1. இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் இருபத்தேழாம் வருஷத்தில், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அமத்சியாவின் குமாரன் அசரியா ராஜாவானான்.

1. In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah the son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign.

2. அவன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது பதினாறு வயதாயிருந்து, ஐம்பத்திரண்டு வருஷம் எருசலேமிலே அரசாண்டான்; எருசலேம் நகரத்தாளான அவன் தாயின் பேர் எக்கோலியாள்.

2. He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.

3. அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய அமத்சியா செய்தபடியெல்லாம் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான்.

3. And he did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, according to all things that Amaziah his father did.

4. மேடைகள் மாத்திரம் அகற்றப்படவில்லை; ஜனங்கள் இன்னும் மேடைகள்மேல் பலியிட்டுத் தூபங்காட்டிவந்தார்கள்.

4. Only he took not away [any] of the high places; for the people still sacrificed and burnt incense on the high places.

5. கர்த்தர் இந்த ராஜாவை வாதித்ததினால், அவன் தன் மரணநாள்மட்டும் குஷ்டரோகியாயிருந்து, தனித்து ஒரு வீட்டிலே வாசம்பண்ணினான்; ராஜாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோதாம் அரமனை விசாரிப்புக்காரனாயிருந்து, தேசத்தின் ஜனங்களை நியாயம் விசாரித்தான்.

5. And the Lord plagued the king, and he was leprous till the day of his death; and he reigned in a separate house. And Jotham the king's son [was] over the household, judging the people of the land.

6. அசரியாவின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும், யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

6. And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, [are] not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

7. அசரியா தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தபின், அவனைத் தாவீதின் நகரத்திலே அவன் பிதாக்களண்டையிலே அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அவன் குமாரனாகிய யோதாம் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

7. And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the City of David. And Jotham his son reigned in his place.

8. யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அசரியாவின் முப்பத்தெட்டாம் வருஷத்திலே யெரொபெயாமின் குமாரனாகிய சகரியா இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் சமாரியாவிலே ஆறுமாதம் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணி,

8. In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in Samaria,[and reigned] six months.

9. தன் பிதாக்கள் செய்ததுபோல, கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை அவன் விட்டு விலகவில்லை.

9. And he did that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his fathers had done. He departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

10. யாபேசின் குமாரனாகிய சல்லூம் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி, ஜனத்தின் முன்பாக அவனை வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

10. And Shallum the son of Jabesh, [and others] conspired against him, and they struck him [in] Keblam and killed him, and he reigned in his place.

11. சகரியாவின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

11. And the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

12. உன் குமாரர் நாலாம் தலைமுறை மட்டும் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் வீற்றிருப்பார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் யெகூவோடே சொன்ன வார்த்தை இதுதான்; அப்படியே ஆயிற்று.

12. [This was] the word of the Lord which He spoke to Jehu, saying, Your sons of the fourth generation shall sit upon the throne of Israel. And it was so.

13. யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய உசியாவின் முப்பத்தொன்பதாம் வருஷத்தில் யாபேசின் குமாரனாகிய சல்லூம் ராஜாவாகி, சமாரியாவில் ஒரு மாதம் அரசாண்டான்.

13. And Shallum the son of Jabesh reigned. And in the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Shallum began to reign in Samaria.[He reigned] a full month.

14. காதியின் குமாரனாகிய மெனாகேம் திர்சாவிலிருந்து சமாரியாவுக்கு வந்து, யாபேசின் குமாரனாகிய சல்லூமைச் சமாரியாவிலே வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

14. And Menahem the son of Gadi went up out of Tirzah and came to Samaria, and struck Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and killed him.

15. சல்லூமின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்த கட்டுப்பாடும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

15. And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy wherein he was engaged, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

16. அப்பொழுது மெனாகேம் திப்சா பட்டணத்தையும், அதிலுள்ள யாவையும், திர்சா தொடங்கி அதின் எல்லைகளையும் முறிய அடித்தான்; அவர்கள் தனக்கு வாசலைத் திறக்கவில்லை என்று அவர்களை வெட்டி, அவர்களுடைய கர்ப்பவதிகளையெல்லாம் கீறிப்போட்டான்.

16. Then Menahem attacked both Tipsah and all that were in it, and its borders extending beyond Tipsah, because they opened not to him. And he attacked it, and ripped up the women with child.

17. யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அசரியாவின் முப்பத்தொன்பதாம் வருஷத்தில், காதியின் குமாரனாகிய மெனாகேம் இஸ்ரவேல்மேல் ராஜாவாகி சமாரியாவிலே பத்துவருஷம், ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணி, அவன் தன் நாட்களிலெல்லாம் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.

17. In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem the son of Gadi began to reign over Israel in Samaria, [and reigned] ten years.

18. இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை விட்டு விலகாதிருந்தான்.

18. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord. He departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who led Israel to sin.

19. அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய பூல், தேசத்திற்கு விரோதமாய் வந்தான்; அப்பொழுது மெனாகேம் பூலின் உதவியினால் ராஜ்யபாரத்தை தன் கையில் பலப்படுத்தும்பொருட்டு, அவனுக்கு ஆயிரம் தாலந்து வெள்ளி கொடுத்தான்.

19. In his days Pul king of the Assyrians went up against the land: and Menahem gave to Pul a thousand talents of silver to aid him with his power.

20. இந்தப் பணத்தை அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்படி, மெனாகேம் இஸ்ரவேலில் பலத்த ஐசுவரியவான்களிடத்தில் ஆள் ஒன்றிற்கு ஐம்பது வெள்ளிச் சேக்கல் தண்டினான்; அப்படியே அசீரியாவின் ராஜா தேசத்திலே நிற்காமல் திரும்பிப்போனான்.

20. And Menahem raised the silver [by a tax] upon Israel, even on every mighty man in wealth, to give to the king of the Assyrians; fifty shekels [were levied] on each man; and the king of the Assyrians departed, and remained not there in the land.

21. மெனாகேமின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

21. And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, behold, are not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

22. மெனாகேம் தன் பிதாக்களோடு நித்திரையடைந்தபின், அவன் குமாரனாகிய பெக்காகியா அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

22. And Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his son reigned in his place.

23. யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அசரியாவின் ஐம்பதாம் வருஷத்தில், மெனாகேமின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்காகியா இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாகி சமாரியாவிலே இரண்டுவருஷம் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணி,

23. In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, [and reigned] two years.

24. கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; அவன் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை விட்டு விலகவில்லை.

24. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord. He departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

25. ஆனாலும் ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்கா என்னும் அவனுடைய சேர்வைக்காரன் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி, கீலேயாத் புத்திரரில் ஐம்பதுபேரைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, அவனையும் அர்கோபையும் ஆரியேயையும் ராஜாவின் வீடாகிய அரமனையிலே சமாரியாவில் வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

25. And Pekah the son of Remaliah, his officer, conspired against him, and struck him in Samaria, in the front of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him [there were] fifty men of the four hundred. And he killed him, and reigned in his place.

26. பெக்காகியாவின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

26. And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

27. யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அசரியாவின் ஐம்பத்திரண்டாம் வருஷத்தில், ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்கா இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாகி சமாரியாவிலே இருபதுவருஷம் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணி,

27. In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, [and reigned] twenty years.

28. கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை அவன் விட்டு விலகவில்லை.

28. And he did that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord. He departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who led Israel to sin.

29. இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய பெக்காவின் நாட்களில் அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய திகிலாத்பிலேசர் வந்து, ஈயோனையும், பெத்மாக்கா என்னும் ஆபேலையும், யனோவாகையும், கேதேசையும், ஆத்சோரையும், கீலேயாத்தையும், கலிலேயாவாகிய நப்தலி தேசமனைத்தையும் பிடித்து, குடிகளைச் சிறையாக அசீரியாவுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனான்.

29. In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser king of the Assyrians came, and took Ijon, Abel, Beth Maachah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, [even] all the land of Naphtali, and carried them away to the Assyrians.

30. ஏலாவின் குமாரனாகிய ஓசெயா ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்காவுக்கு விரோதமாய் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி, அவனை உசியாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோதாமின் இருபதாம் வருஷத்தில் வெட்டிக்கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

30. And Hoshea son of Elah formed a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and struck him and killed him, and reigned in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Azariah.

31. பெக்காவின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

31. And the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, these [are] written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

32. இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய ரெமலியாவின் குமாரன் பெக்காவின் இரண்டாம் வருஷத்தில், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய உசியாவின் குமாரன் யோதாம் ராஜாவானான்.

32. In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham the son of Azariah king of Judah began to reign.

33. அவன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது, இருபத்தைந்து வயதாயிருந்து, எருசலேமிலே பதினாறுவருஷம் அரசாண்டான்; சாதோக்கின் குமாரத்தியாகிய அவன் தாயின் பேர் எருசாள்.

33. He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name [was] Jerusha, daughter of Zadok.

34. அவன் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான்; தன் தகப்பனாகிய உசியா செய்தபடியெல்லாம் செய்தான்.

34. And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all things that his father Azariah did.

35. மேடைகள் மாத்திரம் அகற்றப்படவில்லை; ஜனங்கள் இன்னும் மேடைகளின்மேல் பலியிட்டுத் தூபங்காட்டி வந்தார்கள்; இவன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் உயர்ந்த வாசலைக் கட்டினான்.

35. Nevertheless he took not away the high places; for the people still sacrificed and burnt incense on the high places. He built the Upper Gate of the Lord's house.

36. யோதாமின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும், யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

36. And the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, [are] not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

37. அந்நாட்களிலே கர்த்தர் சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ரேத்சீனையும், ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்காவையும் யூதாவுக்கு விரோதமாக அனுப்பத்தொடங்கினார்.

37. In those days the Lord began to send Rezin king of Syria, and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.

38. யோதாம் தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தபின். தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் பட்டணத்திலே தன் பிதாக்களண்டையில் அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவன் குமாரனாகிய ஆகாஸ் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

38. And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the City of David his father. And Ahaz his son reigned in his place.
