1. I charge thee therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His Kingdom:

2. சமயம் வாய்த்தாலும் வாய்க்காவிட்டாலும் ஜாக்கிரதையாய்த் திருவசனத்தைப் பிரசங்கம்பண்ணு; எல்லா நீடிய சாந்தத்தோடும் உபதேசத்தோடும் கண்டனம்பண்ணி, கடிந்துகொண்டு, புத்தி சொல்லு.

2. preach the Word; be instant in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

3. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but having itching ears, they shall heap to themselves teachers in accordance with their own lusts.

4. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned toward fables.

5. நீயோ எல்லாவற்றிலும் மனத்தெளிவுள்ளவனாயிரு, தீங்கனுபவி, சுவிசேஷகனுடைய வேலையைச் செய், உன் ஊழியத்தை நிறைவேற்று.

5. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill thy ministry.

6. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

7. I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course; I have kept the faith.

8. இதுமுதல் நீதியின் கிரீடம் எனக்காக வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது, நீதியுள்ள நியாயாதிபதியாகிய கர்த்தர் அந்நாளிலே அதை எனக்குத் தந்தருளுவார்; எனக்கு மாத்திரமல்ல, அவர் பிரசன்னமாகுதலை விரும்பும் யாவருக்கும் அதைத் தந்தருளுவார்.

8. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me on that Day -- and not to me only, but unto all those also who love His appearing.

10. for Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

11. Only Luke is with me. Take Mark and bring him with thee, for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

13. The cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.

14. Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil; the Lord reward him according to his works.

15. Beware thou also of him, for he hath greatly withstood our words.

16. At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me. I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.

21. மாரிகாலத்துக்குமுன் நீ வந்து சேரும்படி ஜாக்கிரதைப்படு. ஐபூலுவும், புதேஞ்சும், லீனுவும், கலவுதியாளும், மற்றெல்லாச் சகோதரரும் உனக்கு வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.

21. Try with diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens and Linus and Claudia and all the brethren.

22. கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து உன் ஆவியுடனேகூட இருப்பாராக. கிருபை உங்களோடிருப்பதாக. ஆமென்.
