8. Let me hear the sounds of joy and gladness; and though you have crushed me and broken me, I will be happy once again.

9. என் பாவங்களைப் பாராதபடிக்கு நீர் உமது முகத்தை மறைத்து, என் அக்கிரமங்களையெல்லாம் நீக்கியருளும்.

9. Close your eyes to my sins and wipe out all my evil.

10. தேவனே, சுத்த இருதயத்தை என்னிலே சிருஷ்டியும், நிலைவரமான ஆவியை என் உள்ளத்திலே புதுப்பியும்.

10. Create a pure heart in me, O God, and put a new and loyal spirit in me.

11. உமது சமுகத்தை விட்டு என்னைத் தள்ளாமலும், உமது பரிசுத்த ஆவியை என்னிடத்திலிருந்து எடுத்துக்கொள்ளாமலும் இரும்.

11. Do not banish me from your presence; do not take your holy spirit away from me.

12. உமது இரட்சணியத்தின் சந்தோஷத்தைத் திரும்பவும் எனக்குத் தந்து, உற்சாகமான ஆவி என்னைத் தாங்கும்படி செய்யும்.

12. Give me again the joy that comes from your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.

13. அப்பொழுது பாதகருக்கு உமது வழிகளை உபதேசிப்பேன்; பாவிகள் உம்மிடத்தில் மனந்திரும்புவார்கள்.

13. Then I will teach sinners your commands, and they will turn back to you.

14. தேவனே, என்னை இரட்சிக்குந்தேவனே, இரத்தப்பழிகளுக்கு என்னை நீங்கலாக்கிவிடும்; அப்பொழுது என் நாவு உம்முடைய நீதியைக் கெம்பீரமாய்ப் பாடும்.

14. Spare my life, O God, and save me, and I will gladly proclaim your righteousness.

15. ஆண்டவரே, என் உதடுகளைத் திறந்தருளும்; அப்பொழுது என் வாய் உம்முடைய புகழை அறிவிக்கும்.

15. Help me to speak, Lord, and I will praise you.

16. பலியை நீர் விரும்புகிறதில்லை, விரும்பினால் செலுத்துவேன்; தகனபலியும் உமக்குப் பிரியமானதல்ல.

16. You do not want sacrifices, or I would offer them; you are not pleased with burnt offerings.

17. தேவனுக்கேற்கும் பலிகள் நொறுங்குண்ட ஆவிதான்; தேவனே, நொறுங்குண்டதும் நருங்குண்டதுமான இருதயத்தை நீர் புறக்கணியீர்.

17. My sacrifice is a humble spirit, O God; you will not reject a humble and repentant heart.

18. சீயோனுக்கு உமது பிரியத்தின்படி நன்மை செய்யும்; எருசலேமின் மதில்களைக் கட்டுவீராக.

18. O God, be kind to Zion and help her; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

19. அப்பொழுது தகனபலியும் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியுமாகிய நீதியின் பலிகளில் பிரியப்படுவீர்; அப்பொழுது உமது பீடத்தின்மேல் காளைகளைப் பலியிடுவார்கள்.

19. Then you will be pleased with proper sacrifices and with our burnt offerings; and bulls will be sacrificed on your altar.
