1. Then Job answered,

2. திடனில்லாதவனுக்கு நீ எப்படி ஒத்தாசைபண்ணினாய்? பெலனற்ற கையை நீ எப்படி ஆதரித்தாய்?

2. 'How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength!

3. நீ ஞானமில்லாதவனுக்கு எப்படி உசாவுதுணையாயிருந்து, மெய்ப்பொருளைக் குறைவற அறிவித்தாய்?

3. How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, And plentifully declared sound knowledge!

4. யாருக்கு அறிவைப் போதித்தாய்? உன்னிடத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட ஆவி யாருடையது?

4. To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came forth from you?

5. ஜலத்தின் கீழ் மடிந்தவர்களுக்கும், அவர்களோடே தங்குகிறவர்களுக்கும் தத்தளிப்பு உண்டு.

5. 'Those who are deceased tremble, Those beneath the waters and all that live in them.

6. அவருக்கு முன்பாகப் பாதாளம் வெளியாய்த் திறந்திருக்கிறது; நரகம் மூடப்படாதிருக்கிறது.

6. Sheol is naked before God, And Abaddon has no covering.

7. அவர் உத்தரமண்டலத்தை வெட்டவெளியிலே விரித்து, பூமியை அந்தரத்திலே தொங்கவைக்கிறார்.

7. He stretches out the north over empty space, And hangs the earth on nothing.

8. அவர் தண்ணீர்களைத் தம்முடைய கார்மேகங்களில் கட்டிவைக்கிறார்; அதின் பாரத்தினால் மேகம் கிழிகிறதில்லை.

8. He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, And the cloud is not burst under them.

9. அவர் தமது சிங்காசனம் நிற்கும் ஆகாசத்தை ஸ்திரப்படுத்தி, அதின்மேல் தமது மேகத்தை விரிக்கிறார்.

9. He encloses the face of his throne, And spreads his cloud on it.

10. அவர் தண்ணீர்கள்மேல் சக்கரவட்டம் தீர்த்தார்; வெளிச்சமும் இருளும் முடியுமட்டும் அப்படியே இருக்கும்.

10. He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, And to the confines of light and darkness.

11. அவருடைய கண்டிதத்தால் வானத்தின் தூண்கள் அதிர்ந்து தத்தளிக்கும்.

11. The pillars of heaven tremble And are astonished at his rebuke.

12. அவர் தமது வல்லமையினால் சமுத்திரக் கொந்தளிப்பை அமரப்பண்ணி, தமது ஞானத்தினால் அதின் மூர்க்கத்தை அடக்குகிறார்.

12. He stirs up the sea with his power, And by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.

13. தமது ஆவியினால் வானத்தை அலங்கரித்தார்; அவருடைய கரம் நெளிவான சர்ப்ப நட்சத்திரத்தை உருவாக்கிற்று.

13. By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.

14. இதோ, இவைகள் அவருடைய கிரியையில் கடைகோடியானவைகள், அவரைக்குறித்து நாங்கள் கேட்டது எவ்வளவு கொஞ்சம்; அவருடைய வல்லமையின் இடிமுழக்கத்தை அறிந்தவன் யார் என்றான்.

14. Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?'
