1. எபேசு சபையின் தூதனுக்கு நீ எழுதவேண்டியது என்னவெனில்: ஏழு நட்சத்திரங்களைத் தம்முடைய வலதுகரத்தில் ஏந்திக்கொண்டு, ஏழு பொன் குத்துவிளக்குகளின் மத்தியிலே உலாவிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறவர் சொல்லுகிறதாவது;

1. Unto the messenger of the assembly, in Ephesus, write: These things, saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, he that walketh in the midst of the seven lamps of gold:

2. உன் கிரியைகளையும், உன் பிரயாசத்தையும், உன் பொறுமையையும், நீ பொல்லாதவர்களைச் சகிக்கக்கூடாமலிருக்கிறதையும், அப்போஸ்தலரல்லாதவர்கள் தங்களை அப்போஸ்தலரென்று சொல்லுகிறதை நீ சோதித்து அவர்களைப் பொய்யரென்று கண்டறிந்ததையும்;

2. I know thy works, and thy toil, and endurance, and that thou canst not bear bad men, and thou hast tried them who were affirming themselves to be apostles, and they were not, and hast found them false;

4. Nevertheless, I have against thee, that, thy first love, thou hast left.

5. ஆகையால், நீ இன்ன நிலைமையிலிருந்து விழுந்தாயென்பதை நினைத்து, மனந்திரும்பி, ஆதியில் செய்த கிரியைகளைச் செய்வாயாக; இல்லாவிட்டால் நான் சீக்கிரமாய் உன்னிடத்தில் வந்து, நீ மனந்திரும்பாதபட்சத்தில், உன் விளக்குத்தண்டை அதனிடத்தினின்று நீக்கிவிடுவேன்.

5. Remember, therefore, whence thou hast fallen, and repent, and do, thy first works; otherwise, I come unto thee, and will remove thy lamp out of its place, except thou repent.

9. I know thy tribulation, and destitution, nevertheless, thou art, rich, and the profane speech from among them who affirm that they themselves are, Jews, and they are not, but a synagogue of Satan.

10. Do not fear the things which thou art about to suffer. Lo! the adversary is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried, and may have tribulation ten days. Become thou faithful until death, and I will give thee the crown of life.

13. I know where thou dwellest, where, the throne of Satan, is; and thou art holding fast my name, and didst not deny my faith, even in the days of Antipas, my witness, my faithful one, who was killed near you, where, Satan, dwelleth.

14. Nevertheless, I have against thee, a few things, that thou hast there, such as hold fast the teaching of Balaam, who went on to teach Balak to throw a cause of stumbling before the sons of Israel, to eat idol-sacrifices and to commit lewdness:

20. Nevertheless, I have against thee, that thou sufferest the woman Jezebel, she who calleth herself a prophetess, and is teaching and leading astray my own servants to commit lewdness and to eat idol-sacrifices;

21. அவள் மனந்திரும்பும்படியாய் அவளுக்குத் தவணைகொடுத்தேன்; தன் வேசிமார்க்கத்தை விட்டு மனந்திரும்ப அவளுக்கு விருப்பமில்லை.

21. and I gave her time, that she might repent, and she willeth not to repent out of her lewdness.

22. இதோ, நான் அவளைக் கட்டில்கிடையாக்கி, அவளுடனே விபசாரஞ்செய்தவர்கள் தங்களுடைய கிரியைகளைவிட்டு மனந்திரும்பாவிட்டால் அவர்களையும் மிகுந்த உபத்திரவத்திலே தள்ளி,

22. Lo! I cast her into a bed, and them who are committing adultery with her, into great tribulation, except they repent out of her works;

23. அவளுடைய பிள்ளைகளையும் கொல்லவே கொல்லுவேன்; அப்பொழுது நானே உள்ளிந்திரியங்களையும் இருதயங்களையும் ஆராய்கிறவரென்று எல்லாச் சபைகளும் அறிந்துகொள்ளும்; அன்றியும் உங்களில் ஒவ்வொருவனுக்கும் உங்கள் கிரியைகளின்படியே பலனளிப்பேன்.

23. and, her children, will I slay with death; and all the assemblies shall get to know, that, I, am he that searcheth reins and hearts, and will give unto you, each one, according to your works.

24. தியாத்தீராவிலே இந்தப் போதகத்தைப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளாமலும், சாத்தானுடைய ஆழங்கள் என்று அவர்கள் சொல்லுகிறார்களே, அந்த ஆழங்களை அறிந்துகொள்ளாமலுமிருக்கிற மற்றவர்களாகிய உங்களுக்கு நான் சொல்லுகிறதாவது; உங்கள்மேல் வேறொரு பாரத்தையும் சுமத்தமாட்டேன்.

24. But, unto you, I say, the rest who are in Thyatira, as many as have not this teaching, such as have not come to know the deep things of Satan, as they say, I do not cast upon you any other burden;

25. உங்களுக்குள்ளதை நான் வருமளவும் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருங்கள்.

25. nevertheless, what ye have, hold fast, till I shall have come.
