1. தாவீதுக்கு எப்ரோனிலே பிறந்த குமாரர்: யெஸ்ரெயேல் ஊராளான அகிநோவாமிடத்தில் பிறந்த அம்னோன் முதற்பேறானவன்; கர்மேலின் ஊராளான அபிகாயேலிடத்தில் பிறந்த கீலேயாப் இரண்டாம் குமாரன்.

1. These were the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron. The first-born was Amnon, whose mother was Ahinoam of Jezreel. The second was Daniel, the son of Abigail of Carmel.

2. கேசூரின் ராஜாவாகிய தல்மாயின் குமாரத்தி மாக்காள் பெற்ற அப்சலோம் மூன்றாம் குமாரன்; ஆகீத் பெற்ற அதோனியா நாலாம் குமாரன்.

2. The third was Absalom the son of Maacah, the daughter of King Talmai of Geshur. The fourth was Adonijah the son of Haggith.

3. அபித்தாள் பெற்ற செப்பத்தியா ஐந்தாம் குமாரன்; அவன் பெண்ஜாதியாகிய எக்லாள் பெற்ற இத்ரேயாம் ஆறாம் குமாரன்.

3. The fifth was Shephatiah the son of Abital. And the sixth was Ithream, by David's wife Eglah.

4. இந்த ஆறு குமாரர் அவனுக்கு எப்ரோனிலே பிறந்தார்கள்; அங்கே ஏழு வருஷமும் ஆறு மாதமும் அரசாண்டான்; எருசலேமிலோ முப்பத்துமூன்று வருஷம் அரசாண்டான்.

4. Six sons were born to David in Hebron. He ruled there for seven years and six months. And he ruled in Jerusalem for thirty-three years.

5. எருசலேமில் அவனுக்குப் பிறந்தவர்கள்: அம்மியேலின் குமாரத்தியாகிய பத்சேபாளிடத்தில் சிமீயா, சோபாப், நாத்தான், சாலொமோன் என்னும் நாலுபேரும்,

5. These are the sons who were born to him in Jerusalem: Bathsheba the daughter of Ammiel gave birth to David's four sons, Shimea, Shobab, Nathan and Solomon.

6. இப்கார், எலிசாமா, எலிப்பெலேத்,

6. And there were Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet,

7. நோகா, நேபேக், யப்பியா,

7. Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,

8. எலிசாமா, எலியாதா, எலிபேலேத் என்னும் ஒன்பதுபேருமே.

8. Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine sons.

9. மறுமனையாட்டிகளின் குமாரரையும் இவர்கள் சகோதரியாகிய தாமாரையும் தவிர, இவர்களெல்லாரும் தாவீதின் குமாரர்.

9. All these were the sons of David, added to the sons of the women who acted as David's wives. Tamar was their sister.

10. சாலொமோனின் குமாரன் ரெகொபெயாம்; இவனுடைய குமாரன் அபியா; இவனுடைய குமாரன் ஆசா; இவனுடைய குமாரன் யோசபாத்.
மத்தேயு 1:7-10

10. Solomon's son was Rehoboam. Abijah was his son. Asa was his son. Jehoshaphat was his son.

11. இவனுடைய குமாரன் யோராம்; இவனுடைய குமாரன் அகசியா; இவனுடைய குமாரன் யோவாஸ்.

11. Joram was his son. Ahaziah was his son. Joash was his son.

12. இவனுடைய குமாரன் அமத்சியா; இவனுடைய குமாரன் அசரியா; இவனுடைய குமாரன் யோதாம்.

12. Amaziah was his son. Azariah was his son. Jotham was his son.

13. இவனுடைய குமாரன் ஆகாஸ்; இவனுடைய குமாரன் எசேக்கியா; இவனுடைய குமாரன் மனாசே.

13. Ahaz was his son. Hezekiah was his son. Manasseh was his son.

14. இவனுடைய குமாரன் ஆமோன்; இவனுடைய குமாரன் யோசியா.

14. Amon was his son. And Josiah was his son.

15. யோசியாவின் குமாரர், முதல் பிறந்த யோகனானும், யோயாக்கீம் என்னும் இரண்டாம் குமாரனும், சிதேக்கியா என்னும் மூன்றாம் குமாரனும், சல்லூம் என்னும் நாலாம் குமாரனுமே.

15. The sons of Josiah were Johanan the first-born, Jehoiakim the second, Zedekiah the third, and Shallum the fourth.

16. யோயாக்கீமின் குமாரர், எகொனியா முதலானவர்கள்; இவனுக்கு மகனானவன் சிதேக்கியா.

16. The sons of Jehoiakim were Jeconiah and Zedekiah.

17. Jeconiah was taken away to prison by the Babylonians. His sons were Shealtiel,

18. மல்கீராம், பெதாயா, சேனாசார், யெகமியா, ஒசாமா, நெதபியா என்பவர்கள்.

18. Malchiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.

19. பெதாயாவின் குமாரர், செருபாபேல், சிமேயி என்பவர்கள்; செருபாபேலின் குமாரர், மெசுல்லாம், அனனியா என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் சகோதரி செலோமீத் என்பவள்.

19. Pedaiah's sons were Zerubbabel and Shimei. And the sons of Zerubbabel were Meshullam and Hananiah. Shelomith was their sister.

20. அசூபா, ஒகேல், பெரகியா, அசதியா, ஊசாபேசேத் என்னும் ஐந்துபேருமே.

20. Five other sons of Zerubbabel were Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, and Jushab-hesed.

21. அனனியாவின் குமாரர், பெலத்தியா, எசாயா என்பவர்கள்; இவனுடைய குமாரன் ரெபாயா; இவனுடைய குமாரன் அர்னான்; இவனுடைய குமாரன் ஒபதியா; இவனுடைய குமாரன் செக்கனியா.

21. The sons of Hananiah were Pelatiah and Jeshaiah, whose son was Rephaiah. His son was Arnan. His son was Obadiah. And his son was Shecaniah.

22. செக்கனியாவின் குமாரர் செமாயா முதலானவர்கள்; செமாயாவின் குமாரர், அத்தூஸ், எகெயால், பாரியா, நெயாரியா, செப்பாத் என்னும் ஆறுபேர்.

22. Shecaniah's son was Shemaiah, whose sons were Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat, six sons.

23. நெயாரியாவின் குமாரர், எலியோனாய், எசேக்கியா, அஸ்ரீக்காம் என்னும் மூன்றுபேர்.

23. The three sons of Neariah were Elioenai, Hizkiah and Azrikam.

24. எலியோனாயின் குமாரர், ஒதாயா, எலியாசிப், பெலாயா, அக்கூப், யோகனான், தெலாயா, ஆனானி என்னும் ஏழுபேர்.

24. And the seven sons of Elioenai were Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah, and Anani.
