1. மோசே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய கோத்திரங்களின் தலைவரை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிடுவது என்னவென்றால்:

1. And Moses spake vnto the heedes of the trybes of ye childern of Israel sayege: this is the thynge which the Lorde commaundeth.

2. ஒருவன் கர்த்தருக்கு யாதொரு பொருத்தனை பண்ணினாலும், அல்லது யாதொரு காரியத்தைச் செய்யும்படி ஆணையிட்டுத் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொண்டாலும், அவன் சொல்தவறாமல் தன் வாயிலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட வாக்கின்படியெல்லாம் செய்யக்கடவன்.

2. Yf a man vowe a vowe vnto the Lorde or swere an othe ad bynde his soule he shall not goo backe with his worde: but shal fulfyll all ye proceadeth out of his mouth

3. தன் தகப்பன் வீட்டிலிருக்கிற ஒரு பெண்பிள்ளை தன் சிறுவயதிலே கர்த்தருக்குப் பொருத்தனைபண்ணி யாதொரு காரியத்தைச் செய்யும்படி தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொண்டால்,

3. Yf a damsell vowe a vowe vnto ye Lorde and binde herselfe beynge in hir fathers housse and vnmaried:

4. அவள் செய்த பொருத்தனையையும், அவள் பண்ணிக்கொண்ட நிபந்தனையையும் அவளுடைய தகப்பன் கேட்டும் அவளுக்கு ஒன்றும் சொல்லாதிருப்பானானால், அவள் செய்த எல்லாப் பொருத்தனைகளும் அவள் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொண்ட நிபந்தனையும் நிறைவேறவேண்டும்.

4. Yf hir father heare hir vowe and bonde which she hath made vppon hir soule and holde his pease thereto: then all hir vowes and bodes which she hath made vppo hir soule shall stonde in effecte.

5. அவள் செய்த பொருத்தனைகளையும், அவள் செய்யும்படி தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்தின நிபந்தனையையும் அவளுடைய தகப்பன் கேட்கிற நாளில் அவன் வேண்டாம் என்று தடுத்தால், அது நிறைவேறவேண்டியதில்லை; அவளுடைய தகப்பன் வேண்டாம் என்று தடுத்தபடியால், கர்த்தர் அதை அவளுக்கு மன்னிப்பார்.

5. But and yf hir father forbyd her the same daye that he heareth it none of hir vowes nor bondes which she hath made vppon hir soule shalbe of value ad the Lorde shall forgeue her because hir father forbade her.

6. அவள் பொருத்தனை பண்ணும்போதும், தன் உதடுகளைத் திறந்து தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொள்ளும்போதும், அவளுக்குப் புருஷன் இருந்தால்,

6. Yf she had an husbonde when she vowed or pronounsed oughte out of hir lippes wherewith she bonde hir soule

7. அப்பொழுது அவளுடைய புருஷன் அதைக் கேட்டிருந்தும், அதைக் கேள்விப்படுகிற நாளில் அவளுக்கு ஒன்றும் சொல்லாதிருந்தால், அவளுடைய பொருத்தனைகளும் அவள் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்தின நிபந்தனையும் நிறைவேறவேண்டும்.

7. and hir husbonde herde it and helde his peace thereat the same daye he herde it: Then hir vowes and hir bondes wherewith she bounde hir soule shal stonde in effecte.

8. அவளுடைய புருஷன் அதைக் கேட்கிற நாளில் அவன் வேண்டாம் என்று தடுத்து, அவள் செய்த பொருத்தனையும் அவள் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொண்ட நிபந்தனையும் செல்லாதபடி செய்தானேயானால், அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் அதை அவளுக்கு மன்னிப்பார்.

8. But ad yf hir husbonde forbade her the same daye that he herde it than hath he made hir vowe which she had vppo her of none effecte and that also whiche she pronounsed with hir lippes wherewith she bounde hir soule and the Lorde shall forgeue her.

9. ஒரு விதவையாவது, தள்ளப்பட்டுப்போன ஒரு ஸ்திரீயாவது தன் ஆத்துமாவை எந்த நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொள்ளுகிறாளோ அந்த நிபந்தனை நிறைவேறவேண்டும்.

9. The vowe of a wedowe and of her that is deuorsed and all that they haue bound their soules with all shall stonde in effecte with them.

10. அவள் தன் புருஷனுடைய வீட்டில் யாதொரு பொருத்தனை பண்ணினாலும், அல்லது யாதொரு காரியத்தைச் செய்யும்படி ஆணையிட்டுத் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொண்டாலும்,

10. Yf she vowed in her husbandes housse or bounde her soule with an oth

11. அவளுடைய புருஷன் அதைக் கேட்டும் அவளுக்கு அதை வேண்டாமென்று தடுக்காமல் மவுனமாயிருந்தால், அவள் செய்த எல்லாப் பொருத்தனைகளும், அவள் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்தின எல்லா நிபந்தனைகளும் நிறைவேறவேண்டும்.

11. and her husbande herde it and helde his peace and forbade her not: then all her vowes and bondes wherewith she bound her soule shall stode.

12. அவளுடைய புருஷன் அவைகளைக்கேட்ட நாளில் அவைகளைச் செல்லாதபடி பண்ணினால், அப்பொழுது அவள் செய்த பொருத்தனைகளும், அவள் தன் ஆத்துமாவையுட்படுத்தின நிபந்தனையைக்குறித்து அவள் வாயிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டதொன்றும் நிறைவேறவேண்டியதில்லை; அவளுடைய புருஷன் அவைகளைச் செல்லாதபடி பண்ணினதினாலே கர்த்தர் அதை அவளுக்கு மன்னிப்பார்.

12. But yf her husbande disanulled them ye same daye that he herde them then nothing that proceded out of her lippes in vowes ad boundes wherewith she bounde her soule shall stonde in effecte: for her husbande hath lowsed them and the Lorde shall forgeue her.

13. எந்தப் பொருத்தனையையும், ஆத்துமாவைத் தாழ்மைப்படுத்தும்படி செய்யப்பட்ட எந்த ஆணையையும், அவளுடைய புருஷன் ஸ்திரப்படுத்தவுங்கூடும், செல்லாதபடி பண்ணவும் கூடும்.

13. All vowes and othes that binde to humble the soule maye her husbande stablish or breake.

14. அவளுடைய புருஷன் ஒருநாளும் அவளுக்கு ஒன்றும் சொல்லாதிருந்தானாகில், அவன் அவளுடைய எல்லாப் பொருத்தனைகளையும், அவள் பேரிலிருக்கிற அவளுடைய எல்லா நிபந்தனைகளையும் ஸ்திரப்படுத்துகிறான்; அவன் அதைக் கேட்ட நாளிலே அவளுக்கு ஒன்றும் சொல்லாமற்போனதினால், அவைகளை ஸ்திரப்படுத்துகிறான்.

14. But yf her husbande hold his peace from one daye vnto another then he stablisheth all her vowes and boundes whiche she had vppon her because he helde his peace the same daye that he herde them.

15. அவன் அவைகளைக் கேட்டபின்பு செல்லாதபடி பண்ணினால், அவளுடைய அக்கிரமத்தை அவன் சுமப்பான் என்றார்.

15. And yf he afterwarde breake them he shall beare her synne him self.

16. புருஷனையும், ஸ்திரீயையும், தகப்பனையும், தகப்பனுடைய வீட்டில் சிறு வயதில் இருக்கிற அவன் குமாரத்தியையும் குறித்து, கர்த்தர் மோசேக்கு விதித்த கட்டளைகள் இவைகளே.

16. These are the ordinaunces which ye Lorde commaunded Moses betwene a man and his wife and betwene the father and his doughter beyenge a damsell in hir fathers housse.
