1. சாலொமோன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தையும் தன் அரமனையையும் கட்ட இருபது வருஷகாலம் சென்றபின்பு,

1. And after twentie yeere when Salomon had built the house of the Lord, and his owne house,

2. ஈராம் தனக்குக் கொடுத்திருந்த பட்டணங்களைச் சாலொமோன் கட்டி, அவைகளில் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரைக் குடியேற்றினான்.

2. Then Salomon built the cities that Huram gaue to Salomon, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.

3. பின்பு சாலொமோன் ஆமாத்சோபாவுக்குப் போய், அதை ஜெயித்தான்.

3. And Salomon went to Hamath Zobah, and ouercame it.

4. அவன் வனாந்தரத்திலுள்ள தத்மோரையும், ஆமாத்தேசத்திலே இரஸ்துக்களின் பட்டணங்கள் அனைத்தையும் கட்டினான்.

4. And he built Tadmor in the wildernesse, and repayred all the cities of store which hee built in Hamath.

5. சாலொமோன் மேல்பெத்தொரோனையும், கீழ்ப்பெத்தொரோனையும், அலங்கங்களும் கதவுகளும் தாழ்ப்பாள்களுமுள்ள அரணான பட்டணங்களாகக் கட்டி,

5. And he built Beth-horon the vpper, and Beth-horon the nether, cities defensed with walles, gates and barres:

6. பாலாத்தையும், தனக்கு இருக்கிற இரஸ்துக்களை வைக்கும் சகல பட்டணங்களையும், இரதங்கள் இருக்கும் சகல பட்டணங்களையும், குதிரை வீரர் இருக்கும் பட்டணங்களையும், எருசலேமிலும் லீபனோனிலும் தான் ஆளும் தேசமெங்கும் தனக்கு இஷ்டமானதையெல்லாம் கட்டினான்.

6. Also Baalath, and al the cities of store that Salomon had, and all the charet cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and euery pleasant place that Salomon had a minde to builde in Ierusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the lande of his dominion.

7. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் சங்காரம்பண்ணாதிருந்த இஸ்ரவேல் ஜாதியல்லாத ஏத்தியர், எமோரியர், பெரிசியர், ஏவியர், எபூசியரில் மீதியான சகல ஜனத்திலும்,

7. And all the people that were left to ye Hittites, and ye Amorites, and Perizzites, and the Hiuuites, and the Iebusites, which were not of Israel,

8. அவர்களுக்குப்பிறகு தேசத்திலிருந்த அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகளை சாலொமோன் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறபடி பகுதி கட்டச்செய்தான்.

8. But of their children which were left after them in the lande, whome the children of Israel had not consumed, euen them did Salomon make tributaries vntill this day.

9. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் ஒருவரையும் சாலொமோன் தன் வேலையைச் செய்ய அடிமைப்படுத்தவில்லை; அவர்கள் யுத்த மனுஷரும், அவனுடைய சேர்வைக்காரரின் தலைவரும், அவனுடைய இரதங்களுக்கும் குதிரைவீரருக்கும் தலைவருமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

9. But of the children of Israel did Salomon make no seruantes for his worke: for they were men of warre, and his chiefe princes, and the captaines of his charets and of his horsemen.

10. ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனுடைய ஊழியக்காரரின் தலைவராகிய இவர்களில் இருநூற்று ஐம்பதுபேர் ஜனத்தை ஆண்டார்கள்.

10. So these were the chiefe of the officers which Salomon had, euen two hundreth and fiftie that bare rule ouer the people.

11. சாலொமோன்: கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டி வந்த ஸ்தலங்கள் பரிசுத்தமாயிருக்கிறது; ஆதலால், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய தாவீதின் அரமனையிலே என் மனைவி வாசம்பண்ணலாகாது என்று சொல்லி, பார்வோனின் குமாரத்தியைத் தாவீதின் நகரத்திலிருந்து தான் அவளுக்குக் கட்டின மாளிகைக்குக் குடிவரப்பண்ணினான்.

11. Then Salomon brought vp the daughter of Pharaoh out of the citie of Dauid, into the house that he had built for her: for he saide, My wife shall not dwel in the house of Dauid King of Israel: for it is holy, because that the Arke of the Lord came vnto it.

12. அதுமுதற்கொண்டு சாலொமோன் தான் மண்டபத்திற்கு முன்பாகக் கட்டியிருந்த கர்த்தருடைய பலிபீடத்தின்மேல்,

12. Then Salomon offered burnt offrings vnto the Lord, on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porche,

13. ஒவ்வொரு நாளின் கட்டளைக்குத்தக்கதாய் மோசேயுடைய கற்பனையின்படியே ஓய்வுநாட்களிலும் மாதப்பிறப்புகளிலும், வருஷத்தில் மூன்றுதரம் ஆசரிக்கிற பண்டிகைகளாகிய புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பப்பண்டிகையிலும், வாரங்களின் பண்டிகையிலும், கூடாரப்பண்டிகையிலும், கர்த்தருக்குச் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளைச் செலுத்தினான்.

13. To offer according to the commandement of Moses euery day, in the Sabbaths, and in the newe moones, and in the solemne feastes, three times in the yeere, that is, in the feast of the Vnleauened bread, and in the feast of the Weekes, and in the feast of the Tabernacles.

14. அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதுடைய பிரமாணத்தின்படியே, ஆசாரியர்கள் தங்கள் தங்கள் ஊழியத்தைச் செய்யும் வகுப்புகளையும், லேவியர் ஒவ்வொரு நாளின் கட்டளைப்படியே துதித்து சேவித்து ஆசாரியருக்கு முன்பாகத் தங்கள் ஊழியத்தைச் செய்யும் முறைகளையும், வாசல் காப்பவர்கள் ஒவ்வொரு வாசலில் காவல்காக்கும் வகுப்புகளையும் நிற்கப்பண்ணினான்; தேவனுடைய மனுஷனாகிய தாவீது இப்படிக் கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தான்.

14. And he set the courses of the Priestes to their offices, according to the order of Dauid his father, and the Leuites in their watches, for to praise and minister before the Priestes euery day, and the porters by their courses, at euery gate: for so was the commandement of Dauid the man of God.

15. சகல காரியத்தையும் பொக்கிஷங்களின் காரியத்தையும் குறித்து, ராஜா ஆசாரியருக்கும் லேவியருக்கும் கொடுத்த கட்டளையை விட்டு அவர்கள் விலகாதிருந்தார்கள்.

15. And they declined not from the commandement of the King, concerning the Priests and the Leuites, touching al things, and touching the treasures.

16. இப்படியே கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துக்கு அஸ்திபாரம் போடப்பட்ட நாள் முதல் அதை முடிக்குமட்டும் சாலொமோனின் வேலையெல்லாம் நடந்தேறிக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயம் கட்டித்தீர்ந்தது.

16. Nowe Salomon had made prouision for all the worke, from the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, vntill it was finished: so the house of the Lord was perfite.

17. பின்பு சாலொமோன் ஏதோம் தேசத்துக் கடல் ஓரத்திலிருக்கும் எசியோன்கேபேருக்கும் ஏலோத்துக்கும் போனான்.

17. Then went Salomon to Ezion-geber, and to Eloth by the sea side in the lande of Edom.

18. அவனுக்கு ஈராம் தன் ஊழியக்காரர் முகாந்தரமாய்க் கப்பல்களையும், சமுத்திர யாத்திரையில் பழகின வேலையாட்களையும் அனுப்பினான்; அவர்கள் சாலொமோனின் வேலைக்காரரோடேகூட ஓப்பீருக்குப் போய், அங்கேயிருந்து நானூற்று ஐம்பது தாலந்து பொன்னை ஏற்றி ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.

18. And Huram sent him by the handes of his seruants, shippes, and seruants that had knowledge of the sea: and they went with the seruants of Salomon to Ophir, and brought thence foure hundreth and fiftie talents of golde, and brought them to King Salomon.
