1. மேலும், நீ அவர்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கவேண்டிய பிரமாணங்களாவன:

1. Now these are the ordinances which thou shalt set before them.

2. எபிரெயரில் ஒரு அடிமையைக் கொண்டாயானால், அவன் ஆறுவருஷம் சேவித்து, ஏழாம் வருஷத்திலே ஒன்றும் கொடாமல் விடுதலைப்பெற்றுப் போகக்கடவன்.
யோவான் 8:35

2. If thou buy a Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.

3. ஒன்றிக்காரனாய் வந்திருந்தானானால், ஒன்றிக்காரனாய்ப் போகக்கடவன்; விவாகம்பண்ணினவனாய் வந்திருந்தானானால், அவன் பெண்ஜாதி அவனோடேகூடப் போகக்கடவள்.

3. If he come in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he be married, then his wife shall go out with him.

4. அவன் எஜமான் அவனுக்கு ஒரு பெண்ணை விவாகஞ்செய்துகொடுத்தும், அவள் அவனுக்கு ஆண்பிள்ளைகளையாவது பெண்பிள்ளைகளையாவது பெற்றும் இருந்தால், அந்தப் பெண்ணும் அவள் பிள்ளைகளும் அவள் எஜமானைச் சேரக்கடவர்கள்; அவன் மாத்திரம் ஒன்றியாய்ப் போகக்கடவன்.

4. If his master give him a wife and she bear him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself.

5. அந்த வேலைக்காரன்: என் எஜமானையும் என் பெண்ஜாதியையும் என் பிள்ளைகளையும் நேசிக்கிறேன்; நான் விடுதலை பெற்றுப்போக மனதில்லை என்று மனப்பூர்வமாய்ச் சொல்வானானால்,

5. But if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:

6. அவன் எஜமான் அவனை நியாயாதிபதிகளிடத்தில் அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், அவனைக் கதவின் அருகேயாவது கதவுநிலையின் அருகேயாவது சேரப்பண்ணி, அங்கே அவன் எஜமான் அவன் காதைக் கம்பியினால் குத்தக்கடவன்; பின்பு அவன் என்றைக்கும் அவனிடத்திலே சேவித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கக்கடவன்.

6. then his master shall bring him unto God, and shall bring him to the door, or unto the door-post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever.

7. ஒருவன் தன் மகளை வேலைக்காரியாக விற்றுப்போட்டானானால், வேலைக்காரன் விடுதலைபெற்றுப் போவதுபோல அவள் போகக்கூடாது.

7. And if a man sell his daughter to be a maid-servant, she shall not go out as the men-servants do.

8. அவளைத் தனக்கு நியமித்துக்கொண்ட எஜமானின் பார்வைக்கு அவள் தகாதவளாய்ப் போனால், அவள் மீட்கப்படலாம்; அவன் அவளுக்குத் துரோகம்பண்ணி, அவளை அந்நியர் கையில் விற்றுப்போட அவனுக்கு அதிகாரம் இல்லை.

8. If she please not her master, who hath espoused her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a foreign people he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.

9. அவன் தன் குமாரனுக்கு அவளை நியமித்திருந்தானானால், தன் குமாரத்திகளை நடத்துவதுபோல அவளையும் நடத்தக்கடவன்.

9. And if he espouse her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.

10. அவன் வேறொரு பெண்ணைக் கொண்டானாகில், இவளுக்குரிய அன்னவஸ்திர விவாகக்கடமை ஆகிய இவைகளில் குறைவுசெய்யாமல் இருப்பானாக.

10. If he take him another [wife]; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.

11. இம்மூன்றும் அவன் அவளுக்குச் செய்யாமற்போனால், அவள் பணங்கொடாமல் விடுதலைபெற்றுப்போகக்கடவள்.

11. And if he do not these three things unto her, then shall she go out for nothing, without money.

12. ஒரு மனிதனைச் சாகும்படி அடித்தவன், நிச்சயமாய்க் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவன்.
மத்தேயு 5:21

12. He that smiteth a man, so that he dieth, shall surely be put to death.

13. ஒருவன் பதிவிருந்து கொல்லாமல், தேவச்செயலாய்த் தன் கைக்கு நேரிட்டவனைக் கொன்றால், அவன் ஓடிப்போய்ச் சேரவேண்டிய ஸ்தலத்தை உனக்கு நியமிப்பேன்.

13. And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver [him] into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.

14. ஒருவன் பிறனுக்கு விரோதமாகச் சதிமோசஞ்செய்து, அவனைத் துணிகரமாய்க் கொன்றுபோட்டால், அவனை என்பலிபீடத்திலிருந்தும் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோய்க் கொலைசெய்யவேண்டும்.

14. And if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbor, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.

15. தன் தகப்பனையாவது தன் தாயையாவது அடிக்கிறவன் நிச்சயமாய்க் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவன்.

15. And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.

16. ஒருவன் ஒரு மனிதனைத் திருடி விற்றுப்போட்டாலும், இவன் அவன் வசத்திலிருக்கக் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டாலும், அவன் நிச்சயமாய்க் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவன்.

16. And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.

17. தன் தகப்பனையாவது தன் தாயையாவது சபிக்கிறவன் நிச்சயமாய்க் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவன்.

17. And he that curseth his father or his mother, shall surely be put to death.

18. மனிதர் சண்டைபண்ணி, ஒருவன் மற்றொருவனைக் கல்லால் எறிந்ததினாலாவது கையால் அடித்ததினாலாவது அவன் சாவாமல் கட்டில் கிடையாய்க்கிடந்து,

18. And if men contend, and one smite the other with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keep his bed;

19. திரும்ப எழுந்திருந்து வெளியிலே தன் ஊன்றுகோலைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு நடமாடினால், அடித்தவன் ஆக்கினைக்கு நீங்கலாயிருப்பான்; ஆனாலும் அவனுக்கு வேலை மினக்கெட்ட நஷ்டத்தைக் கொடுத்து, அவனை நன்றாய்க் குணமாக்குவிக்கக்கடவன்.

19. if he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.

20. ஒருவன் தனக்கு அடிமையானவனையாவது தனக்கு அடிமையானவளையாவது, கோலால் அடித்ததினாலே, அவன் கையால் இறந்துபோனால், பழிக்குப்பழி வாங்கப்படவேண்டும்.

20. And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall surely be punished.

21. ஒரு நாளாவது இரண்டு நாளாவது உயிரோடிருந்தால், அவர்கள் அவனுடைய உடைமையாகையால், பழிவாங்கவேண்டியதில்லை.

21. Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.

22. மனிதர் சண்டைபண்ணி, கர்ப்பவதியான ஒரு ஸ்திரீயை அடித்ததினால், அவளுக்கு வேறே சேதமில்லாமல் கர்ப்பம் விழுந்துபோனால், அடிபட்ட ஸ்திரீயின் புருஷன் அடித்தவன்மேல் சுமத்துகிறதற்குத்தக்கதாயும் நியாயாதிபதிகள் செய்யும் தீர்ப்பின்படியும் தண்டம் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.

22. And if men strive together, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart, and yet no harm follow; he shall be surely fined, according as the woman's husband shall lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

23. வேறே சேதமுண்டானால், ஜீவனுக்கு ஜீவன்,

23. But if any harm follow, then thou shalt give life for life,

24. கண்ணுக்குக் கண், பல்லுக்குப் பல், கைக்குக் கை, காலுக்குக் கால்,
மத்தேயு 5:38

24. eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

25. சூட்டுக்குச் சூடு, காயத்துக்குக் காயம், தழும்புக்குத் தழும்பு பழி கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.

25. burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

26. ஒருவன் தன் அடிமையானவன் கண்ணையாகிலும் தன் அடிமைப்பெண்ணின் கண்ணையாகிலும் அடித்ததினால் அதைக் கெடுத்தால், அவன் கண்ணுக்குப் பதிலாக அவனை விடுதலை பண்ணிவிடவேண்டும்.

26. And if a man smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, and destroy it; he shall let him go free for his eye's sake.

27. அவன் தன் அடிமையானவன் பல்லையாவது தன் அடிமைப்பெண்ணின் பல்லையாவது உதிர அடித்தால், அவன் பல்லுக்குப்பதிலாக அவனை விடுதலைபண்ணிவிடவேண்டும்.

27. And if he smite out his man-servant's tooth, or his maid-servant's tooth, he shall let him go free for his tooth's sake.

28. ஒரு மாடு ஒரு புருஷனையாவது ஒரு ஸ்திரீயையாவது முட்டினதினால் சாவுண்டானால், அந்த மாடு கல்லெறியப்படவேண்டும், அதின் மாம்சம் புசிக்கப்படலாகாது; அப்பொழுது மாட்டின் எஜமான் ஆக்கினைக்கு நீங்கலாயிருப்பான்.

28. And if an ox gore a man or a woman to death, the ox shall be surely stoned, and its flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit.

29. தன் மாடு வழக்கமாய் முட்டுகிற மாடாயிருந்து, அது அதின் எஜமானுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டும், அவன் அதைக் கட்டிவைக்காததினால், அது ஒரு புருஷனையாவது ஒரு ஸ்திரீயையாவது கொன்று போட்டால், மாடும் கல்லெறியப்படவேண்டும், அதின் எஜமானும் கொலை செய்யப்படவேண்டும்.

29. But if the ox was wont to gore in time past, and it hath been testified to its owner, and he hath not kept it in, but it hath killed a man or a woman, the ox shall be stoned, and its owner also shall be put to death.

30. அபராதம் கொடுக்கும்படி தீர்க்கப்பட்டதானால், அவன் தன் ஜீவனை மீட்கும் பொருளாக விதிக்கப்பட்ட அபராதத்தைக் கொடுக்கக்கடவன்.

30. If there be laid on him a ransom, then he shall give for the redemption of his life whatsoever is laid upon him.

31. அது ஒருவன் மகனை முட்டினாலும் சரி, ஒருவன் மகளை முட்டினாலும் சரி, இந்தத் தீர்ப்பின்படியே அவனுக்குச் செய்யப்படவேண்டும்.

31. Whether it have gored a son, or have gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him.

32. அந்த மாடு ஒரு அடிமையானவனையாவது ஒரு அடிமைப்பெண்ணையாவது முட்டினால், அதற்கு உடையவன் அவர்களுடைய எஜமானுக்கு முப்பது சேக்கல் நிறையான வெள்ளியைக் கொடுக்கக்கடவன்; மாடு கல்லெறியப்படவேண்டும்.
மத்தேயு 26:15

32. If the ox gore a man-servant or a maid-servant, there shall be given unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned.

33. ஒருவன் ஒரு குழியைத் திறந்து வைத்ததினாலாவது, ஒரு குழியை வெட்டி அதை மூடாதேபோனதினாலாவது, அதிலே ஒரு மாடாவது ஒரு கழுதையாவது விழுந்தால்,

33. And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein,

34. குழிக்கு உடையவன் அதற்கு ஈடாகப் பணத்தை மிருகத்தின் எஜமானுக்குக் கொடுக்கக்கடவன்; செத்ததோ அவனுடையதாகவேண்டும்.

34. the owner of the pit shall make it good; he shall give money unto the owner thereof, and the dead [beast] shall be his.

35. ஒருவனுடைய மாடு மற்றவனுடைய மாட்டை முட்டினதினால் அது செத்தால், உயிரோடிருக்கிற மாட்டை அவர்கள் விற்று, அதின் கிரயத்தைப் பங்கிட்டு, செத்ததையும் பங்கிட்டுக்கொள்ளக்கடவர்கள்.

35. And if one man's ox hurt another's, so that it dieth, then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the price of it: and the dead also they shall divide.

36. அந்த மாடு முன்னமே முட்டுகிற மாடென்று அதின் எஜமான் அறிந்திருந்தும், அதைக் கட்டிவைக்காதிருந்தால், அவன் மாட்டுக்கு மாட்டைக் கொடுக்கக்கடவன்; செத்ததோ அவனுடையதாக வேண்டும்.

36. Or if it be known that the ox was wont to gore in time past, and its owner hath not kept it in, he shall surely pay ox for ox, and the dead [beast] shall be his own.
