1. Then Job answered and said,

2. இப்படிப்பட்ட அநேகங் காரியங்களை நான் கேட்டிருக்கிறேன்; நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் அலட்டுண்டாக்குகிற தேற்றரவாளர்.

2. I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all.

3. காற்றைப்போன்ற வார்த்தைகளுக்கு முடிவிராதோ? இப்படி நீ உத்தரவுசொல்ல உனக்குத் துணிவு உண்டானதென்ன?

3. Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldeneth thee that thou answerest?

4. உங்களைப்போல நானும் பேசக்கூடும்; நான் இருக்கும் நிலைமையில் நீங்கள் இருந்தால், நான் உங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக வார்த்தைகளைக் கோர்த்து, உங்களுக்கு எதிரே என் தலையைத் துலுக்கவுங்கூடும்.

4. I also could speak as ye do: if your soul were in my souls stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine head at you.

5. ஆனாலும் நான் என் வாயினால் உங்களுக்குத் திடன்சொல்லுவேன், என் உதடுகளின் அசைவு உங்கள் துக்கத்தை ஆற்றும்.

5. But I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips should asswage your grief.

6. நான் பேசினாலும் என் துக்கம் ஆறாது; நான் பேசாமலிருந்தாலும் எனக்கு என்ன ஆறுதல்?

6. Though I speak, my grief is not asswaged: and though I forbear, what am I eased?

7. இப்போது அவர் என்னை இளைத்துப்போகச் செய்தார்; என் கூட்டத்தையெல்லாம் பாழாக்கினீர்.

7. But now he hath made me weary: thou hast made desolate all my company.

8. நீர் என்னைச் சுருங்கிப்போகப்பண்ணினது அதற்குச் சாட்சி; என் மெலிவு என்னில் அத்தாட்சியாக நின்று, என் முகத்துக்கு முன்பாக உத்தரவு சொல்லும்.

8. And thou hast filled me with wrinkles, which is a witness against me: and my leanness rising up in me beareth witness to my face.

9. என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவனுடைய கோபம் என்னைப் பீறுகிறது, என் பேரில் பற்கடிக்கிறான்; என் சத்துரு கொடிய கண்ணினால் என்னைப் பார்க்கிறான்.

9. He teareth me in his wrath, who hateth me: he gnasheth upon me with his teeth; mine enemy sharpeneth his eyes upon me.

10. எனக்கு விரோதமாகத் தங்கள் வாயை விரிவாய்த் திறந்தார்கள்; நிந்தையாக என்னைக் கன்னத்தில் அடித்தார்கள்; எனக்கு விரோதமாக ஏகமாய்க் கூட்டங்கூடினார்கள்.

10. They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully; they have gathered themselves together against me.

11. தேவன் என்னை அநியாயக்காரன் வசமாக ஒப்புவித்து, துன்மார்க்கரின் கையில் என்னை அகப்படப்பண்ணினார்.

11. El hath delivered me to the perverse, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.

12. நான் சுகமாய் வாழ்ந்திருந்தேன்; அவர் என்னை நெருக்கி, என் பிடரியைப் பிடித்து, என்னை நொறுக்கி, என்னைத் தமக்கு இலக்காக நிறுத்தினார்.

12. I was at ease, but he hath broken me asunder: he hath also taken me by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark.

13. அவருடைய வில்லாளர் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டார்கள்; என் ஈரலைத் தப்பவிடாமல் பிளந்தார்; என் பிச்சைத் தரையில் ஊற்றிவிட்டார்.

13. His archers compass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.

14. நொறுக்குதலின்மேல் நொறுக்குதலை என்மேல் வரப்பண்ணினார்; பராக்கிரமசாலியைப்போல என்மேல் பாய்ந்தார்.

14. He breaketh me with breach upon breach, he runneth upon me like a giant.

15. நான் இரட்டுச்சேலையைத் தைத்து, என் தோளின்மேல் போர்த்துக்கொண்டேன்; என் மகிமையைப் புழுதியிலே போட்டுவிட்டேன்.

15. I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and defiled my horn in the dust.

16. அழுகிறதினால் என் முகம் அழுக்கடைந்தது; மரண இருள் என் கண்ணிமைகளின்மேல் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.

16. My face is foul with weeping, and my eyelids is the shadow of death;

17. என் கைகளிலே கொடுமையில்லாதிருக்கையிலும், என் ஜெபம் சுத்தமாயிருக்கையிலும், அப்படியாயிற்று.

17. Not for any injustice in mine hands: also my prayer is pure.

18. பூமியே, என் இரத்தத்தை மூடிப்போடாதே; என் அலறுதலுக்கு மறைவிடம் உண்டாகாதிருப்பதாக.

18. O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no place.

19. இப்போதும் இதோ, என் சாட்சி பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிறது எனக்குச் சாட்சி பகருகிறவர் உன்னதங்களில் இருக்கிறார்.

19. Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high.

20. என் சிநேகிதர் என்னைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணுகிறார்கள்; என் கண் தேவனை நோக்கிக் கண்ணீர் சொரிகிறது.

20. My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto Eloah.

21. ஒரு மனுபுத்திரன் தன் சிநேகிதனுக்காக வழக்காடுகிறதுபோல, தேவனோடே மனுஷனுக்காக வழக்காடுகிறவர் ஒருவர் உண்டானால் நலமாயிருக்கும்.

21. O that one might plead for a man with Eloah, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour!

22. குறுகின வருஷங்களுக்கு முடிவு வருகிறது; நான் திரும்பிவராதவழியே போவேன்.

22. When a few years are come, then I shall go the way whence I shall not return.
