1. ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் சமஸ்த இஸ்ரவேலின்மேலும் ராஜாவாயிருந்தான்.

1. So King Solomon ruled over all Israel.

2. அவனுக்கு இருந்த பிரபுக்கள்: சாதோக்கின் குமாரனாகிய அசரியா பிரதான மந்திரியாயிருந்தான்.

2. And these were his chief officials: Azariah son of Zadokthe priest;

3. சீசாவின் குமாரராகிய ஏலிகோரேப்பும் அகியாவும் சம்பிரதிகளாயிருந்தார்கள்; அகிலூதின் குமாரன் யோசபாத் மந்திரியாயிருந்தான்.

3. Elihoreph and Ahijah, sons of Shishasecretaries; Jehoshaphat son of Ahiludrecorder;

4. யோய்தாவின் குமாரன் பெனாயா படைத்தலைவனும், சாதோக்கும் அபியத்தாரும் ஆசாரியர்களுமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

4. Benaiah son of Jehoiadacommander in chief; Zadok and Abiatharpriests;

5. நாத்தானின் குமாரன் அசரியா மணியகாரரின் தலைவனாயிருந்தான்; நாத்தானின் குமாரன் சாபூத் ராஜாவின் பிரதானியும் இஷ்டனுமாயிருந்தான்.

5. Azariah son of Nathanin charge of the district governors; Zabud son of Nathana priest and adviser to the king;

6. அகீஷார் அரமனை விசாரிப்புக்காரனும், அப்தாவின் குமாரன் அதோனீராம் பகுதி விசாரிப்புக்காரனுமாய் இருந்தான்.

6. Ahisharpalace administrator; Adoniram son of Abdain charge of forced labor.

7. ராஜாவுக்கும் அவன் அரமனைக்கும் வேண்டிய உணவுப்பொருள்களைச் சேகரிக்கிற பன்னிரண்டு மணியகாரர் சாலொமோனுக்கு இஸ்ரவேல் தேசமெங்கும் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் மாதத்துக்கு ஒவ்வொருவராக வருஷமுழுவதும் பராமரித்துவந்தார்கள்.

7. Solomon had twelve district governors over all Israel, who supplied provisions for the king and the royal household. Each one had to provide supplies for one month in the year.

8. These are their names: Ben-Hurin the hill country of Ephraim;

9. Ben-Dekerin Makaz, Shaalbim, Beth Shemesh and Elon Bethhanan;

10. ஏசேதின் குமாரன், இவன் அறுபோத்தில் இருந்தான்; சோகோவும் எப்பேர் சீமையனைத்தும் இவன் விசாரிப்பில் இருந்தது.

10. Ben-Hesedin Arubboth (Sokoh and all the land of Hepher were his);

11. Ben-Abinadabin Naphoth Dor (he was married to Taphath daughter of Solomon);

12. அகிலூதின் குமாரனாகிய பானா, இவன் விசாரிப்பில், தானாகும், மெகிதோவும், சர்த்தனாவுக்குப் பக்கமாகவும் யெஸ்ரயேலுக்குக் கீழாகவும் பெத்செயான் தொடங்கி ஆபேல் மெகொல்லாமட்டும் யக்மெயாமுக்கு அப்புறத்துமட்டும் இருக்கிற பெத்செயான் அனைத்தும் இருந்தது.

12. Baana son of Ahiludin Taanach and Megiddo, and in all of Beth Shan next to Zarethan below Jezreel, from Beth Shan to Abel Meholah across to Jokmeam;

13. கேபேரின் குமாரன், இவன் கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்தில் இருந்தான்; கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள மனாசேயின் குமாரனாகிய யாவீரின் கிராமங்களும் மதில்களும் வெண்கலத் தாழ்ப்பாள்களுமுள்ள பாசான் தேசத்தினுடைய அறுபது பெரிய பட்டணங்களுள்ள அர்கோப் சீமையும் இவன் விசாரிப்பில் இருந்தது.

13. Ben-Geberin Ramoth Gilead (the settlements of Jair son of Manasseh in Gilead were his, as well as the region of Argob in Bashan and its sixty large walled cities with bronze gate bars);

14. இத்தோவின் குமாரன் அகினதாப், இவன் மக்னாயீமில் இருந்தான்.

14. Ahinadab son of Iddoin Mahanaim;

15. அகிமாஸ், இவன் நப்தலியில் இருந்தான்; இவன் சாலொமோனுக்கு இருந்த ஒரு குமாரத்தியாகிய பஸ்மாத் என்பவளை விவாகம்பண்ணினான்.

15. Ahimaazin Naphtali (he had married Basemath daughter of Solomon);

16. ஊசாயின் குமாரன் பானா, இவன் ஆசேரிலும் ஆலோத்திலும் இருந்தான்.

16. Baana son of Hushaiin Asher and in Aloth;

17. பருவாவின் குமாரன் யோசபாத், இவன் இசக்காரில் இருந்தான்.

17. Jehoshaphat son of Paruahin Issachar;

18. ஏலாவின் குமாரன் சீமேயி, இவன் பென்யமீனில் இருந்தான்.

18. Shimei son of Elain Benjamin;

19. ஊரியின் குமாரன் கேபேர், இவன் எமோரியரின் ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனுக்கும் பாசானின் ராஜாவாகிய ஓகுக்கும் இருந்த தேசமாகிய கீலேயாத் தேசத்தில் இருந்தான்; இவன் மாத்திரம் அத்தேசத்தில் அதிபதியாய் இருந்தான்.

19. Geber son of Uriin Gilead (the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and the country of Og king of Bashan). He was the only governor over the district.

20. யூதாவும் இஸ்ரவேலும் கடற்கரை மணலத்தனை ஏராளமாயிருந்து, புசித்துக்குடித்து மகிழ்ந்து கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

20. The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand on the seashore; they ate, they drank and they were happy.

21. நதிதொடங்கி, பெலிஸ்தர் தேசவழியாய் எகிப்தின் எல்லைமட்டும் இருக்கிற சகல ராஜ்யங்களையும் சாலொமோன் ஆண்டுகொண்டிருந்தான்; அவர்கள் சாலொமோனுக்குக் காணிக்கைகளைக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவன் உயிரோடிருந்த நாளெல்லாம் அவனைச் சேவித்தார்கள்.

21. And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. These countries brought tribute and were Solomon's subjects all his life.

22. Solomon's daily provisions were thirty cors of the finest flour and sixty cors of meal,

23. ten head of stall-fed cattle, twenty of pasture-fed cattle and a hundred sheep and goats, as well as deer, gazelles, roebucks and choice fowl.

24. நதிக்கு இப்புறத்தில் இருக்கிற திப்சாமுதற்கொண்டு ஆசாமட்டுமுள்ளவையெல்லாவற்றையும், நதிக்கு இப்புறத்திலுள்ள சகல ராஜாக்களையும் ஆண்டுவந்தான்; அவனைச் சுற்றி எங்கும் சமாதானமாயிருந்தது.

24. For he ruled over all the kingdoms west of the Euphrates River, from Tiphsah to Gaza, and had peace on all sides.

25. சாலொமோனுடைய நாளெல்லாம் தாண் துவக்கிப் பெயெர்செபாமட்டும், யூதாவும் இஸ்ரவேலும் அவரவர் தங்கள் தங்கள் திராட்சச்செடியின் நிழலிலும், தங்கள் தங்கள் அத்திமரத்தின் நிழலிலும் சுகமாய்க் குடியிருந்தார்கள்.

25. During Solomon's lifetime Judah and Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, lived in safety, everyone under their own vine and fig tree.

26. சாலொமோனுக்கு நாலாயிரம் இரதக்குதிரைலாயங்களும், பன்னீராயிரம் குதிரை வீரரும் இருந்தார்கள்.

26. Solomon had four thousand stalls for chariot horses, and twelve thousand horses.

27. மேற்சொல்லிய மணியகாரரில் ஒவ்வொருவரும் தன்தன் மாதத்திலே சாலொமோன் ராஜாவுக்கும், ராஜாவின் பந்திக்கு வரும் யாவருக்கும் வேண்டியவைகளை ஒரு குறைவுமின்றி பராமரித்து,

27. The district governors, each in his month, supplied provisions for King Solomon and all who came to the king's table. They saw to it that nothing was lacking.

28. குதிரைகளுக்கும் ஒட்டகங்களுக்கும் வேண்டிய வாற்கோதுமையையும், வைக்கோலையும், அவரவர் தங்களுக்கு இடப்பட்ட கட்டளையின்படி அவைகள் இருக்கும் ஸ்தலத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவருவார்கள்.

28. They also brought to the proper place their quotas of barley and straw for the chariot horses and the other horses.

29. தேவன் சாலொமோனுக்கு மிகுதியான ஞானத்தையும் புத்தியையும், கடற்கரை மணலத்தனையான மனோவிருத்தியையும் கொடுத்தார்.

29. God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.

30. சகல கிழக்கத்திப் புத்திரரின் ஞானத்தையும் எகிப்தியரின் சகல ஞானத்தையும்பார்க்கிலும் சாலொமோனின் ஞானம் சிறந்ததாயிருந்தது.

30. Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.

31. அவன் எஸ்ராகியனாகிய ஏத்தானிலும், ஏமான், கல்கோல், தர்தா என்னும் மாகோலின் குமாரரிலும், மற்ற எல்லா மனுஷரிலும் ஞானவானாயிருந்தான்; சுற்றிலும் இருந்த சகல ஜாதிகளிலும் அவன் கீர்த்தி பிரபலமாயிருந்தது.

31. He was wiser than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahitewiser than Heman, Kalkol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations.

32. அவன் மூவாயிரம் நீதிமொழிகளைச் சொன்னான்; அவனுடைய பாட்டுகள் ஆயிரத்து ஐந்து.

32. He spoke three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five.

33. லீபனோனில் இருக்கிற கேதுரு மரங்கள் முதற்கொண்டு சுவரில் முளைக்கிற ஈசோப்புப் பூண்டு வரைக்குமுள்ள மரமுதலிய தாவரங்களைக்குறித்தும், மிருகங்கள் பறவைகள் ஊரும் பிராணிகள் மச்சங்கள் ஆகிய இவைகளைக் குறித்தும் வாக்கியங்களைச் சொன்னான்.

33. He spoke about plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of walls. He also spoke about animals and birds, reptiles and fish.

34. சாலொமோனின் ஞானத்தைக் குறித்துக் கேள்விப்பட்ட பூமியின் சகல ராஜாக்களிடத்திலுமிருந்து நானாஜாதியான ஜனங்களும் அவனுடைய ஞானத்தைக் கேட்கிறதற்கு வந்தார்கள்.

34. From all nations people came to listen to Solomon's wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom.
