1. கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துக்காகச் சாலொமோன் செய்த வேலையெல்லாம் முடிந்தபோது, சாலொமோன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணும்படி நேர்ந்தவைகளைக் கொண்டுவந்து, வெள்ளியையும், பொன்னையும், சகல பணிமுட்டுகளையும், தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் பொக்கிஷங்களில் வைத்தான்.

1. Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in [all] the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, he put in the treasuries of the house of God.

2. பின்பு கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப்பெட்டியைச் சீயோன் என்னும் தாவீதின் நகரத்திலிருந்து கொண்டுவரும்படி சாலொமோன் இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பரையும், கோத்திரப் பிரப்புக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் வம்சத் தலைவர் எல்லாரையும் எருசலேமிலே கூடிவரச்செய்தான்.

2. Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the city of David, which [is] Zion.

3. அப்படியே இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லாரும் ஏழாம் மாதத்தின் பண்டிகையிலே ராஜாவினிடத்தில் கூடிவந்தார்கள்.

3. Therefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves to the king in the feast which [was] in the seventh month.

4. இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பர் எல்லாரும் வந்தபின்பு லேவியர் பெட்டியை எடுத்து,

4. And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.

5. பெட்டியையும், ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தையும், கூடாரத்திலிருக்கிற பரிசுத்த பணிமுட்டுகளையும் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவைகளைக் கொண்டுவந்தவர்கள் லேவியரான ஆசாரியரே.

5. And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that [were] in the tabernacle, these did the priests [and] the Levites bring up.

6. ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனும், அவனோடே கூடின இஸ்ரவேல் சபையார் அனைவரும், பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாக எண்ணிக்கைக்கும் தொகைக்கும் அடங்காத ஏராளமான ஆடுமாடுகளைப் பலியிட்டார்கள்.

6. Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled to him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be counted nor numbered for multitude.

7. அப்படியே ஆசாரியர் கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை, ஆலயத்தின் சந்நிதியாகிய மகா பரிசுத்தமான ஸ்தலத்திலே, கேருபீன்களுடைய செட்டைகளுக்குக் கீழாகக் கொண்டுவந்து வைத்தார்கள்.

7. And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, to the inner sanctuary of the house, into the most holy [place, even] under the wings of the cherubim:

8. கேருபீன்கள், பெட்டியிருக்கும் ஸ்தானத்தின்மேல், தங்கள் இரண்டிரண்டு செட்டைகளை விரித்து உயர இருந்து பெட்டியையும் அதின் தண்டுகளையும் மூடிக்கொண்டிருந்தது.

8. For the cherubim spread forth [their] wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and the staffs of it above.

9. பெட்டியிலிருக்கிற தண்டுகளின் முனைகள் சந்நிதி ஸ்தலத்திற்கு முன்னே காணப்படத்தக்கதாய் அந்தத் தண்டுகளை இழுத்தார்கள்; புறம்பே அவைகள் காணப்படவில்லை; அது இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் அங்கே இருக்கிறது.

9. And they drew out the staffs [of the ark], that the ends of the staffs were seen from the ark before the inner sanctuary; but they were not seen without. And there it is to this day.

10. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டபின், கர்த்தர் ஓரேபிலே அவர்களோடு உடன்படிக்கை பண்ணினபோது, மோசே அந்தப் பெட்டியிலே வைத்த இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளே அல்லாமல் அதிலே வேறொன்றும் இருந்ததில்லை.

10. [There was] nothing in the ark except the two tables which Moses put [in it] at Horeb, when the LORD made [a covenant] with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

11. வகுப்புகளின் முறைகளைப் பாராமல், ஆசாரியர் எல்லோரும் தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம் பண்ணிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

11. And it came to pass, when the priests had come out of the holy [place]: (for all the priests [that were] present were sanctified, [and] did not [then] wait by course:

12. ஆசாப், ஏமான், எதுத்தூனுடைய கூட்டத்தாரும், அவர்களுடைய குமாரர் சகோதரருடைய கூட்டத்தாருமாகிய பாடகரான லேவியரனைவரும் மெல்லிய புடவைகளைத் தரித்து, கைத்தாளங்களையும் தம்புருகளையும் சுரமண்டலங்களையும் பிடித்துப் பலிபீடத்திற்குக் கிழக்கே நின்றார்கள்; அவர்களோடும் கூடப் பூரிகைகளை ஊதுகிற ஆசாரியர்கள் நூற்றிருபதுபேர் நின்றார்கள்.

12. Also the Levites [who were] the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, [being] arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)

13. அவர்கள் ஒருமிக்கப் பூரிகைகளை ஊதி, ஏகசத்தமாய் கர்த்தரைத் துதித்து ஸ்தோத்திரித்துப் பாடினார்கள்; ஆசாரியர் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலிருந்து புறப்படுகையிலும், பாடகர் பூரிகைகள் தாளங்கள் கீதவாத்தியங்களுடைய சத்தத்தை தொனிக்கப்பண்ணி, கர்த்தர் நல்லவர், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது என்று அவரை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கையிலும், கர்த்தருடைய வீடாகிய தேவாலயம் மேகத்தினால் நிறையப்பட்டது.

13. It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers [were] as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up [their] voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, [saying], For [he is] good; for his mercy [endureth] for ever: that [then] the house was filled with a cloud, [even] the house of the LORD;

14. அந்த மேகத்தினிமித்தம் ஆசாரியர்கள் ஊழியஞ்செய்து நிற்கக்கூடாமற் போயிற்று; கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தை நிரப்பிற்று.

14. So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.
