1. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2. குஷ்டரோகியினுடைய சுத்திகரிப்பின் நாளில் அவனுக்கடுத்த பிரமாணம் என்னவென்றால்: அவன் ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவரப்படவேண்டும்.

2. 'This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing. Now he shall be brought to the priest,

3. ஆசாரியன் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே போய்; குஷ்டரோகியின் குஷ்டவியாதி சொஸ்தமாயிற்று என்று கண்டால்,

3. and the priest shall go out to the outside of the camp. Thus the priest shall look, and if the infection of leprosy has been healed in the leper,

4. சுத்திகரிக்கப்படவேண்டியவனுக்காக, உயிரோடிருக்கும் சுத்தமான இரண்டு குருவிகளையும், கேதுருக் கட்டையையும், சிவப்புநூலையும், ஈசோப்பையும் வாங்கிவரக் கட்டைளையிடக்கடவன்.

4. then the priest shall give orders to take two live clean birds and cedar wood and a scarlet string and hyssop for the one who is to be cleansed.

5. 'The priest shall also give orders to slay the one bird in an earthenware vessel over running water.

6. உயிருள்ள குருவியையும், கேதுருக்கட்டையையும், சிவப்புநூலையும், ஈசோப்பையும் எடுத்து, இவைகளையும் உயிருள்ள குருவியையும் ஊற்றுநீர்மேல் கொல்லப்பட்ட குருவியின் இரத்தத்திலே தோய்த்து,

6. '[As for] the live bird, he shall take it together with the cedar wood and the scarlet string and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the live bird in the blood of the bird that was slain over the running water.

7. குஷ்டம் நீங்கச் சுத்திரிக்கப்படுகிறவன்மேல் ஏழுதரம் தெளித்து, அவனை சுத்தம்பண்ணி, உயிருள்ள குருவியை வெளியிலே விட்டுவிடக்கடவன்.

7. 'He shall then sprinkle seven times the one who is to be cleansed from the leprosy and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the live bird go free over the open field.

8. சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவன் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்து, தன் மயிர் முழுவதையும் சிரைத்து, தான் சுத்தமாகும்படி ஜலத்தில் ஸ்நானம்பண்ணி, பின்பு பாளயத்தில் பிரவேசித்து, தன் கூடாரத்துக்குப் புறம்பே ஏழுநாள் தங்கி,

8. 'The one to be cleansed shall then wash his clothes and shave off all his hair and bathe in water and be clean. Now afterward, he may enter the camp, but he shall stay outside his tent for seven days.

9. ஏழாம் நாளிலே தன் தலையையும் தாடியையும் புருவங்களையும் தன்னுடைய மயிர்முழுவதையும் சிரைத்து, தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்து, ஜலத்தில் ஸ்நானம்பண்ணவேண்டும்; அப்பொழுது சுத்தமாயிருப்பான்.

9. 'It will be on the seventh day that he shall shave off all his hair: he shall shave his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair. He shall then wash his clothes and bathe his body in water and be clean.

10. எட்டாம்நாளிலே அவன் பழுதற்ற இரண்டு ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், ஒருவயதான பழுதற்ற ஒரு பெண்ணாட்டுக்குட்டியையும், போஜனபலிக்காக எண்ணெயிலே பிசைந்த ஒரு மரக்காலில் பத்தில் மூன்று பங்காகிய மெல்லிய மாவையும், ஆழாக்கு எண்ணெயையும் கொண்டுவரக்கடவன்.

10. 'Now on the eighth day he is to take two male lambs without defect, and a yearling ewe lamb without defect, and three-tenths [of an] [ephah] of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, and one log of oil;

11. சுத்திகரிக்கிற ஆசாரியன் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படும் மனிதனையும் அவ்வஸ்துக்களையும் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலிலே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் நிறுத்தக்கடவன்.

11. and the priest who pronounces him clean shall present the man to be cleansed and the aforesaid before the LORD at the doorway of the tent of meeting.

12. பின்பு, ஆசாரியன் ஒரு ஆட்டுக்குட்டியைப் பிடித்து, அதையும் அந்த ஆழாக்கு எண்ணெயையும் குற்றநிவாரணபலியாகக் கொண்டுவந்து, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அசைவாட்டும் பலியாக அசைவாட்டி,

12. 'Then the priest shall take the one male lamb and bring it for a guilt offering, with the log of oil, and present them as a wave offering before the LORD.

13. பாவநிவாரணபலியும் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியும் இடும் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலே அந்த ஆட்டுக்குட்டியைக் கொல்லக்கடவன்; குற்றநிவாரணபலி பாவநிவாரணபலியைப்போல ஆசாரியனுக்கு உரியது; அது மகா பரிசுத்தமானது.

13. 'Next he shall slaughter the male lamb in the place where they slaughter the sin offering and the burnt offering, at the place of the sanctuary-- for the guilt offering, like the sin offering, belongs to the priest; it is most holy.

14. அந்த குற்றநிவாரணபலியின் இரத்தத்தில் ஆசாரியன் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவன் வலதுகாதின் மடலிலும், அவன் வலதுகையின் பெருவிரலிலும், வலதுகாலின் பெருவிரலிலும் பூசக்கடவன்.

14. 'The priest shall then take some of the blood of the guilt offering, and the priest shall put [it] on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

15. பின்பு, ஆசாரியன் அந்த ஆழாக்கு எண்ணெயிலே கொஞ்சம் தன் இடதுகையில் வார்த்து,

15. 'The priest shall also take some of the log of oil, and pour [it] into his left palm;

16. தன் இடதுகையிலுள்ள எண்ணெயில் தன் வலதுகையின் விரலைத் தோய்த்து, தன் விரலினால் ஏழுதரம் அந்த எண்ணெயில் எடுத்து, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் தெளித்து,

16. the priest shall then dip his right-hand finger into the oil that is in his left palm, and with his finger sprinkle some of the oil seven times before the LORD.

17. தன் உள்ளங்கையில் இருக்கிற மீதியான எண்ணெயிலே கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து சுத்திகரிக்கபடுகிறவன் வலதுகாதின் மடலிலும், அவன் வலதுகையின் பெருவிரலிலும், வலதுகாலின் பெருவிரலிலும், முந்தப் பூசியிருக்கிற குற்றநிவாரண பலியினுடைய இரத்தத்தின்மேல் பூசி,

17. 'Of the remaining oil which is in his palm, the priest shall put some on the right ear lobe of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the blood of the guilt offering;

18. தன் உள்ளங்கையில் இருக்கிற மீதியான எண்ணெயைச் சுத்திகரிக்கபடுகிறவன் தலையிலே வார்த்து, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அவனுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்.

18. while the rest of the oil that is in the priest's palm, he shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed. So the priest shall make atonement on his behalf before the LORD.

19. ஆசாரியன் பாவநிவாரணபலியையும் செலுத்தி, சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவனின் தீட்டு நீங்க, அவனுக்குப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்து, பின்பு சர்வாங்கதகனபலியைக் கொன்று,

19. 'The priest shall next offer the sin offering and make atonement for the one to be cleansed from his uncleanness. Then afterward, he shall slaughter the burnt offering.

20. சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும் போஜனபலியையும் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் வைத்து, அவனுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது அவன் சுத்தமாயிருப்பான்.

20. 'The priest shall offer up the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar. Thus the priest shall make atonement for him, and he will be clean.

21. அவன் இம்மாத்திரம் செய்யத்திராணியற்ற தரித்திரனாயிருந்தால், அவன் தன் பாவநிவிர்த்திக்கென்று அசைவாட்டும் குற்றநிவாரணபலியாக ஒரு ஆட்டுக்குட்டியையும், போஜனபலிக்கு எண்ணெயில் பிசைந்த ஒரு மரக்கால் மெல்லிய மாவிலே பத்தில் ஒரு பங்கையும், ஆழாக்கு எண்ணெயையும்,

21. 'But if he is poor and his means are insufficient, then he is to take one male lamb for a guilt offering as a wave offering to make atonement for him, and one-tenth [of an] [ephah] of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, and a log of oil,

22. தன் திராணிக்குத் தக்கபடி இரண்டு காட்டுப்புறாக்களையாவது இரண்டு புறாக்குஞ்சுகளையாவது, ஒன்று பாவநிவாரணபலியாகவும், மற்றொன்று சர்வாங்கதகனபலியாகவும் செலுத்தும்படி வாங்கி,

22. and two turtledoves or two young pigeons which are within his means, the one shall be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.

23. தான் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படும்படி எட்டாம் நாளில் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலிலே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் ஆசாரியனிடத்துக்குக் கொண்டுவருவானாக.

23. 'Then the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing to the priest, at the doorway of the tent of meeting, before the LORD.

24. அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியன் குற்றநிவாரணபலிக்குரிய ஆட்டுக்குட்டியையும் அந்த ஆழாக்கு எண்ணெயையும் வாங்கி, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அசைவாட்டும் போஜனபலியாக அசைவாட்டி,

24. 'The priest shall take the lamb of the guilt offering and the log of oil, and the priest shall offer them for a wave offering before the LORD.

25. குற்றநிவாரணபலிக்கான அந்த ஆட்டுக்குட்டியைக் கொன்று, குற்றநிவாரணபலியின் இரத்தத்தில் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவன் வலதுகாதின் மடலிலும், அவன் வலதுகையின் பெருவிரலிலும், வலதுகாலின் பெருவிரலிலும் பூசி,

25. 'Next he shall slaughter the lamb of the guilt offering; and the priest is to take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put [it] on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

26. அந்த எண்ணெயிலே கொஞ்சம் தன் இடதுகையில் வார்த்து,

26. 'The priest shall also pour some of the oil into his left palm;

27. தன் இடதுகையிலுள்ள எண்ணெயிலே தன் வலதுவிரலைத் தோய்த்து, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் ஏழுதரம் தெளித்து,

27. and with his right-hand finger the priest shall sprinkle some of the oil that is in his left palm seven times before the LORD.

28. தன் உள்ளங்கையில் இருக்கிற எண்ணெயில் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்துச் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவன் வலதுகாதின் மடலிலும், அவன் வலதுகையின் பெருவிரலிலும், வலதுகாலின் பெருவிரலிலும் குற்றநிவாரணபலியின் இரத்தம் பூசியிருக்கிற இடத்தின்மேல் பூசி,

28. 'The priest shall then put some of the oil that is in his palm on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the guilt offering.

29. தன் உள்ளங்கையில் இருக்கிற மற்ற எண்ணெயைச் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவன் தலையின்மேல் அவனுக்காகக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்படி தடவி,

29. 'Moreover, the rest of the oil that is in the priest's palm he shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed, to make atonement on his behalf before the LORD.

30. பின்பு, அவன் தன் திராணிக்கும் தகுதிக்கும் தக்கதாய் காட்டுப்புறாக்களையாவது புறாக்குஞ்சுகளையாவது கொண்டுவந்து,

30. 'He shall then offer one of the turtledoves or young pigeons, which are within his means.

31. அவைகளில் ஒன்றைப் பாவநிவாரணபலியும், மற்றொன்றைச் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியுமாக்கி, போஜனபலியோடேகூடச் செலுத்தி, இப்படியே ஆசாரியன் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவனுக்காக, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்.

31. '[He shall offer] what he can afford, the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering, together with the grain offering. So the priest shall make atonement before the LORD on behalf of the one to be cleansed.

32. தன் சுத்திகரிப்புக்கு வேண்டியவைகளைச் சம்பாதிக்கக்கூடாத குஷ்டரோகியைக் குறித்த பிரமாணம் இதுவே என்றார்.

32. 'This is the law [for him] in whom there is an infection of leprosy, whose means are limited for his cleansing.'

33. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயையும் ஆரோனையும் நோக்கி:

33. The LORD further spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying:

34. நான் உங்களுக்குக் காணியாட்சியாகக் கொடுக்கும் கானான் தேசத்திலே நீங்கள் போய்ச் சேர்ந்தபின்பு, உங்கள் காணியாட்சியான தேசத்தில் ஒரு வீட்டிலே குஷ்டரோகத்தை நான் வரப்பண்ணினால்,

34. 'When you enter the land of Canaan, which I give you for a possession, and I put a mark of leprosy on a house in the land of your possession,

35. அந்த வீட்டிற்கு உடையவன் வந்து, வீட்டிலே தோஷம் வந்திருக்கிறதாகத் தோன்றுகிறது என்று ஆசாரியனுக்கு அறிவிக்கக்கடவன்.

35. then the one who owns the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, '[Something] like a mark [of leprosy] has become visible to me in the house.'

36. அப்பொழுது வீட்டிலுள்ள யாவும் தீட்டுப்படாதபடிக்கு, ஆசாரியன் அந்தத் தோஷத்தைப் பார்க்கப் போகும்முன்னே வீட்டை ஒழித்துவைக்கும்படி சொல்லி, பின்பு வீட்டைப் பார்க்கும்படி போய்,

36. 'The priest shall then command that they empty the house before the priest goes in to look at the mark, so that everything in the house need not become unclean; and afterward the priest shall go in to look at the house.

37. அந்தத் தோஷம் இருக்கிற இடத்தைப் பார்க்கக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது வீட்டுச் சுவர்களிலே கொஞ்சம் பச்சையும் கொஞ்சம் சிவப்புமான குழி விழுந்திருந்து, அவைகள் மற்றச் சுவரைப்பார்க்கிலும் பள்ளமாயிருக்கக்கண்டால்,

37. 'So he shall look at the mark, and if the mark on the walls of the house has greenish or reddish depressions and appears deeper than the surface,

38. ஆசாரியன் வீட்டைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு வாசற்படியிலே வந்து, வீட்டை ஏழுநாள் அடைத்துவைத்து,

38. then the priest shall come out of the house, to the doorway, and quarantine the house for seven days.

39. ஏழாம்நாளிலே திரும்பப் போய்ப்பார்த்து, தோஷம் வீட்டுச் சுவர்களில் படர்ந்ததென்று கண்டால்,

39. 'The priest shall return on the seventh day and make an inspection. If the mark has indeed spread in the walls of the house,

40. தோஷம் இருக்கும் அவ்விடத்துக்கல்லுகளைப் பெயர்க்கவும், பட்டணத்துக்குப் புறம்பே அசுத்தமான ஒரு இடத்திலே போடவும் அவன் கட்டளையிட்டு,

40. then the priest shall order them to tear out the stones with the mark in them and throw them away at an unclean place outside the city.

41. வீட்டை உள்ளே சுற்றிலும் செதுக்கச்சொல்லி, செதுக்கிப்போட்ட மண்ணைப் பட்டணத்துக்குப் புறம்பே அசுத்தமான ஒரு இடத்திலே கொட்டவும்,

41. 'He shall have the house scraped all around inside, and they shall dump the plaster that they scrape off at an unclean place outside the city.

42. வேறே கல்லுகளை எடுத்துவந்து, அந்தக் கல்லுகளுக்குப் பதிலாகக் கட்டி, வேறே சாந்தை எடுத்து வீட்டைப் பூசவும் கட்டளையிடுவானாக.

42. 'Then they shall take other stones and replace [those] stones, and he shall take other plaster and replaster the house.

43. கல்லுகளைப் பெயர்த்து, வீட்டைச்செதுக்கி, நவமாய்ப் பூசினபின்பும், அந்தத் தோஷம் திரும்ப வீட்டில் வந்ததானால்,

43. 'If, however, the mark breaks out again in the house after he has torn out the stones and scraped the house, and after it has been replastered,

44. ஆசாரியன் போய்ப் பார்க்கக்கடவன்; தோஷம் வீட்டில் படர்ந்ததானால், அது வீட்டை அரிக்கிற குஷ்டம்; அது தீட்டாயிருக்கும்.

44. then the priest shall come in and make an inspection. If he sees that the mark has indeed spread in the house, it is a malignant mark in the house; it is unclean.

45. ஆகையால் வீடுமுழுவதையும் இடித்து, அதின் கல்லுகளையும், மரங்களையும், அதின் சாந்து எல்லாவற்றையும் பட்டணத்துக்குப் புறம்பே அசுத்தமான இடத்திலே கொண்டுபோகவேண்டும்.

45. 'He shall therefore tear down the house, its stones, and its timbers, and all the plaster of the house, and he shall take [them] outside the city to an unclean place.

46. வீடு அடைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் நாட்களில் அதற்குள் பிரவேசிக்கிறவன் சாயங்காலம்மட்டும் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பான்.

46. 'Moreover, whoever goes into the house during the time that he has quarantined it, becomes unclean until evening.

47. அந்த வீட்டிலே படுத்தவன் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்க்கக்கடவன்; அந்த வீட்டிலே சாப்பிட்டவனும் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்க்கக்கடவன்.

47. 'Likewise, whoever lies down in the house shall wash his clothes, and whoever eats in the house shall wash his clothes.

48. ஆசாரியன் திரும்ப வந்து, வீடு பூசப்பட்டபின்பு வீட்டிலே அந்தத் தோஷம் படரவில்லை என்று கண்டானேயாகில், தோஷம் நிவிர்த்தியானபடியால், ஆசாரியன் அந்த வீட்டைச் சுத்தம் என்று தீர்க்கக்கடவன்.

48. 'If, on the other hand, the priest comes in and makes an inspection and the mark has not indeed spread in the house after the house has been replastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean because the mark has not reappeared.

49. அப்பொழுது வீட்டிற்குத் தோஷங்கழிக்க, இரண்டு குருவிகளையும், கேதுருக்கட்டையையும், சிவப்புநூலையும், ஈசோப்பையும் எடுத்து,

49. 'To cleanse the house then, he shall take two birds and cedar wood and a scarlet string and hyssop,

50. ஒரு குருவியை ஒரு மண்பாண்டத்திலுள்ள ஊற்றுநீரின்மேல் கொன்று,

50. and he shall slaughter the one bird in an earthenware vessel over running water.

51. கேதுருக்கட்டையையும், ஈசோப்பையும், சிவப்புநூலையும், உயிருள்ள குருவியையும் எடுத்து, இவைகளைக் கொல்லப்பட்ட குருவியின் இரத்தத்திலும் ஊற்று நீரிலும் தோய்த்து, வீட்டின்மேல் ஏழுதரம் தெளித்து,

51. 'Then he shall take the cedar wood and the hyssop and the scarlet string, with the live bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird as well as in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times.

52. குருவியின் இரத்தத்தினாலும், ஊற்றுநீரினாலும், உயிருள்ள குருவியினாலும், கேதுருக்கட்டையினாலும் ஈசோப்பினாலும், சிவப்புநூலினாலும் வீட்டிற்குத் தோஷங்கழித்து,

52. 'He shall thus cleanse the house with the blood of the bird and with the running water, along with the live bird and with the cedar wood and with the hyssop and with the scarlet string.

53. உயிருள்ள குருவியைப் பட்டணத்துக்குப் புறம்பே வெளியிலே விட்டுவிட்டு, இப்படி வீட்டிற்குப் பிராயச்சித்தம் செய்யக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது அது சுத்தமாயிருக்கும்.

53. 'However, he shall let the live bird go free outside the city into the open field. So he shall make atonement for the house, and it will be clean.'

54. இது சகலவித குஷ்டரோகத்துக்கும், சொறிக்கும்,

54. This is the law for any mark of leprosy-- even for a scale,

55. வஸ்திரக் குஷ்டத்துக்கும், வீட்டுக்குஷ்டத்துக்கும்,

55. and for the leprous garment or house,

56. தடிப்புக்கும், அசறுக்கும், வெள்ளைப்படருக்கும் அடுத்த பிரமாணம்.

56. and for a swelling, and for a scab, and for a bright spot--

57. குஷ்டம் எப்பொழுது தீட்டுள்ளது என்றும், எப்பொழுது தீட்டில்லாதது என்றும் தெரிவிப்பதற்குக் குஷ்டரோகத்துக்கு அடுத்த பிரமாணம் இதுவே என்றார்.

57. to teach when they are unclean and when they are clean. This is the law of leprosy.
