1. வானங்கள் தேவனுடைய மகிமையை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றன, ஆகாய விரிவு அவருடைய கரங்களின் கிரியையை அறிவிக்கிறது.

1. To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. The heavens, are telling the glory of GOD, And, the work of his hands, the expanse is declaring;

2. பகலுக்குப் பகல் வார்த்தைகளைப் பொழிகிறது, இரவுக்கு இரவு அறிவைத் தெரிவிக்கிறது.

2. Day, unto day, doth pour forth speech, and, night, unto night, doth breathe out knowledge.

3. அவைகளுக்குப் பேச்சுமில்லை, வார்த்தையுமில்லை, அவைகளின் சத்தம் கேட்கப்படுவதுமில்லை.

3. There is no speech, and there are no words, Unheard is their voice!

4. ஆகிலும் அவைகளின் சத்தம் பூமியெங்கும், அவைகளின் வசனங்கள் பூவுலகின் கடைசிவரைக்கும் செல்லுகின்றன; அவைகளில் சூரியனுக்கு ஒரு கூடாரத்தை ஸ்தாபித்தார்.

4. Yet through all the earth, hath gone forth their voice, and, to the end of the world, their sayings, For the sun, hath he set up a tent therein;

5. அது தன் மணவறையிலிருந்து புறப்படுகிற மணவாளனைப்போல் இருக்கிறது, பராக்கிரமசாலியைப்போல் தன் பாதையில் ஓட மகிழ்ச்சியாயிருக்கிறது.

5. And, he, is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, he rejoiceth as a hero to run a race:

6. அது வானங்களின் ஒரு முனையிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, அவைகளின் மறுமுனைவரைக்கும் சுற்றியோடுகிறது; அதின் வெம்மைக்கு மறைவானது ஒன்றுமில்லை.

6. From one end of the heavens, is his going forth, and, his circuit, to the other end thereof and, nothing, is hid from his glowing heat.

7. கர்த்தருடைய வேதம் குறைவற்றதும், ஆத்துமாவை உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது; கர்த்தருடைய சாட்சி முழுமையானதும், பேதையை ஞானியாக்குகிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது.

7. The, law of Yahweh, is complete, Bringing back the soul, The, testimony of Yahweh, is confirmed, Making wise the simple;

8. கர்த்தருடைய நியாயங்கள் செம்மையும், இருதயத்தைச் சந்தோஷிப்பிக்கிறவையுமாய் இருக்கிறது; கர்த்தருடைய கற்பனை தூய்மையும், கண்களைத் தெளிவிக்கிறதுமாய் இருக்கிறது.

8. The precepts of Yahweh, are right, Rejoicing the heart, The, commandment of Yahweh, is pure, Enlightening the eyes;

9. கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிற பயம் சுத்தமும், என்றைக்கும் நிலைக்கிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது; கர்த்தருடைய நியாயங்கள் உண்மையும், அவைகள் அனைத்தும் நீதியுமாய் இருக்கின்றன.

9. The, reverence of Yahweh, is clean, Enduring evermore, The, decisions of Yahweh, are faithful, They are righteous, altogether:

10. அவை பொன்னிலும், மிகுந்த பசும்பொன்னிலும் விரும்பப்படத்தக்கவையும், தேனிலும் தேன்கூட்டிலிருந்து ஒழுகும் தெளிதேனிலும் மதுரமுள்ளவையுமாய் இருக்கின்றன.

10. More desirable, than gold, yea than much fine gold, Sweeter, also than honey, or than droppings from the comb.

11. அன்றியும் அவைகளால் உமது அடியேன் எச்சரிக்கப்படுகிறேன்; அவைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறதினால் மிகுந்த பலன் உண்டு.

11. Even thine own servant, taketh warning by them, In the keeping of them, great is the reward.

12. தன் பிழைகளை உணருகிறவன் யார்? மறைந்து கிடக்கும் பிழைகளிலிருந்து என்னைச் சுத்திகரியும்.

12. Mistakes, who perceiveth? From things that are hidden, acquit me:

13. துணிகரமான பாவங்களுக்கும் உமது அடியேனை விலக்கிக்காரும்; அவைகள் என்னை ஆண்டுகொள்ள ஒட்டாதிரும்; அப்பொழுது நான் உத்தமனாகி, பெரும்பாதகத்துக்கு நீங்கலாயிருப்பேன்.

13. Even from the presumptuous, keep back thy servant, May they not have dominion over me, Then, shall I be blameless, and shall be acquitted from great transgression:

14. என் கன்மலையும் என் மீட்பருமாகிய கர்த்தாவே, என் வாயின் வார்த்தைகளும், என் இருதயத்தின் தியானமும், உமது சமுகத்துக்குப் பிரியமாய் இருப்பதாக.

14. The words of my mouth, and the soft utterance of my heart, shall come with acceptance, before thee, O Yahweh, my Rock and my Redeemer!
