1. Job answered, and said:

2. நீங்கள் எந்தமட்டும் என் ஆத்துமாவை வருத்தப்படுத்தி, வார்த்தைகளினால் என்னை நொறுக்குவீர்கள்?

2. How long will ye vex my mind, and trouble me with words?

3. இப்போது பத்துதரம் என்னை நிந்தித்தீர்கள்; நீங்கள் எனக்குக் கடினமுகம் காண்பிக்கிறதினால் உங்களுக்கு வெட்கமில்லை.

3. Lo, ten times have ye reproved me: are ye not ashamed, for to laugh me to scorn?

4. நான் தப்பிநடந்தது மெய்யானாலும், என் தப்பிதம் என்னோடேதான் இருக்கிறது.

4. If I go wrong, I go wrong to myself.

5. நீங்கள் எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பெருமைபாராட்டி, எனக்கு நிந்தையாக என்னைக் கடிந்துகொள்ளவேண்டும் என்றிருப்பீர்களாகில்,

5. But if ye will enhance yourselves against me, and accuse me to be a wicked person because of the shame that is come upon me:

6. தேவன் என்னைக் கவிழ்த்து, தம்முடைய வலையை என்மேல் வீசினார் என்று அறியுங்கள்.

6. know this then, that it is God, which hath handled me so violently, and hath compassed me about with his scourges.

7. இதோ, கொடுமை என்று கூப்பிடுகிறேன், கேட்பார் ஒருவரும் இல்லை; கூக்குரலிடுகிறேன், நியாயவிசாரணை இல்லை.

7. Behold, though I cry, yet violence is done unto me, I can not be heard: Though I complain, there is none to give sentence with me.

8. நான் கடந்துபோகக்கூடாதபடிக்கு அவர் என் பாதையை வேலியடைத்து, என் வழிகளை இருளாக்கிவிட்டார்.

8. He hath hedged up my path, I can not get away, he hath set darkness in my gate.

9. என்னிலிருந்த என் மகிமையை அவர் உரிந்துகொண்டு, என் சிரசின் கிரீடத்தை எடுத்துப்போட்டார்.

9. He hath spoiled me of mine honour, and taken the crown away from my head.

10. அவர் என்னை நான்கு புறத்திலும் நாசமாக்கினார், நான் அற்றுப்போகிறேன்; என் நம்பிக்கையை ஒரு செடியைப்போலப் பிடுங்கிப்போட்டார்.

10. He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am undone: My hope hath he taken away from me, as it were a tree plucked up by the root.

11. அவர் தமது கோபத்தை என்மேல் எரியப்பண்ணினார்; என்னைத் தம்முடைய சத்துருக்களில் ஒருவனாக எண்ணிக்கொள்ளுகிறார்.

11. His wrath is kindled against me, he taketh me, as though I were his enemy.

12. அவருடைய தண்டுப்படைகள் ஏகமாய் வந்து, எனக்கு விரோதமாய்த் தங்கள் வழியை உயர்த்தி, என் கூடாரத்தைச் சுற்றிப் பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

12. His men of war came together, which made their way over me, and besieged my dwelling round about.

13. என் சகோதரரை என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரப்படுத்தினார்; எனக்கு அறிமுகமானவர்கள் எனக்கு அந்நியராய்ப் போனார்கள்.

13. He hath put my brethren far away from me, and such as were of mine acquaintance, are become strangers unto me.

14. என் பந்துஜனங்கள் விலகிப்போனார்கள். என் சிநேகிதர் என்னை மறந்துவிட்டார்கள்.

14. Mine own kinfolk have forsaken me, and my friends have put me out of remembrance.

15. என் வீட்டு ஜனங்களும், என் வேலைக்காரிகளும், என்னை அந்நியனாக எண்ணுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் பார்வைக்கு நான் பரதேசியானேன்.

15. The servants and maids of mine own house take me for a stranger, and I am become as an alien(aleaunt) in their sight.

16. நான் என் வேலைக்காரனைக் கூப்பிடுகிறபோது அவன் எனக்கு உத்தரவு கொடான்; என் வாயினால் நான் அவனைக் கெஞ்சவேண்டியதாயிற்று.

16. When I call upon my servant, he giveth me no answer: no though I pray him with my mouth.

17. என் சுவாசம் என் மனைவிக்கு வேறுபட்டிருக்கிறது; என் கர்ப்பத்தின் பிள்ளைகளுக்காகப் பரிதபிக்கிறேன்.

17. Mine own wife may not abide my breath, I am faint(fayne) to speak fair unto the children of mine own body.

18. சிறுபிள்ளைகளும் என்னை அசட்டைபண்ணுகிறார்கள்; நான் எழுந்தால், அவர்கள் எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பேசுகிறார்கள்.

18. Yea the very desert fools despise me, and when I am gone from them, they speak evil upon me.

19. என் பிராணசிநேகிதர் எல்லாரும் என்னை வெறுக்கிறார்கள்; நான் சிநேகித்தவர்கள் எனக்கு விரோதிகளானார்கள்.

19. All such as were my most familiars, abhor me: And they whom I loved best, are turned against me.

20. என் எலும்புகள் என் தோலோடும் என் மாம்சத்தோடும் ஒட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது என் பற்களை மூடக் கொஞ்சம் தோல்மாத்திரம் தப்பினது.

20. My bone hangeth to my skin, and my(the) flesh is away, only there is left me the skin about my teeth.

21. என் சிநேகிதரே, எனக்கு இரங்குங்கள், எனக்கு இரங்குங்கள்; தேவனுடைய கை என்னைத் தொட்டது.

21. Have pity upon me, have pity upon me (O ye my friends) for the hand of the Lord(God) hath touched me.

22. தேவனைப்போல நீங்களும் என்னைத் துன்பப்படுத்துவானேன்? என் மாம்சம் பட்சிக்கப்பட்டாலும் நீங்கள் திருப்தியற்றிருக்கிறதென்ன?

22. Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied of my flesh?(Seynge God persecuteth me, wil ye vexe me also? Have ye not yet ynough of the trouble of my flesh?)

23. ஆ, நான் இப்பொழுது சொல்லும் வார்த்தைகள் எழுதப்பட்டால் நலமாயிருக்கும்; அவைகள் ஒரு புஸ்தகத்தில் வரையப்பட்டு,

23. O that my words were written, O that they were put in a book:

24. அல்லது என்றைக்கும் நிலைக்க அவைகள் கருங்கல்லிலே உளிவெட்டாகவும் ஈய எழுத்தாகவும் பதிந்தால் நலமாயிருக்கும்.

24. would God they were graven with an iron pen in lead or in stone.

25. என் மீட்பர் உயிரோடிருக்கிறார் என்றும், அவர் கடைசி நாளில் பூமியின்மேல் நிற்பார் என்றும் நான் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்.

25. For I am sure, that my redeemer liveth, and that I shall rise out of the earth in the latter day:

26. இந்த என் தோல்முதலானவை அழுகிப்போனபின்பு, நான் என் மாம்சத்தில் இருந்து தேவனைப் பார்ப்பேன்.

26. that I shall be clothed again with this skin, and see God in my flesh.

27. அவரை நானே பார்ப்பேன்; அந்நிய கண்கள் அல்ல, என் கண்களே அவரைக் காணும்; இந்த வாஞ்சையால் என் உள்ளிந்திரியங்கள் எனக்குள் சோர்ந்துபோகிறது.
யோவான் 19:30

27. Yea I my self shall behold him, not with other but with these same eyes. My reins are consumed within me,

28. காரியத்தின் மூலம் எனக்குள் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்படுகையில், நாம் ஏன் அவனைத் துன்பப்படுத்துகிறோம் என்று நீங்கள் சொல்லவேண்டியதாமே.

28. when ye say: Why do not we persecute him? We have found an occasion against him.

29. பட்டயத்துக்குப் பயப்படுங்கள்; நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு உண்டென்கிறதை நீங்கள் அறியும்பொருட்டு, மூர்க்கமானது பட்டயத்தினால் உண்டாகும் ஆக்கினையை வரப்பண்ணும் என்றான்.

29. But beware of the sword, for the sword will be avenged of wickedness, and be sure, that there is a judgement.
