1. என் நெருக்கத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டேன்; அவர் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தார்.

2. கர்த்தாவே, பொய் உதடுகளுக்கும் கபடநாவுக்கும் என் ஆத்துமாவைத் தப்புவியும்.

3. கபடநாவே, உனக்கு என்ன கிடைக்கும்? உனக்கு என்ன செய்யப்படும்?

4. பலவானுடைய கூர்மையான அம்புகளும், சூரைச்செடிகளை எரிக்கும் தழலுமே கிடைக்கும்.

5. ஐயோ! நான் மேசேக்கிலே சஞ்சரித்தது போதும், கேதாரின் கூடாரங்களண்டையிலே குடியிருந்ததும் போதும்!

5. Sorrow is mine because I am strange in Meshech, and living in the tents of Kedar.

6. சமாதானத்தைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களிடத்தில் என் ஆத்துமா குடியிருந்ததும் போதும்!

6. My soul has long been living with the haters of peace.

7. நான் சமாதானத்தை நாடுகிறேன்; அவர்களோ, நான் பேசும்போது யுத்தத்துக்கு எத்தனப்படுகிறார்கள்.

7. I am for peace: but when I say so, they are for war.
