1. லேவியராகிய ஆசாரியருக்கும் லேவிகோத்திரத்தார் அனைவருக்கும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடன் பங்கும் சுதந்தரமும் இல்லாதிருப்பதாக; கர்த்தருக்கு இடப்படும் தகனபலிகளையும் அவருக்குச் சுதந்தரமானவைகளையும் அவர்கள் புசிப்பார்களாக.
1 கொரிந்தியர் 9:13

1. The priests, the Levites, all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel; they shall eat the offerings of Jehovah by fire, and His portion.

2. அவர்கள் சகோதரருக்குள்ளே அவர்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமில்லை; கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லியபடியே, அவரே அவர்கள் சுதந்தரம்.

2. Therefore they shall have no inheritance among their brethren; Jehovah is their inheritance, as He has spoken to them.

3. ஜனத்தினிடத்தில் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவேண்டிய ஆசாரியருக்குரிய வரத்தாவது: ஜனங்கள் பலியிடும் ஆடுமாடுகளில் முன்னந்தொடையையும், தாடைகளையும், இரைப்பைகளையும் ஆசாரியனுக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.

3. And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, whether it is bull or sheep: they shall give to the priest the shoulder, the cheeks, and the stomach.

4. உன் தானியம், திராட்சரசம், எண்ணெய், ஆட்டுரோமம் என்னும் இவைகளின் முதற்பலனையும் அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.

4. The firstfruits of your grain and your new wine and your oil, and the first of the fleece of your sheep, you shall give to him.

5. அவனும் அவன் குமாரரும் எந்நாளும் கர்த்தரின் நாமத்தை முன்னிட்டு ஆராதனை செய்யும்படி நிற்கும்பொருட்டு, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன் கோத்திரத்தார் எல்லாருக்குள்ளும் அவனையே தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.

5. For Jehovah your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to serve in the name of Jehovah; him and his sons forever.

6. இஸ்ரவேலில் எவ்விடத்திலுமுள்ள உன் வாசல்கள் யாதொன்றிலே தங்கின ஒரு லேவியன் அவ்விடத்தை விட்டு, கர்த்தர் தெரிந்துகொண்ட ஸ்தானத்திற்கு மனப்பூர்வமாய் வந்தால்,

6. Thus if a Levite comes from any of your gates, from where he has been sojourning among all Israel, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which Jehovah chooses,

7. அங்கே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் நிற்கும் லேவியராகிய தன் எல்லாச் சகோதரரைப்போலும் தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் நாமத்தை முன்னிட்டு ஊழியஞ்செய்வான்.

7. then he shall serve in the name of Jehovah his God as all his brethren the Levites do, who stand before Jehovah.

8. அப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய ஆஸ்தியின் விலைக்கிரயத்தை அநுபவிக்கிறதும் அல்லாமல், சாப்பாட்டிற்காகச் சமமானபாகத்தையும் பெற்றுக்கொள்வார்கள்.

8. They shall eat portion like portion, besides their inheritance of the sale of their father's estate.

9. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில் நீ போய்ச் சேரும்போது, அந்த ஜாதிகள் செய்யும் அருவருப்புகளின்படி செய்யக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளவேண்டாம்.

9. When you come into the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you, you shall not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations.

10. தன் மகனையாவது தன் மகளையாவது தீக்கடக்கப்பண்ணுகிறவனும், குறிசொல்லுகிறவனும், நாள் பார்க்கிறவனும், அஞ்சனம்பார்க்கிறவனும், சூனியக்காரனும்,

10. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices divination, or conjuring, or fortunetelling, or sorcery,

11. மந்திரவாதியும், சன்னதக்காரனும், மாயவித்தைக்காரனும், செத்தவர்களிடத்தில் குறிகேட்கிறவனும் உங்களுக்குள்ளே இருக்கவேண்டாம்.

11. or one who charms magic spells, or a medium, or a wizard, or one who calls up the dead.

12. இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைச் செய்கிறவன் எவனும் கர்த்தருக்கு அருவருப்பானவன்; இப்படிப்பட்ட அருவருப்புகளின் நிமித்தம் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவர்களை உன் முன்னின்று துரத்திவிடுகிறார்.

12. For all who do these things are an abomination unto Jehovah, and because of these abominations Jehovah your God is dispossessing them before you.

13. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நீ உத்தமனாயிருக்கக்கடவாய்.

13. You shall be perfect before Jehovah your God.

14. நீ துரத்திவிடப்போகிற இந்த ஜாதிகள் நாள்பார்க்கிறவர்களுக்கும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களுக்கும் செவிகொடுக்கிறார்கள்; நீ அப்படிச் செய்கிறதற்கு உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உத்தரவுகொடார்.

14. For these nations which you shall dispossess listened to fortunetelling and divining. But as for you, Jehovah your God has not consecrated you to such things.

15. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என்னைப்போல ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசியை உனக்காக உன் நடுவே உன் சகோதரரிலிருந்து எழும்பப்பண்ணுவார்; அவருக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பீர்களாக.

15. Jehovah your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear,

16. ஓரேபிலே சபை கூட்டப்பட்ட நாளில்: நான் சாகாதபடி என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்தை இனி நான் கேளாமலும், இந்தப் பெரிய அக்கினியை இனி நான் காணாமலும் இருப்பேனாக என்று உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நீ வேண்டிக்கொண்டதின்படியெல்லாம் அவர் செய்வார்.

16. according to all that you desired of Jehovah your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of Jehovah my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, that I not die.

17. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: அவர்கள் சொன்னது சரியே.

17. And Jehovah said to me: In that, they have spoken well.

18. உன்னைப்போல ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசியை நான் அவர்களுக்காக அவர்கள் சகோதரரிலிருந்து எழும்பப்பண்ணி, என் வார்த்தைகளை அவர் வாயில் அருளுவேன்; நான் அவருக்குக் கற்பிப்பதையெல்லாம் அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லுவார்.

18. I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My Words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.

19. என் நாமத்தினாலே அவர் சொல்லும் என் வார்த்தைகளுக்குச் செவிகொடாதவன் எவனோ அவனை நான் விசாரிப்பேன்.

19. And it shall be that whoever will not give heed to My Words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.

20. சொல்லும்படி நான் கட்டளையிடாத வார்த்தைகளை என் நாமத்தினாலே சொல்லத் துணியும் தீர்க்கதரிசியும், வேறே தேவர்களின் நாமத்தினாலே பேசும் தீர்க்கதரிசியும் சாகக்கடவன்.

20. But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.

21. கர்த்தர் சொல்லாத வார்த்தை இன்னதென்று நான் எப்படி அறிவேன் என்று நீ உன் இருதயத்தில் சொல்வாயாகில்,

21. And if you think in your heart, How shall we know the word which Jehovah has not spoken?

22. ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசி கர்த்தரின் நாமத்தினாலே சொல்லும் காரியம் நடவாமலும் நிறைவேறாமலும் போனால், அது கர்த்தர் சொல்லாத வார்த்தை; அந்தத் தீர்க்கதரிசி அதைத் துணிகரத்தினால் சொன்னான்; அவனுக்கு நீ பயப்படவேண்டாம்.

22. when a prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which Jehovah has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
