1. கர்த்தர் மோசேயையும் ஆரோனையும் நோக்கி:

1. And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

2. கர்த்தர் கற்பித்த நியமப்பிரமாணமாவது: பழுதற்றதும் ஊனமில்லாததும் நுகத்தடிக்கு உட்படாததுமாகிய சிவப்பான ஒரு கிடாரியை உன்னிடத்தில் கொண்டுவரும்படி இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள்.

2. This is the constitution of the law, as the Lord has commanded, saying, Speak to the sons of Israel, and let them take for you a red heifer without spot, which has no spot on her, and on which no yoke has been put.

3. அதை எலெயாசார் என்னும் ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுங்கள்; அவன் அதைப் பாளயத்துக்கு வெளியே கொண்டுபோகக்கடவன்; அங்கே அது அவனுக்கு முன்பாகக் கொல்லப்படக்கடவது.

3. And you shall give her to Eleazar the priest; and they shall bring her out of the camp into a clean place, and shall kill her before his face.

4. அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசார் தன் விரலினால் அதின் இரத்தத்தில் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்கு எதிராக ஏழுதரம் தெளிக்கக்கடவன்.

4. And Eleazar shall take of her blood, and sprinkle of her blood seven times in front of the tabernacle of witness.

5. பின்பு கிடாரியை அவன் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக ஒருவன் சுட்டெரிக்கவேண்டும்; அதின் தோலும் அதின் மாம்சமும் அதின் இரத்தமும் அதின் சாணியும் சுட்டெரிக்கப்படவேண்டும்.

5. And they shall burn her to ashes before him; and her skin and her flesh and her blood, with her dung, shall be consumed.

6. அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியன் கேதுருக்கட்டையையும் ஈசோப்பையும் சிவப்பு நூலையும் எடுத்து, கிடாரி எரிக்கப்படுகிற நெருப்பின் நடுவிலே போடக்கடவன்.

6. And the priest shall take cedar wood and hyssop and scarlet wool, and they shall cast them into the midst of the burning of the heifer.

7. பின்பு ஆசாரியன் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்து, ஜலத்திலே ஸ்நானம்பண்ணி, அதின்பின்பு பாளயத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கக்கடவன்; ஆசாரியன் சாயங்காலமட்டும் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பான்.

7. And the priest shall wash his garments, and bathe his body in water, and afterwards he shall go into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean till evening.

8. அதைச் சுட்டெரித்தவனும் தன் வஸ்திரங்களை ஜலத்தில் தோய்த்து, ஜலத்திலே ஸ்நானம்பண்ணி, சாயங்காலமட்டும் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பான்.

8. And he that burns her shall wash his garments, and bathe his body, and shall be unclean till evening.

9. சுத்தமாயிருக்கிற ஒருவன் அந்தக்கிடாரியின் சாம்பலை வாரிக்கொண்டு, பாளயத்திற்குப் புறம்பே சுத்தமான ஒரு இடத்திலே கொட்டிவைக்கக்கடவன்; அது இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் சபைக்காகத் தீட்டுக்கழிக்கும் ஜலத்துக்கென்று காத்து வைக்கப்படவேண்டும்; அது பாவத்தைப் பரிகரிக்கும்.
எபிரேயர் 9:13

9. And a clean man shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up in a clean place outside the camp; and they shall be for the congregation of the children of Israel to keep: it is the water of sprinkling, a purification.

10. கிடாரியின் சாம்பலை வாரினவன் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்க்கக்கடவன்; அவன் சாயங்காலமட்டும் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பான்; இது இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கும் அவர்கள் நடுவிலே தங்குகிற அந்நியனுக்கும் நித்திய கட்டளையாயிருப்பதாக.

10. And he that gathers up the ashes of the heifer shall wash his garments, and shall be unclean until evening; and it shall be a perpetual statute for the children of Israel and for the strangers joined to them.

11. செத்துப்போனவனுடைய பிரேதத்தைத் தொட்டவன் ஏழுநாள் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பான்.

11. He that touches the dead body of any man, shall be unclean for seven days.

12. அவன் மூன்றாம் நாளிலும் ஏழாம் நாளிலும் தீட்டுக்கழிக்கும் ஜலத்தினால் தன்னைச் சுத்திகரிக்கக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது சுத்தமாவான்; மூன்றாம் நாளிலும் ஏழாம் நாளிலும் தன்னைச் சுத்திகரிக்காமலிருப்பானாகில் சுத்தமாகான்.

12. He shall be purified on the third day and the seventh day, and shall be clean; but if he is not purged on the third day and the seventh day, he shall not be clean.

13. செத்தவனுடைய பிரேதத்தைத் தொட்டும், தன்னைச் சுத்திகரித்துக்கொள்ளாதவன் கர்த்தரின் வாசஸ்தலத்தைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்துகிறான்; அந்த ஆத்துமா இஸ்ரவேலில் இராமல் அறுப்புண்டுபோவான்; தீட்டுக்கழிக்கும் ஜலம் அவன்மேல் தெளிக்கப்படாததினால், அவன் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பான்; அவன் தீட்டு இன்னும் அவன்மேல் இருக்கும்.
எபிரேயர் 9:10

13. Everyone that touches the body of a man who has died, and has not been purified, has defiled the tabernacle of the Lord: that soul shall be cut off from Israel, because the water of sprinkling has not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean, his uncleanness is yet upon him.

14. கூடாரத்தில் ஒரு மனிதன் செத்தால், அதற்கடுத்த நியமமாவது: அந்தக் கூடாரத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கிற யாவரும் கூடாரத்தில் இருக்கிற யாவரும் ஏழுநாள் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பார்கள்.

14. And this [is] the law; if a man die in a house, everyone that goes into the house, and all things in the house, shall be unclean for seven days.

15. மூடிக் கட்டப்படாமல் திறந்திருக்கும் பாத்திரங்கள் எல்லாம் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருக்கும்.

15. And every open vessel which has not a covering bound upon it, shall be unclean.

16. வெளியிலே பட்டயத்தால் வெட்டுண்டவனையாவது, செத்தவனையாவது, மனித எலும்பையாவது, பிரேதக்குழியையாவது, தொட்டவன் எவனும் ஏழுநாள் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பான்.

16. And everyone who shall touch a man slain by violence, or a corpse, or human bone, or tomb, shall be unclean for seven days.

17. ஆகையால் தீட்டுப்பட்டவனுக்காக, பாவத்தைப் பரிகரிக்கும் கிடாரியின் சாம்பலிலே கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, ஒரு பாத்திரத்தில் போட்டு, அதின்மேல் ஊற்று ஜலம் வார்க்கவேண்டும்.

17. And they shall take for the unclean of the burnt ashes of purification, and they shall pour upon them running water into a vessel.

18. சுத்தமான ஒருவன் ஈசோப்பை எடுத்து, அந்த ஜலத்திலே தோய்த்து, கூடாரத்தின்மேலும் அதிலுள்ள சகல பணிமுட்டுகளின்மேலும் அங்கேயிருக்கிற ஜனங்களின்மேலும் தெளிக்கிறதுமல்லாமல், எலும்பையாகிலும் வெட்டுண்டவனையாகிலும் செத்தவனையாகிலும் பிரேதக்குழியையாகிலும் தொட்டவன்மேலும் தெளிக்கக்கடவன்.

18. And a clean man shall take hyssop, and dip it into the water, and sprinkle it upon the house, and the furniture, and all the souls that are in there, and upon him that touched the human bone, or the slain man, or the corpse, or the tomb.

19. சுத்தமாயிருக்கிறவன் தீட்டுப்பட்டவன்மேல் மூன்றாம் நாளிலும் ஏழாம் நாளிலும் தெளிக்கவேண்டும்; ஏழாம் நாளில் இவன் தன்னைச் சுத்திகரித்து, தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்து, ஜலத்தில் ஸ்நானம்பண்ணி, சாயங்காலத்திலே சுத்தமாயிருப்பான்.

19. And the clean man shall sprinkle [the water] on the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day, and on the seventh day he shall purify himself; and [the other] shall wash his garments, and bathe himself in water, and shall be unclean until evening.

20. தீட்டுப்பட்டிருக்கிறவன் தன்னைச் சுத்திகரித்துக்கொள்ளாதிருந்தால், அவன் சபையில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டுபோவான்; அவன் கர்த்தரின் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தினான்; தீட்டுக்கழிக்கும் ஜலம் அவன்மேல் தெளிக்கப்படாததினால் அவன் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருக்கிறான்.

20. And whatever man shall be defiled and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from the midst of the congregation, because he has defiled the holy things of the Lord, because the water of sprinkling has not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.

21. தீட்டுக்கழிக்கும் ஜலத்தைத் தெளிக்கிறவனும் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்க்கக்கடவன்; தீட்டுக்கழிக்கும் ஜலத்தைத் தொட்டவனும் சாயங்காலமட்டும் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பான்.

21. And it shall be to you a perpetual statute; and he that sprinkles the water of sprinkling shall wash his garments; and he that touches the water of sprinkling shall be unclean until evening.

22. தீட்டுப்பட்டிருக்கிறவன் தொடுகிறவைகளெல்லாம் தீட்டுப்படும், அவைகளைத் தொடுகிறவனும் சாயங்காலமட்டும் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பான்; இது உங்களுக்கு நித்திய கட்டளையாயிருக்கும் என்றார்.

22. And whatsoever the unclean man shall touch shall be unclean, and the soul that touches it shall be unclean till evening.
