2. கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலுக்காக நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டினதினிமித்தமும், ஜனங்கள் மனப்பூர்வமாய்த் தங்களை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்ததினிமித்தமும் அவரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்.

2. Now that ye are come to rest, ye quyete men in Israel, prayse ye LORDE, amonge soch of the people as be fre wyllinge.

3. ராஜாக்களே, கேளுங்கள்; அதிபதிகளே, செவிகொடுங்கள்; நான் கர்த்தரைப் பாடி, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுவேன்.

3. Heare ye kynges, & herken to ye prynces: I wyl, I wyl synge to the LORDE, euen vnto the LORDE ye God of Israel wil I playe.

4. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் சேயீரிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, ஏதோமின் வெளியிலிருந்து நடந்து வருகையில், பூமி அதிர்ந்தது, வானம் சொரிந்தது, மேகங்களும் தண்ணீராய்ப் பொழிந்தது.

7. தெபொராளாகிய நான் எழும்புமளவும், இஸ்ரவேலிலே நான் தாயாக எழும்புமளவும், கிராமங்கள் பாழாய்ப்போயின, இஸ்ரவேலின் கிராமங்கள் பாழாய்ப்போயின.

8. நூதன தேவர்களைத் தெரிந்து கொண்டார்கள்; அப்பொழுது யுத்தம் வாசல்வரையும் வந்தது; இஸ்ரவேலிலே நாற்பதினாயிரம்பேருக்குள்ளே கேடகமும் ஈட்டியும் காணப்பட்டதுண்டோ?

9. ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே தங்களை மனப்பூர்வமாய் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்த இஸ்ரவேலின் அதிபதிகளை என் இருதயம் நாடுகிறது; கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்.

9. My hert loueth ye teachers of Israel: ye yt are frewyllinge amonge the people, prayse the LORDE.

10. வெள்ளைக் கழுதைகளின்மேல் ஏறுகிறவர்களே, நியாயஸ்தலத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கிறவர்களே, வழியில் நடக்கிறவர்களே, இதைப் பிரஸ்தாபியுங்கள்.

10. Ye that ryde vpo fayre Asses, ye that syt in iudgment and geue sentence, ye that go by the waye, prayse the LORDE.

14. அமலேக்குக்கு விரோதமாக இவர்களுடைய வேர் எப்பிராயீமிலிருந்து துளிர்த்தது; உன் ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே பென்யமீன் மனுஷர் உனக்குப் பின்சென்றார்கள்; மாகீரிலிருந்து அதிபதிகளும், செபுலோனிலிருந்து எழுதுகோலைப் பிடிக்கிறவர்களும் இறங்கிவந்தார்கள்.

15. இசக்காரின் பிரபுக்களும் தெபொராளோடே இருந்தார்கள்; பாராக்கைப்போல இசக்கார் மனுஷரும் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் கால்நடையாய் அனுப்பப்பட்டுப்போனார்கள்; ரூபனின் பிரிவினைகளால் உண்டான இருதயத்தின் நினைவுகள் மிகுதி.

17. கீலேயாத் மனுஷர் யோர்தானுக்கு அக்கரையிலே இருந்துவிட்டார்கள்; தாண் மனுஷர் கப்பல்களில் தங்கியிருந்ததென்ன? ஆசேர் மனுஷர் கடற்கரையிலே தங்கி, தங்கள் குடாக்களில் தாபரித்தார்கள்.

18. செபுலோனும் நப்தலியும் போர்க்களத்து முனையிலே தங்கள் உயிரை எண்ணாமல் மரணத்துக்குத் துணிந்து நின்றார்கள்.

19. ராஜாக்கள் வந்து யுத்தம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அப்பொழுது கானானியரின் ராஜாக்கள் மெகிதோவின் தண்ணீர் அருகான தானாக்கிலே யுத்தம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அவர்களுக்குத் திரவியக்கொள்ளை கிடைக்கவில்லை.

21. கீசோன் நதி, பூர்வ நதியாகிய கீசோன் நதியே, அவர்களை அடித்துக்கொண்டு போயிற்று; என் ஆத்துமாவே, நீ பலவான்களை மிதித்தாய்.

22. அப்பொழுது குதிரைகளின் குளம்புகள், பாய்ச்சலினாலே, பலவான்களின் பாய்ச்சலினாலேயே, பிளந்துபோயின.

23. மேரோசைச் சபியுங்கள்; அதின் குடிகளைச் சபிக்கவே சபியுங்கள் என்று கர்த்தருடைய தூதனானவர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அவர்கள் கர்த்தர் பட்சத்தில் துணை நிற்க வரவில்லை; பராக்கிரமசாலிகளுக்கு விரோதமாய் அவர்கள் கர்த்தர் பட்சத்தில் துணைநிற்க வரவில்லையே.

24. ஸ்திரீகளுக்குள்ளே கேனியனான ஏபேரின் மனைவியாகிய யாகேல் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்ட்டவள்; கூடாரத்தில் வாசமாயிருக்கிற ஸ்திரீகளுக்குள்ளே அவள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவளே.

27. அவள் கால் அருகே அவன் மடங்கி விழுந்துகிடந்தான், அவள் கால் அருகே மடங்கி விழுந்தான்; அவன் எங்கே மடங்கி விழுந்தானோ அங்கே மடிந்துகிடந்தான்.

27. He bowed him selfe downe at hir fete, he fell downe, and laye there. He sanke downe, and fell at hir fete: whan he had soncke downe, he laye there destroyed.

28. சிசெராவின் தாய் ஜன்னலில் நின்று பலகணி வழியாய்ப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்து: அவனுடைய இரதம் வராமல் பிந்திப்போனதென்ன? அவனுடைய இரதங்களின் ஓட்டம் தாமதிக்கிறதென்ன என்று புலம்பினாள்.

28. His mother loked out at the wyndowe, & cried piteously thorow the trallace: Why tarieth his charet out so loge, that he cometh not? Wherfore do the wheles of his charet make so longe tarienge?

29. அவளுடைய நாயகிகளில் புத்திசாலிகள் அவளுக்கு உத்தரவு சொன்னதுமின்றி, அவள் தானும் தனக்கு மறுமொழியாக:

30. அவர்கள் கொள்ளையைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கவில்லையோ, அதைப் பங்கிடவேண்டாமோ, ஆளுக்கு இரண்டொரு பெண்களையும், சிசெராவுக்குக் கொள்ளையிட்ட பலவருணமான ஆடைகளையும், கொள்ளையிட்ட பலவருணமான சித்திரத் தையலாடைகளையும், கொள்ளையிட்டவர்களின் கழுத்துக்கு இருபுறமும் பொருந்தும் சித்திரத்தையலுள்ள பலவருணமான ஆடையையும் கொடுக்கவேண்டாமோ என்றாள்.

30. Shulde they not finde & deuide the spoyle, vnto euery man a fayre mayde or two for a pray, & partye coloured garmetes of nedle worke to Sissera for a spoyle, partye coloured garmentes of nedle worke aboute the necke for a pray?

31. கர்த்தாவே, உம்மைப் பகைக்கிற யாவரும் இப்படியே அழியக்கடவர்கள்; அவரில் அன்புகூருகிறவர்களோ, வல்லமையோடே உதிக்கிற சூரியனைப்போல இருக்கக்கடவர்கள் என்று பாடினார்கள். பின்பு தேசம் நாற்பது வருஷம் அமைதலாயிருந்தது.
