1. பின்பு மோசே மோவாபின் சமனான வெளிகளிலிருந்து எரிகோவுக்கு எதிரான நெபோ மலையிலிருக்கும் பிஸ்காவின் கொடுமுடியில் ஏறினான்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் அவனுக்கு, தாண்மட்டுமுள்ள கீலேயாத் தேசம் அனைத்தையும்,

1. And Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. And Jehovah caused him to see all the land; Gilead to Dan;

2. நப்தலி தேசம் அனைத்தையும், எப்பிராயீம் மனாசே என்பவர்களின் தேசத்தையும், கடைசிச் சமுத்திரம் வரைக்குமுள்ள யூதா தேசம் அனைத்தையும்,

2. and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah to the sea beyond;

3. தென்புறத்தையும், சோவார் வரைக்குமுள்ள பேரீச்சமரங்களின் பட்டணம் என்னும் ஊர்முதற்கொண்டு எரிகோவின் பள்ளத்தாக்காகிய சமனான பூமியையும் காண்பித்தார்.

3. and the Negeb, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, to Zoar.

4. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: நான் உங்கள் சந்ததிக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் ஈசாக்குக்கும் யாக்கோபுக்கும் ஆணையிட்ட தேசம் இதுதான், இதை உன் கண்காணும்படி செய்தேன்; ஆனாலும் நீ அவ்விடத்திற்குக் கடந்துபோவதில்லை என்றார்.

4. And Jehovah said to him, This is the land which I have sworn to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, I will give it to your seed. I have caused you to see with your eyes, but you shall not cross over there.

5. அப்படியே கர்த்தரின் தாசனாகிய மோசே மோவாப் தேசமான அவ்விடத்திலே கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே மரித்தான்.

5. And Moses the servant of Jehovah died there in the land of Moab, according to the command of Jehovah.

6. அவர் அவனை மோவாப் தேசத்திலுள்ள பெத்பேயோருக்கு எதிரான பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே அடக்கம் பண்ணினார். இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் ஒருவனும் அவன் பிரேதக்குழியை அறியான்.

6. And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor; and no man knows his grave to this day.

7. மோசே மரிக்கிறபோது நூற்றிருபது வயதாயிருந்தான்; அவன் கண் இருளடையவுமில்லை, அவன் பெலன் குறையவுமில்லை.

7. And Moses was a son of a hundred and twenty years at his death; his eye had not become dim, nor had his natural force abated.

8. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் மோவாபின் சமனான வெளிகளில் மோசேக்காக முப்பது நாள் அழுதுகொண்டிருந்தார்கள்; மோசேக்காக அழுது துக்கங்கொண்டாடின நாட்கள் முடிந்தது.

8. And the sons of Israel mourned Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. And the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.

9. மோசே நூனின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவாவின்மேல் தன் கைகளை வைத்தபடியினால் அவன் ஞானத்தின் ஆவியினால் நிறையப்பட்டான்; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே செய்தார்கள்.

9. And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. And the sons of Israel listened to him and did as Jehovah commanded Moses.

10. மோசே எகிப்துதேசத்திலே பார்வோனுக்கும், அவனுடைய எல்லா ஊழியக்காரருக்கும், அவனுடைய தேசம் அனைத்திற்கும் செய்யும்படி கர்த்தர் அவனை அனுப்பிச் செய்வித்த சகல அடையாளங்களையும் அற்புதங்களையும்,

10. And never since has a prophet like Moses arisen in Israel, whom Jehovah knew face to face,

11. அவன் இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லாருக்கும் பிரத்தியட்சமாய்ச் செய்த சகல வல்லமையான கிரியைகளையும், மகா பயங்கரமான செய்கைகளையும் பார்த்தால்,

11. in regard to all the signs and wonders which Jehovah sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants and to all his land;

12. கர்த்தரை முகமுகமாய் அறிந்த மோசேயைப்போல, ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசியும் இஸ்ரவேலில் அப்புறம் எழும்பினதில்லை என்று விளங்கும்.

12. and in regard to all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses showed in the sight of all Israel.
