1. These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun,

2. தாண், யோசேப்பு, பென்யமீன், நப்தலி, காத், ஆசேர் என்பவர்கள்;

2. Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad and Asher.

3. The sons of Judah [were] Er, Onan and Shelah; [these] three were born to him by Bath-shua the Canaanitess. And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD, so He put him to death.

4. Tamar his daughter-in-law bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all.

5. The sons of Perez [were] Hezron and Hamul.

6. The sons of Zerah [were] Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol and Dara; five of them in all.

7. The son of Carmi [was] Achar, the troubler of Israel, who violated the ban.

8. ஏத்தானின் குமாரர் அசரியா முதலானவர்கள்.

8. The son of Ethan [was] Azariah.

9. எஸ்ரோனுக்குப் பிறந்த குமாரர், யெர்மெயேல், ராம், கெலுபா என்பவர்கள்.

9. Now the sons of Hezron, who were born to him [were] Jerahmeel, Ram and Chelubai.

10. Ram became the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab became the father of Nahshon, leader of the sons of Judah;

11. Nahshon became the father of Salma, Salma became the father of Boaz,

12. போவாஸ் ஓபேதைப் பெற்றான்; ஓபேத் ஈசாயைப் பெற்றான்.

12. Boaz became the father of Obed, and Obed became the father of Jesse;

13. and Jesse became the father of Eliab his firstborn, then Abinadab the second, Shimea the third,

14. Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

15. ஓத்சேம் என்னும் ஆறாம் குமாரனையும், தாவீது என்னும் எட்டாம் குமாரனையும் பெற்றான்.

15. Ozem the sixth, David the seventh;

16. அவர்கள் சகோதரிகள் செருயாள், அபிகாயில் என்பவர்கள்; செருயாளின் குமாரர், அபிசாய், யோவாப், ஆசகேல் என்னும் மூன்றுபேர்.

16. and their sisters [were] Zeruiah and Abigail. And the three sons of Zeruiah [were] Abshai, Joab and Asahel.

17. அபிகாயில் அமாசாவைப் பெற்றாள்; அமாசாவின் தகப்பன் இஸ்மவேலியனாகிய யெத்தேர் என்பவன்.

17. Abigail bore Amasa, and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.

18. எஸ்ரோனின் குமாரன் காலேப் எரீயோத் என்னப்பட்ட தன் பெண்ஜாதியாகிய அசுபாளாலே பெற்ற குமாரர், ஏசேர், சோபாப், அர்தோன் என்பவர்கள்.

18. Now Caleb the son of Hezron had sons by Azubah [his] wife, and by Jerioth; and these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.

19. அசுபாள் சென்றுபோனபின் காலேப் எப்ராத்தை விவாகம்பண்ணினான்; இவள் அவனுக்கு ஊரைப் பெற்றாள்.

19. When Azubah died, Caleb married Ephrath, who bore him Hur.

20. ஊர் ஊரியைப் பெற்றான்; ஊரி பெசலெயேலைப் பெற்றான்.

20. Hur became the father of Uri, and Uri became the father of Bezalel.

21. பிற்பாடு, எஸ்ரோன் அறுபது வயதானபோது கிலெயாத்தின் தகப்பனாகிய மாகீரின் குமாரத்தியை விவாகம்பண்ணி, அவளிடத்தில் பிரவேசித்தான்; இவள் அவனுக்குச் செகூபைப் பெற்றாள்.

21. Afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub.

22. செகூப் யாவீரைப் பெற்றான்; இவனுக்குக் கீலெயாத் தேசத்தில் இருபத்து மூன்று ஊர்கள் இருந்தது.

22. Segub became the father of Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.

23. கேசூரையும், ஆராமையும் யாவீரின் கிராமங்களையும், கேனாத்திலுள்ள கிராமங்களாகிய அறுபது ஊர்களையும் அவர்கள் கையிலே வாங்கினார்கள்; இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் கிலெயாத்தின் தகப்பனாகிய மாகீரின் குமாரர்.

23. But Geshur and Aram took the towns of Jair from them, with Kenath and its villages, [even] sixty cities. All these were the sons of Machir, the father of Gilead.

24. காலேபின் ஊரான எப்ராத்தாவில் எஸ்ரோன் இறந்துபோனபின், எஸ்ரோனின் பெண்ஜாதியாகிய அபியாள் அவனுக்குத் தெக்கொவாவின் தகப்பனாகிய அசூரைப் பெற்றாள்.

24. After the death of Hezron in Caleb-ephrathah, Abijah, Hezron's wife, bore him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.

25. எஸ்ரோனுக்கு முதற்பிறந்த யெர்மெயேலின் குமாரர், ராம் என்னும் மூத்தவனும், பூனா, ஓரென், ஓத்சேம், அகியா என்பவர்களுமே.

25. Now the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron [were] Ram the firstborn, then Bunah, Oren, Ozem [and] Ahijah.

26. அத்தாராள் என்னும் பேருள்ள வேறொரு மனைவியும் யெர்மெயேலுக்கு இருந்தாள்; இவள் ஓனாமின் தாய்.

26. Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

27. யெர்மெயேலுக்கு முதற்பிறந்த ராமின் குமாரர், மாஸ், யாமின், எக்கேர் என்பவர்கள்.

27. The sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin and Eker.

28. ஓனாமின் குமாரர், சம்மாய், யாதா என்பவர்கள்; சம்மாயின் குமாரர் நாதாப், அபிசூர் என்பவர்கள்.

28. The sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. And the sons of Shammai [were] Nadab and Abishur.

29. அபிசூருடைய மனைவியின் பேர் அபியாயேல்; அவள் அவனுக்கு அக்பானையும் மோளிதையும் பெற்றாள்.

29. The name of Abishur's wife [was] Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid.

30. நாதாபின் குமாரர், சேலேத், அப்பாயிம் என்பவர்கள்; சேலேத் புத்திரரில்லாமல் மரித்தான்.

30. The sons of Nadab [were] Seled and Appaim, and Seled died without sons.

31. அப்பாயிமின் குமாரர் இஷி முதலானவர்கள்; இஷியின் குமாரர் சேசான் முதலானவர்கள்; சேசானின் குமாரத்தி அக்லாய்.

31. The son of Appaim [was] Ishi. And the son of Ishi [was] Sheshan. And the son of Sheshan [was] Ahlai.

32. சம்மாயின் சகோதரனாகிய யாதாவின் குமாரர், யெத்தெர், யோனத்தான் என்பவர்கள்; யெத்தெர் குமாரரில்லாமல் மரித்தான்.

32. The sons of Jada the brother of Shammai [were] Jether and Jonathan, and Jether died without sons.

33. யோனத்தானின் குமாரர், பேலேத், சாசா என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் யெர்மெயேலின் புத்திரர்.

33. The sons of Jonathan [were] Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

34. சேசானுக்குக் குமாரத்திகளேயன்றி குமாரர்கள் இல்லை; சேசானுக்கு யர்கா என்னும் பேருள்ள எகிப்திய வேலைக்காரன் ஒருவன் இருந்தான்.

34. Now Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. And Sheshan had an Egyptian servant whose name was Jarha.

35. சேசான் தன் குமாரத்தியைத் தன் வேலைக்காரனாகிய யர்காவுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்; அவள் அவனுக்கு அத்தாயியைப் பெற்றாள்.

35. Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant in marriage, and she bore him Attai.

36. அத்தாயி நாதானைப் பெற்றான். நாதான் சாபாதைப் பெற்றான்.

36. Attai became the father of Nathan, and Nathan became the father of Zabad,

37. சாபாத் எப்லாலைப் பெற்றான்; எப்லால் ஓபேதைப் பெற்றான்.

37. and Zabad became the father of Ephlal, and Ephlal became the father of Obed,

38. ஓபேத் ஏகூவைப் பெற்றான்; ஏகூ அசரியாவைப் பெற்றான்.

38. and Obed became the father of Jehu, and Jehu became the father of Azariah,

39. அசரியா எலேத்சைப் பெற்றான்; ஏலெத்ஸ் எலெயாசாவைப் பெற்றான்.

39. and Azariah became the father of Helez, and Helez became the father of Eleasah,

40. எலெயாசா சிஸ்மாயைப் பெற்றான்; சிஸ்மாய் சல்லூமைப் பெற்றான்.

40. and Eleasah became the father of Sismai, and Sismai became the father of Shallum,

41. சல்லூம் எக்கமியாவைப் பெற்றான்; எக்கமியா எலிசாமாவைப் பெற்றான்.

41. and Shallum became the father of Jekamiah, and Jekamiah became the father of Elishama.

42. யெர்மெயேலின் சகோதரனாகிய காலேபின் குமாரர், சீப்பின் தகப்பனாகிய மேசா என்னும் முதற்பிறந்தவனும், எப்ரோனின் தகப்பனாகிய மெரேசாவின் குமாரருமே.

42. Now the sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, [were] Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph; and his son was Mareshah, the father of Hebron.

43. எப்ரோனின் குமாரர், கோராகு, தப்புவா, ரெக்கேம், செமா என்பவர்கள்.

43. The sons of Hebron [were] Korah and Tappuah and Rekem and Shema.

44. செமா யோர்க்கேயாமின் தகப்பனாகிய ரெக்கேமைப் பெற்றான்; ரெக்கேம் சம்மாயைப் பெற்றான்.

44. Shema became the father of Raham, the father of Jorkeam; and Rekem became the father of Shammai.

45. சம்மாயின் குமாரன் மாகோன்; மாகோன் பெத்சூரின் தகப்பன்.

45. The son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon [was] the father of Bethzur.

46. காலேபின் மறுமனையாட்டியாகிய எப்பாள் ஆரானையும், மோசாவையும், காசேசையும் பெற்றாள்; ஆரான் காசேசைப் பெற்றான்.

46. Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Haran, Moza and Gazez; and Haran became the father of Gazez.

47. யாதாயின் குமாரர் ரேகேம், யோதாம், கேசாம், பேலேத், எப்பா, சாகாப் என்பவர்கள்.

47. The sons of Jahdai [were] Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah and Shaaph.

48. காலேபின் மறுமனையாட்டியாகிய மாகாள் சேபேரையும் திர்கானாவையும் பெற்றாள்.

48. Maacah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah.

49. அவள் மத்மன்னாவின் தகப்பனாகிய சாகாபையும், மக்பேனாவுக்கும் கீபேயாவுக்கும் தகப்பனாகிய சேவாவையும் பெற்றாள்; காலேபின் குமாரத்தி அக்சாள் என்பவள்.

49. She also bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbena and the father of Gibea; and the daughter of Caleb [was] Achsah.

50. எப்ராத்தாளிடத்தில் முதற்பிறந்த ஊருடைய குமாரனாகிய காலேபின் குமாரர், கீரியாத்யாரீமின் மூப்பனான சோபாலும்,

50. These were the sons of Caleb. The sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, [were] Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim,

51. பெத்லெகேமின் மூப்பனான சல்மாவும், பெத்காதேரின் மூப்பனான ஆரேப்புமே.

51. Salma the father of Bethlehem [and] Hareph the father of Beth-gader.

52. கீரியாத்யாரிமின் மூப்பனான சோபாலின் குமாரர், ஆரோவே, ஆசியம் மெனுகோத் என்பவர்கள்.

52. Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons: Haroeh, half of the Manahathites,

53. கீரியாத்யாரிமிலிருந்த வம்சங்கள், எத்திரியரும் பூகியரும் சுமாத்தியரும் மிஸ்ராவியருமே; இவர்களிடத்தில் சோராத்தியரும், எஸ்தவோலியரும் பிறந்தார்கள்.

53. and the families of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites and the Mishraites; from these came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites.

54. சல்மாவின் சந்ததிகள், பெத்லெகேமியரும், நேத்தோப்பாத்தியரும், பெத்யோவாப் என்னும் அதரோத் ஊராரும், மானாத்தியரிலும் சோரியரிலும் பாதி ஜனங்களுமே.

54. The sons of Salma [were] Bethlehem and the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites.

55. யாபேசில் குடியிருந்த கணக்கரின் வம்சங்கள், திராத்தியரும் சிமாத்தியரும் சுக்காத்தியருமே; ரேகாப் வீட்டாரின் தகப்பனாகிய அம்மாத்தின் சந்ததியாரான கேனியர் இவர்களே.

55. The families of scribes who lived at Jabez [were] the Tirathites, the Shimeathites [and] the Sucathites. Those are the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.
