1. பொல்லாதவர்களைக்குறித்து எரிச்சலடையாதே; நியாயக்கேடு செய்கிறவர்கள்மேல் பொறாமை கொள்ளாதே.

1. David's. An Alphabetical Psalm. Burn not with vexation because of evil-doers, Be not envious of the workers of perversity;

2. அவர்கள் புல்லைப்போல் சீக்கிரமாய் அறுப்புண்டு, பசும்பூண்டைப்போல் வாடிப்போவார்கள்.

2. For, like grass, soon shall they wither, and, like green herbage, shall they fade.

3. கர்த்தரை நம்பி நன்மைசெய்; தேசத்தில் குடியிருந்து சத்தியத்தை மேய்ந்துகொள்.

3. Trust in Yahweh, and do good, Dwell in the land, and feed on fidelity;

4. கர்த்தரிடத்தில் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிரு; அவர் உன் இருதயத்தின் வேண்டுதல்களை உனக்கு அருள்செய்வார்.

4. Yea, rest thy delight on Yahweh, that he may give thee the requests of thy heart.

5. உன் வழியைக் கர்த்தருக்கு ஒப்புவித்து, அவர்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிரு; அவரே காரியத்தை வாய்க்கப்பண்ணுவார்.

5. Roll on Yahweh thy way, Trust also in him, and, he, will effectually work:

6. உன் நீதியை வெளிச்சத்தைப் போலவும், உன் நியாயத்தைப் பட்டப்பகலைப்போலவும் விளங்கப்பண்ணுவார்.

6. So will he bring forth, as the light, thy righteousness, and thy vindication as the noonday.

7. கர்த்தரை நோக்கி அமர்ந்து, அவருக்குக் காத்திரு; காரியசித்தியுள்ளவன் மேலும் தீவினைகளைச் செய்கிற மனுஷன் மேலும் எரிச்சலாகாதே.

7. Be resigned to Yahweh, yea wait with longing for him; Burn not with vexation at him who prospereth in his way, at the man who doeth wickedness.

8. கோபத்தை நெகிழ்ந்து, உக்கிரத்தை விட்டுவிடு; பொல்லாப்புச் செய்ய ஏதுவான எரிச்சல் உனக்கு வேண்டாம்.

8. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath, Burn not with vexation it would be only to do evil;

9. பொல்லாதவர்கள் அறுப்புண்டுபோவார்கள்; கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்களோ பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக் கொள்வார்கள்.

9. For, evil doers, shall be cut off, but, as for them who wait for Yahweh, they, shall inherit the earth.

10. இன்னுங் கொஞ்சநேரந்தான், அப்போது துன்மார்க்கன் இரான்; அவன் ஸ்தானத்தை உற்று விசாரித்தாயானால் அவன் இல்லை.

10. Yet a little, therefore, and the lawless one shall not be, Yea thou shalt look about, over his place and he shall have vanished!

11. சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவர்கள் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்து, மிகுந்த சமாதானத்தினால் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிருப்பார்கள்.

11. But, the patient oppressed-ones, shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves over the abundance of prosperity.

12. துன்மார்க்கன் நீதிமானுக்கு விரோதமாய்த் தீங்கு நினைத்து, அவன் பேரில் பற்கடிக்கிறான்.

12. Plotting is the lawless one, against the just, and gnashing upon him with his teeth.

13. ஆண்டவர் அவனைப்பார்த்து நகைக்கிறார்; அவனுடைய நாள் வருகிறதென்று காண்கிறார்.

13. My Lord, shall laugh at him, for he seeth, that his day, will come.

14. சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமானவனை மடிவிக்கவும், செம்மை மார்க்கத்தாரை விழப்பண்ணவும், துன்மார்க்கர் பட்டயத்தை உருவி, தங்கள் வில்லை நாணேற்றுகிறார்கள்.

14. A sword, have the lawless, drawn out, and have trodden their bow, To bring down the oppressed and the needy, To slaughter the upright in life:

15. ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் பட்டயம் அவர்களுடைய இருதயத்திற்குள் உருவிப்போகும்; அவர்கள் வில்லுகள் முறியும்.

15. Their sword, shall enter into their own heart, and, their bow, shall be broken.

16. அநேக துன்மார்க்கருக்குள்ள செல்வத்திரட்சியைப்பார்க்கிலும், நீதிமானுக்குள்ள கொஞ்சமே நல்லது.

16. Better the little of the righteous man, than the abundance of the lawless who are mighty;

17. துன்மார்க்கருடைய புயங்கள் முறியும்; நீதிமான்களையோ கர்த்தர் தாங்குகிறார்.

17. For, the arms of the lawless, shall be broken, But Yahweh is upholding the righteous.

18. உத்தமர்களின் நாட்களைக் கர்த்தர் அறிந்திருக்கிறார்; அவர்கள் சுதந்தரம் என்றென்றைக்கும் இருக்கும்.

18. Yahweh knoweth the days of the blameless, that, their inheritance, unto times age-abiding, shall continue.

19. அவர்கள் ஆபத்துக்காலத்திலே வெட்கப்பட்டுப்போகாதிருந்து, பஞ்சகாலத்திலே திருப்தியடைவார்கள்.

19. They shall not be ashamed in the time of calamity, and, in the days of famine, shall they be filled.

20. துன்மார்க்கரோ அழிந்துபோவார்கள், கர்த்தருடைய சத்துருக்கள் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளின் நிணத்தைப்போல் புகைந்து போவார்கள், அவர்கள் புகையாய்ப் புகைந்து போவார்கள்.

20. For, the lawless, shall perish, and, the foes of Yahweh, be like the glory of the meadows, They have vanished! In smoke, have they vanished!

21. துன்மார்க்கன் கடன் வாங்கிச் செலுத்தாமற் போகிறான்; நீதிமானோ இரங்கிக்கொடுக்கிறான்.

21. A lawless man borroweth, and will not repay, But, a righteous man, showeth favour and giveth;

22. அவரால் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளுவார்கள்; அவரால் சபிக்கப்பட்டவர்களோ அறுப்புண்டுபோவார்கள்.

22. For, such as are blessed of him, shall inherit the earth, But, the cursed of him, shall be cut off.

23. நல்ல மனுஷனுடைய நடைகள் கர்த்தரால் உறுதிப்படும், அவனுடைய வழியின்மேல் அவர் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார்.

23. From Yahweh, are the steps of a man made firm, When, with his way, he is well pleased:

24. அவன் விழுந்தாலும் தள்ளுண்டு போவதில்லை; கர்த்தர் தமது கையினால் அவனைத் தாங்குகிறார்.

24. Though he fall, he shall not be hurled headlong, For, Yahweh, is holding his hand.

25. நான் இளைஞனாயிருந்தேன், முதிர்வயதுள்ளவனுமானேன்; ஆனாலும் நீதிமான் கைவிடப்பட்டதையும், அவன் சந்ததி அப்பத்துக்கு இரந்து திரிகிறதையும் நான் காணவில்லை.

25. Young, have I been, moreover am old, Yet have I not seen, A righteous man forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread:

26. அவன் நித்தம் இரங்கிக் கடன் கொடுக்கிறான், அவன் சந்ததி ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும்.

26. All day long, is he showing favour and lending, his seed, therefore, shall have a blessing.

27. தீமையை விட்டு விலகி, நன்மை செய்; என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருப்பாய்.

27. Turn from evil, and do good, and so settle down, unto times age-abiding.

28. கர்த்தர் நியாயத்தை விரும்புகிறவர்; அவர் தமது பரிசுத்தவான்களைக் கைவிடுவதில்லை; அவர்கள் என்றைக்கும் காக்கப்படுவார்கள்; துன்மார்க்கருடைய சந்ததியோ அறுப்புண்டுபோகும்.

28. For, Yahweh, loveth justice, and will not forsake his men of lovingkindness, Unto times age-abiding, have the perverse been destroyed, and the seed of the lawless, been cut off.

29. நீதிமான்கள் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டு, என்றைக்கும் அதிலே வாசமாயிருப்பார்கள்.

29. The righteous, shall inherit the earth, that they may settle down, to futurity, thereupon.

30. நீதிமானுடைய வாய் ஞானத்தை உரைத்து, அவனுடைய நாவு நியாயத்தைப் பேசும்.

30. The mouth of a righteous man, softly uttereth wisdom, and, his tongue, speaketh justice:

31. அவனுடைய தேவன் அருளிய வேதம் அவன் இருதயத்தில் இருக்கிறது; அவன் நடைகளில் ஒன்றும் பிசகுவதில்லை.

31. The law of his God, is in his heart, his steps shall not swerve.

32. துன்மார்க்கன் நீதிமான்மேல் கண்வைத்து, அவனைக் கொல்ல வகைதேடுகிறான்.

32. The lawless man, lieth in wait, for the just, and seeketh to put him to death:

33. கர்த்தரோ அவனை இவன் கையில் விடுவதில்லை; அவன் நியாயம் விசாரிக்கப்படுகையில், அவனை ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்ப்பதுமில்லை.

33. Yahweh, will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him, when he is judged.

34. நீ கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருந்து, அவருடைய வழியைக் கைக்கொள்; அப்பொழுது நீ பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்வதற்கு அவர் உன்னை உயர்த்துவார்; துன்மார்க்கர் அறுப்புண்டுபோவதை நீ காண்பாய்.

34. Wait for Yahweh, and observe thou his path, that he may exalt thee, to inherit the earth, On the cutting off of the lawless, shalt thou look.

35. கொடிய பலவந்தனான ஒரு துன்மார்க்கனைக் கண்டேன் அவன் தனக்கேற்ற நிலத்தில் முளைத்திருக்கிற பச்சைமரத்தைப்போல் தழைத்தவனாயிருந்தான்.

35. I have seen a lawless man, a tyrant, and spreading himself out, like a cedar in Lebanon;

36. ஆனாலும் அவன் ஒழிந்துபோனான்; பாருங்கள், அவன் இல்லை; அவனைத் தேடினேன், அவன் காணப்படவில்லை.

36. Then I passed by, and lo! he had vanished! Yea I sought him, but he could not be found.

37. நீ உத்தமனை நோக்கி, செம்மையானவனைப் பார்த்திரு; அந்த மனுஷனுடைய முடிவு சமாதானம்.

37. Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright, for there is a hereafter for the man of peace;

38. அக்கிரமக்காரர் ஏகமாய் அழிக்கப்படுவார்கள்; அறுப்புண்டுபோவதே துன்மார்க்கரின் முடிவு.

38. But, transgressors, are to be destroyed together, the hereafter of lawless men, is to be cut off.

39. நீதிமான்களுடைய இரட்சிப்பு கர்த்தரால் வரும்; இக்கட்டுக்காலத்தில் அவரே அவர்கள் அடைக்கலம்.

39. But, the deliverance of the righteous, is from Yahweh, their refuge in a time of distress.

40. கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்து, அவர்களை விடுவிப்பார்; அவர்கள் அவரை நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியால், அவர்களைத் துன்மார்க்கருடைய கைக்குத் தப்புவித்து இரட்சிப்பார்.

40. Thus hath Yahweh helped them, thus hath he delivered them, He will deliver them from the lawless, and will save them, because they have sought refuge in him.
