1. மனாசே ராஜாவாகிறபோது பன்னிரண்டு வயதாயிருந்து, ஐம்பத்தைந்துவருஷம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டான்; அவன் தாயின் பேர் எப்சிபாள்.

1. Menashsheh was twelve years old when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty-five years in Yerushalayim: and his mother's name was Heftzi-Bah.

2. கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்தின ஜாதிகளுடைய அருவருப்புகளின்படியே, அவன் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்து,

2. He did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the nations whom the LORD cast out before the children of Yisra'el.

3. தன் தகப்பனாகிய எசேக்கியா இடித்துப்போட்ட மேடைகளைத் திரும்பவும் கட்டி, பாகாலுக்குப் பலிபீடங்களை எடுப்பித்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாப் செய்ததுபோல விக்கிரகத்தோப்பை உண்டாக்கி, வானத்தின் சேனைகளையெல்லாம் பணிந்துகொண்டு அவைகளைச் சேவித்தான்.

3. For he built again the high places which Hizkiyahu his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Ba`al, and made an Asherah, as did Ach'av king of Yisra'el, and worshiped all the host of the sky, and served them.

4. எருசலேமிலே என் நாமத்தை விளங்கப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லிக் குறித்த கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலே அவன் பலிபீடங்களைக் கட்டி,

4. He built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD said, In Yerushalayim will I put my name.

5. கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் இரண்டு பிராகாரங்களிலும் வானத்தின் சேனைகளுக்கெல்லாம் பலிபீடங்களைக் கட்டி,

5. He built altars for all the host of the sky in the two courts of the house of the LORD.

6. தன் குமாரனைத் தீமிதிக்கப்பண்ணி, நாள்பார்க்கிறவனும் நிமித்தம்பார்க்கிறவனுமாயிருந்து, அஞ்சனம் பார்க்கிறவர்களையும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களையும் வைத்து, கர்த்தருக்குக் கோபமுண்டாக அவர் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதை மிகுதியாய்ச் செய்தான்.

6. He made his son to pass through the fire, and practiced sorcery, and used enchantments, and dealt with those who had familiar spirits, and with wizards: he worked much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

7. இந்த ஆலயத்திலும், நான் இஸ்ரவேலின் சகல கோத்திரங்களிலுமிருந்து தெரிந்துகொண்ட எருசலேமிலும், என்நாமத்தை என்றைக்கும் விளங்கப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் தாவீதோடும் அவன் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோனோடும் சொல்லிக் குறித்த ஆலயத்திலே அவன் பண்ணின தோப்புவிக்கிரகத்தை வைத்தான்.

7. He set the engraved image of Asherah, that he had made, in the house of which the LORD said to David and to Shlomo his son, In this house, and in Yerushalayim, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Yisra'el, will I put my name forever;

8. நான் அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பித்த எல்லாவற்றின்படியேயும், என் தாசனாகிய மோசே அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பித்த எல்லா நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படியேயும் செய்ய ஜாக்கிரதையாய் இருந்தார்களேயானால், நான் இனி இஸ்ரவேலின் காலை அவர்கள் பிதாக்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த தேசத்தை விட்டு அலையப்பண்ணுவதில்லை என்று சொல்லியிருந்தார்.

8. neither will I cause the feet of Yisra'el to wander any more out of the land which I gave their fathers, if only they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moshe commanded them.

9. ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் கேளாதேபோனார்கள்; கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு முன்பாக அழித்த ஜாதிகள் செய்த பொல்லாப்பைப்பார்க்கிலும் அதிகமாய்ச் செய்ய மனாசே அவர்களை ஏவிவிட்டான்.

9. But they didn't listen: and Menashsheh seduced them to do that which is evil more than did the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Yisra'el.

10. ஆகையால் கர்த்தர் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகிய தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரைக் கொண்டு உரைத்தது:

10. The LORD spoke by his servants the prophets, saying,

11. யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய மனாசே தனக்கு முன்னிருந்த எமோரியர் செய்த எல்லாவற்றைப்பார்க்கிலும் கேடாக இந்த அருவருப்புகளைச் செய்து, தன் நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களால் யூதாவையும் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணினபடியினால்,

11. Because Menashsheh king of Yehudah has done these abominations, and has done wickedly above all that the Amori did, who were before him, and has made Yehudah also to sin with his idols;

12. இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, கேட்கப்போகிற யாவருடைய இரண்டு காதுகளிலும் அது தொனித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்படியான பொல்லாப்பை நான் எருசலேமின்மேலும் யூதாவின்மேலும் வரப்பண்ணி,

12. therefore thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, Behold, I bring such evil on Yerushalayim and Yehudah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears shall tingle.

13. எருசலேமின்மேல் சமாரியாவின் மட்டநூலையும் ஆகாப் வீட்டின் தூக்கு நூலையும் பிடிப்பேன்; ஒருவன் ஒரு தாலத்தைத் துடைத்துப் பின்பு அதைக் கவிழ்த்துவைக்கிறதுபோல எருசலேமைத் துடைத்துவிடுவேன்.

13. I will stretch over Yerushalayim the line of Shomron, and the plummet of the house of Ach'av; and I will wipe Yerushalayim as a man wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

14. அவர்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்கள் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட நாள்முதற்கொண்டு இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் என் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்து, எனக்குக் கோபம் மூட்டிவந்தபடியினால், என் சுதந்தரத்தில் மீதியானதைக் கைவிட்டு, அவர்கள் பகைஞரின் கையில் அவர்களை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்.

14. I will cast off the remnant of my inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;

15. தங்கள் பகைஞருக்கெல்லாம் கொள்ளையும் சூறையுமாய்ப் போவார்கள் என்றார்.

15. because they have done that which is evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Mitzrayim, even to this day.

16. கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்யும்படியாக, மனாசே யூதாவைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின அந்தப் பாவமும் தவிர, அவன் எருசலேமை நாலு மூலைவரையும் இரத்தப்பழிகளால் நிரப்பத்தக்கதாய், குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தையும் மிகுதியாகச் சிந்தினான்.

16. Moreover Menashsheh shed innocent blood very much, until he had filled Yerushalayim from one end to another; besides his sin with which he made Yehudah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.

17. மனாசேயின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும், அவன் செய்த பாவமும் யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

17. Now the rest of the acts of Menashsheh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yehudah?

18. மனாசே தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தபின், அவன் ஊசாவின் தோட்டமாகிய தன் அரமனைத் தோட்டத்தில் அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் அவன் குமாரனாகிய ஆமோன் ராஜாவானான்.

18. Menashsheh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his place.

19. ஆமோன் ராஜாவானபோது இருபத்திரண்டு வயதாயிருந்து, இரண்டு வருஷம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டான்; யோத்பா ஊரானாகிய ஆரூத்சின் குமாரத்தியான அவன் தாயின் பேர் மெசுல்லேமேத்.

19. Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned two years in Yerushalayim: and his mother's name was Meshullemet the daughter of Harutz of Yotvah.

20. அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய மனாசே செய்ததுபோல, கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்து,

20. He did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Menashsheh his father.

21. தன் தகப்பன் நடந்த எல்லா வழியிலும் நடந்து, தன் தகப்பன் சேவித்த நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களைச் சேவித்து அவைகளைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு,

21. He walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshiped them:

22. கர்த்தரின் வழியிலே நடவாமல், தன் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை விட்டுவிட்டான்.

22. and he forsook the LORD, the God of his fathers, and didn't walk in the way of the LORD.

23. ஆமோனின் ஊழியக்காரர் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி, ராஜாவை அவன் அரமனையிலே கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள்.

23. The servants of Amon conspired against him, and put the king to death in his own house.

24. அதினால் தேசத்து ஜனங்கள் ராஜாவாகிய ஆமோனுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணினவர்களையெல்லாம் வெட்டிப்போட்டு, அவன் குமாரனாகிய யோசியாவை அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவாக்கினார்கள்.

24. But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Yoshiyahu his son king in his place.

25. ஆமோன் செய்த மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்கள் யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

25. Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yehudah?

26. அவன் ஊசாவின் தோட்டத்திலுள்ள அவனுடைய கல்லறையில் அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவன் ஸ்தானத்திலே அவன் குமாரனாகிய யோசியா ராஜாவானான்.

26. He was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza: and Yoshiyahu his son reigned in his place.
