1. கர்த்தர் என் சத்தத்தையும் என் விண்ணப்பத்தையும் கேட்டதினால், அவரில் அன்புகூருகிறேன்.

1. I haue loued: because God hath hearde my voyce [and] my prayers.

2. அவர் தமது செவியை எனக்குச் சாய்த்தபடியால், நான் உயிரோடிருக்குமளவும் அவரைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுவேன்.

2. Because he hath enclined his eare vnto me: therfore I wyll call vpon hym as long as I lyue.

3. மரணக்கட்டுகள் என்னைச் சுற்றிக்கொண்டது, பாதாள இடுக்கண்கள் என்னைப் பிடித்தது; இக்கட்டையும் சஞ்சலத்தையும் அடைந்தேன்.

3. The snares of death compassed me rounde about: and the paynes of hell toke holde on me. (116:4) I founde anguishe and heauinesse,

4. அப்பொழுது நான் கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொண்டு: கர்த்தாவே, என் ஆத்துமாவை விடுவியும் என்று கெஞ்சினேன்.

4. but I called vpon the name of God: [saying] O God, I beseche thee deliuer my soule

5. கர்த்தர் கிருபையும் நீதியுமுள்ளவர், நம்முடைய தேவன் மனவுருக்கமானவர்.

5. Gratious is God and ryghteous: our Lorde is mercifull.

6. கர்த்தர் கபடற்றவர்களைக் காக்கிறார்; நான் மெலிந்துபோனேன், அவர் என்னை இரட்சித்தார்.

6. God gardeth the simple: I was brought to the extremitie, and he preserued me.

7. என் ஆத்துமாவே, கர்த்தர் உனக்கு நன்மை செய்தபடியால், நீ உன் இளைப்பாறுதலுக்குத் திரும்பு.

7. Returne O my soule vnto thy rest: for God hath rewarded thee.

8. என் ஆத்துமாவை மரணத்துக்கும், என் கண்ணைக் கண்ணீருக்கும், என் காலை இடறுதலுக்கும் தப்புவித்தீர்.

8. For [thou O Lorde] hast deliuered my soule from death: myne eyes from teares, and my feete from fallyng.

9. நான் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக ஜீவனுள்ளோர் தேசத்திலே நடப்பேன்.

9. I wyll walke before the face of God: in the lande of the lyuyng.

10. விசுவாசித்தேன், ஆகையால் பேசுகிறேன்; நான் மிகுதியும் வருத்தப்பட்டேன்.

10. I beleued, therfore I wyll speake: I was sore afflicted,

11. எந்த மனுஷனும் பொய்யன் என்று என் மனக்கலக்கத்திலே சொன்னேன்.

11. (116:10) insomuch that I said in my rashnesse euery man is a lyer.

12. கர்த்தர் எனக்குச் செய்த எல்லா உபகாரங்களுக்காகவும், அவருக்கு என்னத்தைச் செலுத்துவேன்.

12. (116:11) What rewarde shal I geue vnto God: for all the benefites that he hath done vnto me?

13. இரட்சிப்பின் பாத்திரத்தை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுவேன்.

13. (116:12) I wyll take the cuppe of saluation: and I wyll call vpon the name of God.

14. நான் கர்த்தருக்குச் செய்த பொருத்தனைகளை அவருடைய ஜனங்களெல்லாருக்கு முன்பாகவும் செலுத்துவேன்.

14. (116:13) I wyll pay my vowes nowe vnto God: in the presence of all his people.

15. கர்த்தருடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களின் மரணம் அவர் பார்வைக்கு அருமையானது.

15. (116:14) The death of his saintes: is precious in the eyes of God.

16. கர்த்தாவே, நான் உமது அடியேன்; நான் உமது அடியாளின் புத்திரனும், உமது ஊழியக்காரனுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; என் கட்டுகளை அவிழ்த்துவிட்டீர்.

16. (116:15) It is euen so O God, for I am thy seruaunt and the sonne of thy handemayde: thou hast loosed my bondes in sunder.

17. நான் உமக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரபலியைச் செலுத்தி, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுவேன்.

17. (116:16) I wyll offer vnto thee the sacrifice of thankesgeuyng: and I wyll call vpon the name of God.

18. நான் கர்த்தருக்குச் செய்த பொருத்தனைகளை அவருடைய ஜனங்களெல்லாருக்கு முன்பாகவும்,

18. (116:17) I wyll pay my vowes vnto God in the sight of all his people:

19. கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் பிராகாரங்களிலும், எருசலேமே உன் நடுவிலும் நிறைவேற்றுவேன். அல்லேலூயா.

19. (116:17) in the courtes of Gods house, euen in the myddest of thee O Hierusalem. Prayse ye the Lorde.
