1. பின்பு ஆரோனின் குமாரராகிய நாதாபும் அபியூவும் தன்தன் தூபகலசத்தை எடுத்து, அவைகளில் அக்கினியையும் அதின்மேல் தூபவர்க்கத்தையும் போட்டு, கர்த்தர் தங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடாத அந்நிய அக்கினியை அவருடைய சந்நிதியில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.

1. And Nadab and Abiu, the sons of Aaron, taking their censers, put fire therein, and incense on it, offering before the Lord strange fire: which was not commanded them.

2. அப்பொழுது அக்கினி கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, அவர்களைப் பட்சித்தது; அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் செத்தார்கள்.

2. And fire coming out from the Lord destroyed them, and they died before the Lord.

3. அப்பொழுது மோசே ஆரோனை நோக்கி: என்னிடத்தில் சேருகிறவர்களால் நான் பரிசுத்தம் பண்ணப்பட்டு, சகல ஜனங்களுக்கும் முன்பாக நான் மகிமைப்படுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொன்னது இதுதான் என்றான்; ஆரோன் பேசாதிருந்தான்.

3. And Moses said to Aaron: This is what the Lord hath spoken: I will be sanctified in them that approach to me, and I will be glorified in the sight of all the people. And when Aaron heard this, he held his peace.

4. பின்பு மோசே ஆரோனின் சிறிய தகப்பனான ஊசியேலின் குமாரராகிய மீசவேலையும் எல்சாபானையும் அழைத்து: நீங்கள் கிட்டவந்து, உங்கள் சகோதரரைப் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்கு முன்னின்று எடுத்து, பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே கொண்டுபோங்கள் என்றான்.

4. And Moses called Misael and Elisaphan, the sons of Oziel, the uncle of Aaron, and said to them: Go and take away your brethren from before the sanctuary, and carry them without the camp.

5. மோசே சொன்னபடி அவர்கள் கிட்டவந்து, அவர்களை அவர்கள் உடுத்தியிருந்த சட்டைகளோடும் எடுத்துப் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.

5. And they went forthwith and took them as they lay, vested with linen tunicks, and cast them forth, as had been commanded them.

6. மோசே ஆரோனையும் எலெயாசார் இத்தாமார் என்னும் அவன் குமாரரையும் நோக்கி: நீங்கள் சாகாதபடிக்கும், சபையனைத்தின்மேலும் கடுங்கோபம் வராதபடிக்கும், நீங்கள் உங்கள் தலைப்பாகையை எடுத்துப்போடாமலும், உங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களைக் கிழிக்காமலும் இருப்பீர்களாக; உங்கள் சகோதரராகிய இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தார் யாவரும் கர்த்தர் கொளுத்தின இந்த அக்கினிக்காகப் புலம்புவார்களாக.

6. And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons: Uncover not your heads, and rend not your garments, lest perhaps you die, and indignation come upon all the congregation. Let your brethren, and all the house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord has kindled:

7. நீங்கள் சாகாதபடிக்கு ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரவாசலிலிருந்து புறப்படாதிருங்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய அபிஷேகதைலம் உங்கள்மேல் இருக்கிறதே என்றான்; அவர்கள் மோசேயினுடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே செய்தார்கள்.

7. But you shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle, otherwise you shall perish, for the oil of the holy unction is on you. And they did all things according to the precept of Moses.

8. கர்த்தர் ஆரோனை நோக்கி:

8. The Lord also said to Aaron:

9. நீயும் உன்னோடேகூட உன் குமாரரும் சாகாதிருக்கவேண்டுமானால், ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கிறபோது, திராட்சரசத்தையும் மதுவையும் குடிக்கவேண்டாம்.

9. You shall not drink wine nor any thing that may make drunk, thou nor thy sons, when you enter into the tabernacle of the testimony, lest you die: because it is an everlasting precept through your generations:

10. பரிசுத்தமுள்ளதற்கும் பரிசுத்தமில்லாததற்கும், தீட்டுள்ளதற்கும் தீட்டில்லாததற்கும், வித்தியாசம் பண்ணும்படிக்கும்,

10. And that you may have knowledge to discern between holy and unholy, between unclean and clean:

11. கர்த்தர் மோசேயைக்கொண்டு இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொன்ன சகலபிரமாணங்களையும் அவர்களுக்குப் போதிக்கும்படிக்கும், இது உங்கள் தலைமுறைதோறும் நித்திய கட்டளையாயிருக்கும் என்றார்.

11. And may teach the children of Israel all my ordinances which the Lord hath spoken to them by the hand of Moses.

12. மோசே ஆரோனையும் மீதியாயிருந்த அவன் குமாரராகிய எலெயாசாரையும் இத்தாமாரையும் நோக்கி: நீங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய தகனபலிகளில் மீதியான போஜனபலியை எடுத்து, பலிபீடத்தண்டையிலே புளிப்பில்லாததாகப் புசியுங்கள்; அது மகா பரிசுத்தமானது.

12. And Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons that were left: Take the sacrifice that is remaining of the oblation of the Lord, and eat it without leaven beside the altar, because it is holy of holies.

13. அதைப் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலே புசியுங்கள்; அது கர்த்தருடைய தகனபலிகளில் உனக்கும் உன் குமாரருக்கும் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டதாயிருக்கிறது; இப்படிக்கட்டளை பெற்றிருக்கிறேன்.

13. And you shall eat it in a holy place: which is given to thee and thy sons of the oblations of the Lord, as it hath been commanded me.

14. அசைவாட்டும் மார்க்கண்டத்தையும், ஏறெடுத்துப் படைக்கும் முன்னந்தொடையையும், நீயும் உன்னோடேகூட உன் குமாரரும் குமாரத்திகளும் சுத்தமான ஸ்தலத்திலே புசிப்பீர்களாக; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய சமாதானபலிகளில் அவைகள் உனக்கும் உன் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் கிடைக்கும்படி ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

14. The breast also that is offered, and the shoulder that is separated, you shall eat in a most clean place, thou and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee. For they are set aside for thee and thy children, of the victims of peace offerings of the children of Israel:

15. கொழுப்பாகிய தகனபலிகளோடே அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அசைவாட்டும் பலியாக அசைவாட்டும்படி ஏறெடுத்துப் படைக்கும் முன்னந்தொடையையும், அசைவாட்டும் மார்க்கண்டத்தையும் கொண்டுவருவார்கள்; அது கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே உனக்கும் உன் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் நித்திய கட்டளையாக ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறது என்றான்.

15. Because they have elevated before the Lord the shoulder and the breast, and the fat that is burnt on the altar, and they belong to thee and to thy sons by a perpetual law, as the Lord hath commanded.

16. பாவநிவாரணபலியாகச் செலுத்தப்பட்ட வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவை மோசே தேடிப்பார்த்தான்; அது தகனிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது; ஆகையால், மீதியாயிருந்த எலெயாசார் இத்தாமார் என்னும் ஆரோனின் குமாரர்மேல் அவன் கோபங்கொண்டு:

16. While these things were a doing, when Moses sought for the buck goat, that had been offered for sin, he found it burnt: and being angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron that were left, he said:

17. பாவநிவாரணபலியை நீங்கள் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தில் புசியாமற்போனதென்ன? அது மகா பரிசுத்தமாயிருக்கிறதே; சபையின் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமந்து தீர்ப்பதற்குக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அவர்களுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்பொருட்டு, அதை உங்களுக்கு கொடுத்தாரே.

17. Why did you not eat in the holy place the sacrifice for sin, which is most holy, and given to you, that you may bear the iniquity of the people, and may pray for them in the sight of the Lord,

18. அதின் இரத்தம் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குள்ளே கொண்டுவரப்படவில்லையே; நான் கட்டளையிட்டபடி நீங்கள் அதைப்பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தில் புசிக்கவேண்டியதாயிருந்ததே என்றான்.

18. Especially whereas none of the blood thereof hath been carried within the holy places, and you ought to have eaten it in the sanctuary, as was commanded me?

19. அப்பொழுது ஆரோன் மோசையை நோக்கி: அவர்கள் தங்கள் பாவநிவாரணபலியையும், தங்கள் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் செலுத்தின இன்றுதானே எனக்கு இப்படி நேரிட்டதே; பாவநிவாரணபலியை இன்று நான் புசித்தேனானால், அது கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்கு நன்றாய் இருக்குமோ என்றான்.

19. Aaron answered: This day hath been offered the victim for sin, and the holocaust before the Lord: and to me what thou seest has happened: how could I eat it, or please the Lord in the ceremonies, having a sorrowful heart?

20. மோசே அதைக் கேட்டபோது அமைதலாயிருந்தான்.

20. Which when Moses had heard he was satisfied.
