1. அப்பொழுது லேவியரின் வம்சப்பிதாக்களின் தலைவர்; கானான்தேசத்திலிருக்கிற சீலோவிலே ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரிடத்திலும், நூனின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவாவினிடத்திலும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய கோத்திரப் பிதாக்களிலுள்ள தலைவரிடத்திலும் சேர்ந்துவந்து:

1. Then the heads of fathers of the Levites came near to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel.

2. நாங்கள் குடியிருக்கும் பட்டணங்களையும், எங்கள் மிருகஜீவனுக்காக வெளிநிலங்களையும் எங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்படி, கர்த்தர் மோசேயைக்கொண்டு கட்டளையிட்டாரே என்றார்கள்.

2. And they spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, LORD commanded Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs of it for our cattle.

3. கர்த்தருடைய வாக்கின்படியே, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தங்கள் சுதந்தரத்திலே லேவியருக்குப் பட்டணங்களையும் அவைகளின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்.

3. And the sons of Israel gave to the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of LORD, these cities with their suburbs:

4. கோகாத்தியரின் வம்சங்களுக்குச் சீட்டு விழுந்தது; அந்தச் சீட்டின்படி லேவியரில் ஆசாரியனாகிய ஆரோனின் குமாரருக்கு யூதா கோத்திரத்திலும், சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்திலும், பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்திலும் கிடைத்த பட்டணங்கள் பதின்மூன்று.

4. And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites. And the sons of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.

5. கோகாத்தின் மற்றப் புத்திரருக்கு, எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தின் வம்சங்களுக்குள்ளும், தாண் கோத்திரத்திலும், மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்திலும், சீட்டினால் கிடைத்த பட்டணங்கள் பத்து.

5. And the rest of the sons of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.

6. கெர்சோன் புத்திரருக்கு, இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தின் வம்சங்களுக்குள்ளும், ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்திலும், நப்தலி கோத்திரத்திலும், பாசானிலிருக்கிற மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்திலும், சீட்டினால் கிடைத்த பட்டணங்கள் பதின்மூன்று.

6. And the sons of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

7. மெராரி புத்திரருக்கு, அவர்கள் வம்சங்களின்படியே, ரூபன் கோத்திரத்திலும், காத் கோத்திரத்திலும், செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்திலும் கிடைத்த பட்டணங்கள் பன்னிரண்டு.

7. The sons of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

8. இந்தப் பட்டணங்களையும் அவைகளின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர், கர்த்தர் மோசேயைக்கொண்டு கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, சீட்டுப்போட்டு லேவியருக்குக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.

8. And the sons of Israel gave these cities by lot to the Levites with their suburbs, as LORD commanded by Moses.

9. லேவியின் குமாரரில் முதலாம் சீட்டைப்பெற்ற கோகாத்தியரின் வம்சங்களிலே இருக்கிற ஆரோனின் குமாரருக்கு,

9. And they gave out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name,

10. யூதா புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்திலும், சிமியோன் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்திலும், அவர்கள் கொடுத்தவைகளும் பேர்பேராகச் சொல்லப்பட்டவைகளுமான பட்டணங்களின் நாமங்களாவன:

10. and they were for the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the sons of Levi, for theirs was the first lot.

11. யூதாவின் மலைத்தேசத்தில் ஆனாக்கின் தகப்பனாகிய அர்பாவின் பட்டணமான எபிரோனையும் அதைச் சூழ்ந்த வெளிநிலங்களையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.

11. And they gave them Kiriath-arba, Arba was the father of Anak (the same is Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, with the suburbs of it round about it.

12. பட்டணத்தைச் சேர்ந்த வயல்களையும் அதின் பட்டிகளையும் எப்புன்னேயின் குமாரனாகிய காலேபுக்குக் காணியாட்சியாகக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.

12. But the fields of the city, and the villages of it, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

13. இப்படியே கொலைசெய்தவனுக்கு அடைக்கலப்பட்டணமாக ஆசாரியனாகிய ஆரோனின் குமாரருக்கு எபிரோனையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், லிப்னாவையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும்,

13. And to the sons of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Libnah with its suburbs,

14. யாத்தீரையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், எஸ்தெமொவாவையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும்,

14. and Jattir with its suburbs, and Eshtemoa with its suburbs,

15. ஓலோனையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், தெபீரையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும்,

15. and Holon with its suburbs, and Debir with its suburbs,

16. ஆயினையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், யுத்தாவையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், பெத்ஷிமேசையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்; அந்த இரண்டு கோத்திரங்களிலிருக்கிற பட்டணங்கள் ஒன்பது.

16. and Ain with its suburbs, and Juttah with its suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with its suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes.

17. பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்திலே அவர்களுக்குக் கிபியோனையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் கேபாவையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும்,

17. And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its suburbs, Geba with its suburbs,

18. ஆனதோத்தையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், அல்மோனையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்; இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் நாலு.

18. Anathoth with its suburbs, and Almon with its suburbs; four cities.

19. ஆசாரியரான ஆரோனுடைய குமாரரின் பட்டணங்களெல்லாம் அவைகளின் வெளிநிலங்களுட்பட பதின்மூன்று.

19. All the cities of the sons of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their suburbs.

20. லேவியரான கோகாத்தின் புத்திரரில் மீதியான அவர்களுடைய மற்ற வம்சங்களுக்கு எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்திலே அவர்களுக்குப் பங்குவீதமாக அவர்கள் கொடுத்த பட்டணங்களாவன:

20. And the families of the sons of Kohath, the Levites, even the rest of the sons of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.

21. கொலைசெய்தவனுக்கு அடைக்கலப்பட்டணமான எப்பிராயீமின் மலைத்தேசத்தில் இருக்கிற சீகேமையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், கேசேரையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும்,

21. And they gave them Shechem with its suburbs in the hill-country of Ephraim, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Gezer with its suburbs,

22. கிப்சாயீமையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், பெத்தொரோனையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்கள்; இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் நாலு.

22. and Kibzaim with its suburbs, and Beth-horon with its suburbs; four cities.

23. தாண் கோத்திரத்திலே எல்தெக்கேயையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், கிபெத்தோனையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும்,

23. And out of the tribe of Dan, Elteke with its suburbs, Gibbethon with its suburbs,

24. ஆயலோனையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், காத்ரிம்மோனையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்கள்; இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் நாலு.

24. Aijalon with its suburbs, Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; four cities.

25. மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்திலே தானாகையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், காத்ரிம்மோனையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்கள்; இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் இரண்டு.

25. And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with its suburbs, and Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; two cities.

26. கோகாத் புத்திரரின் மீதியான வம்சங்களுக்கு உண்டான பட்டணங்களெல்லாம் அவைகளின் வெளிநிலங்களுட்பட பத்து.

26. All the cities of the families of the rest of the sons of Kohath were ten with their suburbs.

27. லேவியரின் வம்சங்களிலே கெர்சோன் புத்திரருக்கு மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்தில் கொலை செய்தவனுக்கு அடைக்கலப்பட்டணமான பாசானிலுள்ள கோலானையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், பெயேஸ்திராவையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்; இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் இரண்டு.

27. And to the sons of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Be-eshterah with its suburbs; two cities.

28. இசக்காரின் கோத்திரத்திலே கீசோனையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், தாபராத்தையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும்,

28. And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with its suburbs, Daberath with its suburbs,

29. யர்மூத்தையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், என்கன்னீமையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்; இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் நாலு.

29. Jarmuth with its suburbs, En-gannim with its suburbs; four cities.

30. ஆசேரின் கோத்திரத்திலே மிஷயாலையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், அப்தோனையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும்,

30. And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its suburbs, Abdon with its suburbs,

31. எல்காத்தையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், ரேகோபையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்; இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் நாலு.

31. Helkath with its suburbs, and Rehob with its suburbs; four cities.

32. நப்தலி கோத்திரத்திலே கொலைசெய்தவனுக்கு அடைக்கலப்பட்டணமாக கலிலேயாவிலுள்ள கேதேசையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், அம்மோத்தோரையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், கர்தானையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்; இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் மூன்று.

32. And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Hammoth-dor with its suburbs, and Kartan with its suburbs; three cities.

33. கெர்சோனியருக்கு அவர்கள் வம்சங்களின்படி உண்டான பட்டணங்களெல்லாம் அவைகளின் வெளிநிலங்களுட்பட பதின்மூன்று.

33. All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with their suburbs.

34. மற்ற லேவியராகிய மெராரி புத்திரரின் வம்சங்களுக்குச் செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்திலே யொக்னியாமையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், கர்தாவையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும்,

34. And to the families of the sons of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with its suburbs, and Kartah with its suburbs,

35. திம்னாவையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், நகலாலையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்; இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் நாலு.

35. Dimnah with its suburbs, Nahalal with its suburbs; four cities.

36. ரூபன் கோத்திரத்திலே பேசேரையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், யாகசாவையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும்,

36. And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with its suburbs, and Jahaz with its suburbs,

37. கெதெமோத்தையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், மெபாகாத்தையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்; இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் நாலு.

37. Kedemoth with its suburbs, and Mephaath with its suburbs; four cities.

38. காத் கோத்திரத்திலே கொலை செய்தவனுக்கு அடைக்கலப்பட்டணமாக, கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்தையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், மக்னாயீமையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும்,

38. And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Mahanaim with its suburbs,

39. எஸ்போனையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், யாசேரையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்; இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் நாலு.

39. Heshbon with its suburbs, Jazer with its suburbs; four cities in all.

40. இவைகளெல்லாம் லேவியரின் மற்றவம்சங்களாகிய மெராரி புத்திரருக்கு, அவர்கள் வம்சங்களின்படி கிடைத்த பட்டணங்கள்; அவர்களுடைய பங்குவீதம் பன்னிரண்டு பட்டணங்கள்.

40. All these were the cities of the sons of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.

41. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய காணியாட்சியின் நடுவிலே இருக்கிற லேவியரின் பட்டணங்களெல்லாம், அவைகளின் வெளிநிலங்களுட்பட நாற்பத்தெட்டு.

41. All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel were forty-eight cities with their suburbs.

42. இந்தப் பட்டணங்களில் ஒவ்வொன்றிற்கும் அததைச் சூழ்ந்த வெளிநிலங்கள் இருந்தது; எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களுக்கும் அப்படியே இருந்தது.

42. These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them. Thus it was with all these cities.

43. இந்தப்பிரகாரமாகக் கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்தையெல்லாம் கொடுத்தார்; அவர்கள் அவைகளைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டு, அவைகளிலே குடியிருந்தார்கள்.

43. So LORD gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give to their fathers, and they possessed it, and dwelt in it.

44. கர்த்தர் அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் அவர்களைச் சுற்றிலும் யுத்தமில்லாமல் இளைப்பாறப்பண்ணினார்; அவர்களுடைய எல்லாச் சத்துருக்களிலும் ஒருவரும் அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கவில்லை; அவர்கள் சத்துருக்களையெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் அவர்கள் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.

44. And LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he swore to their fathers. And there stood not a man of all their enemies before them. LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.

45. கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தாருக்குச் சொல்லியிருந்த நல்வார்த்தைகளிலெல்லாம் ஒரு வார்த்தையும் தவறிப்போகவில்லை; எல்லாம் நிறைவேறிற்று.

45. There failed not anything of any good thing which LORD had spoken to the house of Israel; all came to pass.
