1. தேவனே, என்னைக் காப்பாற்றும், உம்மை நம்பியிருக்கிறேன்.

1. A Precious Psalm of David. Preserve me, O GOD, for I have sought refuge in thee.

2. என் நெஞ்சமே, நீ கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: தேவரீர், என் ஆண்டவராயிருக்கிறீர், என் செல்வம் உமக்கு வேண்டியதாயிராமல்;

2. Thou hast said unto Yahweh, My Lord, art thou! My goodness, mounteth not unto thee.

3. பூமியிலுள்ள பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கும், நான் என் முழுப் பிரியத்தையும் வைத்திருக்கிற மகாத்துமாக்களுக்கும், அது வேண்டியதாயிருக்கிறது என்று சொன்னாய்.

3. It belongeth unto the holy ones, whom, in his own land, Yahweh, ennobleth, In whom is all his delight

4. அந்நியதேவனை நாடிப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களுக்கு வேதனைகள் பெருகும்; அவர்கள் செலுத்துகிற இரத்த பானபலிகளை நான் செலுத்தமாட்டேன், அவர்கள் நாமங்களை என் உதடுகளினால் உச்சரிக்கவுமாட்டேன்.

4. They multiply their idols another, have they purchased! I will not pour out their drink-offerings of blood, nor will I take up their names on my lips.

5. கர்த்தர் என் சுதந்தரமும் என் பாத்திரத்தின் பங்குமானவர்; என் சுதந்தரத்தை தேவரீர் காப்பாற்றுகிறீர்.

5. Yahweh, is mine allotted portion and my cup, Thou, art maintaining my lot.

6. நேர்த்தியான இடங்களில் எனக்குப் பங்கு கிடைத்தது; ஆம், சிறப்பான சுதந்தரம் எனக்கு உண்டு.

6. The lines, have fallen unto me, in pleasant places, Verily an inheritance that delighteth me.

7. எனக்கு ஆலோசனை தந்த கர்த்தரைத் துதிப்பேன்; இராக்காலங்களிலும் என் உள்ளிந்திரியங்கள் என்னை உணர்த்தும்.

7. I will bless Yahweh, who hath counselled me, Surely, by night, shall mine impulses admonish me.

8. கர்த்தரை எப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு முன்பாக வைத்திருக்கிறேன்; அவர் என் வலதுபாரிசத்தில் இருக்கிறபடியால் நான் அசைக்கப்படுவதில்லை.

10. For thou wilt not abandon my soul to hades, neither wilt thou suffer thy man of lovingkindness, to see corruption:

11. ஜீவமார்க்கத்தை எனக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்துவீர்; உம்முடைய சமுகத்தில் பரிபூரண ஆனந்தமும், உம்முடைய வலதுபாரிசத்தில் நித்திய பேரின்பமும் உண்டு.

11. Thou wilt cause me to know, the path of life, Fulness of joys before thee, Pleasures at thy right hand evermore.
