1. சாலொமோன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தையும் ராஜ அரமனையையும், தான் செய்யவேண்டும் என்று விரும்பின எல்லாவற்றையும் கட்டி முடித்தபின்பு,

1. And when Solomon had finished the buylding of the house of the Lorde, and the kinges palace, and all that he had in his minde & was appoynted to make:

2. கர்த்தர் கிபியோனிலே சாலொமோனுக்குத் தரிசனமானதுபோல, இரண்டாந்தரமும் அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமானார்.

2. The Lorde appeared to Solomon the second time, as he appeared vnto him at Gibeon.

3. கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ என் சமுகத்தில் செய்த உன் விண்ணப்பத்தையும் உன் வேண்டுதலையும் கேட்டேன்; நீ கட்டின இந்த ஆலயத்தில் என் நாமம் என்றைக்கும் விளங்கத்தக்கதாக, அதைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கினேன்; என் கண்களும் என் இருதயமும் எந்நாளும் அங்கேயிருக்கும்.

3. And ye Lord said vnto him, I haue heard thy prayer & thy intercession that thou hast made before me: For I haue halowed this house, which thou hast built to put my name there for euer, & mine eies & myne hearte shalbe there perpetually.

4. நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட எல்லாவற்றையும் நீ செய்து, என் கட்டளைகளையும் என் நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு, என் சமுகத்தில் மன உத்தமமும் செம்மையுமாய் உன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது நடந்ததுபோல நடப்பாயானால்,

4. And if thou wilt walke before me, as Dauid thy father walked, in purenes of heart and in righteousnes, to do all that I haue commaunded thee, and wilt kepe my statutes, and my lawes:

5. இஸ்ரவேலின் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் உட்காரும் புருஷன் உனக்கு இல்லாமற்போவதில்லை என்று உன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதோடே நான் சொன்னபடியே, இஸ்ரவேலின் மேலுள்ள உன் ராஜ்யபாரத்தின் சிங்காசனத்தை என்றைக்கும் நிலைக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்.

5. Then will I stablishe the seate of thy kingdome vpon Israel for euer, as I promised to Dauid thy father, saying: Thou shalt not be without a ma vpon the seate of Israel.

6. நீங்களும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளும் என்னைவிட்டுப் பின்வாங்கி, நான் உங்களுக்கு முன்வைத்த என் கற்பனைகளையும் என் கட்டளைகளையும் கைக்கொள்ளாமற்போய், வேறே தேவர்களைச் சேவித்து, அவைகளைப் பணிந்துகொள்வீர்களாகில்,

6. But and if ye and your children turne away from me, and will not kepe my commaundementes and my statutes whiche I haue set before you, but go and serue other gods, & worship them:

7. நான் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குக் கொடுத்த தேசத்திலே அவர்களை வைக்காதபடிக்கு நிர்மூலமாக்கி, என் நாமம் விளங்க நான் பரிசுத்தமாக்கின இந்த ஆலயத்தை என் சமுகத்தைவிட்டுத் தள்ளுவேன்; அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் சகல ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளும் பழமொழியாகவும் வசைச்சொல்லாகவும் இருப்பார்கள்.

7. Then will I weede Israel out of the lande which I haue geuen them, and this house which I haue halowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and Israel shalbe a prouerbe and a fable among all nations,

8. அப்பொழுது உன்னதமாயிருக்கிற இந்த ஆலயத்தைக் கடந்து போகிறவன் எவனும் பிரமித்து, பகிடியாய் ஈசலிட்டு: கர்த்தர் இந்த தேசத்துக்கும் இந்த ஆலயத்துக்கும் இப்படிச் செய்தது என்ன? என்று கேட்பார்கள்.
மத்தேயு 23:38

8. And this house shalbe taken away: so that euery one that passeth by it, shalbe astonied, and shall hysse, and they shall say: Why hath the Lord done thus vnto this lande, and to this house?

9. அதற்கு அவர்கள்: தங்கள் பிதாக்களை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின தங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை விட்டு. வேறே தேவர்களைப் பற்றிக் கொண்டு, அவர்களை நமஸ்கரித்துச் சேவித்தபடியினால், கர்த்தர் இந்தத் தீங்கையெல்லாம் அவர்கள்மேல் வரப்பண்ணினார் என்று சொல்லுவார்கள் என்றார்.

9. And they shal aunswere: Because they forsoke the Lorde their God, whiche brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and haue taken hold vpon other gods, and haue worshipped them, and serued them: therfore hath the Lorde brought vpon them all this euyll.

10. சாலொமோன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயமும் ராஜ அரமனையுமாகிய இரண்டு மாளிகைகளையும் கட்டி நிறைவேற்றுகிற இருபதாம் வருஷம் முடிவிலே,

10. And it fortuned, that at the ende of twentie yeres when Solomon had finished the buylding of the two houses, [that is to wyte,] the house of the Lorde and the kinges palace,

11. தன்னுடைய விருப்பத்தின்படியெல்லாம் தனக்குக் கேதுருமரங்களையும், தேவதாரி விருட்சங்களையும், பொன்னையும் கொடுத்துவந்த தீருவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஈராமுக்கு, ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் கலிலேயா நாட்டிலுள்ள இருபது பட்டணங்களைக் கொடுத்தான்.

11. (And Hiram the king of Tyre brought Solomon timbre of Cedar, & firre trees, golde, and whatsoeuer he desired) Then Solomon gaue Hiram twentie cities in the lande of Galilee.

12. ஈராம் தனக்குச் சாலொமோன் கொடுத்த பட்டணங்களைப் பார்க்கிறதற்குத் தீருவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு வந்தான்; அவைகளில் அவன் பிரியப்படவில்லை.

12. And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities whiche Solomon had geuen hym, and they pleased him not.

13. அதனாலே அவன்: என் சகோதரனே, நீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் என்ன பட்டணங்கள்? என்றான். அவைகளுக்கு இந்நாள்மட்டும் வழங்கி வருகிறபடி காபூல் நாடு என்று பேரிட்டான்.

13. And he sayde: What cities are these which thou hast geuen me my brother? And he called them the lande of barren vnto this day.

14. ஈராம் ராஜாவுக்கு நூற்றிருபது தாலந்து பொன் அனுப்பியிருந்தான்.

14. And Hiram sent the king sixe score talentes of gold.

15. பிடித்த அமஞ்சி ஆட்களைக்கொண்டு சாலொமோன் ராஜா தான் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தையும், தன் அரமனையையும், மில்லோவையும், எருசலேமின் மதிலையும், ஆத்சோரையும், மெகிதோவையும், கேசேரையும் கட்டினான்.

15. (And this is the summe whiche king Solomon raysed for a tribute when he buylded the house of the Lorde, and his owne house, and Millo, and the wall of Hierusalem, and Hazor, and Megeddo, and Gazer.

16. கேசேரை ஏன் கட்டினான் என்றால், எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோன் புறப்பட்டுவந்து, அந்தக் கேசேர் பட்டணத்தைப் பிடித்து, அதை அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்து, அதிலே குடியிருந்த கானானியரைக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அதைச் சாலொமோனின் மனைவியாகிய தன் குமாரத்திக்குச் சீதனமாகக் கொடுத்திருந்தான்.

16. For Pharao king of Egypt went vp, and toke Gazer and burnt it with fire, and slue the Chanaanites that dwelt in the citie, and gaue it for a present vnto his daughter, Solomons wyfe.

17. சாலொமோன் அந்தக் கேசேர்பட்டணத்தையும், கீழ்ப்பெத்தொரோனையும்,

17. And Solomon buylt Gazer & Bethhoron the neather,

18. பாலாத்தையும், வனாந்தர வெளியிலுள்ள தத்மோரையும்,

18. And Baalath and Thamar in the wildernesse in the lande:

19. தனக்கு இருக்கிற ரஸ்துக்களை வைக்கும் சகல பட்டணங்களையும், இரதங்கள் இருக்கும் பட்டணங்களையும், குதிரை வீரர் இருக்கும் பட்டணங்களையும், எருசலேமிலும் லீபனோனிலும், தான் அரசாண்ட தேசமெங்கும் தனக்கு இஷ்டமானதையெல்லாம் கட்டினான்.

19. And all the treasure cities that Solomon had, and cities for his charettes, and cities for his horsemen, and all that Solomon desired, and woulde buyld in Hierusalem, in Libanon, and in all the lande of his dominion)

20. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் சங்காரம் பண்ணக்கூடாமல் மீந்திருந்த இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் ஜாதியல்லாத எமோரியர், ஏத்தியர், பெரிசியர், ஏவியர், எபூசியருமான சகல ஜனத்திலும்,

20. And al the people that were left of the Amorites, Hethites, Pherezites, Heuites and Iebusites, whiche were not of the children of Israel,

21. அவர்களுக்குப் பிறகு தேசத்தில் மீந்திருந்த சகல ஜனங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளையும், சாலொமோன் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் நடக்கிறதுபோல, அமஞ்சி வேலை செய்ய அடிமைப்படுத்திக்கொண்டான்.

21. Their children that were left after them in the lande, whom the children of Israel also were not able to destroy: those dyd Solomon compell to bring tribute, vnto this day.

22. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் ஒருவரையும் சாலொமோன் அடிமைப்படுத்தவில்லை; அவர்கள் யுத்தமனுஷரும், அவனுக்குப் பணிவிடைக்காரரும், பிரபுக்களும், சேர்வைக்காரரும், இரதவீரரும், குதிரைவீரருமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

22. But of the children of Israel dyd Solomon make no bondmen: But they were men of warre, his ministers, his lordes, his captaynes, and rulers of his charettes, and his horsemen.

23. ஐந்நூற்றைம்பதுபேர் சாலொமோனின் வேலையை விசாரித்து, வேலையாட்களைக் கண்காணிக்கிறதற்குத் தலைமையான விசாரிப்புக்காரராயிருந்தார்கள்.

23. And these were the lordes that were set ouer Solomons worke [euen] fiue hundred were they and fiftie, and they ruled the people that wrought ye worke.

24. பார்வோனின் குமாரத்தி, தாவீதின் நகரத்திலிருந்து சாலொமோன் தனக்குக் கட்டின தன் மாளிகையிலே குடிவந்தாள்; அப்பொழுது மில்லோவைக் கட்டினான்.

24. And Pharaos daughter came vp out of the citie of Dauid, vnto her house which Solomon had buylt for her: and then dyd he also buylde Millo.

25. சாலொமோன் கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்தை முடித்தபின்பு, அவருக்குக் கட்டின பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் வருஷத்தில் மூன்றுமுறை சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும் சமாதான பலிகளையும் இட்டு, கர்த்தரின் சந்நிதியில் இருக்கிற பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தூபங்காட்டிவந்தான்.

25. And thryse a yere did Solomon offer burnt offringes & peace offringes vpon the aulter whiche he buylt vnto the Lorde, and he burnt incense vpon the aulter that was before the Lord, and so he finished the house.

26. ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் ஏதோம் தேசத்தில் சிவந்த சமுத்திரக்கரையிலே ஏலோத்துக்குச் சமீபத்திலுள்ள எசியோன்கேபேரிலே கப்பல்களைச் செய்வித்தான்.

26. And king Solomon made a nauie of shippes in Azion Gaber, which is beside Eloth, on the brinke of the red sea, in the lande of Edom.

27. அந்தக் கப்பல்களில் ஈராம் சமுத்திர யாத்திரையில் பழகின கப்பலாட்களாகிய தன் வேலைக்காரரைச் சாலொமோனுடைய வேலைக்காரரோடேகூட அனுப்பினான்.

27. And Hiram sent by shippe also of his seruauntes, that were shipmen and had knowledge of the sea, with the seruauntes of Solomon:

28. அவர்கள் ஓப்பீருக்குப்போய், அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து நானூற்று இருபது தாலந்து பொன்னை ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.

28. And they came to Ophir, and set from thence foure hundred and twentie talentes of golde, and brought it to king Solomon.
