1. தேவன் நமக்கு அடைக்கலமும் பெலனும், ஆபத்துக்காலத்தில் அனுகூலமான துணையுமானவர்.

4. ஒரு நதியுண்டு, அதின் நீர்க்கால்கள் தேவனுடைய நகரத்தையும், உன்னதமானவர் வாசம்பண்ணும் பரிசுத்தஸ்தலத்தையும் சந்தோஷிப்பிக்கும்.

4. {There is} a river, the streams of which shall make glad the city of God, the holy {place} of the tabernacles of the Most High.

5. தேவன் அதின் நடுவில் இருக்கிறார், அது அசையாது; அதிகாலையிலே தேவன் அதற்குச் சகாயம் பண்ணுவார்.

5. God {is} in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, {and that} right early.

8. பூமியிலே பாழ்க்கடிப்புகளை நடப்பிக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய செய்கைகளை வந்துபாருங்கள்.

8. Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

9. அவர் பூமியின் கடைமுனைமட்டும் யுத்தங்களை ஓயப்பண்ணுகிறார்; வில்லை ஒடித்து, ஈட்டியை முறிக்கிறார்; இரதங்களை நெருப்பினால் சுட்டெரிக்கிறார்.

9. He maketh wars to cease to the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear asunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

10. நீங்கள் அமர்ந்திருந்து, நானே தேவனென்று அறிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்; ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே உயர்ந்திருப்பேன், பூமியிலே உயர்ந்திருப்பேன்.

10. Be still, and know that I {am} God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
