1. சீனாய் மலையில் கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடே பேசின நாளிலே, ஆரோன் மோசே என்பவர்களுடைய வம்சவரலாறாவது:

1. These also [are] the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day [that] the LORD spoke with Moses in mount Sinai.

2. ஆரோனுடைய குமாரர், முதல் பிறந்தவனாகிய நாதாப், அபியூ, எலெயாசார், இத்தாமார் என்பவர்களே.

2. And these [are] the names of the sons of Aaron; Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

3. ஆசாரிய ஊழியம் செய்கிறதற்கு அவனால் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்யப்பட்டு அபிஷேகம் பெற்ற ஆசாரியரான ஆரோனுடைய குமாரரின் நாமங்கள் இவைகளே.

3. These [are] the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests who were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest's office.

4. நாதாபும் அபியூவும் சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்தில் அந்நிய அக்கினியைக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் கொண்டுவந்தபோது, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் மரித்துப்போனார்கள்; அவர்களுக்குப் பிள்ளைகள் இல்லை; எலெயாசாரும் இத்தாமாருமே தங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய ஆரோனுக்கு முன்பாக ஆசாரிய ஊழியம் செய்தார்கள்;

4. And Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered strange fire before the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the sight of Aaron their father.

5. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

5. And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

6. நீ லேவிகோத்திரத்தாரைச் சேர்த்து, அவர்கள் ஆசாரியனாகிய ஆரோனுக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்யும்படி அவர்களை நிறுத்து.

6. Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him.

7. அவர்கள் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்கு முன்பாக அவனுடைய காவலையும் எல்லாச் சபையின் காவலையும் காத்து, வாசஸ்தலத்தின் பணிவிடை வேலைகளைச் செய்யக்கடவர்கள்.

7. And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle.

8. அவர்கள் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தின் தட்டுமுட்டு முதலானவைகளையும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் காவலையும் காத்து, வாசஸ்தலத்தின் பணிவிடைகளைச் செய்யக்கடவர்கள்.

8. And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.

9. ஆகையால் லேவியரை ஆரோனிடத்திலும் அவன் குமாரரிடத்திலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பாயாக; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் இவர்கள் முற்றிலும் அவனுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

9. And thou shalt give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons: they [are] wholly given to him out of the children of Israel.

10. ஆரோனையும் அவன் குமாரரையுமோ, தங்கள் ஆசாரிய ஊழியத்தைச் செய்வதற்காக நியமிக்கக்கடவாய், அந்த ஊழியத்தைச் செய்யும்படி சேருகிற அந்நியன் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவன் என்றார்.

10. And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh near shall be put to death.

11. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

11. And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

12. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் கர்ப்பந்திறந்து பிறக்கிற முதற்பேறான யாவுக்கும் பதிலாக, நான் லேவியரை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலிருந்து எடுத்துக்கொண்டேன்; அவர்கள் என்னுடையவர்களாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.

12. And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the womb among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine;

13. முதற்பேறானவையெல்லாம் என்னுடையவை; நான் எகிப்துதேசத்தில் முதற்பேறான யாவையும் சங்கரித்த நாளில், இஸ்ரவேலில் மனிதர்முதல் மிருகஜீவன் மட்டுமுள்ள முதற்பேறான யாவையும் எனக்கென்று பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தினதினாலே, அவைகள் என்னுடையவைகளாயிருக்கும்; நான் கர்த்தர் என்றார்.

13. Because all the firstborn [are] mine; [for] on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed to me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine they shall be: I [am] the LORD.

14. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்தில் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

14. And the LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,

15. லேவிபுத்திரரை அவர்கள் பிதாக்களின் வம்சங்களின்படியே எண்ணுவாயாக; அவர்களில் ஒரு மாதம் முதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள ஆண்பிள்ளைகளையெல்லாம் எண்ணுவாயாக என்றார்.

15. Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.

16. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய வாக்கின்படி, மோசே தனக்குக் கற்பிக்கப்பட்ட பிரகாரம் அவர்களை எண்ணினான்.

16. And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded.

17. லேவியின் குமாரர் தங்கள் நாமங்களின்படியே, கெர்சோன், கோகாத், மெராரி என்பவர்கள்.

17. And these were the sons of Levi by their names; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.

18. தங்கள் வம்சத்தின்படியே கெர்சோனுடைய குமாரரின் நாமங்கள், லிப்னீ, சீமேயி என்பவைகள்.

18. And these [are] the names of the sons of Gershon by their families; Libni, and Shimei.

19. தங்கள் வம்சங்களின்படியே கோகாத்துடைய குமாரர் அம்ராம், இத்சேயார், எப்ரோன், ஊசியேல் என்பவர்கள்.

19. And the sons of Kohath by their families; Amram, and Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

20. தங்கள் வம்சங்களின்படியே மெராரியினுடைய குமாரர், மகேலி, மூசி என்பவர்கள்; இவர்களே லேவியருடைய பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தார்.

20. And the sons of Merari by their families; Mahli, and Mushi. These [are] the families of the Levites according to the house of their fathers.

21. கெர்சோனின் வழியாய் லிப்னீயரின் வம்சமும் சீமேயியர் வம்சமும் தோன்றின; இவைகளே கெர்சோனியரின் வம்சங்கள்.

21. Of Gershon [was] the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimites: these [are] the families of the Gershonites.

22. அவர்களில் ஒரு மாதம் முதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள ஆண்பிள்ளைகளெல்லாம் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது, எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் ஏழாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேராயிருந்தார்கள்.

22. Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, [even] those that were numbered of them [were] seven thousand and five hundred.

23. கெர்சோனியரின் வம்சங்கள் வாசஸ்தலத்தின் பின்புறத்தில் மேற்கே பாளயமிறங்கவேண்டும்.

23. The families of the Gershonites shall encamp behind the tabernacle westward.

24. கெர்சோனியருடைய தகப்பன் வம்சத்துக்குத் தலைவன் லாயேலின் குமாரனாகிய எலியாசாப் என்பவன்.

24. And the head of the house of the father of the Gershonites [shall be] Eliasaph the son of Lael.

25. ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்திலே கெர்சோன் புத்திரரின் காவலாவது: வாசஸ்தலமும், கூடாரமும், அதின் மூடியும், ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசல் மறைவும்,

25. And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation [shall be] the tabernacle, and the tent, its covering and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,

26. வாசஸ்தலத்தண்டையிலும் பலிபீடத்தண்டையிலும் சுற்றிலும் இருக்கிற பிராகாரத்தின் தொங்குதிரைகளும், பிராகாரவாசல் மூடுதிரையும், அவைகளின் வேலைகளுக்கெல்லாம் உரிய அவைகளின் கயிறுகளுமே.

26. And the hangings of the court, and the curtain for the door of the court, which [is] around the tabernacle, and the altar, and the cords of it for all the service of it.

27. கோகாத்தின் வழியாய் அம்ராமியரின் வம்சமும் இத்சேயாரின் வம்சமும் எப்ரோனியரின் வம்சமும் ஊசியேலரின் வம்சமும் தோன்றின; இவைகளே கோகாத்தியரின் வம்சங்கள்.

27. And of Kohath [was] the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these [are] the families of the Kohathites.

28. ஒரு மாதம் முதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள ஆண்பிள்ளைகளெல்லாம் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது, பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குரியவைகளைக் காப்பவர்கள், எண்ணாயிரத்து அறுநூறுபேராயிருந்தார்கள்.

28. In the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, [were] eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary.

29. கோகாத் புத்திரரின் வம்சங்கள் வாசஸ்தலத்தின் தென்புறமான பக்கத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கவேண்டும்.

29. The families of the sons of Kohath shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle southward.

30. அவர்களின் தலைவன், ஊசியேலின் குமாரனாகிய எல்சாபான்.

30. And the head of the house of the father of the families of the Kohathites [shall be] Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.

31. அவர்களுடைய காவலாவது: பெட்டியும், மேஜையும், குத்துவிளக்கும், பீடங்களும், ஆராதனைக்கேற்ற பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தின் பணிமுட்டுகளும், தொங்குதிரையும், அதினுடைய எல்லா வேலைகளுக்கும் ஏற்றவைகளுமே.

31. And their charge [shall be] the ark, and the table, and the lampstand, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary by which they minister, and the hanging, and all the service of it.

32. ஆசாரியனாகிய ஆரோனின் குமாரன் எலெயாசார் என்பவன் லேவியருடைய தலைவர்களுக்குத் தலைவனாய்ப் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைக் காவல்காக்கிறவர்களுக்கு விசாரிப்புக்காரனாயிருக்கவேண்டும்.

32. And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest [shall be] chief over the leaders of the Levites, [and have] the oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary.

33. மெராரியின் வழியாய் மகேலியரின் வம்சமும் மூசியரின் வம்சமும் தோன்றின; இவைகளே மெராரியின் வம்சங்கள்.

33. Of Merari [was] the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites: these [are] the families of Merari.

34. அவர்களில் ஒரு மாதம் முதல் அதற்குமேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள ஆண்பிள்ளைகளெல்லாம் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது, எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் ஆறாயிரத்து இருநூறுபேராயிருந்தார்கள்.

34. And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, [were] six thousand and two hundred.

35. அபியாயேலின் குமாரனாகிய சூரியேல் என்பவன் அவர்களுக்குத் தலைவனாயிருந்தான்; இவர்கள் வாசஸ்தலத்தின் வடபுறமான பக்கத்தில் பாளயமிறங்கவேண்டும்.

35. And the head of the house of the father of the families of Merari [was] Zuriel the son of Abihail: [these] shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle northward.

36. அவர்களுடைய காவல் விசாரிப்பாவது: வாசஸ்தலத்தின் பலகைகளும், தாழ்ப்பாள்களும், தூண்களும், பாதங்களும், அதினுடைய எல்லாப் பணிமுட்டுகளும், அதற்கடுத்தவைகள் அனைத்தும்,

36. And [under] the custody and charge of the sons of Merari [shall be] the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets, and all its vessels, and all the service concerning it,

37. சுற்றுப்பிராகாரத்தின் தூண்களும், அவைகளின் பாதங்களும், முளைகளும், கயிறுகளுமே.

37. And the pillars around the court, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords.

38. ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரமாகிய வாசஸ்தலத்துக்கு முன்பாக, சூரியன் உதிக்கும் கீழ்ப்புறத்திலே மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் அவன் குமாரரும் கூடாரங்களைப் போட்டு இறங்கி, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் காவலுக்குப் பதிலாகப் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைக் காவல் காக்கவேண்டும். வாசஸ்தலத்தில் சேருகிற அந்நியன் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவன்.

38. But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, [even] before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, [shall be] Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh near shall be put to death.

39. மோசேயும், ஆரோனும், கர்த்தருடைய வாக்கின்படி, லேவியரில் ஒரு மாதம் முதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள ஆண்பிள்ளைகளையெல்லாம் அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படியே எண்ணினார்கள்; அவர்கள் இருபத்தீராயிரம்பேராயிருந்தார்கள்.

39. All that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of the LORD, throughout their families, all the males from a month old and upward, [were] twenty and two thousand.

40. அதன் பின்பு கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் ஒரு மாதம் முதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள முதற்பேறான ஆண்பிள்ளைகளையெல்லாம் எண்ணி அவர்கள் நாமங்களைத் தொகையேற்றி,

40. And the LORD said to Moses, Number all the firstborn of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.

41. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலுள்ள முதற்பேறான யாவுக்கும் பதிலாக லேவியரையும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் மிருகஜீவன்களிலுள்ள தலையீற்றான யாவுக்கும் பதிலாக லேவியரின் மிருகஜீவன்களையும் எனக்கென்று பிரித்தெடு; நான் கர்த்தர் என்றார்.

41. And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I [am] the LORD) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel.

42. அப்பொழுது மோசே, கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலுள்ள முதற்பேறான யாவரையும் எண்ணினான்.

42. And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel.

43. ஒரு மாதம் முதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள முதற்பேறான ஆண்பிள்ளைகளெல்லாரும் பேர்பேராக எண்ணப்பட்டபோது, இருபத்தீராயிரத்து இருநூற்று எழுபத்துமூன்றுபேராயிருந்தார்கள்.

43. And all the firstborn males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand two hundred and seventy and three.

44. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

44. And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

45. நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலுள்ள முதற்பேறான யாவருக்கும் பதிலாக லேவியரையும், அவர்களுடைய மிருகஜீவன்களுக்குப்பதிலாக லேவியரின் மிருகஜீவன்களையும் பிரித்தெடு; லேவியர் என்னுடையவர்களாயிருப்பார்கள்; நான் கர்த்தர்.

45. Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I [am] the LORD.

46. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய முதற்பேறுகளில் லேவியரின் தொகைக்கு அதிகமாயிருந்து, மீட்கப்படவேண்டிய இருநூற்று எழுபத்துமூன்றுபேரிடத்திலும்,

46. And for those that are to be redeemed of the two hundred and seventy and three of the firstborn of the children of Israel, which are more than the Levites;

47. நீ தலைக்கு ஐந்து சேக்கல் வீதமாகப் பரிசுத்த சேக்கல் கணக்கின்படி வாங்குவாயாக; அந்தச் சேக்கலானது இருபது கேரா.

47. Thou shalt even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take [them]: (the shekel [is] twenty gerahs:)

48. லேவியருடைய தொகைக்கு அதிகமானவர்கள் மீட்கப்படும் திரவியத்தை ஆரோனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரருக்கும் கொடுப்பாயாக என்றார்.

48. And thou shalt give to Aaron and to his sons the money, by which the odd number of them is to be redeemed,

49. அப்படியே லேவியரால் மீட்கப்பட்டவர்களின் தொகைக்கு அதிகமாயிருந்து, இன்னும் மீட்கப்படவேண்டியவர்களுக்கு ஈடாக மோசே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய முதற்பேறானவர்களிடத்தில்,

49. And Moses took the redemption money of them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites:

50. ஆயிரத்து முந்நூற்று அறுபத்தைந்து சேக்கலாகிய திரவியத்தை, பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துச் சேக்கல் கணக்கின்படி வாங்கி,

50. Of the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money; a thousand three hundred and sixty and five [shekels], after the shekel of the sanctuary:

51. கர்த்தருடைய வாக்கின்படியே மீட்கப்பட்டவர்களின் கிரயத்தை ஆரோனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரருக்கும், கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே கொடுத்தான்.

51. And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed to Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.
