1. அபாண்டமான சொல்லை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாயாக; கொடுமையுள்ள சாட்சிக்காரனாயிருக்க ஆகாதவனோடே கலவாயாக.

1. You shall not receive a false report. You shall not agree with the unjust to become an unjust witness.

2. தீமைசெய்ய திரளானபேர்களைப் பின்பற்றாதிருப்பாயாக; வழக்கிலே நியாயத்தைப் புரட்ட மிகுதியானவர்களின் பட்சத்தில் சாய்ந்து, உத்தரவு சொல்லாதிருப்பாயாக.

2. You shall not associate with the multitude for evil. You shall not join yourself with a multitude to turn aside with the majority so as to shut out judgment.

3. வியாச்சியத்திலே தரித்திரனுடைய முகத்தைப் பாராயாக.

3. And you shall not spare a poor man in judgment.

4. உன் சத்துருவின் மாடாவது அவனுடைய கழுதையாவது தப்பிப்போகக்கண்டால், அதைத் திரும்ப அவனிடத்தில் கொண்டுபோய் விடுவாயாக.

4. And if you meet your enemy's ox or his donkey going astray, you shall turn them back and restore them to him.

5. உன்னைப் பகைக்கிறவனுடைய கழுதை சுமையோடே விழுந்துகிடக்கக்கண்டாயானால், அதற்கு உதவிசெய்யாதிருக்கலாமா? அவசியமாய் அவனோடேகூட அதற்கு உதவிசெய்வாயாக.

5. And if you see your enemy's donkey fallen under its burden, you shall not pass by it, but you shall help to raise it with him.

6. உன்னிடத்திலிருக்கிற எளியவனுடைய வியாச்சியத்தில் அவனுடைய நியாயத்தைப் புரட்டாயாக.

6. You shall not pervert the judgment of the poor in his cause.

7. கள்ளக்காரியத்துக்குத் தூரமாயிருப்பாயாக; குற்றமில்லாதவனையும் நீதிமானையும் கொலைசெய்யாயாக; நான் துன்மார்க்கனை நீதிமான் என்று தீர்க்கமாட்டேன்.

7. You shall abstain from every unjust thing: you shall not slay the innocent and righteous, and you shall not justify the wicked for gifts.

8. பரிதானம் வாங்காதிருப்பாயாக; பரிதானம் பார்வையுள்ளவர்களைக் குருடாக்கி, நீதிமான்களின் வார்த்தைகளைப் புரட்டும்.

8. And you shall not receive gifts; for gifts blind the eyes of the seeing, and corrupt just words.

9. அந்நியனை ஒடுக்காயாக; எகிப்துதேசத்தில் அந்நியர்களாயிருந்த நீங்கள் அந்நியனுடைய இருதயத்தை அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே.

9. And you shall not afflict a stranger, for you know the heart of a stranger; for you yourselves were strangers in the land of Egypt.

10. ஆறுவருஷம் நீ உன் நிலத்தில் பயிரிட்டு, அதின் பலனைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்.

10. Six years you shall sow your land, and gather in the fruits of it.

11. ஏழாம் வருஷத்தில் உன் ஜனத்திலுள்ள எளியவர்கள் புசிக்கவும், மீதியானதை வெளியின் ஜெந்துக்கள் தின்னவும், அந்த நிலம் சும்மா கிடக்க விட்டுவிடுவாயாக; உன் திராட்சத்தோட்டத்தையும் உன் ஒலிவத்தோப்பையும் அப்படியே செய்வாயாக.

11. But in the seventh year you shall let it rest, and leave it, and the poor of your nation shall feed; and the wild beasts of the field shall eat that which remains; thus shall you do to your vineyard and to your olive grove.

12. ஆறுநாள் உன் வேலையைச் செய்து, ஏழாம்நாளிலே உன் மாடும் உன் கழுதையும் இளைப்பாறவும், உன் அடிமைப்பெண்ணின் பிள்ளையும் அந்நியனும் இளைப்பாறவும் ஓய்ந்திருப்பாயாக.

12. Six days shall you do your works, and on the seventh day there shall be rest, that your ox and your donkey may rest, and that the son of your maidservant and the stranger may be refreshed.

13. நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னவைகள் யாவற்றிலும் சாவதானமாயிருங்கள். அந்நிய தேவர்களின் பேரைச் சொல்லவேண்டாம்; அது உன் வாயிலிருந்து பிறக்கக் கேட்கப்படவும் வேண்டாம்.

13. Observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and you shall make no mention of the name of other gods, neither shall they be heard out of your mouth.

14. வருஷத்தில் மூன்றுதரம் எனக்குப்பண்டிகை ஆசரிப்பாயாக.

14. Three times you shall keep a feast to Me in the year.

15. புளிப்பில்லா அப்பப்பண்டிகையைக் கொண்டாடி, நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே ஆபிப் மாதத்தின் குறித்தகாலத்தில் ஏழுநாள் புளிப்பில்லா அப்பம் புசிப்பாயாக; அந்த மாதத்தில் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டாயே, என் சந்நிதியில் வெறுங்கையாய் வரவேண்டாம்.

15. Take heed to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread: seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I charged you at the season of the month of new [grain], for in it you came out of Egypt. You shall not appear before Me empty.

16. நீ வயலில் விதைத்த உன் பயிர் வேலைகளின் முதற்பலனைச் செலுத்துகிற அறுப்புக்கால பண்டிகையையும், வருஷமுடிவிலே நீ வயலில் உன் வேலைகளின் பலனைச் சேர்த்துத் தீர்ந்தபோது, சேர்ப்புக்கால பண்டிகையையும் ஆசரிப்பாயாக.

16. And you shall keep the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors, whatsoever you shall have sown in your field, and the Feast of Completion at the end of the year in the gathering of your fruits out of your field.

17. வருஷத்தில் மூன்றுதரம் உன் ஆண்மக்கள் எல்லாரும் கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவருடைய சந்நிதியில் வரக்கடவர்கள்.

17. Three times in the year shall all your males appear before the Lord your God.

18. எனக்கு இடும் பலியின் இரத்தத்தைப் புளித்தமாவுடன் செலுத்தவேண்டாம், எனக்கு இடும் பலியின் கொழுப்பை விடியற்காலம்வரைக்கும் வைக்கவும் வேண்டாம்.

18. For when I shall have cast out the nations from before you, and shall have widened your borders, you shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leaven, neither must the fat of My feast abide till the morning.

19. உன் நிலத்தில் முதல் விளைச்சல்களின் முதற் கனியை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துக்குக் கொண்டுவருவாயாக; வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டியை அதின் தாயின் பாலிலே சமைக்கவேண்டாம்.

19. You shall bring the first offerings of the firstfruits of your land into the house of the Lord your God. You shall not boil a young lamb in its mother's milk.

20. வழியில் உன்னைக் காக்கிறதற்கும், நான் ஆயத்தம்பண்ணின ஸ்தானத்துக்கு உன்னைக் கொண்டுபோய்ச் சேர்க்கிறதற்கும், இதோ, நான் ஒரு தூதனை உனக்கு முன்னே அனுப்புகிறேன்.

20. And behold, I send My angel before your face, that He may keep you in the way, that He may bring you into the land which I have prepared for you.

21. Take heed to yourself and hearken to Him, and disobey Him not; for He will not give way to you, for My name is in Him.

22. நீ அவர் வாக்கை நன்றாய்க் கேட்டு, நான் சொல்வதையெல்லாம் செய்வாயாகில், நான் உன் சத்துருக்களுக்குச் சத்துருவாயும், உன் விரோதிகளுக்கு விரோதியாயும் இருப்பேன்.

22. If you will indeed hear My voice, and if you will do all the things I shall charge you with, and keep My covenant, you shall be to Me a peculiar people above all nations. For the whole earth is Mine, and you shall be to Me a royal priesthood, and a holy nation. These words shall you speak to the children of Israel: If you shall indeed hear My voice, and do all the things I shall tell you, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.

23. என் தூதனானவர் உனக்குமுன்சென்று, எமோரியரும், ஏத்தியரும், பெரிசியரும், கானானியரும், ஏவியரும், எபூசியரும், இருக்கிற இடத்துக்கு உன்னை நடத்திக்கொண்டுபோவார்; அவர்களை நான் அதம்பண்ணுவேன்.

23. For My angel shall go as your leader, and shall bring you to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites and the Gergesites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, and I will destroy them.

24. நீ அவர்களுடைய தேவர்களைப்பணிந்துகொள்ளாமலும், சேவியாமலும், அவர்கள் செய்கைகளின்படி செய்யாமலும், அவர்களை நிர்மூலம்பண்ணி, அவர்களுடைய சிலைகளை உடைத்துப்போடுவாயாக.

24. You shall not worship their gods, nor serve them. You shall not do according to their works, but shall utterly destroy them, and break to pieces their pillars.

25. உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரையே சேவிக்கக்கடவீர்கள்; அவர் உன் அப்பத்தையும் உன் தண்ணீரையும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். வியாதியை உன்னிலிருந்து விலக்குவேன்.

25. And you shall serve the Lord your God, and I will bless your bread and your wine and your water, and I will turn away sickness from you.

26. கர்ப்பம் விழுகிறதும், மலடும் உன் தேசத்தில் இருப்பதில்லை; உன் ஆயுசு நாட்களைப் பூரணப்படுத்துவேன்.

26. There shall not be one that is impotent or barren on your land. I will surely fulfill the number of your days.

27. எனக்குப் பயப்படும் பயத்தை உனக்குமுன் செல்லும்படி செய்வேன். நீ செல்லும் இடமெங்குமுள்ள ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரையும் கலங்கடித்து, உன் சத்துருக்கள் எல்லாரையும் முதுகு காட்டப்பண்ணுவேன்.

27. And I will send terror before you, and I will strike with amazement all the nations to which you shall come, and I will make all your enemies to flee.

28. உன் முகத்திற்கு முன்னின்று ஏவியரையும் கானானியரையும் ஏத்தியரையும் துரத்திவிட, குளவிகளை உனக்கு முன்னே அனுப்புவேன்.

28. And I will send hornets before you, and you shall cast out the Amorites and the Hivites and the Canaanites and the Hittites from you.

29. தேசம் பாழாய்ப்போகாமலும், காட்டுமிருகங்கள் உனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பெருகாமலும் இருக்கும்படி, நான் அவர்களை ஒரே வருஷத்திற்குள்ளே உன் முன்னின்று துரத்திவிடாமல்,

29. I will not cast them out in one year, lest the land become desolate, and the beasts of the field multiply against you.

30. நீ விருத்தியடைந்து, தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்வரைக்கும், அவர்களைக் கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாய் உன் முன்னின்று துரத்திவிடுவேன்.

30. By little [and little] I will cast them out from before you, until you shall be increased and inherit the earth.

31. சிவந்த சமுத்திரம் தொடங்கி பெலிஸ்தரின் சமுத்திரம்வரைக்கும், வனாந்தரம் தொடங்கி நதிவரைக்கும் உன் எல்லையாயிருக்கும்படி செய்வேன்; நான் அந்தத் தேசத்தின் குடிகளை உங்கள் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்; நீ அவர்களை உன் முன்னின்று துரத்திவிடுவாய்.

31. And I will set your borders from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the great river Euphrates; and I will give into your hand those that dwell in the land, and will cast them out from you.

32. அவர்களோடும் அவர்கள் தேவர்களோடும் நீ உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணாதிருப்பாயாக.

32. You shall make no covenant with them and their gods.

33. அவர்கள் உன்னை எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணாதபடிக்கு உன் தேசத்திலே குடியிருக்கவேண்டாம்; நீ அவர்கள் தேவர்களைச் சேவித்தால், அது உனக்குக் கண்ணியாயிருக்கும் என்றார்.

33. And they shall not dwell in your land, lest they cause you to sin against Me; for if you should serve their gods, these will be an offense to you.
