1. ஆண்டவரே, தேவரீர் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக எங்களுக்கு அடைக்கலமானவர்.

1. BOOK THE FOURTH A Prayer by Moses, the Man of God. Lord! a dwelling-place, hast, thou, become to us, From generation to generation:

2. பர்வதங்கள் தோன்றுமுன்னும், நீர் பூமியையும், உலகத்தையும் உருவாக்குமுன்னும், நீரே அநாதியாய் என்றென்றைக்கும் தேவனாயிருக்கிறீர்.

2. Before, the mountains, were born, Or thou hadst brought forth the earth and the world, Even, from age to age, thou, wast GOD.

3. நீர் மனுஷரை நீர்த்துளியாக்கி, மனுபுத்திரரே, திரும்புங்கள் என்கிறீர்.

3. Thou causest man to return unto dust, And hast said Return, ye sons of Adam!

4. உமது பார்வைக்கு ஆயிரம் வருஷம் நேற்றுக்கழிந்த நாள்போலவும் இராச்சாமம்போலவும் இருக்கிறது.
2 பேதுரு 3:8

4. For, a thousand years, in thine eyes, are , As yesterday, in that it passed away, Or as a watch in the night.

5. அவர்களை வெள்ளம்போல் வாரிக்கொண்டு போகிறீர்; நித்திரைக்கு ஒத்திருக்கிறார்கள்; காலையிலே முளைக்கிற புல்லுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.

5. Thou hast snatched them away, A sleep, do they become, In the morning, they are like grass that shooteth up,

6. அது காலையிலே முளைத்துப் பூத்து, மாலையிலே அறுப்புண்டு உலர்ந்துபோகும்.

6. In the morning, it sprouteth and shooteth up, By the evening, it is cut down and withered.

7. நாங்கள் உமது கோபத்தினால் அழிந்து உமது உக்கிரத்தினால் கலங்கிப்போகிறோம்.

7. For we are consumed in thine anger, And, in thy wrath, are we dismayed;

8. எங்கள் அக்கிரமங்களை உமக்கு முன்பாகவும், எங்கள் அந்தரங்க பாவங்களை உமது முகத்தின் வெளிச்சத்திலும் நிறுத்தினீர்.

8. Thou hast set, Our iniquities before thee, Our secret near the luminary of thy face.

9. எங்கள் நாட்களெல்லாம் உமது கோபத்தால் போய்விட்டது; ஒரு கதையைப்போல் எங்கள் வருஷங்களைக் கழித்துப்போட்டோம்.

9. For, all our days, decline in thy wrath, We end our years like a sigh.

10. எங்கள் ஆயுசு நாட்கள் எழுபது வருஷம், பெலத்தின் மிகுதியால் எண்பது வருஷமாயிருந்தாலும், அதின் மேன்மையானது வருத்தமும் சஞ்சலமுமே; அது சீக்கரமாய்க் கடந்து போகிறது நாங்களும் பறந்துபோகிறோம்.

10. The days of our years, have, in them, three score years and ten, And, if, by reason of strength, they have fourscore years, Yet, their boast, is labour and sorrow, For it hath passed quickly, and we have flown away.

11. உமது கோபத்தின் வல்லமையையும், உமக்குப் பயப்படத்தக்க விதமாய் உமது உக்கிரத்தையும் அறிந்து கொள்ளுகிறவன் யார்?

11. Who knoweth the strength of thine anger? Even, according to the fear of thee, is thy wrath!

12. நாங்கள் ஞான இருதயமுள்ளவர்களாகும்படி, எங்கள் நாட்களை எண்ணும் அறிவை எங்களுக்குப் போதித்தருளும்.

12. How to number our days, so grant us to know, That we may win us a heart that hath wisdom.

13. கர்த்தாவே, திரும்பிவாரும், எதுவரைக்கும் கோபமாயிருப்பீர்? உமது அடியாருக்காகப் பரிதபியும்.

13. Return, Yahweh, oh how long? And have compassion upon thy servants;

14. நாங்கள் எங்கள் வாழ்நாளெல்லாம் களிகூர்ந்து மகிழும்படி, காலையிலே எங்களை உமது கிருபையால் திருப்தியாக்கும்.

14. Satisfy us, in the morning, with thy lovingkindness, That we may shout aloud and be glad, Throughout all our days.

15. தேவரீர் எங்களைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்தின நாட்களுக்கும், நாங்கள் துன்பத்தைக் கண்ட வருஷங்களுக்கும் சரியாய் எங்களை மகிழ்ச்சியாக்கும்.

15. Make us glad, according to, The days thou hast humbled us, The years we have seen misfortune:

16. உமது கிரியை உமது ஊழியக்காரருக்கும், உமது மகிமை அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் விளங்குவதாக.

16. Let thy work, appear unto thy servants, And, thy majesty, upon their children;

17. எங்கள் தேவனாகிய ஆண்டவரின் பிரியம் எங்கள் மேல் இருப்பதாக; எங்கள் கைகளின் கிரியையை எங்களிடத்தில் உறுதிப்படுத்தும்; ஆம், எங்கள் கைகளின் கிரியையை எங்களிடத்தில் உறுதிப்படுத்தியருளும்.

17. And let the delightfulness of Adonay our God be upon us, And, the work of our hands, establish thou upon us, Yea, the work of our hands, establish thou it.
