1. நீதியைப் பின்பற்றி கர்த்தரைத் தேடுகிற நீங்கள் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; நீங்கள் வெட்டி எடுக்கப்பட்ட கன்மலையையும், நீங்கள் தோண்டி எடுக்கப்பட்ட துரவின் குழியையும் நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள்.

1. 'Listen to me, you who are following what is right and good, and who are looking for the Lord. Look to the rock from which you were cut out, and to the hole from which you were dug.

2. உங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமையும், உங்களைப் பெற்ற சாராளையும் நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள்; அவன் ஒருவனாயிருக்கையில் நான் அவனை அழைத்து, அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்து, அவனைப் பெருகப்பண்ணினேன்.

2. Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who gave birth to you in pain. When he was but one, I called him. Then I brought good to him and made him many.'

3. For the Lord will comfort Zion. He will comfort all her waste places. He will make her desert like Eden, like the garden of the Lord. Joy and happiness will be found in her. There will be much giving of thanks and much singing.

4. என் ஜனங்களே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; என் ஜாதியாரே, என் வாக்கைக் கவனியுங்கள்; வேதம் என்னிலிருந்து வெளிப்படும்; என் பிரமாணத்தை ஜனங்களின் வெளிச்சமாக ஸ்தாபிப்பேன்.

4. Listen to Me, O My people. Hear Me, O My nation. The Law will go out from Me and My Law will be a light to the people.

5. என் நீதி சமீபமாயிருக்கிறது; என் இரட்சிப்பு வெளிப்படும்; என் புயங்கள் ஜனங்களை நியாயந்தீர்க்கும்; தீவுகள் எனக்குக் காத்திருந்து, என் புயத்தின்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிருக்கும்.

5. My being right and good is near. My saving power has gone out, and My arms will judge the people. The islands will wait for Me. They will trust with hope for My arm.

6. உங்கள் கண்களை வானத்துக்கு ஏறெடுங்கள், கீழே இருக்கிற பூமியையும் நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள்; வானம் புகையைப்போல் ஒழிந்துபோம், பூமி வஸ்திரத்தைப்போல் பழசாய்ப்போகும்; அதின் குடிகளும் அப்படியே ஒழிந்துபோவார்கள்; என் இரட்சிப்போ என்றென்றைக்கும் இருக்கும்; என் நீதி அற்றுப்போவதில்லை.

6. Lift up your eyes to the sky, and look to the earth below. For the sky will go away like smoke. And the earth will wear out like a piece of clothing and those who live in it will die like flies. But My saving power will be forever. My being right and good will not come to an end.

7. நீதியை அறிந்தவர்களே, என் வேதத்தை இருதயத்தில் பதித்திருக்கிற ஜனங்களே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; மனுஷரின் நிந்தனைக்குப் பயப்படாமலும், அவர்கள் தூஷணங்களால் கலங்காமலும் இருங்கள்.

7. Listen to Me, you who know what is right and good, you people who have My Law in your hearts. Do not fear the shame of strong words from man. Do not be troubled when they speak against you.

8. பொட்டுப்பூச்சி அவர்களை வஸ்திரத்தைப்போல் அரித்து, புழு அவர்களை ஆட்டுமயிரைப்போல் தின்னும்; என்னுடைய நீதியோ என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைக்கும், என் இரட்சிப்பு தலைமுறை தலைமுறைதோறும் இருக்கும்.

8. For the moth will eat them like a piece of clothing. And the worm will eat them like wool. But My being right and good will be forever. My saving power will be to all children's children to come.'

9. எழும்பு, எழும்பு, பெலன்கொள்; கர்த்தரின் புயமே, முந்தின நாட்களிலும் பூர்வ தலைமுறைகளிலும் எழும்பினபடி எழும்பு; இராகாபைத் துண்டித்ததும் வலுசர்ப்பத்தை வதைத்ததும் நீதானல்லவோ?

9. Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord. Awake as in the days of old, as You did with the people who lived long ago. Was it not You Who cut Rahab in pieces, and Who cut through the big snake-like animal?

10. மகா ஆழத்தின் தண்ணீர்களாகிய சமுத்திரத்தை வற்றிப்போகப்பண்ணினதும், மீட்கப்பட்டவர்கள் கடந்துபோகக் கடலின் பள்ளங்களை வழியாக்கினதும் நீதானல்லவோ?

10. Was it not You Who dried up the sea, the deep waters, and Who made a path through the deep sea for Your saved people to cross over?

11. அப்படியே கர்த்தரால் மீட்கப்பட்டவர்கள் ஆனந்தக்களிப்புடன் பாடி சீயோனுக்குத் திரும்பிவருவார்கள்; நித்திய மகிழ்ச்சி அவர்கள் தலையின்மேல் இருக்கும்; சந்தோஷமும் மகிழ்ச்சியும் அடைவார்கள்; சஞ்சலமும் தவிப்பும் ஓடிப்போகும்.

11. So the people, for whom the Lord paid the price to be saved, will return. They will come with songs of joy to Zion. Joy that lasts forever will be on their heads. They will receive joy and happiness, and sorrow and sad voices will hurry away.

12. 'I, even I, am He Who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of a man who dies? Why are you afraid of the sons of men who are made like grass,

13. that you have forgotten the Lord Who made you? He spread out the heavens and put the earth in its place. Why do you live in fear all day long because of the anger of the one who makes it hard for you as he makes ready to destroy? But where is his anger?

14. சிறைப்பட்டுப்போனவன் தீவிரமாய் விடுதலையாவான்; அவன் கிடங்கிலே சாவதுமில்லை, அவனுடைய அப்பம் குறைவுபடுவதுமில்லை.

14. The one in chains will soon be set free, and will not die in prison. And he will always have enough bread.

15. உன் தேவனாயிருக்கிற கர்த்தர் நானே; அலைகள் கொந்தளிக்கத்தக்கதாய் சமுத்திரத்தைக் குலுக்குகிற சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்கிற நாமமுள்ளவர்.

15. For I am the Lord your God, Who fills the sea with action so that its waves sound: The Lord of All is His name.

16. நான் வானத்தை நிலைப்படுத்தி, பூமியை அஸ்திபாரப்படுத்தி, சீயோனை நோக்கி: நீ என் ஜனமென்று சொல்லுவதற்காக, நான் என் வார்த்தையை உன் வாயிலே அருளி, என் கரத்தின் நிழலினால் உன்னை மறைக்கிறேன்.

16. I have put My words in your mouth, and have covered you with the shadow of My hand. I spread out the heavens and put the earth in its place, and say to Zion, 'You are My people.' '

17. Awake! awake! Stand up, O Jerusalem, you who have drunk from the Lord's hand the cup of His anger. You drank it down, and you had trouble walking.

19. These two things have come upon you: Being laid waste and destroyed, hunger and the sword. Who will have sorrow for you?

20. உன் குமாரர் மூர்ச்சித்து விழுந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள், வலையிலே சிக்குண்ட கலைமானைப்போல, எல்லா வீதிகளின் முனையிலும், கர்த்தருடைய உக்கிரத்தினாலும், உன் தேவனுடைய கண்டிதத்தினாலும் நிறைந்தவர்களாய்க் கிடக்கிறார்கள்.

20. Your sons have become weak and have fallen down. They cannot help themselves and they lie at the top of every street, like a deer in a net.

21. ஆகையால் சிறுமைப்பட்டவளே, மதுபானங்குடியாமல் வெறிகொண்டவளே, நீ கேள்.

21. So hear this, you who are suffering, who are drunk, but not with wine.

22. கர்த்தராகிய உன் ஆண்டவரும் தம்முடைய ஜனத்துக்காக வழக்காடப்போகிற உன் தேவனுமானவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, தத்தளிப்பின் பாத்திரத்தை உன் கையிலிருந்து நீக்கிப்போடுகிறேன், இனி என் உக்கிரத்தினுடைய பாத்திரத்தின் வண்டல்களை நீ குடிப்பதில்லை.

22. Your Lord, the Lord your God Who fights for His people, says, 'See, I have taken out of your hand the cup that makes you have trouble walking. You will never drink from the cup of My anger again.

23. உன்னை நோக்கி: நாங்கள் கடந்துபோகும்படிக்குக் குனியென்று சொல்லி, கடந்துபோகிறவர்களுக்கு நீ உன் முதுகைத் தரையும் வீதியுமாக்கும்படி, உன்னைச் சஞ்சலப்படுத்தினவர்களின் கையில் அதைக் கொடுப்பேன் என்றார்.

23. I will put it into the hand of those who make it hard for you, who have said to you, 'Lie down that we may walk over you.' You have made your back like the ground and like the street for them to walk over.'
