1. விதையடிக்கப்பட்டவனும், கோசமறுபட்டவனும் கர்த்தருடைய சபைக்கு உட்படலாகாது.

1. 'He whose testicles are crushed or whose male member is cut off shall not enter the assembly of the LORD.

2. வேசிப்பிள்ளையும் கர்த்தருடைய சபைக்கு உட்படலாகாது; அவனுக்குப் பத்தாம் தலைமுறையானவனும் கர்த்தருடைய சபைக்கு உட்படலாகாது.

2. 'No bastard shall enter the assembly of the LORD; even to the tenth generation none of his descendants shall enter the assembly of the LORD.

3. அம்மோனியனும் மோவாபியனும் கர்த்தருடைய சபைக்கு உட்படலாகாது; பத்தாம் தலைமுறையிலும் என்றைக்கும் அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய சபைக்கு உட்படலாகாது.

3. 'No Ammonite or Moabite shall enter the assembly of the LORD; even to the tenth generation none belonging to them shall enter the assembly of the LORD for ever;

4. நீங்கள் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு வருகிற வழியிலே, அவர்கள் அப்பத்தோடும், தண்ணீரோடும் உங்களுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு வராததினிமித்தமும், உன்னைச் சபிக்கும்படியாய் மெசொப்பொத்தாமியாவின் ஊராகிய பேத்தோரிலிருந்த பேயோரின் குமாரன் பிலேயாமுக்குக் கூலி பேசி அவனை அழைப்பித்ததினிமித்தமும் இப்படிச் செய்யவேண்டும்.

4. because they did not meet you with bread and with water on the way, when you came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.

5. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் பிலேயாமுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கச் சித்தமில்லாமல், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்மேல் அன்புகூர்ந்தபடியினால், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அந்தச் சாபத்தை உனக்கு ஆசீர்வாதமாக மாறப்பண்ணினார்.

5. Nevertheless the LORD your God would not hearken to Balaam; but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loved you.

6. நீ உன் ஆயுள் நாட்களுள்ளளவும் ஒருக்காலும் அவர்கள் சமாதானத்தையும் நன்மையையும் தேடாதே.

6. You shall not seek their peace or their prosperity all your days for ever.

7. ஏதோமியனை அருவருக்காயாக, அவன் உன் சகோதரன்; எகிப்தியனை அருவருக்காயாக, அவன் தேசத்திலே பரதேசியாயிருந்தாய்.

7. 'You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother; you shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you were a sojourner in his land.

8. மூன்றாம் தலைமுறையில் அவர்களுக்குப் பிறந்த பிள்ளைகள் கர்த்தருடைய சபைக்கு உட்படலாம்.

8. The children of the third generation that are born to them may enter the assembly of the LORD.

9. நீ படையெடுத்து உன் சத்துருக்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் புறப்படும்போது, தீதான காரியங்கள் எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் விலகியிருப்பாயாக.

9. 'When you go forth against your enemies and are in camp, then you shall keep yourself from every evil thing.

10. இராக்காலத்தில் சம்பவித்த தீட்டினாலே அசுத்தமாயிருக்கிற ஒருவன் உங்களிலிருந்தால், அவன் பாளயத்திற்கு வெளியே போய், பாளயத்திற்குள் வராமல்,

10. 'If there is among you any man who is not clean by reason of what chances to him by night, then he shall go outside the camp, he shall not come within the camp;

11. சாயங்காலத்திலே ஜலத்தில் ஸ்நானம்பண்ணி, சூரியன் அஸ்தமிக்கும்போது பாளயத்திற்குள் வரக்கடவன்.

11. but when evening comes on, he shall bathe himself in water, and when the sun is down, he may come within the camp.

12. நீ வெளிக்குப் போயிருக்கத்தக்க இடம் பாளயத்திற்குப் புறம்பே இருக்க வேண்டும்.

12. 'You shall have a place outside the camp and you shall go out to it;

13. உன் ஆயுதங்களோடே ஒரு சிறுகோலும் உன்னிடத்தில் இருக்கக்கடவது; நீ மலஜலாதிக்குப் போகும்போது, அதனால் மண்ணைத் தோண்டி, மலஜலாதிக்கிருந்து, உன்னிலிருந்து கழிந்து போனதை மூடிப்போடக்கடவாய்.

13. and you shall have a stick with your weapons; and when you sit down outside, you shall dig a hole with it, and turn back and cover up your excrement.

14. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை இரட்சிக்கவும், உன் சத்துருக்களை உனக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவும், உன் பாளயத்திற்குள்ளே உலாவிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்; ஆகையால், அவர் உன்னிடத்தில் அசுசியான காரியத்தைக் கண்டு, உன்னை விட்டுப் போகாதபடிக்கு, உன் பாளயம் சுத்தமாயிருக்கக்கடவது.

14. Because the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp, to save you and to give up your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy, that he may not see anything indecent among you, and turn away from you.

15. தன் எஜமானுக்குத் தப்பி உன்னிடத்தில் வந்த வேலைக்காரனை அவனுடைய எஜமான் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடாயாக.

15. 'You shall not give up to his master a slave who has escaped from his master to you;

16. அவன் உனக்கு இருக்கிற உன் வாசல்கள் ஒன்றிலே தனக்குச் சம்மதியான இடத்தைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, அதிலே உன்னுடனே இருப்பானாக; அவனை ஒடுக்கவேண்டாம்.

16. he shall dwell with you, in your midst, in the place which he shall choose within one of your towns, where it pleases him best; you shall not oppress him.

17. இஸ்ரவேலின் குமாரத்திகளில் ஒருத்தியும் வேசியாயிருக்கக்கூடாது; இஸ்ரவேலின் குமாரரில் ஒருவனும் ஆண்புணர்ச்சிக்காரனாயிருக்கக்கூடாது.

17. 'There shall be no cult prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a cult prostitute of the sons of Israel.

18. வேசிப்பணயத்தையும், நாயின் கிரயத்தையும் எந்தப் பொருத்தனையினாலாகிலும் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்திலே கொண்டுவராயாக; அவைகள் இரண்டும் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு அருவருப்பானவைகள்.

18. You shall not bring the hire of a harlot, or the wages of a dog, into the house of the LORD your God in payment for any vow; for both of these are an abomination to the LORD your God.

19. கடனாகக் கொடுக்கிற பணத்துக்கும், ஆகாரத்துக்கும், கடனாகக் கொடுக்கிற வேறே எந்தப் பொருளுக்கும், உன் சகோதரன் கையில் வட்டிவாங்காயாக.

19. 'You shall not lend upon interest to your brother, interest on money, interest on victuals, interest on anything that is lent for interest.

20. அந்நியன் கையில் நீ வட்டிவாங்கலாம்; நீ சுதந்தரிக்கப்போகிற தேசத்தில் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நீ கையிடும் வேலையிலெல்லாம் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிக்கும்படி உன் சகோதரன் கையிலே வட்டிவாங்காயாக.

20. To a foreigner you may lend upon interest, but to your brother you shall not lend upon interest; that the LORD your God may bless you in all that you undertake in the land which you are entering to take possession of it.

21. நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பொருத்தனைபண்ணியிருந்தால், அதைச் செலுத்தத் தாமதஞ்செய்யாதே; உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அதை நிச்சயமாய் உன் கையில் கேட்பார்; அது உனக்குப் பாவமாகும்.

21. 'When you make a vow to the LORD your God, you shall not be slack to pay it; for the LORD your God will surely require it of you, and it would be sin in you.

22. நீ பொருத்தனைபண்ணாதிருந்தால், உன்மேல் பாவம் இல்லை.

22. But if you refrain from vowing, it shall be no sin in you.

23. உன் வாயினால் சொன்னதை நிறைவேற்றவேண்டும்; உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு உன் வாயினால் நீ பொருத்தனைபண்ணிச் சொன்ன உற்சாகபலியைச் செலுத்தித் தீர்ப்பாயாக.

23. You shall be careful to perform what has passed your lips, for you have voluntarily vowed to the LORD your God what you have promised with your mouth.

24. நீ பிறனுடைய திராட்சத்தோட்டத்தில் பிரவேசித்தால், உன் ஆசைதீர திராட்சப்பழங்களைத் திருப்தியாகப் புசிக்கலாம்; உன் கூடையிலே ஒன்றும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போகக்கூடாது.

24. 'When you go into your neighbor's vineyard, you may eat your fill of grapes, as many as you wish, but you shall not put any in your vessel.

25. பிறனுடைய விளைச்சலில் பிரவேசித்தால், உன் கையினால் கதிர்களைக் கொய்யலாம்; நீ அந்த விளைச்சலில் அரிவாளை இடலாகாது.

25. When you go into your neighbor's standing grain, you may pluck the ears with your hand, but you shall not put a sickle to your neighbor's standing grain.
